I purchased a sony 46" led tv at bangalore seven years back. It was working perfectly. A month back the tv developed problem and the sony representative in mysore, roshan electronics identified the problem and said that the complete panel assembly has to be replaced and it would cost rs. 33000/-. Accordingly i paid an advance of rs. 10000 to roshan electronics. I have been chasing them since then and they have stated that the spare is not available even at bangalore or probably delhi. It may have to be procured from singapore.
Hence no tv for my family and i since the last one month. Is this the way sony corporation manages its supply chain.

    It's been 2 and half years I got this tv. When we are getting lines on tv when it's having warranty servicing guys used to come and check. They told it's problem with cable not with tv. Now after expire of warranty they observed everything keen and now they are telling some ants went into the screen so these lines are appearing and it 'll cost rs[protected]. What should I do now.

      We purchased the Sony Bravia, a year back. Lately, some problems were observed.For the past 2 days, the TV is not functioning, even though the power is proper. The attached set-top box is showing light, while there's no light in the television set.
      We also tried to contact the Customer Care through phone, but due to some technical glitches, it's not responding. Kindly see to it, and send some help at earliest.
      Sony India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

        I raised a complaint 38995563 for KDL-42W900B 3D LED Smart TV- Display panel problem in Sony, but no physical damage/crack/scratch on the TV. Sony technician visited my place and told damage has occurred in the internal display panel of the TV. Not sure why the Sony display panel is so delicate that even with soft items the panel gets damaged. After spending 73000 rupees customers are not fools to damage the equipment and spend other 27954 for display panel.
        Sony India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

          1. My LCD TV started giving double images and the same is complained to Sony customer care center on[protected]. They sent an authorized engineer to che k. He asked to change display panel and took Rs.1000/-advance in the name of authorized Sony Service center Krish Electronics on 5th April 2017. Since then there is no action taken from their end. When I called back 8 days back, customer care center informed me that the part will not be avilable any more. This is highly disgusting. We believed in quality of product and service of Sony considering it as a very reputed company. But this kind of attitude towards service issues is highly unacceptable. I expect immediate resolution by replacing with LCD panel or replace my TV with new one free of cost if they cannot provide service for a product bought on 16th June2012 which is less than even 5 years old.

            Please find the attached invoice of the brand new sony bravia (W762e series) that i have bought recently (14th april 2017) for my parents.in spite of all the hard ships that i am facing with my sony tv, i have decided to buy sony, as i still believe that in sony products and the reliability.

            The reason for attaching the same is to explain once again what i am looking / expecting from sony. I am not writing letters to obtain discount 25% on new purchase, i was expecting sony company to take up the complete repair charges for the manufacturing defect and prove that you are customer centric.

            Expecting that sony will consider my request as one time and approve the same.

            My name is vinodh and am one of your customers from india who placed tremendous faith on the value, quality, reliability and premium over competition which sony commands worldwide in the consumer electronics sector.

            This mail is in reference to the letter dated 4th april ref no – 38668070 and subsequent discussion with sony service head, newdelhi.

            This comes as a surprise to me.in spite of repeated explanation to your team at various levels about the product failure email dt 21st, 22nd, 29th & 31st march 2017, all i get from them is empathy and no one is ready to accept the failure in the product and not ready to consider the same under free replacement.

            Stated earlier in my emails to your company the reason for buying the sony products is for its quality and customer centric approach. However, in my case both of them seems to be a failure. The loyal sony customer is getting punished for your company’s manufacturing defect.

            Attaching all email communications that i have had at various levels. Reaching out to you with a hope of getting my issue resolved.

            Quick case detail:
            Model : sony bravia 40r 482b bearing s. No # 3282687
            Problem : premature display panel failure in short span.
            Purchase date : 9th july 2014
            Warranty : 2.7 years (Since, it has worked only 5 - 6 months only, rest are idle due to my official travel)
            Root cause of failure : unable to identify (No external hit, no damage, no power fluctuation)
            Justification of failure from sony : sony can fail anytime being electronics item.

            Need clarification :
            How come a display panel failure occurs at this early stage?
            Is sony designed to fail display panel, mother boards, immediately after warranty expired as explained by your sony qualified technicians / branch in-charge?
            Since, there was no external / internal damage and any symptoms of failure. Assume this is could some assembly defect and hence failed.
            I purchased this television under hyundai program of rs. 37, 000/- within 2.5 years your are giving repair estimation of inr 20, 000/- which is almost (50%) higher than purchase cost.

            Being a sony loyal customer and crazy in sony products, escalating my premature failure to top management for either replacement (Or) fair prorated basis settlement to be with sony family. Trust, sony will support my case as goodwill basis considering efforts and faith in sony.

            For the premium i paid, i believe i did not obtain the worthwhile component life.

            Once again attaching all email communications that i have had at various levels. Reaching out to you with a hope of getting my issue resolved. I request you to review the mail thread correspondences cited below and consider either replacement of display panel free of cost (Or) a fair, prorated settlement.

            Pls let me know if you need any additional information / details.

              Hi,
              I have purchased klv - 49w672e led smart tv on 2nd april 2017, within 3days from purchase date we found back light emission on both corners and decided to check in sony showroom outlet and noticed no back light emission in other models in same series and so i log a complaint about this issue and surrender my smart tv to the sony authorised service center (Job sheet no j[protected] on 8th april 2017 (It happen within 7 days from purchase date) and i informed to service center it will be a minor or major issue i need replacement.
              Last week service engineer called me and informed replacement process in progress and within 5 working days will get the new led tv
              But suddenly yestarday service engineer called me and informed replacement is not possible, it's a minor issue not a problem
              I compared the same model series and raised a complaint about this issue also we won't found the same issue in other model in same series in sony outlet, then why the service engineer won't agreeing this.

              Only thing i need to know, service engineer won't spend his money and buied the product, i buied with my money so as a customer in need satisfication
              Completely disappointed almost 11 days over no input from service end
              Whenever i cal to service center, informing me it's in progress, need to wait how long i need to wait
              Dropped a mail to service head no reply, called to customer care and informed no response.
              Wrost wrost wrost service, this is the way to treat a customer
              Kindly notice the issue provide replacement if not i won't get the product from service center

              My tv is sony - r55c series
              the problem is while watching the screen goes away but not the volume
              we can only hear, but the screen is blank.
              In the morning it works completely fine for an hour or two, but then once it starts going blank it continuosly ocurs again and again
              so let me know the solution asap.

                Hello,

                My name is Sunil Sapre. I have purchased Sony Television Model no- KD-55X8500D, Sl no. 4004477 on 11/10/2016, from Sony showroom( Sidhansh Electronics Pvt Ltd) High Street Pheonix Mall, Lower Parel, Mumbai. Initially, we didn't use youtube, google, Chrome browser features on the TV. But since we started using these features, there has been problem with youtube and google. The youtube home screen is displayed properly, but there is a problem with the video playing. For example, I select a video to play, a message is displayed "cannot play the video at this time", I connect to google to search or play video, a message is displayed "cannot connect to google at this time", whereas the internet is connected with full signal and also the google chrome browser works fine, just the youtube video problem, so we can rule out the internet issue. Initially, when this problem occurred I called Mr, Shibu Khan, the person who delivered the TV set and gave me a demo during delivery. He told me a temporary solution to this problem to reset the TV settings, to turn the location option as off, to reset the date, time settings, After trying the above solutions, the youtube and google videos started working fine . So I thought the problem was resolved, but I was wrong, as the same problem occurred after 2 days. This time I contacted Shibu Khan again, he again told me to reset the settings, I did it, it again started working fine, but again after 3 days same problem. This time I again contacted Mr shibu khan, he told me to contact customer care and raise a complaint for a re-demo as I wanted to know what is the problem. I called the customer care, the executive was so rude, finally he told me the complaint has been initiated and a person from Sony will come in 2 days for a re demo, I thought a re-demo would solve things. I waited for a week, no one turned up, I again called Sony customer care, they told me there is no such complaint initiated and no person has been assigned for a re-demo, he asked me for the complaint number, I didn’t know a complaint number is required as the previous executive did not give me any number and told me that the complaint is initiated. So this executive, this time told me a person will visit for re-demo within two days. So basically my whole week was wasted. So finally, a person came for re-demo from Sony. His name was Mr. Kishor Paswan. I told him the problem with youtube and google videos not playing, He also did the date, time, location settings and reset the settings, and gave me a re-demo and yes, the videos started working fine. Again after 2 days I called up Mr Kishor Paswan, no prizes for guessing the reason, yes again the same problem, no youtube and google videos playing, the same message displaying cannot play videos and cannot connect to google, but the internet was connected, chrome was working, rest everything was working fine. This time Mr Kishore told me to call customer care and ask for a visit by a service engineer. Then MR Salim Ansari, an engineer from Sony, visited my house with full confidence to solve the issue, He did some thing, the videos started working, I guess he did the same old resetting the settings trick, yes and the videos were working fine, but this time he also spoke with his boss, Mr Rawal Chandrashekar, and told him this problem and also clicked image of the message displaying while trying to play youtube videos. I also spoke with Mr Rawal, as I was fed up dealing with Engineers, and had to speak with someone Senior. So as advised by Mr Rawal, Mr Ansari, the Engineer told me that there can be an issue with the video card so he will take the video card and replace it with the new one, I said ok no problem, I was happy as I thought finally some permanent solution. But my happiness was short-lived. After two days I got a call from same Engineer, Mr Ansari, he told me that the new video card has arrived and he is coming to replace it. He came to my house and removed the TV set from the wall and replaced the card. Sorry, he did not replace the card, but the entire motherboard, the main hardware part. He told me the entire part only should be replaced. So finally after replacing and putting back the TV set on the wall, the videos and everything started working fine, and the Engineer told me that the problem will never occur again. But again after 4 days same problem occurred, this time I called Mr Rawal personally, and I couldn’t believe it, he again told me to do some reset settings and date and time settings, I mean same old tricks played again, this was where it all started from, I again did the settings he told me to, again the videos were playing fine, but again after 2 days same problem, This time Mr Rawal started blaming my Internet provider. I mean, How is it possible, The google chrome browser on the TV, netfilx and everything else is working fine, Internet is connected with full signal strength, my other mobile phone, apple laptops are all connected on the same internet network, all devices are working fine, and Mr Rawal is saying problem with internet?. If there would have been internet problem i would have a got a message cannot connect to internet at this time or check your internet settings, whereas i am getting messages, cannot connect to google at this time and cannot play youtube videos. There is no internet issue as all other features like chrome browser working fine on th TV set. I think, Sony is just putting blame on my internet provider, as it does not want to take any responsibility. I want the tv set to be replaced.                   The issue is:
                  I bought 1 PS4 1TB variant and paid 34, 999 INR, but when I opened, connected to screen, came to know that it has only 500GB hard disc.
                  I reported this issue to service centre back in January, I am providing you the job number J70193677.

                  The service centre person told that they could not do anything regarding this.
                  I went to dealer also, the dealer is : Adishwar India Limited, Bangalore. Please refer Attachment for more details.
                  I went on to social media (twitter) also, I have attached the image as well.

                  Now this I reported back in January, but still not got any assistance.

                  But till date they have not resolved this issue, and are delaying the matter.
                  I've called customer care 6 times, they always promise that i'll get call from management next day or so.

                    I have recently called sony customer support.I had few doubts about ps4, but they don't even know general terms related to PS4.Sony is such a big company, but i am really very much disappointed by their customers support.They transferred my call to PlayStation department and they know nothing about PlayStation.I asked them about ps4 hdd upgrade, ps now, ps plus, dvd playback, etc but they telling everything wrong about what i asked.SONY is a very big and reputed company but their customer support is really bad.Such a BIG JOKE

                        My name is Harshad Bidwai. Few days back we bought a Sony music system (on my wife's name: Namita Tare, Serial No: 3371467). Today one technician came for the installation (Name: Samadhan). I have below remarks about him:
                        1. The quality of the installation he has done is not good. He could have done it in better way.
                        As POP work of my hall was already completed, I asked him to take speaker wires from outside. While hammering the pins on the wall he was not taking proper care and made unnecessary holes at few places and also his handling was very rough.
                        2. Recently I have completed the painting work of house. This technician has made lot of dirty spots on the wall while working. Inspite of telling him frequently about it he was not taking any care. It was like somehow he wants to finish his job.

                        Please consider this email as a complaint against this person for such a behavior and also would like to know who is going to pay for above damage.

                          I purchased a Sony 40" TV 40R35D from vasanth & co thru their Chennai trade centre year end sale promotion by paying full money.

                          Quality of product supplied to me is defective one which the mounting engineer himself confirmed. I spoke to Mr. Ramesh who spoke to me along with mounting engineer in concall and assured for replacement. But even after a week, there was no response & he do not pick my calls also.

                          Is this the Sony culture in India?
                          Along with TV, I also purchased two a/c. Is this the way vasanth &co treat their loyal customer?.

                          (I asked the Sony executive Mr.Lovkesh to give all India service head email id as I was pushed down to pillar to post, he hesitated to give the mail id, after lot of request, he gave the id. I don't know how far it is going to be true.)

                            Thatafter one day mr. kailash (technician person) came from chaitanya electronics (sony service center) chinchwad pune, maharashtra (india). he has not proper checked and verified regarding complaints of sony vega 29’’ crt tv.

                            He reported to us power off default and collect rs.230/- service charges from our end. no any payment receipt given from them. we asked them regarding complaints, action plan, payment receipt. but he replied power off default, so chassis and board collect from service center that after repaired your tv.

                            Last 3 day continue follow-up to service center, but we have not received positively response from them. we have facing bad & unsatisfied service from them.

                            After 1 months, we has visited to sony authorized service center m/s. chaitanya electronics pimpari pune and we asked to sr. technician mr. uttam regarding compliance of my crt vega modules tv repaired. what is taken action plan of repaired the tv. they has been not serious & unable interest of these complaints.

                            Mr. uttam has been replied, i am not technician, i am hazam……..

                            We are very shocked and unhappy for this low language.

                            We have get unhappy and bad service from them. we cant believe this bad and unexpected service from sony brand service center. it is very serious..

                            Last 3 months we are very bad service received from sony india about this complaints... no waiting onward...
                            Within 10 day, you have not clear my issues...
                            We will not purchase any product of sony brand for lifetime...

                              My Handset had Battery problem, Battery was to be replaced, Service Centre Persons assured me (verbally) that within 4-5 days, the problem will be solved. Battery is tobe procured. Date was 10.04.2017, Amount was paid by me. But till 14th, no status was available with anyone. Response was-it will take 7 days.

                              Isn't it ridiculous, because, this is jet era. Bullock Carts and horses are out of date. Fastest means of Transports, fastest Courier Services, fastest means of communications are there. in that case, these type of Slow/delayed services are defendable ?

                                I have purchased sony tv from fair deal and requested for a re-demo. I am not able to understand a feature in the TV. I want to use my mobile phone as a tv remote. I was able to connect it to tv but unable to change tv vhannels using mobile phone so requested a re-demo. Might be I am not able to understand it or there is an issue with the TV hardware/software.
                                I was notified to have re-demo on 4/14/2017 @9.00 am but I did not get a single call from anyone for a re-demo. So I called up customer service to look into this. They suggested that you will get the call soon.

                                How come an organization like SONY is taking it so lightly?
                                Need a clarification on this first and re-demo.

                                  I have faced panel issue with my sony tv as well. It came just

                                  Bearing sr. No : 5394758. I am chasing sony india since 2.5 months but
                                  They really dont care and still its not replaced. They are asking almost
                                  60% of tv price (Rs.15500) for replacing panel and their cost is very
                                  High. Sony quality is really gone down and their customer care is really
                                  Pathetic. I will never ever buy sony product as their quality is poor
                                  And it become big headache to me. If sony really care for customer they
                                  Hould replace faulty and defective panel without cost.

                                      There is no forgot password option for sony xperia z c6602 with android 5.0 (lollipop verison). So if you forget the password you should go to android device manager and reset the phone which means losing all your data. Please do something about this because not knowing the password doesn't mean that you stole that phone. may be the owner forgot the password.

                                        First of all I would like to congratulate you for producing many fine quality household products since long. SONY is the Brand with unique and perfect features in its every product since so many years. I am also a regular user of SONY product . considering above I always pick SONY out of other Brands whenever there is scope of doing so. It is only because of your product quality and prompt & honest service provision.
                                        My this inclination towards SONY Brand compelled me to go for it when I purchased one Mobile. Starting from your 10, 000/- range in the beginning, gradually I went for the mobile of 28, 000.00 range of SONY Brand very recently.
                                        Everything was going along smoothly upto my imagination as o[censored]sing previous products. But after six month of purchasing the SMART PHONE SONY (XPERIA XA ULTRA / DS F3216) IMEI NO. [protected] Mobile, all of a sudden its touch screen became non-functional. Till then I was not worried at all because of having very good experience of your better service standards.
                                        But to my extreme dismay, when I went to your service centre with the complaint, they prepared the service note of my mobile indicating it as Out Warranty Category, where as my Mobile is still within guarantee period. When I enquired about this they started giving me few silly replies.
                                        However, the touch screen of my mobile is not working within the guarantee period, hence it is replaceable as per your SONY Brand norms.
                                        Secondly, slight nickel has detached of the set and your service station says that it is a breakage. However it can be checked visually.
                                        So, Sir, I am just waiting for your earnest reply in this regard and I will see whether you follow your replacement norms or not. In any case I want my mobile set in working condition whether by replacement or by repairing . But one thing is very clear that by replacing my mobile, what I claim as per your norms, you will preserve and protect the faith of your very old valued customer or you will detached me as a customer from your SONY Brand.
