The TV had a breakdown (video intermitent display but audio was ok) in September 2013 and after informing your call centre, it was attended on 22.9.2013. Initially the technician told after a very brief inspection that the Mother Board had to be replaced and it would cost me about Rs 9000.00 . When I asked the reason for the failure, I was told that it wasbecause of over voltage. I asked him to show the burning marks of any diode, IC etc as I also was an Electronics Engineer. The technician then changed his answer that the mother board needs to be repaired and would cost me about Rs 3000. I asked for a technical report of the failure and a part replaced after three days. Since I could not produce the purchase bill as it was misplaced, I had paid for the same. After three days, the same complaint repeated and I registered a complaint with your call centre. Even after repeated calling your call centre for the one week, nobody responded to rectify the complaint. Later I called the Sony Hotline and registered the complaint and asked the Sony Company representative to speak to me which was denied. I asked for an appointment with the Sony MD or Service Head as the officeis near to my office but the same was denied. Till today, 19.10.2013 nobody from Sony India has given a call. With your "skilled team" attending the complaint, I think I have paid the earlier bill to spoil my TV. Request you to resolve this poor service and improve your team's diagnostic skills and recruit sufficient manpower to attend to at least repeat complaints of your premium products. Hope to get a reply and immediate resolution of my complaint. Awaiting for your call and explanation for this poor service. MAY BE THIS TYPE OF POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE REASON FOR THE DECLINE IN THE SONY MARKET SHARE WHICH HAS BEEN TAKEN OVER BY SAMSUNG. Till date this TV is not being attended and would like to share my experience with the consumers across the country in all the major malls this Diwali season, if the Service Head does not respond to this mail and provide an assurance in writing to replace the unit on free-of-cost basis in case of repeat failure. Dear Team,

My LED Sony Bravia 32 inch TV has been gone faulty on 26 SEP 2014 i locked the complaint at 27 SEP already one month has been over but I did not get any solution for Sony. This type of Working Behavior is not acceptable at all.
Kindly Update on urgent Basis.

Please look into the issue and try to fix up the problem permanently.

    Hi I had purchased a Sony Xperia U handset and have been facing problems since the very first month of purchase. Details of my purchase are as follows :– Product- Sony Xperia U Black Pink GSM Handset Model Number – ST25i Date of Purchase- 10th November, 2012 Tax Invoice Number – VPM4/ 31633 Bought from- Magnet – the Electronix Mega Store Shop no. G-122, Prime Mall, Irla, Vile Parle (West) Mumbai – 400056 This mobile phone purchased is riddled with problems and once my 1-year warranty expires on 10th November 2013, I would have to pay for the same repairs and additional problems arising in the months ahead. Dealing with Sony has been very difficult with no help from most of its staff and information available online. It is a faceless management with no one apart from helpline numbers and an email address where issues are far from being resolved. The company has extremely poor consumer redressal management. What kind of service does Sony provide when there is no one answerable to their own customers facing problems using their products? What I fail to understand is that how many times am I supposed to visit service centers to give and take back my phone with problems still persisting, feeling great that I have been getting free service? What happens post warranty? My issues are not getting resolved. However once my warranty expires not only do I continue to battle the basic issues, I also start to shell out money for the same repairs and may be more, which Sony service centers have been trying to deal with unsuccessfully in the past one year. I would like to hereby claim my money for the purchased handset INR 14499/- (original bill available) Additionally, I would also like to claim INR 20, 000/- from the company, for all the complete harassment, the mental torture and unnecessary anxiety undergone these past few months. Due to this on-going mess, I have had to purchase a new phone in less than a year due to this malfunctioning handset. Inspite of having given to the service centers, the problems continue to persist. I had given my phone for servicing to the Magnet Store (store of purchase) on 31st July 2013. Job number- W[protected] The phone is currently in the D.N. Nagar (in Andheri west) Sony service center yet again. It was given on 30th October, 2013 Job number- W[protected] All the issues are listed below in detail Had sent a similar mail to the email address (questions.[protected]@support.sonymobile.com) provided by Sony Service Center staff Sent: 11/09/2013 16:24:12 Hi I am sorry to be writing a mail of such content to an esteemed brand such as yours. However my experience using Sony Xperia U (model number ST25i ) has compelled me to approach Sony service centers, helplines and regional managers This is my last resort. I had purchased the phone in Nov 2012 and since then I have been having erratic issues with this phone leaving me guessing all kinds of problems and solutions. Earlier I thought that it was mostly when I was on roaming, because I travelled soon after my purchase (as written below), but over the months I have come to realize that maybe the phone set itself seems faulty. Nov - Dec 2012 - Calcutta -Delhi- Lucknow (Roaming) 1) Battery seemed be lasting for just about 6 hours in a day without even making phone calls. so it is constantly plugged into any charging point available anywhere through most of the day. 2) When put on charge, the battery indicator would not display the charge percentage correctly. However, just restarting the handset changed display so much so that the battery / charge levels increased by about 20 - 30%!!! So how am I supposed to know whether the battery or the display is malfunctioning? 3) Whatsapp and other chat applications like Gtalk become silent on their own. This can happen at any time in the day/night. Restarting brings back the beep /tone set. The phone decides on its own when it needs to stop buzzing on the working of these apps !! smart phone I guess !! 4) At Delhi airport I had no network, no signal whatsoever. Though hundreds of people around me seemed to be just fine with their networks. Restarting phone only meant re adjusting date and time, umpteen times !!! I was not able to communicate with anyone and spent time restarting and selecting and choosing networks, in hope of being able to get some kind of a signal on my handset 5) Battery heats up really fast. no fixed patterns of being on wifi networks, searching phone networks or using certain apps/games could be traced by me. Jan - 2013 - Mumbai ( NOT roaming) Phone seemed more or less fine. i was just glad to be back and have my battery lasting longer than the 6 hrs!!! Since I am based in Mumbai, I assumed, some problems being resolved meant there could be some roaming issues. However problems # 2 #3 and #5 continued even when in Mumbai. Feb 2013 - Jaipur (roaming) All the issues faced earlier (# 1 #2 #3 #4 again at Delhi airport and #5) were back 6) I also noticed that once I disconnected the phone from charger all applications on the phone just hung!! and the ph got really slow in working. 7) Any SMS (normal text messages) received would take a good -30 seconds to just open in the messaging application 8) Network connectivity was terrible. Others on my network seemed to be having absolutely no issues in this regard. Ironically, I was in Jaipur for a Sony xperia ad- shoot and with a malfunctioning handset, it made things really difficult and minute to minute co-ordination with my unit was thrown out of gear. Finally I was compelled to borrow phone because “phone giving trouble” is hardly reason enough in today’s day and age when we take something like a smartphone for granted as it integrates itself into our lives in more ways than imagined !!! Mar- July 2013- Mumbai ( NOT roaming) Phone faced the above issues off and on. Gave my phone for servicing to Sony service centre and got it back hoping the issues were resolved. The phone was given on 31st July and I received it back on 5th August 2013. Aug- Sept - Calcutta (roaming) This visit to Calcutta did not have the battery issues so guessing they may have been resolved at the service centre. However other problems continued so i realised that the service centre visit would happen again. SEPT 2013 - Mumbai (NOT roaming) 2 days after i am back from Calcutta my phone who is still battling with issues inspite of being checked and "serviced" suddenly seems to have a keypad malfunction A touch screen phone is useless once the screen starts to act up Apart from other issues which persisted all along, this was a new one !!! A repair /replacement would cost me way too much to invest into a phone which cost me nearly 15000/-when i purchased it but has absolutely failed to live up to its expectations. My final visit to the service centre was also useless as they said the only way i could get heard was calling helplines (which are usually a total waste of time) or by mailing at this address, when I had actually wanted to speak to some higher authority who would be available to solve this problem for me which has lasted me almost a year. I was told to give it for servicing yet again and any defect ( eg: touchscreen replacement) would not be charged since the phone is still under warranty. However i decided against giving it for servicing till I met someone in Sony who would help me though this. This is the first time I went ahead to buy a Sony Phone because I wanted something new and different. However I have and I will strongly recommend my friends and family against such a foolish decision. I would be really grateful if someone bothered to respond to this mail. However having been through all of this. I would not be surprised if i am disappointed yet again. An extremely upset angry and dissatisfied customer Shubhra Joshi On 30th October, 2013 - I finally managed to meet met Mr. Ashish Parekh (Western regional manager) after almost 2 months of trying to get in touch with someone from Sony, to help me through. All that he asked me to do was give it into the service center once again for repairs. On 31st October, 2013 – Mr. Parekh calls to inform me that he had spoken to the service center and all problems would be solved by replacing the touch screen. He has also said that my warranty would be extended by the number of days my phone stays at the service centre. However I refuse to deal with a handset that has given me so much trouble all these months and want to be compensated for the same. I have been told by Mr Ashish Parekh (Western regional manager) that it is not a company policy to be refunded As an esteemed company, this behaviour from Sony and its employees has been extremely annoying. Within a brief span of 15minutes at the service center, I have witnessed other dissatisfied customers as well, being provided with answers which are just random !! I am glad I am not the only one. Hence now left with no options I would like to complain against Sony and expect matters to be dealt with firmly and resolved at the earliest. Thanking you. Shubhra Joshi

      With reference to the subject mentioned above I would like to inform you that, I had purchased a Sony Bravia LCD TV model No. KVL32S530A in 2009 from Malaysia which has an International Warranty. Further I regret to inform you the TV has a manufacturing defect and hence the screen has developed an uneven surface / wrinkled screen due to which the picture is unclear. Kindly do the needful.         As a repeat Sony customer, I bought SONY BRAVIA LED LCD TV (KDL 40-EX520) from Croma in August 2011 for Rs. 65, 000/-. Sometime in July 2013, I started to get RED vertical lines near the top edge of the screen. The lines are around an inch long starting from the top edge. Colour of the lines is red when actual screen is black in that area. When there is picture in the top edge area, I see different colours strip at the top one inch of the screen. The lines are permanent irrespective of the input signal. Even when there is no signal, the red lines are visible. I finally called customer care last week. The service rep inspected and told me that the LCD screen is faulty and I will have to shell out round Rs. 22, 000 to get the screen replaced as the TV is out of one year warranty. I saw many SONY customers complaining about this issue online which comes usually within 2 years of operation. Apparantly, there is a major manufacturing defect in the LCD Panel. My service number is 16212125 attended by Aar Vee Infoservices. My question is, Does SONY’s responsibility end with the ending of Warranty? Is it not their moral obligation to give some solution to their customers if the defect is due to bad quality of TV parts? Why should I spend Rs 22, 000/- on the TV repair that is only 2 years old. I was getting the same specification TV’s at less than 75% of the price of the SONY TV but I went for SONY thinking that it is a premium brand and would give me years of trouble free service. Is it too much to expect from you, SONY? Or is it that SONY is premium only in price and not in quality or customer satisfaction? Sanmeet Hundal [protected]

        SONY has once again failed to maintain quality of its products with expensive TV units failing in less than two years and requiring exorbitant repairs. SONY has one more dissatisfied customer but I guess another addition to the long list of dissatisfied customers will make no difference to SONY. Im geeting a SAMSUNG TV next week. Too bad my Rs 65000/- investment into SONY’s product will be going into the dustbin.

        I have very good experience with SAMSUNG products and SAMSUNG customer relations. People, Pls put your hard earned money on such responsible brands rather than throwing the money to SONY.

        Hi All,

        I am another disgruntled customer of Sony. I purchased the same TV about 2 years back and now there are various colour tints across the screen. Initially it was a green tint which would go away after 2 hours. Now it is a permanent red tint. The response from Sony India was almost the same. Replace the LED Panel at the cost of 21, 000 with one year warranty. Can someone prevent Sony from selling these defective TVs and get some compensation for the customers who lost their money.

          I have a Sony Vaio Laptop (Model: PCG-61A11W). I purchased this around 2 year back. I lost the Screw of my laptop automatically. 3-4 main back side screws. I went your authorised service centre MADONNA SYSTEM & SERVICE, Calicut, Kerala. But they are not having the screw. They are saying it will take one week to get the screw. I wondered that how your service centres not having the basic stuffs like a main screw of the laptop. And a customer need to wait one week a screw. I am working in Orissa and i cannot keep the laptop in service centre or don’t have leave of one week to wait the screw. I am not at all satisfied with service centre people because they way of talking to a customer is very poor and irresponsible. They are saying if you want screw then you order the screw here first by paying amount then after one week it may come. This kind of Service from a standard firm SONY is unexpected and disappointed. At least you have to make sure your authorised service centres having basic stocks and facilities.

            SONY INDIA HAS DECEIVED ME.I PURCHASED SONY 3D LED TV KDL W850 AND THEY HAVE NOT PROVIDED ME WITH THE FREE HEADPHONES WORTH RS 13000 AND ALSO THE 3D BUNDLE OFFER FOR WHICH I PAID EXTRA 10000 RS.INITIALLY THEY ASKED ME TO SEND THEM A INVOICE OF THE PURCHASED TV AND SAID THAT THEY WILL SEND THE OFFERED PRODUCTS AT MY DOOR STEP.NOW THEY ARE REFRAINING BY SAYING THAT THE DEALER FROM WHOM I PURCHASED THE TV SET IS NOT AUTHORIZED TO SELL THE TV.IF HE WAS NOT AUTHORIZED THEN HOW SONY SEND THEIR MEN FOR WALL MOUNTING THE NEXT DAY.AND NOW THEY DON'T WANT TO GIVE ME THE OFFERED PRODUCTS.SONY HAS DECEIVED ME IN THIS WAY.             sony people do this quite often...guys don't ever go for sony products...!!!
            they did this kind of thing to my friend as well...and he says that you will regret there free gifts as well...so i think sony being a good company must improve there customer relations...

              Dear Sir, We admire and value Sony products, but the value is lost when the service is not provided on time. We have brought 47 inch, W850A television on Sunday (27-Oct-2013) and today is Friday (01-Nov-2013) and still we don't have the person attending our house for free installation.                 Sir, My brothe (Nagesh Hegde) purchased Sony Xperia Z ultra on 16.08.2013 from V Mobiles, Bangalore. Few days ago while riding, my mobile which was there in my pocket undergone pressure which made some broken line inside display. When I took that to Sony Center, Indiranagar they told that buy paying 24k I can get a new handset. But they didn't tell anything about service or the solution which can be done. For the mobile worth 44k, is it really the only display costs half of it's price. Is there any solution which can be done in less amount. Please help me in this matter. I have attached the photos of bill and mobile phone.

                My sony x peria z ultra mobile has a display problem and i communicated with you,
                as per your instruction i went to indiranagar Sony service center(cheating center) 4th time as the concerned person Mr. Ramesh called. As I told in the first visit without checking the phone they told that phone will be replaced by paying 24k. after complaining to you people they called us and in that 2nd visit they took the phone inside, checked everything and asked us to take the seal on the bill from mobile retailer. 3rd visit again they checked the phone and bill and asked us to get the DD worth 24k to get replacement.
                But we the regular user of Sony from past 8 years(since Walkman phones started) had hope on Sony that they won't cheat us like this. All our family members uses Sony(Xperia Z1, Xperia S, Xperia M and Xperia C). We even used to advice our friends and relatives to buy Sony smart phones. with all these faith again we asked you for the justice.
                After this we got a call from Mr. Ramesh ([protected]) from indiranagar service station. In this 4th visit again he took the phone inside and came out with a new thing and asked us about the liquid damage indicator which was not there on that phone at that time. till that day we are not aware about that liquid damage indicator. What is the guarantee that he has not removed the indicator, or else why didn't tell about this in the previous visits. He took the snaps of phone and sent to Head Office and got a reply that 80% cost for replace a phone..
                why we send this mail because we never use your products here more and we never recommend your product to anybody...very worst service and very worst brand and xperia serious like xperia z xperia z ultra have major display problems my friend also got same problem but he have damage warranty of 3 month my bad luck i got only 1 month.and one more thing is please take action against ramesh because he will spoil your entire brand name and services... indiranagar Sony service center is not service center its money making service center
                As the mobile is non repairable you are providing a damage warranty for Z series phones since September 16th, is it our mistake to buy sony products as it arrived to market. If phone has manufacturing defect is it not your duty to honour the regular customers?

                  Hi, I have been a long time sony fan for most of my electronics and thus when they launched the new experia L i was quick to grab one. it worked well for a few months and then suddenly i found problem with touch and the charging port also the software of the device started to misbehave and hanging problem. i walked into the sony service centre and requested that my phone be repaired at gurgaon center sector 14. the engineer there was not polite and helpful as he was sitting there and asked him to checked the mobile phone then he refused to check till i get my job sheet. after cheaking they have submitted my mobile phone and they said that the touch or mother board need to be change as my set is in the warranty and it was in the very new condition. After few day i have been there to collect my handset from the service center they have said that now your phone is ok we have changed the motherboard and touch also i did not check mobile phone properly as i have trusted them after came back to my hose i have checked the camra and flash was not working in the mobile phone and the i have checked my screen touch in deep i found that the touch is also not new they have replaced old touch screen and i am not sure with the motherboard as the camra and flash led was not working. i have been there in the same service center and told them about all the problems they they have assured me that they will change once again camra, motherboard and touch as said sorrt to me, i trusted once again and submitted my handset in the service center and they did not give my any stand by phone i suffered to much in this period. after 12 days i have called them and asked about my set is ready or not they said yes your handset is ok now i have been there and once again i have taken the mobile phone is in hurry as i have meeting i did not check it properlly . this time i have checked my mobile phone again the same problem is still there and found the another old touch screen on my phone. i really dont understand what is going on in the service center i have submitted the phone once again and asked about the area manager number, Email ID or my old job sheet as well they have refused all of the things. i am very much sure that they are issueing the new parts from the sony on warranty and replace with used parts and after that they sell new parts to the people who came to buy the parts Details :- i bought this mobile phone is on[protected] SONY C2104 WHITE EXPERIA L service center name and address :- [censored]IJ TELECOM, Shop Number 115, GF AKD Tower, Sector-14, Gurgaon, Haryana-122001 First Job No- w[protected] Second Job no- W[protected] Third Job No- AXWPS1829ASD001 First IMEI No- [protected] when i bought this mobile phone . Second IMEI No- [protected] Third IMEI No- [protected]. First i have submitted my mobile phone on 09 oct 2013 and collected on 12 oct 2013. ( not provided stand by mobile phone by service center) second i have submitted my mobile phone on 14 oct 2013 and collected 26 oct 2013 ( not provided stand by mobile phone by service center) third i have submitted my mobile phone on 29 oct 2013 ( provided stand by mobile phone by service center) i would like to tell you one more thing i have attached the copy of the cash memo bill which i have got the change my parts of the hand sets they have assured me to they have change the motherbord as well as the touch screen as they have cheated with me you can see in the cash memo, in both memo they have only change the mother board only not anything else and they have issued the part from the service center on my job sheed and did not the replce with new touch and more.. kindly look in to this matter and try to stop all this cheating with customers and with Sony too.. i hope i ll get the positive resonse or else its a shame sony is cheating its customers in this manner. something one never expected. this would be my and my families last sony purchase and i wish to advise everone to think twice before picking up a sony product. and i have option for the legal action/ consumer court too...                     my name is P.PREM KUMAR from Hyderabad. i bought a new SONY XPERIA Z BLACK[protected] in RELIANCE DIGITAL in kottapet, hyderabad, i got a problem with handset on[protected], and immediately i went to J.S MOBILE SERVICE CENTER which is an authorized by Sony. after 4 day i got a mobile but it is not fair, and i return back service center. on that same day i met with reliance digital manager, from there i got one phone number his name is SUNDEEP ([protected]) i explained the problems regarding my mobile, he told me that( SIR IN TWO MONTHS BACK THE SONY XPERIA MANUFACTURING WAS FAILED NOW SONY IS CHANGED TO ANOTHER MANUFACTURING NOW NEW DEVICES ARE COMING TO MARKET PLEASE TAKE THIS TIME... IF YOU GET ANY PROBLEM AGAIN I WILL GIVE YOU NEW SEALED MOBILE).. he told me like that..after that i wait for 5 day again i got a same problem with mobile from the service center i.e i got same scratches on the handset...this is the complete information which i phased from past 20 days now i want to say is i got many problems with service and handset... i want to get the new sealed sony xperia z handset... if you accept my request i will be very happy..

                      Sir, I purchased a Sony kdl-42w670a from Navrang Laxmi Nagar, Delhi on 24.10.2013. it was installed by your company men at 5.00 pm on 26.10.2013. I noticed a spot on the screen. Yes a noticed a spot on the screen. How Sony is selling a defective piece without doing the QC. I am very disappointed and felling cheated. It was difficult to understand that how Sony selling through authorized dealer a defective piece. Please provide me a brand new piece duly quality checks.. Model no - kdl-42w670a Serial no -5402270 date of purchased - 24.10.2013 date of installation - 26.10.2013 For me this is not just a tv but a dream.I have taken a loan for this from finance company. Please inform what quality check control system is following.Fraud is happening in Sony company to sell defective piece.                         I have brought the SONY VIAO laptop on 15th Aug with great hope. overall performance was average but still there was low battery backup and low screen display quality. Just after one and half month later the screen went crack it shows like the broken glass without doing nothing. We just watched moview and closed laptop and opened after a half an hour and swithced on laptop then it has seen that the LCD screen went cracked looking like the broken glass. initially i suspect something might happen externally but i conformed that with no any touch to laptop or without any manual intervention this had happened then i contacted to service centre refused to consider it in warranty rterms. Then i googled it for so I found especially Sony is specialist in this problem. and it is the manufactring fault only so bad is brand. Again the sony customer care is so poor that they dont reply and only they forward to higher athourity but no solution and they are charging about 10000 rupees for replacement. which about 45% of laptop purchase price. SO I request each and everyone of you never buy an Sony Laptop its garbage and it waste of my hardearned money. They just loot the consumers. They dont even listen the what had happened they just say that it is physical damage but they dont eventry to understand the problem I faced huge loss losssssssssssssss. So pls all dont buy this laptop. ACER is the best and next is HP. I want replacement for my sony screen crack because am not responsible for manufacturing fault

                          i have purchased my xperia z1 on 22 october from then only its heating too much while using WiFi and while making call.Its screen also goes black at the second day but came back. I contacted SONY CENTER -BHOPAL(MANSAROVAR COMPLEX) and told about it.They updated it and said to use it for one day but same problem occurred after one day and i contacted them after one day they do not took the problem seriously and said its a common problem we cant do anything about phone heating. I am not at all satisfied with the service. i want to complain against it.

                            I am a great member of your Sony family for the last 2002 years.I request you to visit my residence once to prove this point.I don’t use any other brand than the spell bounding term SONY.I use Sony tv, handycam, home theatere, digital camera for a long time but all these products are trouble free. i always prefer to buy Sony products as compare to other companies. But it was my ill fate that inspired by these performances.
                            I brought a Sony xperia SP phone(IMEI [protected]) cell phone on 14.08.2013.After the very first month only the performance was not as per SONY standards.So long it was functioning I did not have time to rectify minor defects like LED problems.But off late since 05/10/13 I am really disappointed.Till date I have given my set for repair at shailu electronics, Mathura (vide work order W[protected]), service centre said that motherboard will be changed by company from chennai, but they have taken 15 days for rectified the problem alongwith changing of motherboard(IMEI [protected]), After 1 day it has lots of problem like restarting, heating, battery problem, hanging, camera not clean, bad battery back up, spot on display.than today I have given my mobile set for repair at shailu electronics, Mathura (vide work order W[protected]
                            I request you to see that this set is replaced at the earliest as they are unable to repair the same but are harassing me time and again. This phone is not up to the levels of Sony products. Its irritating me a lot So, without my phone I am totally handicapped. So please replace the phone or send my total money back...

                                  My complaint is against Sony india regarding a faulty mother board of my 40ex400 LCD unit.My unit has been in trouble since 3-4 months after we purchased it.In December-12 the mother board of our unit was replaced by a new motherboard by Metal-tech malad-Mumbai who is an authorised service center of Sony.At the time of replacement was assured that there won't be any problem for another 4-5 years, but since September-13 the same problem has occurred.Got in touch with the authorised service centre they say that once again the motherboard has to be replaced for a charge of rs9500 which comes with a warranty of just 3 months from the company itself.Got in touch with the senior manager of Metal-tech but invain...they are not interested in even answering our query...so mailed a complaint to Sony india on 9th October-13 got a complaint no15998824.Its been 15 days now but there is no reply.The service manager says that there is only 3 months warranty on its part, but while getting it replaced was assured that there won't be any issue for another 4-5 years...at the time of replacement paid 9500rs to the service guy and the mother board has to be again replaced with 10 months...What kind of quality product does Sony sell without and service or customer satisfaction that too at a premium price...I just want my motherboard to be replaced free of cost as it is the duty of Sony to stand by their product or any after sales product that has been installed by their own appointed service centre staff... Hope to hear from Sony soon or else will go to the media and will let people know what kind of product and service does a Japanese company is offering to its customer.. thanks Kalpesh.dangarwala.

                                    Hi, After a lot of research and enquiries I purchased my first Sony laptop. The laptop had a very peculiar problem. The row of keys next to the capslk function stopped working immediately after I bought the laptop. I complained and gave the laptop at the service centre and they took a lot of time even answering or addressing the complaint. I then approached the dealer who had sold me the laptop and he replaced it after quite some time. The product he gave me has the following credentials (Product Name-SVT14113CNS, S/N[protected]. Now this product again seems to have the same problem, this row of keys has stopped working for the last 2-3 days. Is this a defect with this product line? I have been using laptops for the last 15 years and this is the first time I'm facing such an issue. I dread going to the Service centre as I know the kind of responses I can expect. I'm a professional who travels and needs access to a laptop all the time. Can I have someone from the product line respond? Or should I take this up in consumer court? I'm very frustrated and have lost a lot of productive time and sleep over this issue. Just imagine when you have a password with a few alphabets amongst these keys, they simply refuse to work.                                     Hi, I purchased this laptop SVT141A11W in December 2013. Recently am facing a problem that a lot of noise is coming from CPU Fan. When I went to service center, they asked me to replace the CPU Fan as the fan alignment was disturbed. Till now I visited the service center 4 times. I observed a lot of people that whoever comes for service without warranty, their first answer would be "Replace the part". Last time I had a problem that there is a coloured spot on the screen. They immediately told me to replace the screen. When I said that I have warranty, they told that they will check and will let me know. Surprisingly they rectified the problem without replacing. This would have not happened if I would have not had warranty.
                                    Now not sure what to do for my CPU fan. Can't they rectify the alignment problem? I heard that even if there is dust on CPU fan, then also sound comes like that. They are telling that if I want, they will clean and give. But I want to know that as you are telling that there is fan alignment problem, can't you confirm if its the same or other problem before replacing? Not just by word. But by proof instead of just telling people to replace the part. And the fan is too costly. They are telling 6250/- .They are telling that once the warranty expires, at any cost, I can't get warranty in future. Is it so?

                                    I have purchased this laptop in 2012 Dec. Recently I upgraded to Windows 10. From then, my laptop sound is very low and quality of sound is also reduced. Can you suggest what can I do. If this problem can't be rectified, can I downgrade to 8.1??

                                      We purchased a Sony Vaio Laptop (SN115EN) last July (2012) paying Rs 38, 000/- We are facing keyboard problem within 13 months of the purchase On visiting the service center we have been informed that the same needs to be replaced & the replacement cost informed to us is an exorbitant Rs 6, 000 !!! The problem has been reported to the Sony service mail id sonyindia.[protected]@ap.sony.com via complaint no [protected] since 2 months & we have just received mail replies to the same We have requested free replacement of the faulty keyboard since more than 3 weeks & we were asked details of service center visited On providing these details, we have received no revert on the matter since more than 10 days Really wonder how low has brand like SONY & high end products like Vaio & the service of such a reputed company dropped !                                         JOB NUMBER - J31457821 COMPLAINT Nos[protected],[protected]. I bought SONY VAIO laptop – VAIO SVE14133 Sr no 0003115 on 3rd August 2013. While using it only for the first time there was a problem with my screen(LED). First of all my complaint was not actioned for 7 days and after repeated calls to customer care - On 13 August, I was promised by the local repair centre(Unique Quality Experts) that the laptop would be replaced free of cost. After about 7 days, 19th August 2013, I got a call again from the service center to submit my laptop and it would be replaced with a new one within 3-4 days. Hence I submitted the laptop for replacement. Again after 3 days - 22 August 2013 I got a call from service centre that company has stopped manufacturing this model and new product with only different model number(F14212SN) but same configuration would be provided to me - free of cost. I provided my consent even though the laptop offered me was of lower configuration[battery and camera]. Then on 23rd August I was asked to sign a form and assured that again in 2-3 days my laptop would be exchanged but I got a call later that I need to pay near about 2000 INR for getting a new laptop. First of all - They could not explain me why should I pay for the new laptop(F14212SN) when it has a lower configuration than the older one? Moreover, the newer model contains only a 4 cell battery and a 0.9 megapixel whereas the original product SVE14133 had a 6 cell battery with 1.3 megapixel camera - REST OF THE CONFIGURATION BEING THE SAME. I agreed to the unethical and relentless demand of paying Rs 2000/- as I did not want to get into litigation and all for such a small amount. However even after paying Rs 2000/- on 30th September 3013, by DD no - 419925, Punjab National Bank, however I have not been given the new laptop so far. Now imagine the amount of harassment caused to me.. Customer care representatives keep on lying and lying.. There is no escalation matrix on the website.. I wonder how Sony is operating in India without any ethics or morals !?! I have been constantly following up with Jasmeet Singh, ASI - Delhi, Sony - who never gives any satisfactory response. Atleast the people reading this post - never ever go for any Sony products.
