Dear Sir,

I have bought brand new Sony ericcson C510 mobile in a well known mobile show "Mobile Store", as soon as i unwrapped the box i found the Brand new Cybershot C510 has bug in its camera.The image is not been captured properly and its simply dark.
when approached the store, they directed to the sony ericsson service centre for replacement, but the response given by the Sony service centre, Greams road, chennai was really bad.The service people tried to hide the fault of the mobile and convinced us .After genuine argument they agreed the fault but refused to replace it when the brand new mobile not even used has really serious problem.
We even contacted the customer service people who again tried to ignore us.
Please help me out in this issue for which i spent my one month salary to buy the product.

I have brought a brand new sony ericsson C510 and the moment it started working, i found a bug in the 3, 2 megapixel camera, The images are dark and becomes fade .is it a problem of camera or any problems in settings can anyone help me out ?
Rajoy I found the same problem with mine, the pictures taken indoors were always dark. Have you set it to flash? The problem with my c510 is that there is no display on screen at all at times but the buttons still work, i can make calls if I know the number to key in, also the phone freezes and goes all multi coloured on screen, or breaks up whatever display is on screen and even sometimes breaks up the display AND the previous screen I was on and is just a mess. Never works for more than 30 secs now
Dude, i am really frustrated with this gadget, i dont knw what to do with this, sometimes my phone's display will go multicoloured and do u get any option to zoom the pictures, i dont find any

    Dear Reader,
    This complain I am loging against the service given by one of the service centres of sony in bangalore.I purchased this laptop in Aug 2008.I was quiet happy with the performance of laptop.One day I felt some problem in my screen`s hinge and my left click was also not working, I went and told them problem, they noted down all the problem and then directly told me that this all physical damage and would not be counted as service free of charge and told that they will inform me.After one week when I called them then they told me that it would take one more day even they promised me for 3-4 working days.They corrected my left click problem but I was shocked to listen that they did not do anything for my hinge problem which was most important.They told me I don`t know but it would cost me[protected] Rs to correct this problem.
    I don`t know how can I correct my problem even its not my fault because if I open my laptop and use it and hinge get internal problem how can it become physical damage.
    I think they only threat customers by claiming physical damage.I think this is the strategy they are using to resolve any complain.
    I hope any top management would get this complain seriously and would correct my problem before I take any furthur step.
    I am hoping for positive results.

      I purchased Sony Ericsson Handset Model W3501 from Mobile Store, Ahmadabad.Within two weeks the handset started getting heated, the software started crashing.I handed over the handset to The Mobile store, which in turn sent it to Sony Ericsson service Center, Drive -in Road, Ahmadabad.

      I am yet to receive my handset back (even after 45 days) and they claim to have changed Mother Board thrice as it is crashing every time.Every time I call for the status, the answers I keep getting from executives are like"how do we know", "nothing can be done", "you can only wait" and such vague replies.When we call to ask for relevant official numbers, the service center refuses to give it saying those are private numbers and they will get back, which they never do.Twice I went to collect the handset when they told so, yet I was made to wait for over two hours. I still dont have my handset back.They are themselves accepting that the handset is "faulty".

      My IMEI/serial Number is [protected].My registered case number is 73503963.

      I want the relevant authorities to look into the matter as I do not want to approach the Consumer Court yet.

      As an educated Customer I am well aware of my rights and I dont understand how a Company of such an International Strature can employ such rude, tactless, underqualified people who are ill equipped to deal with customers and not even provide service on time.I am fed up of having to wait for more than a month and not even having a replacement yet.I am willing to upgrade to another new handset and pay the difference .Kindly look into the matter.

      Please do the needful by directing my complaint to the right persons.

      As a consumer, I am feeling cheated and am having to deal with Customer Care(less) Staff, who are saying that my handset will take at least 15 days more to come by courier from Chennai ...making me wonder if Sony Ericsson is resorting to delivery by Bullock Carts as a drastic measure of Global Cost Cutting.

      I would much rather go in for a Replacement or have my money back, as it is the company's responsibility to replace a faulty product under warranty.

      sony ericsson mobile G502 — i am facing problem within 7 days of my purchase company doesnot give any answere

      I found that the speaker of the phone and the ringer were faulty and not functioning properly and battery was getting dicharged very often say after 15 to20 minutes of talktime approximately, I visited the service centre on 21st August2009(Work order number: SE [protected]).I had to sit there and wait for two and half hours.

      Again within 2 days I found that batteryagain got drained out, I again visited the service centre on 24th August2009(Work order number: SE [protected]).I had to sit there and wait for more than 2 hours and I was told that battery has to be replaced so I should visit the centre at 5.30pm. Again I visited the service centre in the evening (Work order number: SE [protected]) . I wasted one and half hour again.
      I had also visited the dealer number of times.

      Again within 10 days I found that camera was not working , I again visited the service centre on 8th sept2009(Work order number: SE [protected]).I had to sit there and wait for more than 2 hours . My mobile was repaired and given back.

      I have wasted almost three to four days and lot of money behind this.

      Now on 9th sept 2009, again I found that camera was not working and battery was getting drained out. I again approched to the dealer and reported the fact, I had also gone to service centre and met Mr. Nilesh/Mr. AshishGoel , I was told that I had to keep my mobile for almost 15 to 20 days to get it repaired. I was shocked to listen to this. Also I cannot afford to keep my mobile close even for 5minutes. Also this mobile was purchased to replace 2 old mobiles in my company, Also it would not be fair to ask anybody to lend mobile for 20 days.

      I feel it is shameful on the part of company like sony to cheat and harass the customers in this manner.

      Iam using mobiles since 1997,I had some problems occassionaly, but this was simply horrible.

      I had also tried to talk to helpline nos.[protected] couple of times , there was sharp negligence and tone of irresponsibility in their language. I hope they have recorded the conversation.

      HAD IT BEEN IN ANY OTHER COUNTRY , SONY WOULD HAVE BEEN SUED AND FORCED TO PAY HUGE COMPENSATION

      I would request the company to take back the hand set and refund me the amount.

      I AM NOT ABLE TO START SBI MOBILE BANKING WITH k 790i
      I have also purchase G502 mobile in March 2009. But it is really a problem handset. My phone speaker was not sounding good. So I went to service center and repaired it. He said he has changed the speaker. But the very next day I again found it is not sounding properly. But the service center said, it is OK and the sound of the mobile is like wise only.
      Recently my mobile was dead. When I showed to the service center, they said it is liquid damaged i.e. damaged due to water entry. I explained them this has not happened, but inspite of convincing him, he didn't agreed to repair under warranty, saying that he is helpless. Means he is agreed verbally that this is due to moisure formation at charger point and gradually this has damaged the phone, but he said this is not under warranty. I was surprised to that, inspite of this being handset problem I was not provided with warranty. Moreover, the mobile is now irrepairable. I emailed Sony for this and also talked to there toll no. customer support, but he also said that if service center is refusing we are helpless. i requested him for giving contact of some technical person to whom I can talk from company and that we disagrees the service I will not complaint any more. But he didn't even gave that and just cancelled the phone. Such a rediculus service. I have decided, no more buying of Sony phones. I request all for the same as out of 10 probability of Sony phone being defect free is 2 only.

        Complaint:

        This cell phone has stopped working (completely dead) due to some reason. Now as the phone is under warranty I showed It to the Sony Ericsson service centre NIT Faridabad complaint no. mentioned above thereafter they called me up and said you will be charged Rs. 1500 for the repair of the phone stating the reason of damage : water, which really came to me as a shock and I had a long argument with them as to how can they say that its a water damage, I just cannot understand how can they fool us, I am very much aware of rules and regulation of warranty cover, and the fact is that I just picked my phone from my pocket & I found that it was off and It never turned back on .Now how in the world Is that the reason for water damage.
        Now I really feel cheated, now there was no reason for water damage, I feel these NIT Faridabad service centre guys have intentionally done this act of cheat to literally rob me of my hard earned money, and I simply wouldn’t tolerate this.
        Request:
        • kindly please respond to my complaint, an early action in the matter will be highly appreciated.& make sure I am not charged for the repair as I am not responsible for what ever damage these NIT Faridabad service centre people has done to my SONY ERICSSON set.

        • If not. Then I would be forced to escalate the matter to higher levels and at a suitable public platform.

          Subject: Complaint against Sony Ericson.

          Sir,

          I purchased one Sony Ericsson Mobile No. 7555 on 10.09.08 from Bobby Electronics, Sector -35. It started to give problem from first day itself .The speaker was not working. But we continued to use it for a week as the dealer did not have a second set to replace the one we had purchased. Then Bobby Electronics asked me to go Salora International Ltd. in Sec-34, They checked the set and asked me to come next day i.e. 19.09.08. They took the set from me and gave a DOA certificate on the basis of which the complainant was to collect the new set from Bobby Electronics. I kept on calling them and visiting for a week but I could not get the new set from them. I was asked to go to their dealer, Three Vee Enterprises in Sector-35 who asked us to come after 2 days . But they took four days to get the set.

          I took the set and surprisingly this was not accepting the memory card. The dealer asked us to go to Sector 34 office and get the software installed in the Mobile. But even after this it kept on giving problem—Sometimes with the Keys and sometimes with the screen. But I kept on using the set as because of my circumstances I needed the Mobile. In December ’08 this set fell down from the table and stopped working and its body cracked. I went to their office which had now shifted to sector 40 on 26th Dec ’08 and after waiting for two hours they checked my set and told me that the LCD screen and the outer body will have to be replaced. They gave me a receipt with complaint ID SESO8CHD24533 dated 26-12-08 and asked to collect the set after 8 days. They also told me that after checking the set they will give me an estimate of total amount that I will have to pay towards repair of the set. I received no phone call and contacted the office to ask for the estimate .I contacted the office again after 8 days when I was told that it will take another week as the parts of the phone were not available. I went to their office again after a week and they asked for another 3-4 days. Finally they gave the phone on 28-1-09 and I paid Rs.350.00.


          Now coming to the main points :-

          • The company promised to repair the LCD screen .It has not been done.
          • The body which was to be replaced has not been done .They used some solution like quick fix to repair the cracked body .Now the cracks have opened up again.
          • The speaker is not working. The key pad is not working .The phone is Dead again.

          I contacted the office again and was told that nothing can be done now and can do whatever I wanted to do .The behavior of the staff was very rude and threatening. The service was very, very poor. They did not even give me a stand by set so that I could use that till my set was repaired. The harassment I faced at the hands of the company is unimaginable. I have suffered Mentally, Physically and financially and therefore I wish to bring this to your kind notice for necessary action and solution to my complaint. My phone worth Rs. 5800/- is lying waste. I have not used the phone fully even for a month.

          Failing to receive a positive reply from your end will result in my approaching the Consumer Court

            this is not a phone complaint...and its about the sony erricsson service centre of calicut .CARE POINT shop near apsara theatre...i had never seen such a irresponsibled service centre... dear costumer please dont give ur good mobile phones to them...because it may be take 1year or 2year to ready the phone complaint...if they given back to you check thoroughly the handset ...there isan another complaint for it...so please think before u give ur set to them...

            this complaint against the sony ericsson service centre, ...is absolutly wrong... my phone repair with in two hour. I am satisfied with their service...
            This compaint is against the sony erricsson service centre of calicut .CARE POINT the staffs working there are irresponsible to there works so pls replace them.

              I purchased sony errison w 595 mobile 25day's back in poorvika permabur and now it is not working, it show's some network problem and the poorvika dealer asked me to go to sony show room and i went to sony service center perambur and i told the complaint and they replied me in stating that the mobile might have some board problem or software problem it will take 7 days to repair without proper checking how come i dont know with a month this problem am facing no proper response from the showroom dealer or the sony service center and again i went to poorvika showroom and they asked me to go to pursawalkam showroom.
              My Phone is in Warranty period
              This product is having lots of problem

                Allegation- Unsatisfactory Service by Sony Ericssion Service Centre (Technocare Lajpat Nagar)

                I bought my mobile model Sony Ericssion W580i from The Mobile Store on 11/1/2009. After nearly 4 Months on 24/4/2009 the noticed the headphones were not working properly due to a problem with headphone connector of the handset.
                Being in the warrantee period I approached the Sony Ericssion Service Centre (Lajpat Nagar). I submitted my mobile on 24/4/2009. The phone was repired and returned to me the next day i.e. on 25/4/2009.
                But the same problem occurred two weeks later, and I again submitted the phone on 8/5/2009. And when I retrieved my phone on 12/5/2009 I noticed a problem with the speaker. Even more, the phone completely shutoff the on same evening. From a small problem with headphone the mishandling by the people of the Service Centre had led to my phone being completely dead.
                Again, the next day, I took the phone to the Service Centre, that was on 13/5/2009, since then it has been a very negligent approach by the people of the Service Centre. Even after repeated visits and calls they keep forwarding the date of return bringing up new excuses.
                It is now nearing a month since I have been putting up with the incompetent and slack behavior. It seems they are not serious toward their customer’s grievances.
                I request you to kindly help me in getting my hand set repaired or replaced if it is not possible to repair this faulty set .

                My Sony Ericsson Handset (W850i) had just been stolen away while i was travelling by train.
                Considering the security and misusage of the phone, i have immediately blocked the Sim card.
                But can anybody tell me the procedure to block the phone through IMEI no. or something??
                So that it will be completely of no further use.
                Or plz. tell me if there is any other way..!

                Sony Ericsson W580i — Mishandling of Handset

                I purchased a Sony Ericson W580i phone (black body) from reliance digital outlet in Shipra mall, Noida.
                The phone's screen went wrong in between the warrantee period itself. I went to a Sony Ericson service center in Ghaziabad, and handed over my phone to them. They agreed to repair my phone.
                When I demanded my phone on the due date, they said that the phone isn’t been dispatched form Chennai and its been sent there to get repaired.
                And they demanded more time from me, I was repeatedly been fooled by their extended due dates.
                It was months and I was not able to get my phone back. Finally, once when I called they said that your set is ready and u can collect it now... But when i went there they presented a tampered set in silver color whose buttons were cracked and screen was scratched, they explained that the set's body has been exchanged by mistake but the phone is yours and you should accept it. I repeatedly denied their fact as even the IMEI number of the phone was changed.
                Then, I contacted Sony Ericson through Web and complained.
                Shortly my complaint was answered through emails as well as through telephone.
                I demanded a new handset from the company as my set was quite new and didn’t had even a scratch on it .They said that its not possible for them , they can only change the body of my cell phone with new one .
                Unwillingly, I agreed thinking that something is better than nothing and I was tired of the constant trauma I had to face in this run.
                When I went there to have my phone with the new body, they gave me a phone with cracked black body that too scratched .I was not at all satisfied with Sony Ericson's service and didn’t accepted the phone .Then I was not in a mental condition to fight back and get back what I deserve because of many family difficulties and financial difficulties I had to face and was not at all ready for being harassed and being fooled again
                It’s been almost a year.
                Now, it’s my question to everyone. Is there anything I can do after such a long period of time?

                I had submitted my mobile handset for repairy on Sep 18th 2010. The mobile was purchased on Jan 17th 2010 and hence is in warranty period.

                The mobile had got a fault that there was not text in/ picture in display.

                I submitted the mobile the CCOM Service Center Eternity Mall Thane.

                Work Order# SE310CS116902

                I am not getting satisfactory service from the service center and every time I call up to enquire about the mobile, I am informed that it is still not repaired.

                Upon their advice, I also logged a complaint through sony ericsson help desk around Nov 1st 2010, but to of no avail. I am following up with the help desk and every week I am given a response that the mobile is still under repairy.

                  This is regarding Sony Ericsson Customer Care and services provided by them. I have Sony Ericsson K550i mobile. This mobile belongs to Mr. Kaushal Kumar Roy. I have purchased this mobile before few months from Patna(Sri Sai Enterprises, South Gandhi Maidan Patna-800001 Mobile:-[protected]) and it is in the warranty period. By a month or so this instrument started creating problems. The keypad was not working properly. I submitted this mobile to near by service center at Patna. They said, that keypad is not working, and need to be change for the same.
                  I received back our cell phone on 24th of May2009. I found that the problem was not resolved properly and also sound problem is creating.Sound is very very poor.Again I asked them for the problem .The service center ruthlessly keep telling that we did not have speaker as if it were our job to get a speaker to get it replaced.

                  Then again the problem did not resolved.I again asked service center and now they are telling that it is working fine.It’s sound and volume is very very poor till time but they are not agree to it now they are saying only one line that it is ok..Today’s is 06 th June I don’t have our mobile in our hands working properly.In spite of my repeated oral complaints and your’s departments oral assurances no concrete action has been taken yet to solve this problem.I’m still finding the same problem .The warranty of my handset is expiring in near future.And it seems to be that they just want to waste the time, so that get some charge on my set as the warranty will get expired.

                  I would suggest and request to proper action on this. Ple let me know what I should do in this case awaiting your early and positively replay.

                  Sony Ericsson K550i — Service center

                  Hi,

                  I had purchased a k550i from Alfa Market Vileparle east. Only after a month the phone shut down completely. we tried recharging, removing & putting back battery etc. but was of no use. Ultimately we went to Andheri service center. Its almost 1 month & still we have not recd the phone. The reason they r saying is that the phone is send to the company.

                  I request the sony ericson officials to speed up the matter. If the set is not in a repairable condition, they same can be replced with a new set.

                  I had bought sony set at price of 7500/-f rom a store, after few week onward i have been facing n no of problems in my handset, call getting dropped, unmatured calls etc, no voice. i had given 4 times to sony service centre, kamanhalli and everytime he keeps it in saying monitoring waste my 3-4 days of time and give me back, got repaired, this time when i have given the set he is satying, sent to Chennai for card replacment but last 5 days i have been following up with him and very poor response.                   sony ericsson mobile k 550i — charge during warranty period

                  i purchased the above mentioned mobile phone from M/s ASCENTEL # 1038, Dr.Rajkumar road, Near planet honda showroom, 4th block rajajinagar, Bangalore-560 010. on 16th April 2008
                  Today as the mobile was not charging since there was a problem in the soft ware, i took it to the service centre located at the same place.After checking the instrument the service personnel informed me that the software is hanging and they need to clean the instrument with chemical since water has entered the instrument and then reload the software, for which they demanded RS.450/- as service charges which i have not accepted and brought back my instrument.
                  Since my instrument is still in the warranty period and my 30 mins stay in the service center i noticed that to almost all the customers they say the same story of water seepage and demand charges inspite of warranty period. This is totally unethical business practice from a reputed company like sony ericsson and i am sure that in future your existing customer will neither buy nor refer your product.
                  I would now request you to clarify regarding the same failing which i would approach the consumer court to hear my grievances and all legal expenses will be to your account.

                      With great pain and distress I am compelled to inform you that I was die hard fan of sony products, whenever I planned to purchase any electronic product without a second thought I have unequivocally chosen sony product irrespective of significant difference in cost comparative to other company products.

                      Friday, April 4, 2008, was special day for me as I planned to purchase a LCD TV. I went for recce and had confabulation with my friends regarding the models available in the market. It was myth only that in spite of significant difference in cost comparative to other company products I selected the SONY BRAVIO V series 26 inch KLV-26V300A model from Bhel Associates, 26 Rajpur Road Dehra Dun.

                      It was nothing short of sock and agony when service engineer of Sony India came for installation of LCD after five days, only after repeatedly calling service centre. Market is full of Heterogeneous models of LCD with competitive rates from reputed firms even though I paid extra bucks for purchasing Sony LCD because of quality and service of Sony for which its known world wide.

                      Exactly on the last day of warranty ie on Saturday, the 4th of april 2009 when I switched on my set nothing displayed on the screen I thought that some minor problem will be there, my LCD is a new one and above on it’s a SONY LCD TV. On the very same day I started searching local service centre phone number in the website http://www.sony.co.in/
                      and called them but no body picked up the phone, I thought it was 7 in the evening so centre might have closed for the day. Next day ie on Sunday 5th of april I again ranged repeatedly but no response has been given to me, then I took the address of service centre from the same website and tried to locate the place, but surprisingly, no sony service centre was there candidly it was like that some body has thrown me from hundreds of feets down. A esteemed company of sony stature is not updating the website periodically and hence creating hurdles for loyal customers of sony like me.

                      On Monday 6th of april 2009 I ranged repeatedly but I succeeded only at 10:30 AM and with the grace of almighty my complaint got registered, in spite of it, service engineer visited at 5:00 PM only, after primary investigation he informed me that it seems to be a big problem and the diagnoses is possible in the service centre only and instructed me to deliver the set in service centre. He also called for warranty card and got confused after seeing the different dates of purchasing and warranty in the warranty card written by the sony service engineer at the time of installation of LCD.

                      On 7th I handed over the set and on 9th I was informed that the LCD panel is not responding and hence is required to be replaced. I was also informed that the set is out of warranty but after listening my saga they agreed to put forth the case to the company itself for final decision. The unit has been handed over to me on the 29th of april 2009 after 24 days even though I am highly obliged for the sony India and service centre for rectifying my LCD free of cost.

                      Qualified service engineer of sony authorized service centre has explained me that the LCD panel which is the heart of TV is out of order. I am surprised that how can a normal young TV which has been used sparingly for less than one year can encounter a heart failure after passing through rigorous quality control and international standard adopted by the company.
                      The above stated revealed by me is the testimony that I have been abnegate by the quality of service and product which I deserved and moreover for which I have paid huge amount. It seems that the product which was having inbuilt manufacturing defect has been thrust on me.

                      I will be highly obliged if you kindly take the personal interest in the case and replace the product or refund the money incurred on the purchase of LCD TV and settle the case as soon as possible.

                      Nevertheless if the case is not settled amicably, I will be compelled to take the action as deemed fit.

                      I have also come across recently the attitude from customer cate centre (CCC). I purchased lcd tv just 2 months back. The connecting pin between dish & the tv got struck in the input of tv connection. CCC is now demanding huge money from me for rectification. This shows the attitude of the CCC.

                          I have Sony Ericsson K750i model phone. 6 months ago its disply was not working, so I repaired it in the authorised service centre Salora International Ernakulam, they replaced the display. Now the disply works some times and I gave the phone to the same service centre, they replied that its circuit board complaint, and they are going to stop this service centre so they cannot take this complaint. What can I do ?

                          My son has purchased and presented to me one SONY ERICSSON-K810i mobile hand set on[protected] at poorvika mobile world, Annanagar, Chennai-40.(Invoice No.9075 dated[protected]. The keys are working for the past 10 days and its life is only 4 months. When it has been taken to Salai Enterprises, Chennai-7 at 17.00 hrs on[protected], they told, Saturday only half a day, Come on Monday 10.00 O'clock. When Monday, they told the spares are not available, Pl go to ACCEL FRONT LINE SERVICES (P), LTD, 160 Greams Road, Chennai-600 006; they will immediately change it. Went there to day the[protected] at 09.45hrs, token no.17, my turn has come only at 10-45 hrs. Very, very slow in taking the complaint and the system of working is very ugly and I got the customer acknowledgement copy after 20 minutes ie at 11-05 hrs and that too after raising my voice. To replace the silicon pad, they told it my turn will take a minimum period of 2 to 3 days because already a lot more peoples are waiting for their sets to have attended.
                          I don't know who is to blame / correct ?

                          1. Either the Salai Enterprises, Chennai-7 for their irresponsible response of non availability of spares in the authorised centre simply diverting me to go to some other service centre to rectify it by escaping from their responsibility to avoid the customer
                          or
                          2. ACCEL FRONT LINE SERVICES (P), LTD, 160 Greams Road, Chennai-600 006 for taking more than one and half hour for registering the small and simple complaint to be set right on the spot, but dodging and responding in a poor way by making the customer in dark by saying “It requires more than 2 to 3 days to rectify it sir.” and Is it correct on their part?
                          or
                          3. The SONY ERICSSON company for selling this type of poor and substandard quality of mobile hand sets specially to “INDIAN CUSTOMERS” through the above two type of authorised dealers / service centers.
                          Or
                          4.The poor customer who has purchased the latest Sony Ericsson k-810i thinking that it is one of the best in the world but now only knows that why I have bought this type of substandard item from the World famous concern without arranging or having quality service centre. I personally feel that I was cheated by both money as well as time. Will SONY ERICSSON replace these two item ? Will they take any action to rectify these measures?
                          MORAL: DON’T BUY ANY SONY ERICSSON PRODUCT SINCE THEY ARE NOT SELLING QUALITY PRODUCTS AND THERE IS NO QUALITY AFTER SALE SERVICE
                          I also have a very similar experience with Sony Ericsson Product Quality and their authorised service center "ACCEL FRONT LINE SERVICES (P), LTD", 160 Greams Road, Chennai-600 006.
                          In my case it is on payment basis and not on Warrenty - even getting the same treatment.
                          Apart from taking more than one and half hour for registering and responding in a intensional negligent way to make customers not to come to them for services “They said will take 2 to 3 days to rectify it"
                          Now even after 21 days, they are telling that out of 5 spares, have received only 4 parts and waiting for the balance spare (silicon pad) to start the repair. I wonder when I will get back my mobile to start using it.
                          The MORAL is Rightly said: DON’T BUY ANY SONY ERICSSON PRODUCT "in and arround Chennai" SINCE THEY ARE NOT SELLING QUALITY PRODUCTS AND THERE IS NO QUALITY AFTER SALE SERVICE
                          I had given my W580i mobile for repair to Sony Ericsson service center in Greams Road, Ground floor, thiru building, Chennai.In a span on 1 year this is the 2nd time i had given it for a repair.I had given it on october 3rd and the very next day got a call from them saying that it would take abt INR 1500 to repair the set.I said am ready to pay.Today(05.11.2009) when my dad had gone to get back the mobile they have given back the mobile saying THEY CANT REPAIR.. If these people cannot get it done should have informed me earlier so that i would find a better shop.

                          If I could ever find out the manager of this service center i would give him a nice shot for what they have done.1 month i had been waiting to get back a message from them and this is what i finally got.This is the worst experience of my Lifetime. I am a infoscion and i would make sure that no one else buys any product of Sony Ericsson.

                          For poor service, this company for sure is doomed.

                            At the outset, I am much intested in using SONY branded products. I purchased Sony handycam Model DCR-TRV140E during 2001. I sparingly use the handycam. The life of lithiam battery was very short and very frrequently i had to recharge. within 6 months, the battery is not storing the charge and immediately releases it. I could not get the battery for this model in chennai. Hence it became useless within 2 years because of the poor quality of battery and its non availability . I purchased for more than Rs30k i did not expect that this product would become waste in 2.5 years. Similary i purchased music system by ur authorised dealer Subhshree in G.N Chetty Road, T.Nagar.Chennai 17 in the month of Oct 06.
                            From the day 1, the sound system gone out and their servicemen's poor handing/servicing, it further aggrevated. I never expected that these two products costing more than Rs.45k would soon be get repaired.

                            INFACT I AM FOND OF SONY PRODUCTS AND AFTER SEEING THESE PROBLEMS, I CHANGED MY MIND . I NEVER PURCHASE SONY PRODUCTS AND ALSO SUGGEST MY FRIENDS/RELATIVES TO GO AWAY FROM SONY PRODUCTS. I WOULD DEFENITELY REVIEW MY OPINION WHEN SONY TAKES POSITIVE STEPS.

                                I am using a Sony Ericsson w200i phone
                                I am also getting the same error ''cipering not provided by operator insecure transmission' and i am using the hanset Sony Erricson Z520i.. But for me the error comes when i am use Tata Docomo prepaid SIM and not with the other operators like i had used Vodafone, Airtel..

                                I am using a Sony Ericsson w500i phone.
                                It is because you are using a very old SIM card whereas the phone software is new which requires ciphering. You can check using another SIM card and you might not see this error.

                                Buy a new SIM card and ask your n/w operator to put your old number on to your new sim car.

                                Remember dont send any passwords or dont do any financial transactions with that SIM which says ciphering not provided.

                                  Seeing an email that says “Forwarding this xxx times or to as many of your contacts as possible and getting something in return” is not new to most o[censored]s. So far 99% of these times of emails that I got are either nonsens, spam, or scam.

                                  Like this alleged Free Laptop offer from Sony Ericsson.



                                  Says here that Sony Ericsson is gibing away a free Ericson T18 or Ericsson R320 laptop.


                                  Ericsson are distributing free laptops for their brand promotion. They hope to increase their popularity and sale by this campaign. All you need to do is send an email about this to 8 people and you will receive an Ericsson T18 Laptop.

                                  However, if you send an email about this to 20 or more people, you will receive an Ericsson R320 Laptop Make sure you send a copy of your email to: anna.[protected]@ericsson.com”

                                  First of all, the T18 is a Cellphone and not a laptop. Ericsson or Sony Ericsson has not yet released a T18 laptop. Or maybe they did in another planet.

                                  Next, I haven’t heard of a ericsson r320 laptop released by Ericsson or SE.

                                  There’s another version circulating on the internet with this initial line “ The Ericsson Company is distributing free computer Lap-tops in an attempt to match Nokia that has already done so.” Well, Nokia has not yet offered free laptops.. or i think i haven’t received any Hoax emails to that effect.

                                  So dear readers, i hope you don’t get fooled with this one. Its a waste of time.

                                    I got sms from 55888 that " bid to win 81 cm SIony Bravio lcd tv ( model : klv-32s400a). bid smal and unique to win lcd. sms bid to 55888. winner will be decalred on 18 th may 2009". I have made successful bid however, . results have not ben declared. Further there is no process to contact the concerned persons. I am feeling cheated by Sony company.

                                      Hello There,

                                      Myself Vaibhav Sinha had given my Sony Camera to be reparied at the Sony Service Center at RT Nagar, around the month of October'08. I was told that the problem was in the lens assembly but since I had only got it serviced from another Sony service center from 100ft Road, Indira Nagar, I was not satisfied with the diagnosis. Hence I asked them to hold the repair until I come and collect it back. Since I was travelling, I could not visit the shop.

                                      After a week I was informed by Mr. Padmanabha, the owner of the center, that the camera has been stolen. Obviously he sounded worried and I sympathetically replied to him that I would wait patiently for an amicable solution. I was promised that I would soon be replaced with a new working camera from Sony.

                                      Since then I have had to literally follow up with Mr. Padmanabha almost every week / fortnight to ask when are they going to give me a camera, only to hear a possibility of a solution just round the corner. The solution never came. Mr. Bhaskar from Sony India was also involved but he also was not prompt and proactive enough to provide me a solution.

                                      In the span of more than six months since then, I had a baby and I had to buy a new camera.

                                      Therefore now, I want the company to provide me with the compensation of harrowing me for so many months, making me run to their office almost every week never to find Mr. Padmanabha and for breaching the trust of me as a consumer that I most sympathetically bestowed on them after the alleged 'theft'. They should also pay me the cost of my lost camera at the earliest, now that they have slept over the issue for over 6 months.

                                      I hope and believe that the consumer forum would help me get a reasonable solution. I have acted with utmost benevolence and patience with the company only to end up as being cheated and hoping that the forum would help restoring the same in me.

                                        Being a SONY Erricson loyalist I purchased a W580i on 09 Sep.2008.

                                        The phone went all blank on 27-Mar-09 & subsequently was sent for repairs the next day to RT FARIDABAD FORTUNE MOBILES(SEIN) in Faridabad. After repeat follow-ups the phone was finally handed back to us on 16-Apr-09.

                                        Since I was not in town the phone was collected by my brother (They informed that the mother board has been changed). However on my return I realized that the phone was still not working.

                                        I again sent it for repair to RT FARIDABAD FORTUNE MOBILES(SEIN) on 2nd May-09 however this time they refused to take it saying that their tie-up with the company does not stand any more & directed us to RT FARIDABAD MOBILE VISION(SEIN).


                                        Here we were told that this is a small problem and we can get the phone on 04 May 2009.

                                        The next day when we went to collect the phone they said that it is still not working & we can collect it the next day.

                                        This cycle kept repeating itself for the next 15 days wherein we were given false promises and we went at least 7 times to collect the phone without sucess.

                                        Thereafter we contacted the customer care under complain no. SC1360_7105. We were informed by the customer care that the phone would be made available to me within 48 hrs.
                                        I was also informed by the service center that every single part of the phone has been replaced but due to faulty parts the phone is still not working.


                                        It’s a shame that 3 customer care executives disconnected my call when I reminded them of Sony Erricson promises and asked them to connect me to their Manager on 23-May-09.

                                        I have even tried to contact Mr. Neeraj ([protected]) who promised to get back to me with prompt action needless to say nothing happened.

                                        I tried contacting Mr. Nitin Arora (no. provided by Neeraj) who looks after service for Delhi NCR but could not connect up even after 20 odd calls.
