I am Ramu.G.Krishna, an unlucky user of Sony Xperia Z1 from Ernakulam, Kerala. I purchased my Xperia on 19 th April 2014 from Alif mobiles, Oberon Mall, Edappally, Cochin (invoice number - B-0129 dated 19 April 14) and on the 6th day of purchase it got hung, which was a Saturday and the 7th day was a Sunday, and service center was on holiday. i could not reach out the Sony service center in ernakulam (m/s Madonna electronics) which was nearest to me. On Monday upon my visit there, they told its not possible to replace the phone since 7 day period was over. They just updated the software and returned the phone.
I had faced the similar problem several times and since I was not in the hometown, I could not produce it for service.But on 17 October, i had to service it again with the job card number W[protected]. Issue not resolved completely. Again on 6th November, i went to Madonna for servicing the phone, because the phone was overheating abnormally and camera was not working, job card number is W[protected]. They advised me to go for replacement (refurbished phone) and i opted the same. I received the refurbished phone within a week, and closed the job sheet. Again, on 19 November i had to service the phone again with job card number W[protected] for the same complaints.And still i am waiting for a reply from Madonna service center as my job card is still open..AWAITING FOR A SOLUTION.
In a period of six months, four times serviced and two times replaced. (for each servicing i have to take leave from my work, which is quite not acceptable)
I bought the z1 for my professional assistance. and now i am unable to use it for my works, since it frequently visits the service center.
Kindly have a look into my case sir, and try to sort out the issue.

Sony India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
Now on Nov15th 2014 the TV stopped working.. So we approached to the customer service and they checked and told us that the main board got repaired and it costs Rs. 5000/-. they told us that they will check with sony whether the cost can be barred by them since the problem occurs after 3 months of expiration..Then after some days they told us the cost should be barred by us. This is completely not acceptable..because we bought the TV for Rs. 16900 and now the repair cost is Rs5000 which is almost 1/3 of the TV cost and that too within 3 months of warranty completion.. So hence we request sony to bare the repairs charge and do the needful for us...
