I bought a Sony Vaoi laptop (Model no SVT13113ENS IN5, Serial No. 7002451) in Aug 2012. Within 2 months, the laptop started crashing showing blue screen error. I called customer service and they told me to use ASSIST button to diagnose the problem. Since that was also not working, they sent over a technician to check. He just formatted the machine and gave it back. In March 2013, the laptop again started giving the same problems. Blue screen, pen drive not detected, speakers not working. I gave the laptop to Metal Tech Service center in Malad. They formatted the laptop and gave it back. On the same day I faced the same issues for which I had given the laptop for repairing. I went back and told them to thoroughly check what is wrong instead of just formatting the laptop every time. Finally they discovered that hard drive was the problem and replaced the hard drive. The machine worked fine till August 2013 when again it started crashing showing blue screen error. I have given again to the service center. This time also some part was defective which was replaced. I have asked for a replacement as there is definitely some defect due to which the laptop cannot work without problems for more than 2-3 months at a time. It’s been more than 3 weeks now but I have yet to hear from Sony regarding the same
I am so DISAPPOINTED with the quality of this Sony product. After spending 45,000 of hard earned money, this is what quality you get. Within a year, I have made so many rounds to the service center. I would strongly recommend people to think twice before buying Sony laptops. I wish I had bought HP or Dell instead. My pervious HP laptop which I used for 6 years did not have a single problem throughout.
