Sir/Madam,

I am using TNEB subscription for power connection to my home. In recent days there are frequent power cuts and unregulated voltage comes in the supply. During the 10 July midnight there is a huge surge in the power supply which caused issues in the AC stabilizers, inverter and chimney in my home to burn out. This should not be happening in the domestic lines as it may lead to fire issues or it could be fatal for human lives that happened in mid night if it's not regulated properly. I am seeking proper resolution from TNEB and has to compensate the personal loss occured due to the mistake.

    I recently purchased house in avadi without eb card so I couldn't able to pay the bill without consumer number now eb officer unplugged fuse then I went to eb office they asking penalty amount 10000 but last ruined unit is 160

      In English:

      I failed to pay the EB bill of Rs 2510 in May.
      neither was my electricity connection stopped.

      On the contrary, the electricity was cut off on 5/7/2023 (Wednesday), after crossing two months.

      so, i went to the keelkattalai electric office so that fine could be paid up. But the employee of the electricity office insisted that I pay rs.20011 fine saying that I had done "unauthorised usage" for two months.

      since i had a child at home and was already struggling without electricity one night, i had no choice but to pay the bill.

      it's not my fault that the electricity worker hasn't disconnected the power connection for two months. And, without putting in late payment charges, it is not acceptable to charge 10 times that electricity was stolen.

      I've attached all the bills here.

      I humbly request you to kindly help me get justice.

      எனவே, fine கட்டிவிடலாம் என்று keelkattalai மின்சார அலுவலகம் சென்றேன் . ஆனால் மின்சார அலுவலக ஊழியர், நான் இரண்டு மாதம் "unauthorised usage " ( மின்சார திரட்டு) செய்ததாக சொல்லி RS.20011 fine கட்ட சொல்லி நிர்பந்த படுத்தினர்.

      நான் வீட்டில் குழந்தை இருந்தத்தினாலும் ஏற்கனவே ஒரு நாள் இரவு மின்சாரம் இல்லாமல் சிரமம் அடைந்ததாலும் வேறு வழி இன்றி கட்டணம் செலுத்திவிட்டேன் .

      மின்சார ஊழியர் மின் இணைப்பை இரண்டு மாதமாக துண்டிக்காமல் விட்டது என் தவறு இல்லை . மற்றும், late payment charges போடாமல், மின்சாரம் திருடியதாக 10 மடங்கு charge செய்தது ஏற்புடையது அல்ல .

      அணைத்து bill யும் இங்கு இணைத்து உள்ளேன் .

      தயவு கூர்ந்து எனக்கு நியாயம் கிடைக்க உதவுமாறு மிக பணிவுடன் வேண்டிக்கொள்கிறேன் .

      account lock செய்து திருடன் என்று சொல்லி 10 மடங்கு fine போட்ட நபர்கள் பின் வருமாறு .

      III( C ) THEFT OF ENERGY:
      Section 135(1) of Electricity Act, 2003 as amended by Electricity (amendment) Act,
      2007, Theft of electricity is defined as, whoever dishonestly,
      (a) taps, makes or causes to be made any connection with overhead,
      underground or under water lines or cables, or service wires, or service
      facilities of a licensee or supplier as the case may be; or
      (b) tampers a meter, installs or uses a tampered meter, current reversing
      transformer, loop connection or any other device or method which interferes
      with accurate or proper registration, calibration or metering of electric
      current or otherwise results in a manner whereby electricity is stolen or
      wasted; or
      (c) damages or destroys an electric meter, apparatus, equipment, or wire
      or causes or allows any of them to be so damaged or destroyed as to interfere
      with the proper or accurate metering of electricity; or
      (d) uses electricity through a tampered meter; or
      (e) uses electricity for the purpose other than for which the usage of
      electricity was authorized.

      From the above data in the PDF of TANGEDCO website

      "unauthorized usage" is clearly mentioned as "uses electricity for the purpose other than for which the usage of electricity was authorized"
      Please look into the attached public notice from "Ministry of power"

      section 176 of electricity act 2003.

              My consumer number ([protected]) no one taken electricity meter reading this month, they generated previous electricity bill value.kindly do the needful for my proper electricity bill value..

                Sir, I stay at 91 V.V Koil Street choolai 3rd Floor Chennai 600112, Very frequently 1phase power failure bcoz of that No Lift & No Motor for water & no cylinder & no water cans to drink water so we always call EB person to solve and we pay them every visit but now its high time to call daily, we have noticed outside our house EB box has the fault and two Fuse Carrier has burned and even wire is burned. Pls try to understand that we have small kids to go school every day and elderly people cant claim 3 floors, hope you understand the situations and take necessary steps to solve this problem.
                Pls give us permanent solution for this.

                    Sir, my building has 3 metres, on April 2023, eb officer took reading for 1 meter and forget to write another 2 meters, so while bill payment I paid the previous same bill amount, problem is at June 2023 currently, when eb officer took reading I have to pay more money, because the meter reading comes with previous month readings,

                            I regret to submit the following few lines that the Complaint about disconnected the service number[protected]. On 01.04.2023 By seeing TANGEDCO app in mobile I saw that I have to pay Rs.2433/-. I didn't use the EB service as much. So I Went to TNEB office and gave complaint letter to rectify the problem. In office they said, Before three years when you change the meter the amount arise. I asked the amount is for meterbox or reading charge. They said me that they will check. But They said they can’t do anything and insisted me to pay the amount.
                            Then on 20th April, 2023 TNEB people Disconnected the sevice. After four days I gave online complaint. Then Disconnected service again reconnected by office people.
                            Then next two months after on 17/6/2023 again the EB people came home and cut the wire in up. On the day itself I went EB office and gave complaint to the assistant engineer she also said again I have to pay the same amount that is Rs.2433. The Reason they said is before 3 years meter changed in your house. That meter has bee checked by our higher official they only calculated Rs.2433/-. Then I asked mam you only gave reconnection to my house. Then why did you put penalty.
                            Now I am not having electricity supply. Please rectify the problem.

                                I am residing in Ponmar near cross way springs and electricity provider is Mambakkam office, either there is low voltage or ipower cut straight for 2 days it's worst service in Chennai, i have resided in other areas before and have never seen such a service in electricity, please go through earlier TNEB complaints, it will be mostly only in Ponmar area and Mambakkam EB office. Please help

                                  In pallikaranai periyar nagar heavy voltage fluctuation issue, i am complaining last 3months Still issue not resolved..
                                  In day time itself we get voltage below 150v to max 170 v and after 8 pm it's less than 90 volt. Electronics equipments gets damaged,
                                  Can't able to sleep peacefully, we struggling to run single fan, it's almost 3 months gone without sleeping peacefully.

                                  In thi area eb lines are hanging very low from the ground level, trees are crossing the eb line. Very worst maintenance.

                                  Please take a action and help to get resolve from this issue

                                        Consumer number[protected].Thundalam, Poonamalle our EB bill for this month is showing around 30, 00 and this is very much high since we are only 2 members with 2 small kids there is no way this much bill could have come, there is some mistake in the billing can you please check and rectify this issue immediately.
