Dear Sir/Madam,

From few days am facing an problem in my handset,
It's automatically goes to general mood when I receive a call even though I keep it to silent mood.

Am not using any android application to automatically change from silent mood to general mood.
This automatic changes made me embarrassed when I attend the classes.


Plz help me to finger out the problem.

    I bought Sony Home theater BDV-E490 on 31/12/12. The product is faulty and made complaint to Sony Customer care on 5th Jan. Today is 10th Jan, till now no one has come to service. I made phone call every day for the past 5 days, but no response. Not even 10 days of purchase, my 22k Bluray Home theater is switched off automatically after 15 minutes.

    I don't know why Sony is manufacturing such a Shi**y product, Just get out of my country if you can't wipe your own A**.

      i was buy a sony s-master dvd home theater before 6 years .now its not getting on .so i contact sony service (sony max electronics) in pondicherry . the check it and say there is problem with power circuit board problem and they kept for 2days for service. after i went ask him to condition about my dvd they told you have to change all circuit board and it cost 19000 Rs.(even they did not open the set) But the new home theater cost is 16000 Rs. what i do. the sony customer service is very bad . if we can"t able to repair the system why we need to buy the sony product so i did not buy the sony product, and also even recommend for it .
      Note:
      i was check with local electronic shop they check and say there is problem with a transistor BI L16 that was not available market.the transister cost is Maximum.100Rs. only

      So please think about the sony product before you buy it.

        I bought the above TV; full payment received by the dealer - with a promise that within 48 hours it will be commissioned. full money is paid. Sony knowingly separated the sale and services from one dealer - and the customer like me wait endlessly for getting the product commissioned. we go to exclusive dealers (Sony Center) of the product - and not the dealers who sell all brands and for the brand recognition, the customer is treated like this. Not acceptable - Sony in a way cheating the customers.

          Hi,

          I have bought Sony BRAVIA television KDL-40NX720 in Singapore SD1699 on April 15th 2012 and I was told that it had international warranty for one year. The screen started showing lines and now half the screen is blurred. A Sony authorized service center person visited and said the panel has to be replaced and would cost Rs 30000. I didn't have a warranty card and I showed the receipt of purchase which he had forwarded to Sony. Meanwhile I contacted the Sony Customer care also (Reference#[protected] and they had replied back saying the product does not have warranty and have to pay Rs 27762. If a product can fail in 6 months that too an high end TV, I don't know what to say. I had purchased Sony for its quality and I'm totally disappointed that they wont even offer help during the warranty period.

                I have purchased a Sony Xperia Tipo ST21i2 at 16/11/2012 that is till now I haven't completed 2 months. It is in silver color body dual sim.
                Now,
                In a very short period of time I am facing a very big problem that is Its silver color is going down white.Its a very serious issue I am facing .
                I want to replace my cellphone and want a cellphone with black body as soon as possible because I have paid a very big amount for it but company is not replacing it.

                  My mobile was working perfectly. But the back camera is not running since 1 month. When trying to run it shows, 'another application is running, please close it and start the camera'. But actually all application is closed. I don't know why it is not starting and each time i try,the same thing occurs. I've performed master reset,but the problem exists. Plz help me and do the necessary...                     I had given a customer feedback to Sony India - on FB on March 12, 2012; Details below ----

                    An honest customer feedback!
                    Sony India - pathetic products - and worse than that - after sales service. I had bought a music system in 1998 (Rs.25000/- - costly for that time) at that time - it never worked after 6 months and then every few months someone would come to repair it and charge loads of money - without fully repairing it or giving a guarantee of service. I did not buy any Sony product for the next - 12 years.... (in these years must have purchased electronics worth Rs. 20 lakh).... major loss of customer.......continued to buy LG and Samsung products only...then on insistence of family bought a Sony Home theatre - last year (for around Rs. 12700 - when the similar one for LG and Samsung was for around Rs.9000/- )........ which would not have run for even 50 hours since bought - not even still seen a movie on that...... and it has conked-off.......On putting in a service request - a person from some Sonus Services came - and said that he would not be able to repair this - and needed to be taken to service centre as this had some major problem (a relatively new system- 12-15 months old) - he also demanded a chq (visit charges) - in the name of Sonus - and not in the name of Sony (though I had called Sony) - I have dealt with many authorised service centres like LG, Eureka Forbes, etc. - all require a chq in the name of the company and not in unknown 'Service Centre' name - I refused the chq in that name and was willing to give the chq in Sony's name - but he refused....this all happened on 14 the Feb - but since then no body from Sony has ever contacted me - that you are an unsatisfied customer - with a damaged product at home - CAN WE HELP YOU!
                    This is the precise reason for the continuous falling market share of SONY and others gaining at their expense!
                    Very Poor SONY - you have FAILED!

                    Sony India - replied back on March 13, 2012:::: took some information and said that somebody will call you :::: nobody has
                    ever called since. This happened in Mumbai - now I have shifted to Bangalore (my Mumbai number still active) --- but still
                    waiting to hear from Sony people.

                      i would like to put in a complaint regarding the Sony xperia u that I purchased five months back of months back...The phone's touch pad has stopped working only left side screen but it is working other sides.. This quality standard is really appalling. I hope that the company will take cognizance of this and fix the phone ASAP...

                        We are having our consumer number 622428. After month of October we have got only 2 subsidized gas cylinders from HP Sony Gas Traders .
                        After October we received 1st gas cylinder on 29/10/2012.
                        We received 2nd gas cylinder on 27/11/2012.
                        but we received 3rd gas cylinder on date 31/12/2012 non-subsidizedly by paying 868 Rs which is not the right amount taken by us .
                        So please we want some information and inquiry regarding this.

                          Reg : Complaint about Sony’s poor television and service

                          I am a lady senior citizen of 81 years old. At my house I was having a BPL colour television for about 15 years, which was working excellently without giving me any trouble. At the most once in a year or so there used to be some minor repairs. On making the complaint the authorised service center personnel of BPL used to visit my house promptly and make the required service at very nominal charges and cost.

                          During the year 2010 on the recommendation of my brother’s son I had purchased a Sony Bravia EX 300 26 inches LCD colour television costing about Rs.29000/-. It shall be noted that the cost of similar type of television of other competitive manufacturers at that time was very less when compared to Sony. However my brother’s son insisted me to buy Sony informing that it is a quality product.

                          After purchasing the Sony TV, I gave my BPL TV to my housemaid. Even today the BPL TV is working fine at my maids house.

                          On 15th November 2012 the picture of my Sony TV went blank. I made a complaint for which Sony assured sending support personnel within 48 hours. Even after 48 hours they did not respond. After once again making the request they sent the service personnel after another 48 hours.

                          The service personnel who came to my house checked the TV and informed that there could be a motherboard problem. He also informed that it would cost about Rs.5000/- for me since the TV is not covered under warranty (more than one year had lapsed since purchase). I agreed to bear the cost with protest because I never expected that Sony would manufacture products with inferior quality, which needs to be replaced within a period of about one and half years. Further my usage was hardly about two hours a day. Further between September 2010 to April 2011 my house was locked since I have to undergo a knee operation. After operation I stayed at my brother’s house for recuperation. Hence during the above said period my Sony TV was not under constant usage.

                          The service personnel who came to my house said that he would bring a new motherboard next day and fix the same. The next day he came with a new motherboard, fixed the same and switch on the TV. But the TV did not work. The service personnel said that the problem is not with the motherboard and it is due to the LCD screen. He further said that the LCD screen had been worn out and the same needs to be replaced. He also said that the same would cost me about Rs.9000/-. I also agreed to bear the cost with strong protest as there is no way I could get out of this mess.

                          The service personnel also said that on me giving approval he would order for a new LCD screen and it would take one-week time to be delivered and fixed in my TV. He further said that the new LCD screen is not available in India and the same has to be ordered and brought in from Singapore. After about ten days time and after repeated phone calls the service personnel brought a new LCD screen. The same was fixed to my TV. To our surprise the TV did not work. The service personnel said that he has to take the entire TV to their office for checking.

                          Without giving any official receipt my entire TV alongwith LCD screen (new) was taken by the service personnel. Even after four to five days there was no communication or response from them. After repeated phone calls I was told that the brand new LCD screen brought in by them from Singapore was also not functioning and having a manufacturing defect (such is the quality of Sony). The Service center personnel said that they have placed order for fresh LCD screen, which has to be ferried once again from Singapore.

                          Inspite of repeated follow up over phone, email….etc till date (31st December 2012) Sony has not bothered to fix the problem and return back my TV in good working condition. Whenever I call them they simply say that they have ordered for new LCD screen and yet to receive the supply. It shall be noted that Sony has taken more than 45 days and till date (31.12.2012) they did not bother to provide me with good service and return back my TV in working condition.

                          Due to my knee operation I am confined to my home and I do not have any other entertainment other than watching TV for about two hours a day. That happiness is also taken away from me by Sony due to their indifferent attitude towards Indian customers and poor quality service. It has also caused much mental agony for me because I had spent so much of my hard earned money in buying the Sony TV.

                          Having seen my mental agony my brother’s son was forced to purchase a new television for me for Rs.45000/- on 26th December 2012. Since he has recommended Sony, he was very much upset, embarrassed and repeatedly apologized to me. He did not even took money from me to buy the new TV. He spent the money for the new television from his own pocket accepting his mistake for recommending an inferior quality Sony product.

                          I am now left in complete dark and wonder when Sony would return my TV duly repaired in good working condition. What guarantee Sony will provide for the repaired TV. How Sony is going to compensate me for lack of service for the past 45 days and forcing me to buy a new television costing about Rs.45000/-.
                          I also wish to ask the following queries to Sony

                          Ø How a much advertised television product of Sony claimed to be of high quality could get repaired within a period of two years.
                          Ø Inspite of selling 1000’s of TV’s in India, Why Sony does not have sufficient replacement parts as stock in India. Why they bring it from Singapore and indirectly force the customer to bear the shipment cost incurred for bringing it from Singapore to India.
                          Ø Why the replacement LCD screen brought in from Singapore failed to work. How it was certified by Sony Quality personnel for shipment and despatch at Sony factory?
                          Ø Why Sony’s service personnel or their customers service personnel did not bother to call me on their own and provide me with correct information.
                          Ø Why Sony is taking such a long time (more than 45 days) to simply repair a television. Is this the quality of service rendered by them.

                            I had submitted a sony xperia s, purchased on 16th november 2012, to accel frontline, a sony authorized service center, for range problem with my phone. They returned my phone, but the issues still persists. I had to give my phone for servicing two times till now, and they did not do anything. The service centre took 10 days to repair and even after the repair, the condition of the handset is the same. Kindly address the issue.

                              i have a problem with my laptop. i gave it in service center and they changed the OS. but within a week it started troubling me like i can't access internet in my laptop even i use any type of connection where as others are connecting to internet. i again consulted them but they are not so educated to solve the problems of this kind. please accept my complaint and make me get a better service

                                This is Ankit Singh an unfortunate customer of Sony Vaio, purchased on
                                November 4, 2012 (Model SVE 15123CNW, Serial No. 7005395) from Sandeep Marketing Uttam Nagar.

                                The web cam of Vaio is not working properly from the last one week. I
                                have complained many times to the customer care executives on
                                [protected]. The executives do not seem to have either the ability or
                                the spirit to listen to the problem of a customer. I followed all
                                their instructions but they could not solve my problem. Sometime they
                                disconnect the number without even listening to my problem. I have
                                never expected this kind of treatment from a Brand MNC Customer Care.
                                Following are some reference numbers they provided to me.

                                I have heard lots about Sony and its services. But when you expereince
                                something yourself, only then you realise the value of that product.

                                  I brought a new mobile handset of Sony Xperia on dasehara.
                                  Within 8 days having problems with display.
                                  Due to official problem not possible for me to show handset to service station.
                                  So I contacted service station on 10th day.
                                  At that time handsets having more problems as follows
                                  1. On display lines reflected
                                  2. Sim 1 network not available many times
                                  3. Network problem
                                  4. Net speed slow
                                  5. Sound problem like eco sound

                                  When I contacted service station I asked for pls provide me new handset but executive said that our policy is handset replace within 7 days.
                                  We will only repair it & your handset repair within 8 days.
                                  So I submit my handset but I not receive my handset within timeline.
                                  Now I received my handset but again few problems like net speed & network problem not resolved.

                                  My complete is if company not replace handset after 7 days then why not they repair it within 7 days.

                                    Problem - Once the handset is locked, it was not getting unlocked and had to restart the phone.

                                    I bought a new Sony Xperia Ray on 10th Nov 2012, When I used the cell, I was shocked to know that once I lock the cell phone, I was not able to unlock the cell.

                                    I went to Sony Service Center in Mumbai - Borivali(West) , SG Info. on 1st of Dec 2012. They took the handset and said we will inform you the problem shortly. I never received any call from either service center or customer care.
                                    Later I chased SG Info. and Sony help line[protected] multiple time ( Not less than 10 Calls and twice I visited the service center as the phone number which is provided is always busy) and the reply which I received always was " the display was a issue, they need to purchase the part and replace it". which took them 20 day and on 20th Dec 2012, I received a call that your handset is repaired and can be collected.

                                    On 21 Dec I went to the service center and found out that the handset was not repaired. They had changed the display and the camera, still the problem was still present.
                                    I returned the handset and he issued me a new ticket number ([protected] ) which was for changing of the mother board.

                                    I am trying to reach them since then but still I am not getting any confident answer of when I will be receiving my handset and I am not sure if after changing of Motherboard will my problem be resolved,

                                    Also I have some other questions,
                                    1. Does it really take 20 day to get part from the company. Even a small repair shop in my location will be able to get any part in less than 3 day.

                                    2. When the service center changed the part did they check if the problem is resolved? Since if they had then I am sure they would have known that it not repaired.

                                    3. When I visited the service center, there was one Customer who had a problem with Camera back in June (Don’t remember the Model). The phone was replaced. Now again the same problem had occurred, but to my surprise the service center is not ready to do anything as they say it now because of some liquid damage. This is a serious concern as I have so many problem with my cell ( The Screen has been replaced, Camera had been replaced and now motherboard.) and later if the same issue occurs, then?

                                    4. Isn’t it a responsibility of Sony Crevice Center to inform the customer what they are doing with the cell phone.

                                    5. Why do they have to issue a new ticket number, since now its showing in the system that I have submitted my handset on 21-Dec-2012 which is not correct.

                                      I have Purchased Brand New Sony Handset Xperia White bearing IMEI No.[protected] from Sales India Pvt. Ltd, Ahmedabad through Debit card on Dt.17/06/2012 through Payment of Rs.16500/-.
                                      There was some problem in the mobile handset in july and therefore I visited authorized service centre of Sony India Pvt. Ltd. For Mobile and stated that within very short span of one month my mobile handset with warranty is not working properly and thereafter they kept the said mobile handset with them for repairing .
                                      When I approached them to collect my mobile, the Service Centre official,in very rude manner,stated that the repairing is not covered under the warranty and if you want your Mobile Handset back than you have to sign Printed satisfactory Note first.Hence I had to sign the said printed form and mentioned that there is no physical external damage and also stated that I am not satisfied (Dt.26/07/2012 on work order Number sheet no.SE[protected])
                                      They have stated in their work order sheet that Problem reported: Crack In Display and Display Broken and the same is wrong description for internal defect of mobile handset to avoid repairing. They themselves have also mentioned on the same job sheet that “BODY NOT DAMAGE BUT DISPLAY DAMAGE”.
                                      Despite the handset being in warranty period the Service centre had not repaired the said Mobile under warranty and therefore the same is clear deficiency in service and negligence.
                                      I have purchased the said handset only on the name and goodwill of the company Sony but I am not satisfied with the service and defective handset which is not working within very short span of one month. I am suffering from mental agony and trauma due to rude behavior and defect found in very short span in the said mobile where there is no external damage. I have also taken report of Surveyor, Loss Assessors A. Dave & Co. and as per surveyor report also “based on our inspection, we opine that in absence of any physical damage to the handset whilst switching on the instrument it start malfunctioning on the screen. In our opinion, it might be due to defects occurred in any of the internal components..”.
                                      I had to use my relative's mobile handset for the said period and thereafter I have purchased brand new handset of Rs.8000 for my use.
                                      I had also approached Executives of Sony, Ahmedabad Mr. Varun Agarwal (Ph.-[protected]) & Mr. Alpesh (Ph.-[protected]). They were also convinced that there is no physical damage & also told us that they would forward the case further. But after that no action has been taken.
                                      So,Kindly look into the issue and replace the said Handset with brand New handset and with fresh warranty or with Brand New Handset of same price.

                                        I bought Sony Mobile model noW705 on 23.4.2010 in Trichy,Tamilnadu invoice no 88 shop name Fone Zone,41,Tabs Complex,Cantonment,Trichy-620001
                                        The said mobile become out of order 3 months back.
                                        I took the mobile to Authorized service center located in Thillainagar,Trichy
                                        They refused to accept the service.Reason they said that this model is obsolete one.
                                        I can not understand that I spent Rs10700/- But after 2 years it become out of order .Service center not accept to undertake service.
                                        He also refused to check and give certificate for it.But during Oct'12 when i go for replacement of headset for the same model they did not inform about the obsolete and sold me headset at Rs1000/- which is also become not usable now.
                                        I gave complaint on toll free number complaint id:94046534 dt 10.11.12
                                        Earlier I gave the complaint to call center on 25.10.2012
                                        So far no action or reply from end.
                                        Now today also I have contacted call center spoke to smt.Akansha at 9.13 hrs complaint no 94336489
                                        Sh also said that since it is obsolete model we wont take service.
                                        Please clarify
                                        1) Why it is not informed to me when I bought headset at Rs1000/-?
                                        2) Why it is not taken for checking and produce certificate about condition of mobile?
                                        3) Why asking to me thrown away after 2 years worth of Rs10700/-+1000/-?
                                        4) Is it my fault to become obsolete model after 2 years?
