I'am a big fan of Sony products, so I have purchased Sony Bravia 50" LED TV (Model no: KDL-50W800B) on 10-June-2014 from a authorized Sony Center in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. Now from 07-Aug-2016, suddenly the screen started showing vertical lines all over it while the TV was "ON". I registered a complain to "authorized sony service center" asking for a service engineer to visit and diagnose the problem. The service engineer checked and told that its a display panel issue and can't be repaired, the only solution is to replace the whole display panel and gave estimate of 40, 000 Rs., which is like half the price of the TV.
Without any reason the display is spoiled by itself, Sony should do something for this and also the warranty provided was only for 1 year. I have purchased the TV for 1, 10, 000 Rs and such a expensive product should not show-up with such issue this early. Very poor quality and didn't expect this from SONY. Just for the quality only we all spent almost 200% on purchasing a product which is available with the competitors in half the price (with more features as well).
Hoping for some help from here.
