Handset maker Sony Ericson launched a new portfolio of high-end mobile phones priced between Rs 25,695 and Rs 35,795 in India, and aims to garner a considerable market share in the smartphone segment.The handset maker has launched five devices--Xperia X10, Xperia X10 mini, Xperia X10 Mini Pro, Vivaz and Vivaz Pro, all of which are above the Rs 10,000 category."The new portfolio will take communication entertainment to the next level. Beside the five devices that we have launched, we will launch devices in the low-end sub-Rs 5,000 handsets as well," Sony Ericsson Corporate Vice- President and Head of Asia Pacific region Hirokazu Ishizuka said.With the launch, Sony Ericsson plans to corner a considerable market share in the high-end mobile market segment which is currently dominated by Nokia, Blackberry and Apple, he added.Besides, on the content side, Sony Ericsson has partnered with regional and local content and application providers such as MTV India, UTV, Shemaroo, Electronics Art, Indiagames and Disney among others to deliver entertainment content."The proliferation of social and digital media is changing the consumer experience with mobile phones. Dear Sir
I am having three mobile phones of sony ericson T700 T715 and z550i . My personal mobile phone is T715 and i bought it last year around december 2009 from one o[censored]r centres bedi electronics shalar road jammu J & K. I have lost my bill since my phone has not completed one year and it is having some problems like it gets hanged its charging point doesnt work same is the case with T700. Please tell me wht should I do and how to check the manufacture year of my mobile.

    Hi Sony and its Responsible Team,

    Thank you for letting me down on the trust for THE SONY company. The company is great in making fool out of people innocence. I have recently purchased XPERIA TIPO on 24/12/12. The phone worked fine for the first week. After that its touch and response time went bad. I thought its happening due to moisture or weather or screen guard. Now its gone worst, to open the lock i have to try 5 times to open it. Dialing a number is winning a battle.

    When the problem continued for a month then i searched on websites, sony's website and even googled it. To my surprise 8 out of 10 people have same issue with TIPO mobile. Entire series of phone is faulty. Its just a month old phone, and its nightmare to use it and also to speak to your customer care because there response is to make things more worst. My simple point is to get this product replaced and to get higher series of model in Xperia. But TIPO and its feature is totally horrible. I have read customers feedback about this phone. Even after the service the problem repeats in week time. So i request you all to get my phone replaced. I have recently bought Xperia Miro, Its working fine and functionality is great. But not happy with TIPO.

      Sony — DEFECTED TV

      Pls note I hv purchased the color tv model Kv da34m80 on nov 2005 @ 91000/-
      But sooner in 2007 dec the Color got faded I made Complaint in SONY nri electronic noida ...& they Changed the part called #A1084427a which cost me total of 6355/-{ job nri#43407}

      But again the same problem occurred with in year on Dec-2008. I again logged complaint on 21-dec.( complain number # 14156) But no one in NRI electronics. Attended the complaint till MAY, , , after my repeated reminder & calls they visited and changed the same part on 5-april & Charged me 4450/- under bill number 1403 dated ( this was done after 4 months of my complain)

      But the problem again repeated within 3 month of repair-the colors got faded again.
      I made complain again. But instead of giving me new complain number they asked me to follow the old complain # 14156 . But they never attended nor have sent their engineer to my home when I personally visited the office in noida they clearly refused and said to contact Ghaziabad branch as I am residence of indirapuram-ghbd …

      Now I was frustrated and logged my complain with sony India .. Yes the enginer visited my home on 25-june and confirmed me the problem that the part need to be replaced again I feel that I have being cheated by Sony India.
      First that they have given me a defected TV. Secondly they have just cheated me on part replaced.

      Now till date I keep calling & put mails to sony-India but no solution have being provided to me. –pls help me

      As per my own experience, SONY is a producer of third class products. Their after sale servie is pathetic. They try to looting the people who get trapped in thier product.

      In the same context, I have also made such complaints.

      So for next time just FORGET SONY FOR EVER. explore other companys.

        i submitted my Sony Ericsson J20i handset at Prasanna services, district centre, Aurangabad. I was facing problems in my handset like strip, low speaker volume And Ringer clarity . My phone number is [protected]. i submitted my handset at the end of September 2012 but have not received any response till now (February 2013). i am not satisfied with the servicing procedure of Sony Ericsson. now I want to request you to kindly repair my handset and rectify all the problems i am facing as soon as possible or i want strict action to be taken on Sony Ericsson company by the senior most administration.

But there has been some problem with the earphone jack. I had been to the Authorized Sony Service Center in Thane on 29.01.2013 where I was told that the motherboard of the phone will have to be replaced. I believe that when one is buying a phone which is quite expensive and high on budget would definitely feel disappointed when it develops certain problems within one month's time. Further the owner of the phone would always handle the phone very delicately and carefully as against the service center.

          I insist that my handset be replaced and not repaired.

          Kindly do the needful.

          THE...TOUCH of my cell...is not working properly!!...i brought it 1 month back!!
          I am facing the same problem with my Xperia j. Could you please tell me how much time did they take in repairing your phone??
          My name is Dileep Rawat, I live in Lucknow. on 29 Jan.2013 I bought new sony xperia J (ST26i). one month back it started hanging, now from yesterday its screen touch has completely stopped working even I updated my mobile bt it is not working.
          I would like to change my mobile with another one, bcoz all around the world it is giving problems, so sony should replace all the sets at free of cost.
          Else I will go to consumer forum. I request all the users to do so.

            i have taken one cell of sony ericsson on 18th feb 2012 after 6 month its got problem of speaker so submited for repair at Tardev commerce center mumbai-34 but issue was not resolve at that time so again we given to kalyan service center (Teknika Electronics) so after one month they are telling to us that "we dont hav parts of this model no., this is too much old piece & they are also not peeking up the phone No. what they have given to us.

            so what we need to do about this?

                Sony Electronics — fraud job

                i have received a mail mentioning job offer and while reading that mail they are asking for a security deposit of rs.8800 which can only be deposited in account not through cash or dd or cheque . it seems completely fraud because no company asks for any security deposits beware of frauds like this
                I too received this email asking for a deposit of Rs.8800.

                  Hi,

                  I bought a Sony Xperia Sola handset very recently in Mysore. I first had a Gingerbread OS and then Sony gave 1st ICS upgrade. I did the same.
                  Then started problems galore.

                  1. The battery drains out within 5 hours of charging even after changing to the settings suggested by Sony for battery improvement.
                  2. the moment I put the phone for charging, the touch becomes insensitive making it frustrating and difficult to type a single word.
                  3. The camera had bugs and the picture quality was drastically reduced.
                  4. The handsfree given by them does not have any noise reduction when on call. It actually increases the noise levels when on call using handsfree.
                  5. I had connectivity problems for my Data connection.

                  I kept bombarding them with repeated mails. But they kept giging me the same solutions of factory reset and if it is not working, to repair the OS using PC companion and even if that was not working to take it to the service center.

                  After this they released an upgrade for ICS which I am using now.

                  Except the camera, all the bugs remain the same. I have sent them numerous e-mails. But none of the bugs are fixed. I am frustrated and irritated. They are busy launching new phones. But they haven't been able to fix these bugs from the time they released the ICS upgrade.
                  Now they are leaving out Sola for the release of Jelly bean Upgrade stating that the configuration is not capable to run the jelly Bean OS though it is false.
                  Sola meets 100% requirement for running JB
                  sony saying it has less requirement (CPU and GPU are less).

                  Great fun is sony corp says JB is not suitable to port for sola hardware.
                  i[censored] take Tipo it can be accept that requirement is less even thoug some brilliant devleopers ported JB with 90% perfomance

                  At the same same sony employee was capable of porting to xperia J.
                  which implies that employee is Very much capable of porting JB to Xperia sola.

                  Pl. find the below reference for capablity of running JB in sola.

                  OS - Android OS, v2.3.4 (Gingerbread), v4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich), upgradable to v4.1 (Jelly Bean)

                  As Conclusion sola has 100% capable of running JB.

                  I paid an amount of Rs 19,000 for this phone. I ma not getting full customer satisfaction.

                    I had purchased a Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman mobile phone through rediff shopping (Order No.7451412). After two months the phone has appeared problems i.e lines on the screen. With these lines coming on the screen nothing is visible. The problem has been brought to the notice of Rediff. They have given the phone numbers of M/s. Circonia. Even on that phone numbers they are not answering. M/s. Sony Erricsson Service Centre has refused to repair the same within warranty. After communicating with M/s. Rediff on e-mails and toll free numbers they advised to send the phone to M/s. Circonia at Mumbai Address. In the meantime we have send photographs of faulty phone to rediff. Now they are (M/s. Circonia) is claiming that the display is broken and the same was informed to M/s. Rediff and sent back the phone without informing/writing a single line to us. M/s. Rediff has also not informed about the broken display even I was in touch with M/s. rediff on e-mail and toll-free number many times. Now they have informed that you have to pay the repair charges (i.e. approx. Rs.2000/-) for the set which is under warranty.

                      I have bought Sony Vaio E series VPCEH15EN,i-core-3 on Aug 2011,unfortunately within the warranty period the touch pad started malfunctioning,of course that was repaired.Then the charger gave up.And now when the standard warranty is over a vertical line has appreared on the screen ,whenI went to Sony service center(Manjula Towers,Kolkata),the female who attended my complain told me that it would take nearly 11/12,000 to get it done.Is sony manufacturing its laptops with a strategy that within warranty it would somehow work but once the warranty is over,the relationship will continue(?) with getting the gadget repaired every now and then.To my surprise i have more friends who ahve the similar issues with Sony vaio laptops.Nobody should buy sony laptops.

                        I Bought a sony ericsson xperia phone with IMEI No[protected] in april 2012. In October 2012 i had a a problem in network reception and earphones. i gave it for repair to STANDARD ELECTRONICS IN SECTOR 22 B CHANDIGARH. After i gave the phone earlier they said that will deliver i in an hour but it took them 3 days after that and they charged me 1250 rs for the same. within a month the problem reappeared in form of a disturbance and i got married and shifted to Delhi. when in January 2013 i went to them they said they dont provide any warranty for the replaced parts. they again charged me rs 800 this time and guaranteed that their wont be a problem anymore. however within a day the problem has reappeared. and when i called them to complaint the person misbehaved with me and kept on passing sarcastic comments. instead of beibg apologetic he started lecturing me and abusing me.

I HAVE ALREADY BEEN SHOWN MY PHONE EARLIER THEIR. THEY DO NOT REPAIR IT SUCCESFULLY THE TOTAL COST OF MY PHONE IS 16990.THE PROBLEM TO MY PHONE HAPPEND FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE AND IT DOESNT HAVE ANY PHYSICAL DAMAGE.ITS TOTALLY MANUFACTURING DEFECT SO I DEMAND TO REPLACE MY PHONE OR TO TREAT ME FAIRLY AND COMPANY GIVING ONE YEAR WARRANTY .....PLEASE LOOK OVER MY PROBLEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE MY PHONE NO.[protected]

                                i purchaged a sony vaio laptop model no. SVE15113ENB, BLACK COLOUR on oct 20 2012 from JAI COMPUTER , jabalpur.

                                since very first day the touch pad and key board are not working. i complained it to sony customer care center on[protected] and followed all the instructions .
                                but my problem was not resolved. then i went to authorized sony center in jabalpur located at yadav colony(10 km from my residence) and they kept my laptop for two days and called me for three times which troubled me a lot as i m a doctor and i have to leave my clinic for that.
                                but still my problem is not resolved completely and i am facing many other problems also.
                                i m help less and thinking to go in consumer court for a solution.

                                still not happy with laptop...everyday a new problem...why should one take sony vaio after spending a lot of money, why not to take another ...atleast daily problems will be solved...can your company replace my laptop

                                  I purchased xperia-U by Oct 2012, since the first week of purchase i face issues with my phone performance.
                                  Issue: Phone hangs quite often, restarts on its own, speaker/earphone goes off during call, display looks cracked when it hangs.

                                  I have given my phone for repair for about 8 times in which mother board was replaced twice but for absolutely no use.
                                  They just do software update claiming it would fix up the issue otherwise. The worst part is everytime service centre people hold my phone atleast for 10 days, and couple of times they held it for more than 3 weeks.

                                  So the customer care senior people said they would replace my phone if it does not work in their last repair.
                                  But now they again asking me to bear another repair and no response from service centre even after 15 days by now.

                                  Already 5 months of my warranty period is gone, it seems like after another 6 months they would end up saying that my phone would never be repaired or replaced as i lost my warranty.

                                  Why a customer should spend all 5 months running behind a service centre for problematic phone?

                                  Sony — No Response

                                  We are purchased the SONY Home Theater on 13/10/2010, Model No: DAVFZ900KW/CE12 (S-AIR) S.No: 6100301.
                                  Past 3 months Wireless Speaker Not working. We made the compliant to call centre[protected] three months back. After compliant next day the local service centre person called to us after that nobody came & not called to us till date. Meanwhile again we are made the same compliant to call centre[protected] last month. The Reference No: 5827975
                                  From local service centre person called to us, they assured within day they will come and rectify the fault. Till day nobody turned to us. Is this correct!!!!!!.....
                                  If customer support not giving properly!!!!!!!!!!!, how to sustain sale/prompt their product!!!!!!!!
                                  Regarding this matter we are enquired the show room CHANDRA ELECTRONICS, AMBATTUR, CHENNAI where we are purchased this system, they are telling. Simply they will come……, when????.
                                  They also response for sales & support!!!!!!!!!!.
                                  Who will be to take the necessary action for this………!!!!!!
                                  As per SONY maximum 4days for closing the compliant call. Now near about 4Months!!!!!@@@*****#####

                                        My name is Alok Bharat Dand and I had purchased Sony Ericsson Aspen M1i mobile in January 2011 in Sion, Mumbai from The Mobile Store. The mobile worked fine for more than a year and then the touch screen of the mobile started behaving weirdly. Since December 2012, the touch pad of the screen is not working. It is not able to locate where I am tapping or touching the screen. When I took this mobile to the authorized service center in Worli with some name Accel Limited. When I went over there, the staff was utter non-professional and least interested in helping. Moreover when I showed my mobile phone to them, they said that this is not being manufactured by Sony and is not repairable. When I said that why is this not repairable, they said that since Sony and Ericsson have got separated, the manufacturing of this device and its parts is not done. We still thought of giving it a try and told them to see if the part is available from some where. But then we thought of just leaving the place due to the attitude and service of the center. I dropped an email in the Sony's website about this and only thing I got in return is an automated response stating that I need to contact their support center or call center and seek help. Today when I called their support center, I got the same answer that they won't be able to repair it and I should be going to the local repairer and try my luck.

                                        If companies like these get separated, is it consumer's mistake ? I feel like I got cheated. First off all I wasn't going to buy Sony product as I used to always use Nokia. But I thought to give it a try and purchased it. But now the consequences are out and I feel sad about my decision. Such a reputed company like Sony Electronics is not able to resolve my small problem that too with their product. I am forced to say that due to all this, I won't be buying any of the Sony's products ever.

                                        SONY ERICSSON/ASPEN M1I — WORST SERVICE

                                        I HAVE BOUGHT A SONY ERICSSION (ASPEN/M1I)ON 16.2.2011 AT THAT DAY ITSELF THE MOBILE NOT GET SWITCH ON. AM COMPLAINED ON THAT DAY IN SERVICE CENTER THEY CHARGED THE BATTERY AND TOLD ITS WORKING. AFTER 1 MONTH THE MOBILE REACHES A SAME PROBLEM AM COMPLAINED TO SERVICE CENTER AFTER THEY TOLD IT HAS AN BOARD PROBLEM THEY SERVICE IT AND RETURNED TO ME AFTER 1 WEEK&THE SAME PROBLEM ACQUIRES AFTER 1 WEEK AND AM COMPLAINED TO SERVICE CENTERS SEVERAL TIMES BUT THEY DIDNT ACCEPTED AT LAST THEY ACCEPTED IT IS A BATTERY PROBLEM ON 17TH MARCH AND THEY REPLACED A VERY OLD BATTERY TO AFTER 1 MONTH(24.5.11).THIS BATTERY ALSO DAMAGED AND NOT WORKING PROPERLY.I HAVE BOUGHT MY MOBILE ON FEBRUARY BUT IT IS IN THE SERVICE CENTER MORE THAN 5O DAYS BUT STILL IS NOT IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION.
