I bought my skoda rapid on 29/03/2017, so it been just an year my battery died, i was stuck on a highway for a couple of hours as road side assistance was gonna take 3 hours i fixed my car with a local mechanic,. Then i come back to baroda and give my car for battery replacement in warranty at skoda workshop, i was very very disatisfied with the service, again road side assitance was a problem. I had booked a jump start from road side assistance for the next day at 9.30 am and they arrived at 10.30 am. Then in the workshop dint really get a good response, i had to call every two hours for the status, finally at 5pm i called and they said the car is ready for pick up, i go at 6 still they took 40 mins to give me the car.
And during my first service my brake disc was changed stating that keep that old disc with you, it can be used other time, my question here is if it can be used later, why did u replace it???

While buyin skoda 100s of people told me dont buy skoda for maintainence issues, i was assured buy the car dealer that now there are no issues of maintainence. And here i am complaining about the same in just 9 months.

This is serious issues and it needs to be fixed really soon.

    skoda rapid - fuel injector issue

    I have been contacted by skoda service center and asked to replace fuel pressure pump, fuel filter and cleaning of common rail fuel system for a total cost of more than inr 110, 000. One of the fuel injectors is also to be replaced as per the recommendation. The complete cost of the repairs in the similar discussion were estimated at inr 175, 000 inclusive...

    My vehicle is skoda rapid purchased from s7cars salem during september 2017. From the purchase time i noticed deep scoring in both front discs. Icomplaint to salem service centre. They are saying it is normal. But i have checked skoda rapid from 2013 vehicles to the present models about 100vehicles. I found only uniform scoring in the discs. Only my car discs showing deep scoring which is not usual. I hope that is due to disc batch production faults. Kindly make necessary arrangements to change my car's both discs from different batch of manufacture. My car first service is due ina few days.

      I bought car last week. And from the same day 1) cabin light not working. Another 2) a. C. Fan not working. 3) headlights deeper automaticaly gets down.
      Its too disappointing feeling on the same day of purchase and still no proper issue resolvance by company.
      If these are the cars they provide when they sell then what could we expect for after sales service in future. I highly recommend all not to buy skoda cars for future genuinely if you no want loss in future.

        Hello sir, this write up is regarding my skoda rapid clutch hardness problem, which is 1year and 1month old. From the day one my car clutch was hard.. So i thought it is common in diesel car.. Because i came from maruti swift petrol.. But day by day it got worse..         My company has spent rs 1, 38, 000 over a period of 5 months for a recurring problem in the car. Despite this, the problem persists.
        Is the dealer experimenting at my cost or is he willfully taking advantage of me?
        Car was good for the first 2 years. Thereafter the collective amount given to the dealer over 5 years would buy me a small car in india!

          Symptom - pick up drop
          Warning - glow plug on dash
          Diagonosis - fuel injector failure on cylinder 1
          Action - injector [protected]@59, 000 km

          Query technically the injector can be repaired and is being done at bosh siemens kind of outlets for electrical and mechanical failure by replacing solenoid or cleaning deposits due to fule buildup, rust, corrosion. Why are skoda authorized services not doing or recommending the same

            Hello,

            Last month i had done the service of my car, skoda superb registration number py01 cp 0567, in shivaji nagar workshop (Viraaj skoda, pune)

            Firstly i faced an issue of low battery in the next week of the service. I replaced the battery, as dey had not checked it in the service.

            Secondly the main issue is the mechanics in the workshop dint fit the oil chamber cap as i faced the issue of oil leakage and i had to call for roadside assistance

            The service advisor who served me was manu.
            Here is the attached service bill copy.

            Respond to this as soon as possible. Seeking a valid reason for watever i m facing now.

              Dear concern,

              I would like to mention the harrowing times i am currently going through due to pathetic after sales service of my skoda superb car no – rj 14 yc 0084.
              On dated 05/12/17, car was hit by a tractor due to which right side rear view mirror was broken. On the same day information was given insurance department of saga automotive workshop loacted in sitapura, jaipur. They inspected & said
              • the whole assembly of side mirror need to be replaced and will be covered in insurance and as the part is not available in their stock, so they need to order the part.
              • after two days on dated 7/12/17 when i enquired about the part status they said we have placed the order of the part and as soon as we will receive order, we will change your part on same day.
              Now today is 13/01/18, it’s been 40 days now, from 5 dec 17 to 13 jan 2018 part is not delivered to workshop. We are in continues touch with saga skoda workshop, whenever we call them, they have fix reply that your car part is under order and most probably it will come on saturday. I don’t understand how many more saturday will be taken by your esteem organization in delivering one side mirror complete assembly. Being customer of your higher end product superb, i don’t expect this type of after sales service of german brand in india
              I want your concern authorities to take immediate action regarding the problem i am going through. Kindly coordinate with your dealership to get the needful done accordingly as earliest as possible and replace the broken mirror asap.

                The car was handed over to gurudev motors, ambattur, chennai on 26th december 2017 with coolant issue. It was diagnosed almost 10 days later and i was informed that its a thermostat issue and it would cost 22000 after considering the free replacement as the vehicle is under extended warranty. I was asked to send the approval which was sent immediately.

                Day by day i am being told that the vehicle would be delivered the following day, work is in progress, etc. I also wonder how to replace a thermostat it takes weeks. Is it how the service centre works? Does not the service centre have adequate technology nor workforce to handle the issue.

                I had told them that i wanted to go out of station on 13 jan 2018; there has been no consideration at all for customers request. Work is being done at their own pace and at their own whims and fancies.

                Unfortunately in chennai buyers of skoda are being put up with no other option but to come only to gurudev motors. I had a similar bad experience in september 2017 also.. After a very long struggle of a month only the vehicle was delivered after a repair issue.

                Gurudev motors service makes me to regret for having chosen skoda

                I hope some senior officer looks into this issue and handover the car for me to travel out of town on saturday afternoon..

                Just thought of owning a skoda rapid 1.5 TDI Ambition 2018 Model. But after seeing such pathetic after sales service I have changed my mind.

                Also there should be an written confirmation from customer to his/her satisfaction level to close this complaint, but skoda India had just given a basic reply to

                customer complaint and closed the complaint in this consumer portal.

                No peace of mind I guess after purchasing Skoda!

                  Dear sir,

                  I appreciate your kind care and support to my genuine complaint against your surat dealer
                  “ torque automotive pvt ltd” and request you to go through the unprofessional and blind working of your surat dealer workshop which has downgraded the overall image of the world level company like you specially when we the customer has to think twice for our next purchase of skoda brand.in response to my complaint the dealer has concealed the material facts and has conveyed only the partial information to misguide the higher authorities. I want to bring the following facts to show the negligency on the part of your workshop persons.

                  I gave my car gj 05 jf 0024 to your workshop in the first week of june 2017 for the fault of
                  Overheating with engine oil indicator displaying on the screen. After checking they told that they need to change the thermostat and it will take 8-10 days to procure the part since not in stock. They sent my car back to my home with unqualified driver whose careless driving created another problem of showing the warning indicator of epc light which was not appearing on the screen when i handed over my car on first time as may be confirmed from the job card prepared in the workshop.

                  After 8-10 days the thermostat of my car was replaced and i paid the bill of around rs. 35000. Next day when i started my car in the morning and put the ac on, there was a typical noise in the engine. I have to go to workshop again and complained about the noise created only after their repairing on day before. After checking the noise they told me that they need to put one more part which is also not available in the stock and will take again 8-10 days to receive after order. I had to wait again for 8-10 days and they called me that part has arrived and the car can be sent for repairing. The height o[censored]nexperienced working is that the noise did not stop even after placing that part and they told me that they have removed that part again and they will not be charging for this trouble sum repairing.

                  When they were unable to find out the exact reason of noise they told me that now they need to replace the ac compressor perhaps that will stop the noise. I just found that they were test checking to stop the typical noise and were not sure about the exact reason. I pointed out that this noise has been created only after your repairing and this is not fair on your part to repair for one problem and other irrelevant problem occurs. More over ac compressor was in good condition for the last four years until the car was sent for repairing and has no relation with the present repairing.

                  That time i was busy for my travel to usa, i preferred to keep the things pending and now i have taken it up again with a lot of remembrance of that pain i experienced in the month of june that your unqualified workshop persons delivered to me. The monopoly of your dealership in surat and gujarat has always pressurised us to compromise so many instants few of which are described herein below:
                  1. You have to take vehicle loan from our bankers only otherwise you have to pay extra 25000.
                  2. You have to take insurance from us only otherwise we will not give you cashless repairing.
                  3. We are unable to meet the manager even he is in the office since told the receptionist to convey us that he is not available in the office.
                  4. The workshop is very far from the city where no public transportation is available and it is always difficult to visit there.
                  5. We are unable to get the appointment for vehicle service before 20-25 days because of heavy crowd of vehicles is coming to only one dealer in this area of 50 lacs population in surat plus all surrounding villages and semi urban places.

                  Here i wish to point out that i have already paid the bill for original repairing and the problem of noise in the engine is the result of mishandling at the workshop. More over the workshop persons have placed the part on next repairing as explained above, has to be removed since the noise problem was not solved. However now they are asking for replacement of ac compressor which was never the part of previous repairing. The test repairing in the workshop is a question mark on the working of the workshop and i request the company officials to enquire the lapses specially when their customers are being harassed for frequent visit to workshop and payment of heavy repairing cost which also defame the company in the public to doubt that inferior products have been used in this segment of luxurious cars. I want to inform that i am using four wheeler from last 37 years from 1981 and this is my first instance to make a complaint against any dealership.

                  I request you to kindly take an appropriate action to remove the so called noise from my car without any cost to me within 15 days otherwise i shall be constrained to go to consumer protection court.

                    I wish to draw skoda's senior management's attention to the cheating and fraud case done by nawab motors with me and unsympathetic behaviour shown by skoda's customar care managaer in addressing my grievance. Unfortunately my car (Make skoda rapid, bearing reg. No. Up 16 az 8494, met an accident on 17th of aug. 2017. I registered the claim and sent the vehicle to nawab motors (Authorized skoda dealer and workshop).

                    The damaged vehicle was delivered at workshop of nawab motors (Authorized skoda dealer) around 20th august 2017 and engineers generated an estimate to share with insurer (With no intimation to us). This was for repair and amount of around 6.5l was the estimate. After some days we were telephonically informed that we need to pay rs. 1 lakh in advance so that the process can be expedite otherwise since there will be delay from insurer's side and parking charges will be levied till approval to repair is received from insurer.in case the vehicle is repaired, no parking charges would be levied. We initially resisted since our policy is zero dep and for cashless, but the continuous calls from nawab motors, forced us to pay advance amount of rs. 1 lakh.

                    After they received the payment of rs. One lakh from us, i stopped receiving any communication from nawab motors. We were thinking that the repair is in progress and we will get our car back in 3-4 weeks promised time. On completion of 3 weeks, i called up nawab motors to know the delivery date of vehicle as the promised date was nearing, i got a big surprise that the car was not yet even taken inside the workshop to even start working on it. The car was lying parked outside the workshop on road. Next day i rushed to gm of workshop and found the car still lying outside the premise (On the road in front of workshop - do they also own the public road outside the premise and call it as their own parking??)

                    On my showing dissatisfaction and protest they said the engineers working on the car have left nawab motors and now some one new will be assigned this work. I spoke to gm and conveyed the inconvenience, frustration and disappointment it has caused to us. Almost two months have been wasted without even touching the vehicle properly.

                    Now after more than two months of initial estimation (23rd aug is date of first estimate they provided to insurer, the additional estimate was generated on 4th nov - more than two months - that too on my personally going there and asking to do it).

                    Now to my biggest surprise, the supplementary estimate of another around rs. 6.5 lakhs was raised which made the total cost of repair way beyond the insurer's limit for giving approval. Again no communication was made to me and only on my repeated requests and calling them, these estimates were shared with me. This means there was an intentional effort to keep me completely uninformed. There was no additional opening /dismantling of vehicle done to generate the supplementary estimate, the car was just lifted on jack and the condition of engine was evaluated and gear box was assessed by starting the ignition of engine (This they should have done in the first place while generating the initial estimate - why they did not do it is beyond understanding)

                    It was even then not communicated to me that insurer has denied the approval for repair of the vehicle and has informed it will be considered total damaged vehicle since the cost of repair is too high.

                    In fact in between i even asked for paying back my advance money since all approvals from insurer were received for going cash-less repair, but nobody from nawab motors responded to my requests.

                    On 28th nov. 2017, my husband (Dr. Gaurav sharma) went to pick the vehicle, (Even though no communication was still made to us, but fearing that the vehicle is unnecessarily lying there and it may not be worth repair), nawab motors raised a bill of rs. 76700/- (Out of which 59000/- was for parking charges) before they handed the vehicle to my husband.

                    From above, it is very clear that this was a case of cheating done by nawab motors with us and i have full reason to believe that nawab motors knew about the defect from day when they first inspected the vehicle but kept it under cover to charge parking amount from me. This is more evident from the fact that they never informed me of anything even after my repeated calls to them. Had they informed this to me or insurer, a clear decision should have taken and no parking charges would have levied on us.

                    Unfortunately despite informing all this to skoda's customer care manager (Mr. Sooraj - available on[protected], no action from skoda's side is taken on my complaint. When i asked the manager to connect me to some higher authority/ perosn in skoda he has refused to connect me to anyone and committed that he will call me back same day after talking to their area manager but despite the promise, no body has called me or resolved my grievance so far.

                    I again request someone in senior management in skoda to please look at it personally and see how badly your dealers are dealing with skoda's reputation and cheating your customers (We did not buy a nawab motor's car, what we went for was skoda's car) and arrange to refund the entire parking amount nawab motor's has charged from us.

                      Hi, i have bought skoda rapid diesel at model in oct 2015. Recently i am facing issue with car battery which made me complain here.

                      First incident:
                      First problem occurred on 25 oct 2017 when i was wasn't able to start my car. No ignition churning noise, music player and lights were working but i couldn't start my car. I asked for skoda assistance and got the prompt service vehicle in first occurrence. It costed me 1600 for a faulty ignition wire replacement connected to my battery which was really expensive as it was just a connector which he changed.

                      Second incident:
                      But yesterday night 08-01-18 while i was on way to home my car didn't start and signaled of weak battery, i called for assistance and he came and jump start the car and told me to drive at least an hour which i did and reached my home. But today morning same problem occurred and car doesn't start.

                      Conclusion - i hate to say that i feel like skoda gave me a faulty product - skoda rapid diesel automatic transmission

                        I had given skoda fabia for service at service center. I was told it will be delivered within 2 days. They kept delaying and then they said wiring to be changed. They took more than a month to change wiring.
                        After that it was found car was getting to hot. So they said they will sort it out and since then the car is still at service centre. It is almost 5 months now. They give all unsatisfactory answer.

                        They keep telling next week, next week etc and waiting for parts etc.

                        My car HR-17 D 0078 purchased from Sidak Auto Karnal has been sent to dealership five times in last two months. It has five times breakdown on roads and I have to tow it my house. Now I litterlly have a fear to drive the vehicle . Still the vehicle is off ROAD. I have to proceed legally against your company and dealer if no solution is provided.

                          Have skoda rapid car and in month of sepetember 2017 i put
                          My car in torque auto for flooded insurance claim. Heavy
                          Water logged in my car due to flood in vapi. I received
                          Quotation from torque auto (Attached herewith). I told him
                          That plz complete my car in full sense and they complete all
                          Job and delivered vehicle to me on 20th sep and bill of rs.
                          54192/-. Issued (Bill attached) and i have paid full payment
                          And took delivery of vehicle and after one month der is
                          Problem in gear shifting and i took my vehicle to jmd skoda
                          Caz i did all my regular service from jmd (Mr. Vinay
                          Attandent) he told that your gear shifter is not working
                          Properly because of water logged in flood. Sir i told him
                          That i had done all my job related to water logged in at
                          Torque auto but mr. Vinay told gear shifter work has not
                          Done. And he did lubrication work and told that u drive as
                          Now der is no problem but i[censored] face same problem again u
                          Have to replace gear shifter. And yesterday again i m
                          Facing same problem. Sir i had already put my vehicle in
                          Torque auto for approx 20 days for full survey and work den
                          This type of lapses is not expected from skoda educated
                          Mechanical staff. Now sir i put my vehicle on[protected]
                          At your jmd workshop plz give reply what to do and replace
                          My gear shifter without any cost...

                            My vehicle is skoda rapid 2016 model with registration no: ts07ex0317. I had given service on dec 18, 2017 at mahavir auto diagnostics pvt. Ltd. Hyderabad.

                            Problems i mentioned are below
                            1. General service
                            2. Check the clutch and
                            3. Mud flaps

                            I told exclusively to the service center guys that im going on tour and it should be in good condition. After few days on dec 28, 2017 the vehicle broke down suddenly and somehow i took it to skoda service center (Manikandan automobile pvt ltd) in cochin. They told me that the cluch was broken and needs entire replacement and charged me around 17k inr.

                            If this is the service provided by the great skoda service centers then i'm sure ill have to switch to another vendor in coming months. I need proper explanation and justice for the inconvience provided to me. I couldn't plan my tour due to the bad service provided to me, it costed me 17k additional. I will share my experiences with skoda soon.

                              My vehicle met with a minor accident and the front grill of the 2017 edition of skoda rapid is broken along with other damages. It has been three weeks since i left in the service station and it has not been completed till now. After checking multiple times for 3 weeks they are now saying that the front grill is not available at any station in skoda india. Such a pathetic service and planning skoda india has. They have launched a model and there are no spare parts available for that model.

                                My name is himanshu arora. I am from jalandhar, india. I was interested in purchasing a skoda superb l&k and a skoda kodiaq. I inquired about the same from your krishna auto sales dealership in jalandhar, punjab. On 10th november i went to check the car. I was interested in purchasing both petrol cars and asked for the test drive of the same but since the superb petrol was not available and the kodiaq came in diesel variant only, i came back with the quotations of both. Then i asked them to show a petrol variant of the superb, they didn't have the same so i went with them to a nearby city amritsar to inspect the petrol one, as they didn't even have the brochure for the latest version. The same was finalized. It was decided to take delivery of superb and then of kodiaq. When it was the turn to negotiate on prices, i was handed with a new quotation of both. I was told that the initial quotation was wrongly given to me, which is inspite of the fact that it was verified by the sales guy sh. Rupinder and the branch manager sh. Manik.in the initial quotation both the insurance and the kit was given to me free of cost along with the waiver of the logistic charges. But with the new quotation they said that insurance will not be free. Then after many discussions with the md and vp, who are very nice and down to earth people btw, the price of insurance was slashed to a much extent. So, the booking amount was transferred on 27th november of rs. 1 lakhs, as soon as the utr number of this amount was shared with sh. Rupinder, i started getting calls from a person who claimed to be an employee of a bank. He said that sh. Rupinder gave him my number and started giving me interest rates for loans. He kept on calling me multiple times everyday despite the fact that i told him very humbly that i will contact him myself if i needed any loan. Then in about the second week of december another rs. 8 lakhs were transferred. Sh. Rupinder was also pressing me every now and then to clear the payment and then and only then they will arrange the car for pdi and not before.in the mid of december sh. Rupinder called me and told me that if i do not deposit the remaining amount before evening then they will give that car in amritsar to some doctor, i don't recall his name. I told him to do the same as the payment from my side will take another few days as our ca told us to go for auto loan. Then i went out of city for professional and personal commitments. Sh. Rupinder and his loan guy kept on calling and messaging every now and then in the meanwhile. When i came back i inquired about this loan guy and i came to know that he is not from a bank but is running a loan agency. Sh. Rupinder recommended him and not skoda/vw finance as he was getting monetary benefits from this guy. Anyways 2 days ago, sh. Rupinder very rudely said that because of me they have lost 4 of their customers. I told him pretty clearly that i told him to deliver the car to the first person who came with the money as i will always get a new piece. Then he said that he has arranged an october make car for me and the same is reaching with a rapid from the plant. The rapid will be delivered in chandigarh and the superb will reach our city on sunday. He told me to come for pdi on monday and told me to deposit around 50-60% of the amount so that they can raise the invoice. The loan amount of 18 lakhs was released today. I confirmed him the same and he said that the car is in transit and will reach by tomorrow. I called him again in the afternoon to give him the utr number of the amount but he didn't pick up. Then i called the manager sh. Manik to inform about the utr number. But he said that no car as such is coming from the plant and the information provided to me was once again wrong. Sh. Manik called sh. Rupinder while i was on the phone and he admitted of providing wrong information. Now sh. Rupinder is not picking up the phone. As you can clearly see i am getting harassed by the showroom, by the sales guy especially first about the quotation then breaching my privacy and sharing my number with some third party for his monetary benefit, then forcing me to deposit the money and then eventually about the delivery. This whole experience has been pathetic. I would have loved to join the skoda family and be associated with you for years to come. But this whole episode has been just so poor that i guess i will stick to the good old jap cars. Kindly refund me the money along with the bank's interest that will be charged by the bank immediately.

                                  I own a skoda rapid registration number hr26bt7031. The aux cable of my stereo was damaged and i visited the shivaji nagar skoda service centre on 17th november 2017 and asked for schemes on replacement of stereo. They called up there spares team and mr siddharth visited me and told me that the new stereo that i liked costs around rs 42k and would cost me around rs 32k. I stuck a deal with him for rs 30k and went to get it replaced the next day (18th november 2017) where i met their manager mr mithun and he said we have an old stereo bp845 of a customer and they agreed to sell me old sterao and not a new one. Post removing the old stereo from my car, mr mithun said that the stereo will cost me around rs 32k. I wasnt happy however agreed to buy that stereo as mr mithun agreed to get me the warranty card from the blaupunkt for one year. Mr mithun informed me he has already spoken to blaupunkt about it and they have agreed. He also agreed to ensure that the stereo was fitted properly and there would not be any performance issues. Mr mithun took rs 32k cash as he did not agree to accept payment through credit card. When they fitted the stereo there were technical issues as the stereo has performance issues and doesnt switch off/on when the ignition key is removed or inserted. I informed mr mithun about the issue on the next day and he promised to get it rectified and post which i havent heard from them and whenever i call mr mithun rejects the call and when i called from a different number he said he is in his hometown and will revert back when he is back in pune. Post which again i havent heard back and he is not picking up the call.

                                  I am surprised thats spares team with such a big company sells stuff in the name of skoda and obviously i wasnt given any receipt for the transaction. However i have various sms, to prove the transaction

                                    My skoda rapid is 4 years old and i have been stuck twice on highways in last 2 years.
                                    Both the time, service center informed me that there is injector failure issues.
                                    I have serious concern about

                                    1. Reliability of the skoda brand
                                    2. There is design fault in skoda rapid (As similar issues and complaints i read on this website)
                                    3. Everytime u go to service center they come up with big repair cost bill. E. G. If 1 injector costs 25000/- so 4 injectors cost more than 1 lac... Start adding other parts and add body cost + other expenses, then how can someone sell car @ 10 lacs.. That means this is a big fraud by company and service center...

                                    Pls suggest how to form a group and take this up?

                                    I don't know for how many times u guys require the same info.. i think if some company is really interested in solving customer's such issue, then by now they would have REPLACED the Car..

                                    I HAVE CIMPLETELY LOST FAITH FROM SKODA as brand & Now i have serious doubts on the JMD Service center, kandivali. AND IT LOOKS LIKE THIS IS ONE SORT OF GAME just to increase their revenue through the service cost ..

                                    Government Must Look Into this and bring Price brackate on these service & part cost..

                                    Still for the last time let us see if after looking at this conversation what Skoda has to say or act?
