Hello,

I had a very bad experience with Dawar's Open world shop in the MGF plaza mall in gurgaon. This is specifically with their SAMSUNG shop, though I have read of complains from other people for their SONY shop in the same mall.

I will rate these guys -5 in customer service, honesty and providing new products according to the follwoing scale (5,4,3,2,1,0,-1,-2,-3,-4,-5). their business model seems to be to buy defective products at cheaper price and then sell them at the market rate to ignorant customers.

I purchased a Samsung LCD Tv and a Samsung washing machine form them on 4 july. The TV was delivered on 5 july and the demo guy came on 6th. All this when I was assured it will be delivered on 4th itself as I had called the DTH guys for installation on the same day. But this is nothing compared ot what was about to come. They sent me a demo TV unit which had clear marks in the back where the TV is hung form the wall. The packet which contains the wires and remote was also torn. there were no battery for the remote and an accessory was missing. The dawar people flatly refused to accept it is a demo unit. I registered a complaint with Samsung and they sent their engineer who confimred it was a demo unit. This made Dawar relent and agreed to change the unit.

On 4th July I had also purchased a SAMSUNG washing machine. the next day I got a call the machine I purchased was not in stock and they will tell me when i can get it. There was no followup from them. after 3-4 days I called again to check and they said this model will not come in a month or more and hence asked me to change my choice. I asked them to refund me the amount as i will go and purchase LG machine. They said it is not possible!!!!!!!!
I changed the model and bought something I didnt want to buy. They delivered this and again the machine delivered was defective. There are air bubbles in the lamination in front which spoils the look completely and also the machine is dented in the back. I called and even visited the Dawar's World. The sotre keeper was very rude. His name is Raju Kumar. He said he has no authority to replace the unit and it cant be replaced. He refused to give me the owner's number who has the authority to change this. I again registered a complaint with SAMSUNG who promptly sent an engineer to inspect and he agreed the machine should be replaced. Its more than 3 WEEKS now since i purchased the macine and still cant use it.

Samsung is also sleeping on this and it seems they are helpless in front of their own dealer. This is the sorry state of a company which plans to be the largest home appliances seller in this country. Pathetic. Everyone please buy LG products. The products are all same these days and its only the customer service which matters.


I am not sure whether Mr Dawar is a party to this and is aware of how his store is being run. If he is, it's a very sad thing and I hope the consumer's will boycott this store and eventually force these people to either shut down or mend their ways. India is a leading market for SAMSUNG and other brands. This is the time we consumers realize our power and show these organizations that we expect the same service which they deliver in USA or Europe. We are not pushovers that they can get away with our hard earned money by dumping stuff and offering poor services.

I demand the interest of the amount paid for 15 days and compensation for inconvenience and mental harrasment suffered due to Dawar's Open world. I also demand payment for holding the inventory for Dawar's world for so many days.

    Sir,

    I bought this Mobile on 22nd May 2010. From the day I bought this mobile I have saved my contacts many time but after few days when I check, many contacts disappear automatically, which is very disappointing. I bought this mobile to make my work easy.. but it is making my work cumbersome. I am very disappointed with the performce of this mobile. I am feeling cheated. Please solve my problem. Thanks.

      I am working in North Eastern Hill University,Shillong. In 2004 I had purchased one mobile hand set of SAMSUNG company model X-600 from Gauhati. Till now I was using this set with proud and satifaction. I regrett to inform you that Now I am not getting its battery neither in Shillong nor in Gauhati city which is the nearest to me.
      I am lost,what to do after purchasing such a costly hand set.

        Vertical Yellow Line on the TFT. Dealer assured 3 year on site warranty. Complaint lodged on 24/06/2010. Engineer visited my residence and confirmed the panel will be replaced within a weeks time but there after no improvement and none of the seniors are willing to talk to me even. When CSC is called they give false assurance of resolving the issue. Very poor responce from the SC of Alapuzha about resolving the issue.

        Kindly resolve the above issue immediatley.

          My 50" plasma is not working from 21st June 2010 and complaint @ Customer care was lodged on 22/6/2010. Nothing has been done so far with regards to the complaint. Samsung's Chandigarh service center is not helping me getting my plasma repaired/replaced. I have been following the service center and their manager Mr. Amarjit Rainu ([protected]) from last 25 days but with no use. The service is so pathetic (even this word seems to be very tiny) that i just cannot write in the public media (but they deserve that only). Even after sending mails at official web portal and at support.[protected]@samsung.com, nothing has happened.

          If any person can help me in this regard, kindly help.

            I request kindly do the needful at earliest

              I am from chennai , bought a samsung metro series S3500 sliding one year back and one month back it's display is not due to damaged connection strip.I went samsung service centre DIGITAL WAVE in Mylapore Chennai ,they told me connection strip is out of stock from then onwards when ever i call they are extending the time of stock arrival please consider my complaint immediatly how will you be able to run a company with out giving service to your company.

                  Recently MTS providd me this dual sim (GSM/CDMA) mobile. But as soon as I keep CDMA network on default, the call is disconncted on held up. I have complained to MTS and they have also talked to samsung, but problem still persists. kindly help

                  Dear sir,

                  I am ABUBAKAR my mo.[protected]. I was getting reliance CDMA conneton before 6 month. I am very confused because of reliance is not provided GPRS facilities, I am continues user of GPRS.
                  I want this facilities, but give me answer by customer care this is not possible. Please solved my problem.

                  vodophone IDD card — no sms service

                  My son voisiting India signed up for the above service..my complaint is that while the SMS he sends me is delivered to me in Malaysia but each time i send him an sms it stays pending and does not get delivered...what seems to be the problem?Please reply ASAP.

                  Samsung Mobile — gsm not working

                  gave my samsung phone in january with a compliant of gsm card slot not working so gave it to samsung service centre and after twenty five days he returned it to me and trusting that person i didnt check the phone only because of the brand samsung when i went home i checked my phone the phone was not repaired and had the same problem again the next day i went there and i scremed at that person he tells me the board is not ready in the company so u leave the phone i will call u in 10 days u can come and collect it, two months from that date have not received my phone and have lost all faith in samsung and still he says yet to receive the board.
                  whats the use of buying branded mobiles where the company keeps the phone during the guarantee period 3 months the amount we pay is waste. nothing like nokia their service is upto the mark their commitments are kept, but samsung is proving to be a third class company by only showing wrong advertisement on television nd foolong customers

                    I made a complain (Ref [protected]) on June 15, 2010. The service engineers visited my residence and told me the parts required for TV repair were not available and they will have to request parts from the HO. After that they visted once more and told me to produce the purchase receipt for a TV that was bought around December 2005 for about Rs 67000/- which I have not cared to save given that the warranty is long past.
                    Since then I have called up their call centre repeatedly and spoken to Kiran ( a very rude servce manager) and Thyanu requesting for names of their senior customer service personnel to allow me to talk to them. I have been refused names of any senior person and they keep telling me to call their call centre which is a non starter to begin with.
                    Is it too much for a consumer to expect paid service for a product that cost Rs 67000/- and has failed within less than 5 years?

                      I have purchased a touch screen mobile phone samsung start (GTS5233W), however the touch screen has stopped working within 6 months of purchase.
                      I contacted the Samsung Service Center and they cant guide the customers correctly.When I visited the Samsung service center , they are unable to fix it as they dont have available parts for the same.
                      Its been 3 weeks , i am unable to use the phone and the samsung service centers are just pathetic.

                      Samsung's service is the worst.

                        I had purchased one slider mobile set model No: F270 on[protected] from dealer "Walky Talky" in Kalimati Road, Sakchi, Jamshedpur.
                        Soon after purchase it started malfuctioning and system was hanging, speaker malfunctioning and set getting off itself.
                        Set was taken to local service centre and problem was explained. They attended the problem and even then set did not work satisfactorily.Three times set was taken to service centre and problem could not be rectified. Set is still in the service centre.

                        Samsung — phone frequently hanging

                        I had purchased a Samsung Corby cell phone on[protected] through Sangeeta, Sampige road Malleswaram, Bangalore. The cell phone within 10 days started hanging and when I approached the dealer he told me to get the software updated from Samsung service center in Rajajinagar, Bangalore. Even after getting it upgraded the cell phone had the same problem and when the service center was approached they told that the touchpad screen needs to be replaced. Even now the phone hangs now and then which I cannot rely on the phone now. I doubt about your technology in touch screen model or the hardware/software of my cell and I am not satisfied with the cell phone of your company. I request you to kindly replace my faulty cell phone with new ones or with a different model or have the refund made. I am now forced to keep another cell phone as a standby, as the cell phone of your company doesn’t seem to be reliable.Kindly respond to this mail on the [protected]@gmail.com or [protected]@vsnl.net.

                          I bought a Samsung Mobile Omnia Pro-II Model: GT B_7610. On its sale this mobile in its pack is though supplied with OS WM 6.1 but as per its specifications OS of the mobile is upgradable to WM 6.5. I have called the helpline of the manufacturer more than 3 dozen times as well as posted my request and complaint on their website several times but to no avail. As for the complaints on web the host does not give any log no of the complaint and there is no way to track ones complaint on the website of the host company. I feel like taking this matter to consumer forum against the company. Can this forum help in the matter.

                            I have bought a SAMSUNG 3310 phone and itÅ› mother board failed in 2 month and I send it t service center of SAMSUNG and they are saying 1days 2 days 7 days 10 days but 30 days are over but they are not giving by set, I told them to give back my set so I can make service from other center, but they are not giving my set back.

                              1) Since we had decided to buy a Microwave as we had invited Guest on Sunday and had made all arrangements for giving them a treat with Microwave cooked food we bought the microwave on Saturday itself i.e. on 03/07/2010 as Anandamela Salesman told us that if we pay by Cash the product will be delivered the next day and the demo will also be given the same day of the product delivery but if we pay by Cheque the same process will take place at least 3 days for the chqeue to be cleared and the microwave will be only delivered thereafter.

                              2) To our disappointment the Microwave oven was not only delivered very late on Sunday but neither the demo could take place as promised by Anandamela inspite of many phone calls to them.

                              3) When we called up Anandamela to know the reason why they did not send the technician as they promised , they denied the fact that they had committed that the technician will give us the demo the very next day. We even clarified the position from them that next Monday being a Bundh could it be possible for the Demo on Sunday itself. Only upon their assurance that I purchased the Microwave paying by Cash- or else I would have preferred to pay by cheque and the product would have reached me on Tuesday or so and the demo would have followed on Wednesday.

                              4) What surprised me was that the Anandamela people who delivered the Microwave oven to my residence were in a hurry to leave as soon as they dumped the product in my house. Never gave me a chance to open the box and check what it contained. When I asked those people that want you open the box and show me whether you have delivered what I purchased they said the person who will come for demo will do the needful.

                              I felt quite suspicious about the delivery man’s behavior so I was compelled to open the Box to find out whether the Item delivered was exactly what I had ordered. To my dismay I was shocked to notice the following:-

                              1) The door of the Microwave oven was broken.
                              2) There was no glass plate inside the box.
                              3) No guarantee/warrantee card inside the box.

                              We tried calling Anandamela but there was no response from them.

                              5) In between I had fallen very ill and was on strong antibiotic for viral fever . So I could not take up the matter.
                              You being an organization of repute I sincerely hope that I would be benevolent enough to treat a customer graceful and arrange to replace the Microwave oven soon.

                              Samsung — defective microwave

                              i had bought a samsung microwave on 15 august 2008.
                              ceramic paint coating in interior was chipped.
                              company service engineer was called.
                              he categorized it as manufacturing defect.
                              complaint lodged against bp no[protected].
                              3 reminders forwarded, no response or call.

                                Dear Sir,

                                We bought a Sansung Refrigerator in 2005. While under warranty we reported to them that the refrigerator gets too hot on the sides (their claim is that it gets warm and there is a difference between warm & hot). Their service guy (Kiran Rana) without checking told us it is not a problem. Then we reported a problem with freezer door. Even after paying service charge, Kiran Rana told us we should go to the store, buy a new one and put it on ourselves. After that on 21/7/2010 we reported that there was smell of gas and some kind of burning smell from the refrigerator. We also told them not to send Kiran Rana. Still they sent Kiran Rana who refused to accept that there was gas smell or burning smell because we believe that this is part of the original problem reported under warranty and they didn't want to replace it under warranty.

                                We therefore request that the full price that we paid for the refrigerator (Rs 9500) MUST be refunded and be compensated for deliberate bad service and inconvenience leading to unnecessary stress. We believe such punishment will only prevent such unethical practices in future.

                                  I bought this mobile 2 months back and all of a sudden I found that I am unable to access the messages.
                                  I bought my samsung corby pro nearly two months back, it started hanging and I cant access my messgaes..I tried to go to messgaes...initialising is being displayed..I dont understand how worse is the software in this..
                                  i also havin d same problem..
                                  now i m also facing same problem in my handset...can anyone tell me how can i resovle it?
                                  m also facing same problem...jst two months back i have purchased ds cellphone...nd now cant access message and its hanging all d time...trying to open message...bt is saying intilalising all d time...how to resolve...any suggestions
                                  Iam also facing the same problem with my handset.Did anyone find any solution
                                  Same here.. Also touch screen has slowed down like hell..
                                  mine too.. though the trick doesn't work for me, some suggest to insert your SIM to a diiferent mobile and delete any Broken message sitting in you SIM, specifically from IRCTC.

                                    Dear Samsung,

                                    I have purchased a Samsung refrigerator Model: (RT24M 0577) RT24BDMA1/ XTL (model number not reflecting in your present series) by one of your reputed authorised dealer at Mayur Vihar i.e., Neha Electronics on 23.06.2010. The said refrigerator was delivered at my residence on 24.06.2010 and started its operation as per your instructions manual and as per the advice of dealer’s executive. Unfortunately, since the day of purchase the said refrigerator is giving improper cooling and discharge huge amount of water which get scatter on the floor. For this malfunction I have several times lodged complaint at your customer complaint number – 30308282 but unfortunately at every occasion your on-line technical support executives instead of visiting in-person for inspection start giving instructions to resolve the complaint on phone which causes huge mental agony and harassment. I have purchased this product because of your company reputation in consumer goods and after sales service. I also spoke to your authorised dealer about the same malfunction and he confirmed that the product has manufacturing defect and adviced to approach the company for replacement since he can’t address my grievance. Since the model number (printed on refrigerator) is not reflecting in your list of current series I fear that your authorised dealer has sold me old model.

                                    It is submitted that I am suffering hardships since the day of purchase of refrigerator as the same is working abnormally and having serious manufacturing defects and further you have completely failed to address the manufacturing defects in your product. Therefore, you are requested to either replace the said defective refrigerator with any other present model or refund the present price of the refrigerator immediately.

                                      I had bought a samsung mobile on B3410 on 13/01/2010. The phone used to get switched off on it's own.
                                      Then i visited the samsung service center BIR ELECTRONICS, G.S ROAD, CHRISTIANBASTI, GHY-5.
                                      The representative over there said that it would take two days for repairing the mobile.
                                      After two days i went there and collected my mobile. After using my mobile for two hours, the problem continues.
                                      when i went back again to the service centre the service representative name ARIF was quite arrogant in talking with me...
                                      He didn't have any manners to talk.. Then when i asked when is my mobile going to be repaired, he was quite rude towards me. i can never tolerate this kind o[censored]ncivilised behaviour of a customer care person.
                                      I want my mobile to be repaired as soon as possible and i want that some actions should be taken against the customer support representative as i earlier mentioned

                                        I purchased samsung SGH 3310 METRO mobile on[protected] and it has some speaker(Ear Piece) problem and I lodged the complaint on 06 july at service centre of samsung on address-1st floor plot No.221,Besariya complex Behind Jyoti shopping complex Zone-1 MP Nagar Bhopal but they are saying that it has some mother board problem and which is unavailable with them.From the last 15- days they are repeating the same problem ie motherboard is unavailable.This is very disappointing from a brand like Samsung to have such poor and careless service.Also employees are not coperating and center seems like a frish market with no ornisation.Also it made me to Re-think about this brand and services what u are commiting in future also.I would you to improve your overall services as it will affect ur brandname in this scenario of competion among loads of brands dealing in same field.I dont think so that 15 days are sufficient solve such kind of problem.And Please guide me what to do.

                                        I purchased samsung B3313 mobile on[protected] and it has some memary card not show problem and I lodged the first complaint on 06 /07/10 at service centre of samsung on address-Millennium Services A-3&4, Devi place, old delhi road prem nagar opp. Raj Cinema, Gurgaon but they are saying that it has some mother board problem .
