Purchased a new handset on the 6th of may, j7 prime 32 gb, which had a manufacturing defect, which came up after 2 weeks on the 20th day.
The basic rule is for a replacement as it was a major defect with the motherboard of the handset, which affected the network.
Samsung does not advertise anywhere about their handset replacement policy which is before 14 days of purchase. I went to the service center on the 20th day that is 27th of may, and they accepted that it is a major manufacturing defect (Need to replace the motherboard of the handset).
They will not replace with a new handset but will replace the motherboard of the handset, immediately. These champions are not having the stock of the motherboard of the particular model and have asked for 3 - 4 days for the same, which is simply not acceptable.
I got a call from their service center, mentioning that the part is not available with any of their service centers, so i have to wait for the same, with no commitment for the number of days.
Samsung advertises about being customer friendly and this is what they do to a customer who has purchased a new handset with a genuine manufacturing defect which has been acknowledged by the service center.
Please think before buying samsung handsets.
