Hi,


1 week back i have bought Sony Bravia 40HX750 and on the first day itself it started giving me trouble

the problem is a thin violet color Vertical line about 8" length is appearing on the TV
i have logged complaint with the sony and the service person who came to check told us that the Panel has to be replaced.
he has not even checked the problem and just by looking at the TV he told that panels is faulty and has to be replaced.

it is only one day used TV and this problem has come, now i get the doubt on SONY reliability and Service also as the service person seems does not have much knowledge and suggesting to replace the full panel without going into the depth of the problem.

TV is under warranty but still the service person is telling that they will charge us 2000 rupees for service charges and transport of spare parts.

is it true that they will charge service and transport charges even for under warranty TV.

they should replace the TV instead of only changing the panel as it is only one day used TV.

please someone help me, i think the service people are just cheating us..

    Dear Sir/ mam,

    I purchased a Sony Vaio laptop SVT1311ENS. Product key: 8069M-W3WRX- R3D48-H6T3Y-JMHTV-H1696081 almost 10months back. Suddenly the hard drive crashed and i had to make an important sheet and send it to a customer in Bangalore the very next day. Since i was looking for a speedy recovery i contacted the sales Center of Dwarka and they gave me the number of the Tilak Nagar service station.

    When i called the first time while talking the phone was canceled. The next time i called thinking the line got disconnected due to some reason. But the sales service guy said it is not a service Centre for laptop. When i asked for the number of service station for laptop he said "I don't know" and banged the phone on my face.

    Is this how service Centers provide services to people? Even the Sales Centre of dwarka do not know service Center numbers. Despite me living in Dwarka i had to give my laptop for servicing in Gurgaon.

    Kindly help in this matter so that others avoid have a bad experience.

      Dear Sir/Mam, I want to draw your attention towards this case that I bought sony xperia tipo ST21i in November 2012. Suddenly some days before I could see some lines on the screen of my phone both vertically and horizontally, later these lines started to occupy all the screen space and now I can barely see anything on my phone. I took the phone to the Authorised service centre and they told me we do not give warranty for physical, liquid and cosmetic damage. I want to bring this point in your kind notice that neither my phone was physically damaged (as it was never fallen) , its not a cosmetic damage as its of screen and nor it is liquid damage. This is not my fault and i want to get my phone repaired as its been just 6 months i bought it. And why should I spend Rs 1000 or 2000 to repair it.         To whom so ever it may concern. January 2013 i bpught SONY XPERIA MIRO in chennai, tamilnadu. My phone started hanging (RAMPDUMP, low/no voice, etc.,.) I gave it for repair on 22nd march at ACEL FRONTLINE, Greams Road, CHENNAI and till date i did not get any satisfying response from your company or the service centre. I'm very upset with your customer service and forced to share my one of the very bad experience with big companies like your as you claim so before making a customer buy your company product. Till now I've spoken yo MR. TRILOK, Mr. KUMAR and Mr. SIVARAMAKRISHNAN. Mr. KUMAR offered me to exchange my MIRO to XPERIA U and asked for additional 2000rs. When i rejected the offer because it was out of my budget he answered in a very uncaring way. He told me, "I'm telling for your good self only." For 6 long months I had thought good self for myself and bought SONY MIRO for Rs.13000 which was Rs.3000 more than my budget. I believing on SONY's quality and brand name extended my budget for Rs.3000. None of their representatives are replying or attending my call. Once Mr. TRILOK had put me on hold for 10MINS. from past two days my calls are kept on hold for 30MINS I'm very upset with their customer service. I need to leave for rajasthan on MAY 1st for my sister's marriage, being the reason why i bought this phone. For your information, Like him even I work and i cannot afford being on hold for such a long time. Please be kind enough to take my case seriously. Waiting for your VALUABLE reply as people say.

          Subject - Sony LED TV with Inbuilt Manufacturing Fault in TV Panel

          Dear Sir / Madam,

          I, Shirshendu Mondal purchased a Sony Bravia LED TV on 26th September 2011 from M/s. Sales Emporium Garia @ Rs. 53500, the model no is KDL-32-EX-720 serial no – 2423899-N against their invoice no-CR/03141/9/[protected] dated-26/09/2011, after 8 months running it started having trouble with LED as it's screen started showing one line on the left hand side towards the vertical axis and became unwatchable anything. I called up customer service on 3rd June 2012 explaining our ordeal everything – and finally a service person visited us and after inspection he told us - it's a TV panel problem and you have to replace it only (as Sony doesn't have repair policy) and they replaced it within 10-12 days from the complaint. But on being asked why this has happened / what is the problem with the Panel - we didn't get any proper answer or explanation, all he said that he cannot answer that but replacement is the only solution. But the same problem we facing from 10th April 2013 and now the running duration is only 10 month.

          I am gutted as Sony is supposedly the best and most expensive brand in the consumer durables market and this is SONY's latest technology.

          When we purchased this, it cost 53500 INR as per enclosed invoice but my question is had we procured it to invest the recurring money each & every year after year for repairing? Is this a Joke or what? How on earth a product from such a reputed company goes off in no time? I have completely lost my trust in SONY. This is just unacceptable and frustrating. I will definitely forbid my friends, colleagues & everybody in my family member I will ask them not to buy any SONY product as there is no reliability on it. If a person buys then they will have to invest a recurring cost to repair each & every year for the material.

          I am sure this kind of email must be very familiar to you as I have found so many stories on the net where loads of customers are facing the same TV panel problem. If you want I can forward you the links which I am sure will be a joy to read for the management team. Lastly - What a pain and distress Sony India is giving me n my family Bravo (If not Bravia).

          If it doesn't get sorted soon then I will be compelled to take the action as deemed fit. Hope you will arrange to replace the complete set without any further delay on free of cost.

          Sony — LED TV faulty

          I have purchased the Sony Bravia 32" LED TV KDL-32EX710 in Nov 2010 with a fact that Sony is the best TV available in the market, however sorry to say that within the six - seven month operation TV screen is not coming properly. on talking to the Seller the Rhythm house in Noida, they just forwarded the complaint to sony, and request for the change of TV was not entertained. After talking to Sony, they are putting pressure to change a card and on repetitive request not replacing the piece. I request to pl replace my LED TV, as although sony may change the component now, but the problem may come up again in future when there will not be any warranty also.

          Dear Sir / Madam,

          I bought a television model KDL-32EX650 LED TV vide tax invoice no[protected] dated 15.07.2012 amounting to Rs 43, 900/-, from Pantaloon Retail (India) Ltd, E-ZONE-PT-KOLKATA-SOUTH CITY, 375, Prince Anwar Shah Road, Kolkata, West Bengal 700068.

          Above set was under warranty for one year, which expired on 14.07.2013. But suddenly on 11.10.2014 there was some problem with the picture quality. I lodged a complaint with Sony India vide complaint no 21478306 dated 12.10.14, as usual process one engineer visited and communicated that there is no need to open the television set, as there is a fault in the panel and same need to be replaced. On hearing this I got shocked, as the set was just 2 years old and I had to spent almost Rs 44K to get it. How a product from company of such a repute can offer such expensive product which would last only for 2 years. On being asked to engineer why this has happened / what is the problem with the Panel - we didn't get any proper answer or explanation, than I insisted that was it due to any fault from our side, engineer confirmed that there is no issue from your end and all he said that he cannot answer anything but replacement is the only solution.

          On 17th of Oct'14 received a call for service centre stating that the cost of replacement of faulty panel would be Rs 14, 500/-.

          I am gutted as Sony is supposedly the best and most expensive brand in the consumer durables market and this is SONY's latest technology.

          When we purchased this, it cost 43900 INR, but how come such an expensive product go for toss in a span of 2 years? I have completely lost my trust in SONY. This is just unacceptable and frustrating. Whereas company spending crores of crores in advertising and making us fool.

          Would also like to know what action Sony is taking in my case.

            Stop horror show in daytime

            Please stop horror show during day time. It is so disturbing for kids.please stop showing add for serial like Anamika....plz plz this is so hard to explain but whole community here are keep complaining about those.

            Arrange some health show, kids show and horror show should be only on night time.

            This is Nagaraj from Bangalore Indiranagar.

            I had bought a Sony Xperia handset on Jan 1st of 2013. I was facing the problem of Echo sound issues while talking to people whenever they call me. What i noticed is that this problem is with most of the handsets sold by sony end users. And i you find the below reviews and problems faced by end users. Sony launched this handset at the price of 10300 after an year they slashed the rate to 9400 and now Sony has stopped the handset production because of the issues which it had. People like me who have bought the handsets still have a problem and Sony is not at all helping end users ot resolve the issues. I had been to Sony services center and they initially told me that they software which solve the problem. I said fine update the software and give it to me if it is solving the problem. I also come from hardware industry and when any hardware has a problem how will that issue be sorted by updating a software. I waited in Sony service center for 45 mins to update the software. after the update me and service center people tested it had similar problems and they suggested me to leave the handset for observation at their center which i did so. I get call from Sony next day evening that it has a problem with the PCB mother board and they will take 15 to 20 working days to replace and get it for me. But i will not get stand by phone until then. I said fine. Do it. But all of sudden one service center head comes not sure of his name and he checks the handset and confirms that it is fine. They do test by using my SIM card and their SIM card on that handset. I did call my wife and my office front desk to get a clarity if the sound is clear or not but of them confirmed they hear some disturbing noise while talking and walking as well. Which they deny the fact teh fact it is still fine.
            I have given them too many options to repay my money,I ahd paid money of 10300 but the current market price 9400. I an fine if i am getting 9400 also. Or else i am ready to buy any other Sony handset which of higher cost by paying some difference amount of money. I requested to them to get me a escalation point to talk to them and sort my issue but that also did not happen.

            Currently handset is with service center in Indiranagar Bangalore-ticket number is [protected].

            I am not sure how do i come out of this problem now and sort the issue.

            Request your help and support to either to get a cash back at current market price or a different handset.

              I have purchased Sony HT BDV E490sound systemfor Rs 24,000/- on[protected] from Bajaj Electronics (No E mail ID such a big dealer of the Great SONY), Kothapet, Hyderabad, AP. During my recent trip to USA, I have purchased some Blue ray DVD and other DVD. Unfortunatly in my so called SONY system (which I have paid Rs 24,000/-), I am not able to play the blue ray or other DVD which were bought from USA, on TVscreen I am getting Play back prohibited region code.
              I am having one more DVD of LG make (Rs 4000/- only) in which I am able to play the DVD except blue ray,which were bought from USA.
              At the time of purchase the sales man did not explain the type of CD or DVD that can be play by SONY or there was no any where in the invoice.
              You are requested to give me solution how to come out from this problem.
              Your Sony dealer did not disclosed the type of CD or DVD that are to be used. Now only SONY customer care informing to the customer. SONY cheating the customer by not disclosing the facts.
              Why should I spend Rs 24,000/- for this useless box. I am satisfied with Rs 4000/- LG make, which is playing the US DVD and not Blue ray, which is reasonable on the part of LG, because it is costing only Rs 4000/-. I can not expect more than this from LG make DVD. SONY has cheated me in this regard.
              I have requested them take back the system and give me latest version at different of cost or upgrade the software in my system.

                lost my android phone and done complain legally FIR. police failed to find my phone. so, i told to lock my IMEI no and police told me that we can not do that. so, i did e-mail to company and company replied me and told me to visit police. lastly i visited company’s Authorized showroom. and showroom owner told me i can lock IMEI only if i bought phone from his showroom only. i don’t know what should i do to lock my phone’s IMEI number. please help me please.

                  my mobile phone`s touch pad got damaged and i had given it at the sony service centre for repair on 22/3/2013 and i had been told that it would take 7 days for the repair and after 7 days when i asked for my phone they told that it would a further 3-4 days for the repair and after this due date when i enquired once again i had been told that it would again take a further extension period 5-7 days as the parts were not available at the nearest so the parts were to arrive from the head office located at chennai and when i enquired again today on 06/04/2013 they are again asking for a further extension till 25/04/2013
                  and i also asked for an alternate device for temporary purpose they further denied at it and now they are saying that the parts are to arrive from sweden, so demand an alternate device till my mobile phone gets repaired,and would like to receive it at the earliest.the details of my phone are given below

                    i have sony xperia miro mobile(IN WARRANTY),it become dead and i submitted it to sony centre at vadodara on 13th march,they replied me that you will recieve it within 10days,then after they told me that we have no parts of it and also company has no other xperia miro to give you,so choose another handset,i refuse to take another model so they told me that you will recieve your handset repaired within three days but ther are manipulating me and still on 5th april they are not giving my phone plz plz plz help me

                      SONY BRAVIA LED FLAT TV has two mounting options at home. The Internet and other connections to home network are only accessible from side and back side of the TV. When the TV is mounted on a wall it has very minimal options available and the use of DTH set-top boxes becomes a necessity. The company or its representatives do not tell you all this in advance. Since the TV's limited usage is available no compensation is made by the company for options which cannot be used if it is mounted on a flat wall inside a home.

                      I demand that such big companies should be asked to explain themselves and respect the local customer.

                      They should compensate for all the options which cannot be used.

                        we made a complaint to your call center, some one technician came and checked said that, pay 12, 000/- for repair at that time of 2010 July.
                        we are honest with you, we have not used LCD more than 8 months.
                        Cost of the repair is not affordable by customer. Even now we can buy new LED with reaper cost.
                        Sony should note that, to improve customer relations compromise the repair cost.

                        In future, no one buy the Sony Brands, if you behave like this arrogant attitude.

                        Customer is god said great "mahatma Gandhi". No company served without customer support.
                        Sony products performance is very poor.

                            I am a customer of Sony products since 2002 and i always prefer to buy Sony products as compare to other companies. I have bought one Sony xperia neo L phone(IMEI [protected]) just 8 months back and currently i am facing lot of problems in it. Its voice clarity is not good, it got hanged .The software of this phone got crashed two times from the date i have bought it and same problem still persist. Battery quality is very poor. This phone is not up to the levels of Sony products. Please help me to replace this phone with new one .

                              my phone is having too much bugs such as when we put the packet data there will be no responses from the phone!! it is because of the android 4.0 and too many problems.the phone is capable of running android 4.2 smoothly as it have a 1.5 ghz processor, 1gb ram etc!!
                              I think this is not a worthy purchase!!!
                              the xperia care told us that they will provide jellybean by march end!!!
                              but as it is april 1 there is no response from the company!!!
                              I purchased my sony experian in april 2013. I have had to use the one year warranty 3 times due to various issues with this android. 2 weeks after purchase, the phone literally died. It would not charge. After picking up the (refurbished) phone they gave me, the phone was laggy, would not respond to the touch features such as messaging, phone call, also it would disconnect in the middle of a conversation. 2 weeks passed and the phone again went back and this time they sent the phone to be replaced with another (refurbished) phone. Again there was significant lag time. I was not able to get the phone to go from messaging to make a call or even my contact list. Just 2 days ago I returned the phone for the 3rd time and am awaiting another...REFURBISHED phone. I am disgusted with this phone. Sony...GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER and when a customer has to return a phone 3x in 2 months the customer should have the choice to return the phone for another model. TOTALLY POOR PRODUCT

                                My name is J.Rupal and i am from Pune, Maharashtra. I bought sony xperia neo L few months back in 15500Rs. Seriously speaking now i regret why i had chosen this handset over htc desire x. I haven’t thought that a higher priced handset and that to of sony will be so poor in performance. It has 1 Ghz processor and 512 RAM but works like a 200Mhz processor and 50MB ram. So slow and hangs all the time. I was very impressed by the looks and clarity of the cell but more than that now i am very disappointed by the quality and performance of the cell. it is just a showpiece. Multitasking is so poor that when i open more than 2 apps it starts behaving abnormally - freezes, delayed operation and hangs so much. many times it gets switch off automatically and also sometimes makes call to the last number unknowingly. I am very disappointed and frustrated by it. Customer service centers respond like nuts on this and very less helpful. Different opinions by different stores and people on website. Sony - seriously unbelievably worst performance. I don’t know I got a faulty piece or whole range is like that.

                                  Sony VAIO — Laptop LCD screen

                                  My LCD screen of VAIO CS27GJ(model) started getting different colours line on bottom of the screen. The Sony service center executive told me i will get my screen in 4-5 days but i didn't get it. Then i again went to their office after 2 weeks and then they said i'll get my LCD in 10 days and today 10 days are over but still i haven't got any call from their office for my LCD.I hereby request you to accept my complaint and take strict action against them.

                                    i purchased a smart phone from bhopal 10 months back.It was a sony XPERIA U (ST25i) phone which i bought for about Rs 15,500.At the time of purchase i took the boxed piece home and opened it. I put the sim inside but the sim card didnt actually connected.As it was a new phone for me,i went back the very next day to the dealer and told him that the phone is not detecting my phone.He checked and found out that the SIM slot had a faulty pin that is used for sim detection.As it was a brand new phone he asked me to submit it back to them as they will further send it back to the service station at chennai and see what was wrong.After 4 days they realised that it was a manufacturing defect and so they replaced my phone and gave me a brand new one.I have been using that new phone from the past 10 months now. I never changed my sim card in these 10 months time as i stay in tamil nadu,away from my parents who live in bhopal.But recently i came back to bhopal and so i felt a need to change my sim card.I took the sim out and put the other one inside.But the phone didnt make any 'click' sound while sim insertion and i realised that something went wrong.So i left the sim inside the phone and didnt try to take it out as i was certain that it might break the sim pin.I came to the sony service centre in MP NAGAR bhopal and asked the concerned official to take my blocked sim out.He took it out himself and realised that the sim was properly inserted by me earlier.but still the sim pin got damaged.I asked the official that what should be done about the problem as my phone is not detecting any sim card that is being inserted.He said that 'it comes under physical damage and will not be covered under warranty.I[censored] want your phone fixed then you will have to pay Rs 7000+ as you will need a new mother board as this one is now damaged'..i asked him that the sim card was properly inserted and if still the pin gets damaged then it comes under a manufacturing defect and not under physical damage.The official guy told me that this matter is related to user tempering the phone and there is nothing we can do about this..what do you expect from the consumers?? they cant pay Rs 7000 for a phone priced Rs15000..!!! Its almost half the price of the phone.The service centre people are not ready to cooperate.They openly say that 'i[censored] feel like complaining,then go ahead'..What kind of business you call this? This is just a way to loot the consumer.If there is a manufacturing defect then the consumer shouldnt pay for it.please pay attention to this matter..
