Hi Team,
Sterling marketing team literally cheated me to avail membership at the time of visiting sterling kodai resort. Basic plan 3lakh 49 thousand they said and received immediately from me 1 lakh 97 thousand for membership through my credit card. After made the payment they are not providing membership ID /booking rooms - some website issue and delayed each and every time buying time from me. I reviewed all the incident happened in sterling Holidays resort and asked to refund my deposit amount. They nearly 2 months nothing happened, and now their team head saying refund will provide after deduction. And threating like you have to pay balance amount or else will refund very less amount (not mentioned the amount too).
Every time they need 2 days time or 4 days time to reply but nothing will happened, Simply providing false statement and changing guys frequently and if i asked they are in leave. How to get my hardly earned money from these cheaters.

    Booking No. : [protected] check-in date[protected], and check-out date[protected].

    Had booked on 14th July 2021 and then cancelled it after 5 mins. As per the terms laid out to me, full amount should be refunded to me if cancelled before 15th July 2021. Wrote for a refund of the money, thereafter received a mail from Sterling Puri that they will issue voucher of same amount, which I declined and asked them for a complete refund as per their terms and conditions, have written multiple times to them, they do not respond and have not received the refund till date.

      I had reserved few rooms in Sterling yelagiri from 29th April till 1st May 2023. The booking was made on 16th April and paid an advance of Rs.36, 000/- to confirm the reservation.

      Later on 18th April I had requested to cancel this booking due to Medical Emergency that one of our family member was Hospitalized for an immediate surgery. Ramachandran, who was the First point of contact for this entire booking had understood the situation and confirmed that the booking has been cancelled as per request and secured the approvals for the FULL REFUND considering my situation.

      Ramachandra & Sukesh had confirmed that the Approvals had been taken up with MD & Accounts team for the Full Refund. Yet, its been more than a month the Refund is still not complete.

      I would appreciate if this could be resolved and my refund is processed ASAP.

        We made a booking which was tentative and seeing the T&Cs which mentioned that the booking can be cancelled 48 hours prior to checking.
        However within booking in an hour, our plan changed and we reached out to customer care support, there was no response on the IVR. WE MADE ATLEAST 10 attempts.
        Then after we checked on the website which showed a manage booking option, on entering the booking ID and selecting cancel- there was nothing being displayed. Post cancelling, the message loaded that entire amount has been deducted!!!
        We again reached out to customer care but nobody picked on 3 June ( same day as booking).
        We wrote emails and got no response on them.
        It’s 4th June today and customer care is again not picking and still not received any reply on email.
        As per their website their business hours are open currently.
        Please help with the refund its our hard earned money!!!

          I have recently tried to book for sterling Panchgani for august month but could not book from website though it was mentioned booking open. Then I called customer care and I came to know booking not open for member only open for non member. They are charging large amount of money for membership and ASF as well and booking priority are giving to non member. Really they are cheater
          Moreover, they have open new rule that in weekend booking they are charging for three night even E booking made for 1 or 2 night. At the time of taking membership this rule was not there. This is also second cheat to member
          Also, previously blue season member could book room in red season as well by giving red season point but now they changed rule and mentioned blue season member can not book in red season. This is also cheating with member
          In many of resort they have tie up property. Food is mendatory to get in the resort by paying advance money if any one want to book in tie up resort. Even after paying huge amount of money service snd food quality getting in poor condition and not up to the mark. By this way they are taking huge amount of money from member and giving more services to non member even in cheaper rate. By this they are again cheat with member.
          All the time member try to book but not getting space in desired dates and non member are getting even a week before. So taking money from members and giving services to non members
          Also in covid situation no body were able to travel and sterling all resorts were closed as well around a more than year but they did not extend any nights or points for one extra year than the normal year. How came they did not extend any extra year as government given a lock down? This is also cheating with member

          Plz be help me out in this case as I have spent large amont of hard earned money on this.I want my hard earned money back and justice against sterling holidays

            I went for a vacation to Ooty Sterling ELK where I got two members of Sterling who offered me the membership for 25 years for which I was asked to pay 3.30 Lacs. I swiped Rs 1.92 Lacs over there & I paid a 1-month installment of Rs 11.500. I haven't availed the services a single time.

            Now my father-in-law is not well & the family needs money. When I canceled the membership I got a call from Sterling & the agent asking to share the medical report. My in-law's family is in mental trauma & I am not in a position to share the documents with them. I have canceled the membership. I want my money back. But the agent is saying you will not get a single penny.

            I have sent an email and tried to get the refund amount as stated in the T&C. But they are saying if you will not produce the medical report you will not be paid any amount.

            Hence, I am posting the issue in this forum hoping to get it resolved soon. I want the eligible full refund for my membership amount paid.

              I had booked 2 day accommodation at Sterling Thekkady between April 30th and May 2nd.
              My booking was confirmed and the payment from my card was deducted on 28th April, I received an confirmation message from Sterling. I called up the front desk on 28th April 3:29 PM and the person confirmed my booking.
              On 29th Night at 9 PM when I was already on my travel to Thekkady enroute Madurai I get a message from Sterling that my booking is cancelled.
              With almost 15 calls I reached out to them and I was given various reasons like payment not received/ there is an error in system/ I cancelled it which were not true. The manager of the resort could not be found and finally got his number and whatsapp'ed my problem. Mr. Anil Kumar read all my messages and payment screenshots and did not even care to respond. So I can least expect any courteous behaviour from his team.

              Its 4 days since this whole issue happened and I tweeted to their twitter handle but there has been no response again.
              Sterling messed up my entire vacation, I was stranded at Madurai without knowing where to head to. My travel ticket and the cab which i had booked everything had gone waste due to this careless/ irresponsible management of Sterling Thekkady. Never expected this behaviour from a reputed organization.
              Now I want to know when will the refund happen? Where is my money.
              Due to this my travel ticket to madurai of 20, 000 and Gozo cab (non refundable booking) 1800 is wasted. I know sterling would never take responsibility of these losses but atleast ethically I expect the refund for my booking which was cancelled by them.

                Today morning i have received a SMS stating that "Alert!HDFC Bank Mandate reference no: HDFC[protected] issued to STERLING HOLIDAYS RESORTS LTD with value Rs. 15933.00 and frequency ADHO is received today for processing."

                this is totally a fraud case where the cheque was issued for STERLING Membership only and they have used it somewhere else.

                kindly help in resolving at the earliest.

                  I am a member of Sterling Resorts and I stayed in their Fern Hill, Ooty resorts for the last 3 days with my family. In this stay, I experienced different types of hospitality that made some bad patches in my heart. The reception staff Mr. Ajith and Mr. Praveen showed me a stingy attitude and didn't even be respectful. They are not even able to hand over my id cards and phone properly. Front office manager lady showed some disrespectful activities by ignoring me as a customer and didn't even consider my concern. Also they were not kind enough to give me a laundry bag by saying stock not available. When I elevated the issue to the resort manager, the bags came immediately. Their marketing team is asking for upgradation and I doubt is this the real face of the company? What to do?

                    I canceled my booking NMWCOR[protected]. There are no cancellation charges as mentioned in the package. It's been 5 days and still, I am following up for a full refund of INR 15599. I tried reaching them over the phone call but no one is picking it up (Ph: [protected]). I send them multiple emails but they are not responding to emails as well.

                      We made a reservation at Sterling Arunai Anantha resort for stay from December 9 - December 11 (2022). We cancelled this reservation on October 30. We got a cancellation email the same day.
                      Till now we haven’t received a refund and we are unable to contact anyone from Sterling team. We enquirer about the refund via email and no response to the email. They promised to respond to the email within a day and even after 4 days there is no response.This is so annoying.

                      I’m not sure if this is a legit company.

                        I am persistently asked to pay aac charges through sms and emails. This is in complete contravention to the agreement clause 5.3 & 5.4 wherein it clearly states that the charges are to be paid for utilising amenities, electricity and water while enjoying the benefits of the holiday units.
                        I was conned into paying these charges in october 2021 for an amount of rs.3583=00.
                        Kindly help to recover the said amount collected fraudulently from me by a irritating customer executive who hounded me into submission.
                        I would be highly appreciative of a positive outcome and getting the monkey off my back, once and for all till my membership expires in the year 2029.

They have not stopped their extortion tactics inspite of me asking them to terminate my membership on umpteenth occasion since last 2 years to get rid of this nuisance but to no avail.

                          Made a reservation on 10th September 2022 at Sterling Kodai Lake for the date 17/09/2022 to 18/09/2022(1 night) . Within sometime got to know I cannot travel on that date so cancelled my reservation immediately within an hour. It is clearly mentioned in the cancellation policy that cancellation made upto 48 hours prior to the checkin date can get full refund. This cancellation was done within matter of hours. Also, while cancelling it showed I am eligible for full refund but in the booking cancelled confirmation mail I don’t see when I can expect the refund. Requesting you to update me on when I can expect the refund

                            Membership Id: 1238741. i have been visited sterling lonavala between 03/09/22 to 05/09/22 with my family.
                            firstly, i must say the food was terrific. i have planned for 2 breakfast and 2 dinner at site but i gave taken only 1 breakfast and dinner. because the food quality was not up to the mark. in dinner mix veg was terrific. also tandoori roti served was cold and hard to eat. on too of this, i have ordered for nan and specially told to waiter that plz i need sift nan because it is for child. after the instruction he came with cryspy nan. it is really disapponting moment for me. also, in desert they served saivaiya khir. in the desert milk was burned. even we recognize by the smell itself. so, how come the chef serve this type of desert???

                            secondly, in the next morning i went for breakfast with family. same thing repeatedly happened to me. the sambhar was salty. the cut fruits was oweful. they cut it from erly morning and not maintaining, so cut fruits tase was terrific. moreover, services by waiter was not well.

                            because of all this reason i have not taken meal combo for second day. i have not get value for my money. my money on the food in sterling lonavala is totaly wasted. this is really shameful for such big hospitality company like stearling. because of one resort of sterling other site has to come in bad rating. after all sterling is one family of resorts.

                            also i need compensation of my money that was taken up by sterling lonavala restaurant.

                              I am purpl member of sterling.
                              Have booked a suit room for last new year at sterling munnar as per my earned points.
                              But they provided an unhygienic small room.
                              They may sold suit room for some other person when they got a non member for higher rate.
                              The refrigerator was full of fungus inside. I have the photos and videos with me.
                              Front office was terrible with non polite staffs.
                              They are speaking with out eye contact.
                              Actually they spoiled my vacation.

                                  I have opted for 10 yr membership on 25 July 2022 but now I changed my mind and want to cancel it and want full refund. I have contacted them many times but the only one calling is Puneet Kumar who provided me membership not sterling and he's saying take membership or else they will not give any refunds. They have provided me membership costing 239000 with down payment of Rs 119500 and rest on EMI basis. Pl help me out.

                                    I purchased a membership no 218741 of Sterlingholidays in 2004, when I tried to book a holiday for the first time in July 2022, I was told by customer service that my membership has been terminated in December 2021 because it remained Dormant due non usage and pending charges .
                                    I requested them I am ready to pay whatever is due but in spite of repeated mails, an automated mail is sent .
                                    I got retired in February this year and wanted to start enjoying holidays but am deprived . My membership is valid till the year 2050 .
                                    Kindly help in reactivating my membership .

                                        I purchased Sterling membership in month of Dec 2021 from Jaydeep Rathod & Satyendra in Mount Abu on down payment of Rs. 46, 000/- Membership ID - VNT1245706. After that due to some medical emergency the same was to been cancelled from my side (with in 60 days as per Policy) and I have share a email stating the same still they have deducted a sum of amount Rs. 36, 000/- as a cancellation fees. The matter continued to be escalate and finally there was settlement of only Rs. 10, 000/- which was to be refunded to me. As per mail commitment the amount was to be credited on 20th Apr 2022 but still it is being delayed for one month i.e. 20th May 2022 and I m not sure even if the same will be credited or again passed on to next month as per their policy 60th day the refund is to be provided but there is only new commitments provided.
                                        Sterling Holidays Resorts customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
