I have purchased a handset Samsung galaxy Ace GT -S5830OKIINS from M/S UNIQUE ELECTRONICS on 29 September 2012 . Just after ten days the new handset became bad and started hanging , the display becomes black , gets over heated , auto working . I went to Samsung Service Centre at 12,LOUDON STREET , MARUTI BUILDING , KOLKATA - 700017 they said that they will not replace it . Its is a pathetic condition with my new handset that Samsung is replacing it . Please don't buy anything from Samsung and i also suggested my relatives to don,t buy anything from Samsung . Its Simply a harassment . Samsung India Electronics Pvt Ltd should take care of their customers .

            Hello..

I have purchased Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos GT-S6802 in August,2012 and its dual SIM feature wasn't working in roaming, also Automatic Network Selection not working I have to select netwrok every time manually and facing many other problems about its functioning, i had given it to Samsung customer care and they has updated its software & returned the phone to me. Now again I am getting the same problem with a new problem(Screen Lock not working properly), and it is not possible for me to go to customer care again and again for the same problem.

I asked Customer Care to replace the Phone, but now they are telling we'll replace it's board (mother board), which is a very much time taking process.

I have purchased this phone for my convince but it is wasting my time only & Rs.12000 is big amount for me.
Please suggest me how can I get replaced it & where should I go or how can i get my money back?

Customer Care will waste warranty period of 1 year in all this and after one year they will say period is over.

I bought Samsung galaxy S2 from raipur when i visited there or a vacation.I bought it thinking that it bears model no. i9100. I was assured about this model no. because the same was printed on the box. But when i opened the box , i found the model no. of handset to be i9100g.
When i contacted samsung, they told me that we agree about the model mismatch but we can't offer you replacement as it is a refurbished handset.

Under consumer protection act 1886, One can't sell mentioning something else on box and selling something else inside.

I kindly request it to be replaced

                Dear Sir,

This is to bring to your kind notice that I had bought a Samsung Plasma TV (model number: PS42A450-W/M) on 6th September 2009. The product came with 2 year manufacturer’s warranty. However, the main panel of the TV (Part code: BN96-16256A) went bad immediately after the expiry of the warranty and needed to be replaced. Hence, in October 2011, I paid about Rs. 20,000 and got that panel replaced. The panel didn’t come with any warranty and there was no maintenance contract whatsoever that Samsung provided me. On my part, I have taken utmost care of the TV and it is always connected to a UPS considering the frequent electricity outages in Gurgaon.

In less than 12 months, the same panel has gone bad again in early September 2012. I filed a complaint with Samsung (ref number: [protected]). After a lot of follow up with Samsung and repeated requests to their servicing team, they have refused to replace the part free of cost for me.

I believe that the company provided me a defected part and is not taking any responsibility now. I bought this TV 3 years ago at a cost of Rs. 53,000. The panel costs Rs. 20,000. So in effect, I have already spent more than Rs. 73,000 on a TV the market value of which is only Rs. 35,000 today! It is not at all justified for Samsung to expect me to shell out another Rs. 20,000 again for the same part that doesn’t even come with any warranty.

Request you to kindly look into the matter and help me get a free-of-cost replacement of the panel with at least a 5-years’ warranty on the same. Else, Samsung should take away the TV and pay me back Rs. 73,000.

                Regards,
                Shilpi Shastri

                Samsung — Faulty plasma tv

Sir, I had bought Samsung Plasma tv series 4, 42" from military canteen authorised electronic shop in Jan.2009 for Rs.48000/-This plasma has worked for nearly one and half year since A major defect as vertical line appeared on the tv panel. I contacted Samsung company The firm had deputed engineer, he elobrated the fault as a major fault witout even touching the tv which can only be rectified by replacing main screen panel.
Subsequently, SAMSUNG HAS GIVEN THE estmate of Rs 24000/-(half of the cost price) for replacing the panel. It is wonderful that how the SAmsung is cheating the public by selling such hopeless costly products.
In this connecton,I request Samsung to kindly rectify the defect without changing screen panel. If it is not possible, then I will say that samsung is basically looting public. Thanks.

The mail I wrote to Samsung after their engineer visited again today - just to hghlight the pathetic attitude of Samsung towrads its customers:

                ___

                Dear Sir/ Madam,

Thank you very much for taking the pain of arranging a visit of your engineer (Mr. Bhushan, if I am not wrong, this was the name of the gentleman who came) to my place to have a look at the TV and understand the actual problem. While Mr. Bhushan will do his bit in terms of preparing a report and giving you the feedback, let me share my experience of the two-month ordeal with your service team. I am also marking this mail to Mr. B. D. Park and Mr. Ambrish Bakaya. Hopefully my plea and feedback will be attended to.

For the benefit of all, here’s a quick brief of the situation – the main panel of the Samsung Plasma TV that I have bought in July 2009 for Rs. 53, 000, went bad in two years. I paid nearly Rs. 16-17k on my own and got the panel replaced in Oct 2011. The same panel again went bad recently in August 2012 (less than 10 months!!!) and your company expects me to bear the cost of this faulty panel again (i.e. another 16-17k) to get the TV in working condition.

For your kind information, the current market price of the same TV is nearly Rs. 35k (as checked at a Croma store nearby). I have already spent about Rs.70k on this piece of junk and I am expected to spend another Rs.17k to get this TV in working condition. This means that you are expecting me to shell out about Rs. 90k for something that’s hardly worth Rs. 35k (about 40%). I hope you understand that in no way that sounds like a reasonable expectation.

My experience with Mr Bhushan (the engineer who visited today) kind of tells me that Samsung doesn’t care about its customers at all. So to start with, Mr. Bhushan comes to my place at about 7:30 pm; has a brief look at the TV; connects it to the power supply; examines the screen and finally declares that the panel is not working – all this done in a span of 5 minutes. Next, he tells me that the panel comes at a cost of Rs. 16k after discount. I tell him that I have already clearly expressed my requirement that I need a free-of-cost replacement for this faulty part with a 5-years warranty. The gentleman nods his head horizontally and tells me that “it’s out of question”. He asks me whether they should close my case as I am not willing to pay for the panel!!! On top of that, he also has the audacity to ask me to pay for his ‘visiting charges’!!! I then politely tell him to get out of my house.

You know, I am running out of words and patience to describe how betrayed I am feeling at the moment. All the promise of Samsung of “making a better world” is nothing more than a cheap marketing gimmick. This is how a customer gets treated when he puts in his faith and hard earned money in buying products from an MNC like yours. Trust me, I am not giving up on this and I am not going to leave any stone unturned to ensure that my story is known to the entire world and people think twice before buying any Samsung product.

                Very warm regards,
                Shilpi

                    Hi,
I brought the Samsung Handset(Galaxy GT i9003) on April 2011. For last 2 months, the back and Menu Button of my handset is not at all responding.
Kindly help me in resolving the issue. While googling the problem i saw people suggesting to change the entire Touch Screen(Cost 6k).
Do i have to spend an additional 6K for the phone which i bought for 20K???? .
Please help me solve the issue

My back and option(menu) buttons come and go. I installed a little app called button savior which allows you to use on screen menu and back keys... it requires that your phone is rooted. Works well!

                          Address: Central Delhi, Delhi

I had bought a Samsung 46" 3D LED Television from M/s. Sargam Enterprises on 24.10.2011. The model no. is UA-46D6600WRM, Sl. No. 20163ZEB900584A vide Invoice No. SJR-3718 for Rs. 96,000/- . The MRP of the system was Approx. Rs. 1,35,000/- on the date of purchase. On 13th of September the said television stopped working. I therefore, lodged a complaint with the SAMSUNG India toll free number. An engineer from Samsung India visited my house and checked the television. He informed me that the picture tube has some problems and the same cannot be rectified. Hence the television will be replaced as per the company norms since the same is under the warranty period if the same model is currently in vogue else I shall be refunded back the entire amount that I had paid for the same within 15 days. Subsequently, another person came and collected from me the photocopy of the bill, along with a copy of my identity and residence proof as part of the company's requirement for replacing the television. Suddenly, after about 5 days I received a call from the Samsung service center at Delhi stating that the part has arrived and that my television would be repaired after replacing the part. When I stated that your engineer had said that the same cannot be repaired I was replied that the engineer does not know anything and therefore has given me wrong information. I insisted on a replacement rather than repairing the same. I was said that a request regarding the same would be forwarded to the company and I shall be informed about the decision very soon. After about three days the local service unit of Samsung at Delhi informed me telephonically that the company has decided to refund me back Rs. 96,000/- to which I objected that it was not acceptable to me since the same model is still being sold my Samsung in the market presently. I was very rudely informed that I should contact the call center if I have any objection to their decision. I therefore, contacted the service center on 29.09.2012 (Ref. No. [protected]) and subsequently again on 01.10.2012 (Ref. No. [protected]) to inform about the issue and insisted for a replacement rather than receiving Rs. 96,000/- since there was some special discount during the purchase which would not be available to me now resulting in additional financial burden for buying a similar new television. Every time I was said that the issue has been flagged and I would be contacted by suitable senior functionary and issue would be solved within 24 hrs. However, nothing has happened till date. I am now writing to you to seek your help in this issue at the earliest keeping in view the approaching festive season.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy SII smartphone from Hotspot, Wastrapur lake, Ahmedabad on the 17th of September, 2012.

6 hours after I purchased the phone, a blue dot appeared on the screen and persisted for about 3 hours. Around 0830 pm, I approached the nearest Hotspot (it was late to go back to the original Hotspot) and complained about the dot. I was informed to revert back when the situation resurfaced.

The dot came back on the 19th of September, 2012 somewhere around evening. Photographs were taken the same evening.

I couldn’t report this issue on the same day because it was a Bharat bandh too. There was no dot on the 20th of September 2012. I was on holidays between 21-25 of September, 2012.

The dot resurfaced sometime during the holidays. So, when I came back, I promptly reported the issue on the 26th to the Hotspot where I bought the phone. I showed the pictures to the man I bought the phone from. The dot was not on the screen when I showed the phone at Hotspot.

The dot came back on the 27th of September evening. So, I immediately took my handset back on the 28th morning. The man in the shop said, he will ask for a replacement from Samsung.

He said he will report back on the 29th, which he didn’t. I went back on the 29th evening, 30th of September morning and the 1st of October, 2012 evening to this man. He’s dodging the issue.

I had also been to the Samsung Service Center on the 30th only to hear that I must have come within 4 days of purchase for a replacement. Besides, the lady at Samsung Service Center also informed the Hotspot representative, as to why he failed to inform us of the 4-day replacement policy of Samsung’s to us?

SO, I REALIZE HOTSPOT HAS GIVEN ME A DEFECTIVE PHONE RIGHT ON DAY 1 AND DIDN'T INFORM ME OF THE REPLACEMENT POLICY OF SAMSUNG’S EITHER. HOTSPOT DOESN’T SEEM TO BE KEEN ON TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR ITS LAPSES. AMIT YADAV FROM HOTSPOT IS NOT A PROFESSIONAL.

SAMSUNG SERVICE CENTER DOESN'T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS REPLACEMENT EITHER. Now, why must I go in for a FREE service of a screen replacement when I was given a defective phone right from day 1 and had been made to go through all these harassment? Had I used the phone for a month without any hassles and I encountered any trouble, I can go for a replacement of a part of a handset, but when I am given a defective set and not even informed about the policy regulations, I feel I am being cheated. The phone cost me Rs. 26,500/- and why must I buy an expensive AND defective phone?

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO IN THIS REGARD? I CANNOT FIND A HOTSPOT CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER EITHER OVER THE INTERNET. IF ANY OF YOU KNOW, KINDLY LET ME KNOW.

                                    Hi All,

I am writing this to share with you all the M/s Samsung way of systematic fooling of customers.

I purchased a Samsung Wave 2 (S-8530) model phone in last year 2011 September. The phone was working good for 2months and then suddenly it started giving trouble in mic then I got it changed after a weeks time. Then it started giving trouble on the call taking hard key. Then it started in sensitive in the left side of the touch screen. Then the total display / touch screen failed.

Now that M/s Samsung is demanding money for replacement of the failed parts as the phone is just crossed warranty.

I just wanted to know is there a system to hold the company responsible for the reliability of the product and ask them why they stopped the product in market in a short time? and what are the complaints received so far for this product and with in warranty and post warranty, What is the cost of spare parts and their failure rate etc.,

Regarding the above I had the following mail communications with them.:
                                    //

                                    Dear M/s Samsung & Team,

Ref : The Mobile Shop Bill # ******* dt 2Sep2011
                                    Phone Sl Number : ***********
                                    IMEI Nr. ******************

This is _____________ here writing to bring to your kind attention of a problem I am facing w.r.to a new Wave 2 phone I purchased (with proper bill and from an authorised dealer) on 02Sep2012.

I was anticipating to be a happy customer of Samsung using this phone at least for a 4-5 years of time as I invested a good amount of Rs. 16,100 at that time on this phone.

But unfortunately I ended up having to get satisfied with some frequent hanging and auto switch off and on instances. Yet I was going on with the phone.
Then one fine day I got the mic not working and with the office schedules I could not reach to a service center during their working hours of 10am - 6pm and after a 10 days time I got it serviced.

Again for 4-5 months it was going but still with the left side call taking button non working condition. I was going on using still.

Now that the phone started giving me trouble in touch screen touches and erratic behaviors some time. As usual I was going on. Then the left side of the screen has become insensitive.

And then on a fine morning in the end of August 2012 it stopped working on the display and being a touch screen phone I was completely rendered helpless but to use an alternate phone for urgency and held in work.

I would also like to mention that the phone was with single person usage with a very normal air conditioned environment and all along there was not any heavy fall or scratch / damage / crack etc.

I took the phone to service center (******* - Samsung Service Center - Location ****** - Jamshedpur - India) and wanted to check what happened on 10th Sep 2012 around 5.50pm

They told me to come on another day as the working hours is going t get closed by 6PM and servers will be down afterwards.

Again with managing the office hours I could go only on 15th Sep 2012.

Immediately they said the touch screen has gone bad and needs to be replaced along with LCD display unit as this model comes integral. Which will cost me ~INR 7800+ Taxes. This is a huge amount for me compared with the new phone purchase price of INR 16,00 and that too only an year ago. I also requested them to check if the software needs upgrade and they carried out the same for a charge of Rs. 280. Eventually I also lost all the contact details and photos on the phone.

In this context I would like to request you to look into the matter as a special case and provide resolution with out any additional cost implications so that it fosters my willingness to go with Samsung products in the times to come as well. I would be happy to assist Samsung if this could be any help to you to conduct any technical study on the problem case.

                                    Awaiting for your positive response.

                                    Thanks & Regards,

I would like to confirm that I did not receive any calls from M/s Samsung during the past 2 days. Except for a missed call (got cut within short time) from +91 [protected] and could not call back as the number is saying calling back not allowed. I attended or replied all other calls.

Meanwhile I also tried your live chat mode but I cam to know it is available only during the week days between 10am to 6pm.

                                    Dear M/s Samsung & Team,

This is __________ here writing in response to your return mail to my earlier mail dt 15th Sep 2012 . and ref your complaint No: 8******58. And your service center Claim No Ref : 4********2 dt 21/Sep/2012.

Further to my reporting and your reply on the above case, I have been contacted by your team from Delhi and they requested me to take the phone to the service center again from Tuesday last as Monday was a holiday here in my town on account of Viswakarma puja. And subsequently I was able take the phone to your service center on Friday (21Sep2012) due to the nation wide bandh on 20thSep2012. Accordingly the same was informed to your service center personnel.

If you can notice during the interactions, I have asked your service team as well what kind of a solution is being offered. They again requested me to submit the phone to service center and it will be taken care.

While I took off from my work schedule between 1.30PM to 4.30PM and traveled 7+7 KMs and met the service center reps, they spoke to some of the Samsung people over phone and prepared a claim sheet asking me to agree to pay Rs. 4483.36 for this repair. This is something surprising to me.

Please note that I have already visited 3 times in person to your service center regarding this problem.

Alternatively, they proposed me for a refund amount for the phone which will be equivalent of 60% of the initial value. Sorry to say but this is nothing but ridiculous to me.

From the start of the interactions itself, my observation was M/s Samsung office was indicating me that of any decision, solution is in the purview of Service center (or) regional head which I am not able to understand. If service center are empowered to take this decision why it was not communicated to me earlier or why I should come to Samsung head office (CEO cell).

I see that whatever the decision is to be taken in this regards to be taken by M/s Samsung head office (CEO Cell) based on the merit of the case and instructed to the service center accordingly.

Hence I would like to request you to check and let me know of the resolution of this issue at the earliest.

                                    Thanks & Regards,

I bought 40inch LED TV on line with invoice No 107040 dated 19.10.11 from Easy Global Services, FARIDABAD. Th panel of the TV has gone bad and needs replacement. The international warranty card was not sent to me by Easy Global and samsung wants it for replacement. The invoice speaks about 1 year warranty and even the carton carries the one year warranty applicable for India. I fail to understand Samsung's commitment to the customers when its products are being genuinely sold in India by online sellers. Washing hands off by saying that warranty card is not there is not going to help and will be losing customers confidence over a period of time. The reference No. of complaint with samsung is [protected] dated 06.09.12. Samsung does not have courage even to talk to the customer directly and makes the dealers converse for the complaint. And the dealer informs that the replacement may not be possible. Can't this be explained by the Samsung directly? What bothers them to do so? not undestandable. Enough explanation/chance should be given to customer for convincing that what Samsung says is correct.

Samsung — Replacement of TV/ BACK PANEL

                                      Dear Regional Manager,
                                      SAMSUNG Flat TV Department.

                                      Sub: Replacement of TV.

I have bought Samsung TV Model of 21Z57.Serial No 1963 , Bill no 038.. in 07/06/09 from pravas dis from VASAI RAOD (WEST).Since it was installed back side panel had broken due to assemble problem. We have complained about the same to the dealer and one of the executive had visited from service centre and confirmed to replace the new panel. Its been more than month now that we have been calling Customer care and following up with dealer[protected] / satish name of his mobile no of [protected].
I am very over-enthusiastic to Samsung product, and in my home more than 80% home products belongs to Samsung.

I have called so many times, but there is no proper response, after such wonder ful experience I had determined , i will not buy any Samsung product, it was the first experience, I have been mentally harassed by dealer and customer care.

I would request you to kindly replace my Samsung tv or else I have to go Consumer Court for complaning about the same.

                                      Thanks & Regards,

I have also faced same situation, the TV is still with them. This has happened when I was changing songs from USB, they say the TV panel gone, first they said the mother board gone, second time they said power board gone, and now they say it is panel gone, Samsung is unfair, which I did not expect. I am still fitting, let me know if I can go the the cunsumer court. Shanti Kumar chiluka, Hyderabad [protected]
                                      Dear Davinder Deep Singh,

I onceagain request you and your management to review my claim critically and em pathetically and also from customer point of view. In fact this is the case for your research.

This is honest confession not for the sake of complaining or getting repaired for small amount. I am a valued customer having all Samsung products as mentioned before. And I am knowledgeable in electronics and software.

I strongly feel that this essentially manufacture fault, as TV panel cannot go bad because of changing of songs using USB.

Further more your service engineers have taken me for a ride as they first said one mother board and next time second power board and lastly the panel. Further, service engineer replacing a used board, dusty and twisted and yet challenging and asking me to prove that it is not new. When such a blatant thing goes in Samsung service and yet you are encouraging, how can I believe that they did not spoil the panel, while it was functioning nicely before it was taken to service centre and I being punished, just because I complained. This is suspicious.

I did not expect this from Samsung.

I hope you think from my point of view.

I request you and the management to view it empathetically and settle amicably, I am ready to pay for the service and some cost.

                                      An early action is requested.

                                      Best Regards,

Title : Suspicious and adamant approach of Hyderabad service centre

                                      Dear Vice President,
                                      Samsung Customer Support

Subject: LED TV UA46D6600MXL, Dated[protected] Malfunction- Request arrange to get rectified.
Reference No: [protected] Dated[protected] Mobile No [protected] )

In continuation of my earlier mail, I onceagain put forward my case; I am Senior Scientist of Atomic Energy, a valued customer of Samsung products, purchased number of things, like LED TV, Fridge, Mobile, SPLIT ACs, Music Systems etc. from Byas Samsung authorised Dealer, Himayathnagar, Hyderabad.

Let me review the whole thing; My TV set on 1st april, gone bad, While I was flipping my songs through USB hard disc, it functioned very well until while changing one song, the picture started flickering Smart TV and blank and Smart TV and blank. I disconnected the power, USB, and Cable etc, and reconnected, but in Vain, so I called the service support. The support engineer came next day and said the board has gone, we need to replace, despite saying that it should be a malfunction of software or some thing simple, but he said the boards are not in stock it has to come from delhi. After two days he came back with twisted, used board to replace, I said it is not acceptable as it is used one/ refurbished, he argued saying that it is new and please prove if it is not new, despite this he checked, and to the system behaved same way, then he talked to service centre and he said, now the power board has gone, we need to replace that, and on 6th he called me that we will check the TV in our centre, either you bring it here or pay Rs 400 for transportation.

Then I find that something is wrong with the whole approach and Mailed you on 8th april, to which Ms. Neetu Singh patiently herd my case and she arranged a conference call and assured to get get it fixed. But to my surprise, the service engineer communicates that the two boards are OK now the TV panel is gone, it would cost more than Rs 30000. Considering the sequence of events happened and the approach/ attitude of the service is suspicious. I think problem is simple and panel was working, and now when they are changing used/ refurbished card infront of me and yet justifying its being new, then changing that other card has gone and now they say TV panel gone. This is a suspicious and foul game.

I am a valued customer and being a Scientist I know hardware and software, I consider that just flipping through songs can spoil the TV panel is not understandable, and if it were to happen by my fault I am ready to pay for it. If service charges are there I am ready to pay for it as it is out of warranty, but costing for panel is unfair.

I honestly request you to see the whole sequence of events happened and help me in resolving and arrange to fix my TV, I am ready for service charges etc.

I am looking forward for your kind consideration.

                                      Best Regards,

                                        Respected Sir,

Myself Diganta Guhathakurta from Birati,Kolkata-51.I have purchased a Samsung Galaxy Y phone(IEMI[protected]) from the shop SHIPRA INFOTECH(60,62 Angana Market,490,M.B Road,Birati,Kolkata-51) which is near by my home on 9/11/2011 against rs.7200.But from the very beginning of the date of purchase i am facing the problem just same as a phone used of 3 years or more. And now my phone is almost a useless one without voiding even guarantee period.

I have visited SAMSUNG CUSTOMER CARE(272/2,Dumdum Cossipore Road,Kolkata-700030,Phone number-[protected] and email address is support.[protected]@samsung.com) as per norms on 24.09.2012.I have informed them about that problem.I don't know what did the do,but on that time after their repairing the phone was ok just for 4 days, but after returned back with my phone today on 24.09.2012 the same problem and some more problems occurred. They have unnecessarily asked me to change my memory card.So i have replaced my old memory card and purchased new one for rs.250/-,,though i knew that my old memory card, which was given with my handset during purchase was ok,,because i placed my old memory card in another phone before going to SAMSUNG CUSTOMER CARE.It was quiet ok. But as there proposal i have changed my memory card for rs.250/-.But once again from today my phone is not taking start.Presently my handset is now dead.

Sir,I am really helpless. What can i do in this kind of situation. My phone is really essential to me.please help me out for surviving from the forgery of the said mobile shop.and Samsung customer care. Please save me from this fraud mobile shop SHIPRA INFOTECH(60,62 Angana Market,490,M.B Road,Birati,Kolkata-51) as well as SAMSUNG CUSTOMER CARE(272/2,Dumdum Cossipore Road,Kolkata-700030,Phone number-[protected] and email address is support.[protected]@samsung.com).
