    Poor Internet service and harassment by legal coils

    SUB: Tikona Service ID No [protected] of Tikona Infinet Pvt Ltd.

    Despite informing tikona broadband service provider in Allahabad (PRAYAGRAJ) and to their main office, to disconnect my poorly working broadband connection in May of 2019, they have not stopped harassing me and asking for additional payment . Their broadband service is appalling with far SLOWER SPEED THAN THEY CLAIM. I HAVE CLEARED ALL THEIR BILLS TILL THE DATE...

    Hi All,

    This is Vedanth Siddamari from Bangalore, I had availed Internet Broadband services from Tikona Ltd and was consumer to them from past 1.8 yrs.

    Below are the Acc-Details:
    Service ID: [protected] ACC No:[protected]

    Due to my personal decision of mine where I had to move to a different location, I decided to end their services, so called them and asked them to discontinue the services. There was no due from my end as I had availed 6mnths plan and was renewing the plan well before the plan was going to end.

    But this is where all this hungama started, soon after the end date ended they started sending legal notices to my email-id & old addresses that I have to pay due amount of Rs: 1138. Till now they are keeping harrassing me through these legal notices through emails & letters to old addresses where my credibility and identity is lost because of them. I have called them n number of times to stop sending these and keep an end full stop to it to which they haven't.

    Today I got a call from this lady - [protected] posing as agent from LegalCell and threatening me over the call. I have asked her if I have not used a single KB after the due period though I have informed well before to remove my connection. I don't care how many times they would call me.

    I don't understand if they are professional fellows or something else. Please request you to look into this high priority to end this harrasment to me & take appropriate action.

      Sent multiple Disconnection Notices to Tikona, Final Notice on 14th April 2022. All Outstanding cleared till billing cycle 14th April 2022. Tikona did not disconnect and continued monthly billing even after ZERO USAGE from me. Repeatedly harassing through sms messages and email asking for payment of wrongly charged bills.

      Resolution Requested:
      Stop wrongful billing & terminate connection. I have cleared All Outstanding amounts till my billing cycle till 14th April 2022. My Disconnection notices have been sent on 9th,
      11th & 14th April 2022; which is before the start of new cycle. No Usage from 5th April 2022 onwards. Still Tikona did not disconnect and wrongfully continued billing.

      Hello Sir/Madam at Consumer Complaints Forum,

      I am writing to bring to your notice the following malpractice followed by Tikona.
      I had sent strict Email Notice to Tikona, requested to Stop Monthly Billing and completely Disconnect Tikona Connection as on following dates (before start of new billing cycle):
      NOTICE #1: 9TH APRIL, 2022
      NOTICE #2: 11TH APRIL, 2022
      NOTICE #3: 14th APRIL, 2022

      All outstanding bills have been cleared (prepaid in full) till my last used billing cycle: till date of my 3rd Notice: 14th of April, 2022.

      I have NO OUTSTANDING amount in my account, till the date of my last Notice.

      All pending bills and amounts have been fully paid Till 14TH APRIL 2022.

      However, even after my repeated calls and notices, Tikona refused to disconnect and stop Monthly billing for my account. Tikona continued my monthly billing, even after multiple calls and email notices from me informing of Disconnection.

      I have NOT used my Tikona Internet connection from 5th April 2022 Onwards. (ZERO USAGE after 5th April 2022 till Date).
      I have prepaid in full, all my outstanding charges till the billing cycle of 14th April 2022.
      However, Tikona wrongly continued the monthly charges for my account.
      On a daily basis, I receive repeated sms messages and emails from Tikona to recover wrongly charged monthly bills, even though I have prepaid all my outstanding amounts in full, till the date of my usage.
      I have still been billed wrongly for 2 more months, beyond the date of my Last Disconnection Notice sent on 14th April 2022.

      Still, I am regularly being disturbed by repeated sms messages and emails from Tikona, to pay bills, even after 3 written notices of disconnection from me to Tikona.

      Please register my complaint, and help me get resolution against wrongful practices being followed by Tikona Infinet Limited.

        Still I'm getting the threat emails from Tikona. I will not leave it here, will post it to all consumer forums to explain about my issue if action not taken.

        Also didn't mention in my earlier emails that after the due amount whatever they are charging to which I don't owe them anything as i haven't used a single KB of their Internet services as I had moved out of the location before the plan got ended. Let them check if I'm wrong.

        From here on, I don't want any kind of emails from Tikona. If no action taken, i will not leave it here as I'm ready to fight to wherever is possible.

        Hi All,

        Someone faking that she is from the Legal cell called me from this number- [protected]. She tried to threaten me taking me to the police station, I have given her back saying I don't care for these things as i have seen lot many things like this before. I will in turn lodge a police complaint against this lady and this company.

          Hi,
          Details of your Tikona WI-Bro Service Account are - BAN –[protected] & Service ID – [protected]

          I have sent Disconnection request on Jul 27 2022 but still its not done.
          There is no response to email sent to tikona email id.
          Whenever i chat on whatsapp they ask the reason and provide new offers.

          I said i dont want any offers I moved out of city and will not come back. So PLEASE DISCCONCT THE INTERNET CONNCETION.

          I am really frustrated with the Tikona service.

          It's been month since I requested for internet disconnection. There is no response yet.
          Still nothing happened. no response from TIKONA.
          There is no response yet. Worst service from Tikona. Please don't fall in this trap.

            I stopped my service and agreed to return modem and other parts of equipment’s. But no one is came to collect the equipment’s . Hence company is generated bill against me and harassing me to pay the bill over a phone call again again. I was trying to submit the modem to office . but they have no any physical office for customer . because they dont want to listen to custmore problems they only want to take money from people who are busy in their work life.

              I (user id - [protected])have emailed, called and also whatsapp tikona on 26thjuly2022 for disconnection. Also talked to their customer care executive (she introduced herself Tina)on the same day and after discussion with her she raised a ticket(ticket number 1-[protected]) for disconnection and assured me that within 10 days my tikona account will be closed and disconnected and their person will collect the adaptor and other equipment. I have applied for disconnection 20days prior to my next billing cycle, and also stopped using their services from 24thjuly2022(which their customer executive also confirmed on the phone). Two days after the ticket was raised, I received renewal message and email and since then on daily basis I am contacting as well as emailing them to disconnect my service and close my account. But everytime they are giving fake assurance that it will be disconnected within 24 hrs and your request is in progress. From last tlconversations with their executives (Named Tina and Aswini), they told that they have escalated my issue to their senior authority. Now it's more than 15 days( exactly 17th day today) I haven't received their confirmation email, nor my account is closed and disconnected. It's a mental harrasment case.

              Instead of mentioning multiple times to permanently close my account, they just stopped rentals only. And when I asked their customer care executive still they are saying that your request is in progress and rental has stopped and they have added extra 10GB to my account. Although, I have stopped using their sevices from 24th july 2022 (which their customer care executives also confirmed on the phone calls), why they are continuosly persisting me to avail any offer, which I have directly rejected multiple times. I am receiving false call from their side and even after picking up the call, no one is responding from other side. And they are sending message "we tried calling you but you are not reachable" and this happens many times. I have also provided them my alternate mobile number. But it seems that they are not willing to close my account after requesting them multiple times. I am literally being harrashed by tikona everyday. Please help me in resolving my issue and getting my tikona account permanently closed .

                My name is Om Prakash Sharma, I'm using tikona for last 1 year and my connection username/ID is [protected], many times i face internet connection problem but they usually fix in 1-2 days, last month i face the same problem, not able to connect with internet, i raised multiple request, try to connect with customer care, local tikona support but no one respond, i raised connectivity issue request on 21 july and wait till 26th july but no one responded, i complaint multiple time but they tell only one line, , *we will fix this by today*

                At last i decided to close my tikona connection and request to close connection, , now 19 days are over but still no one is listening to me, they haven't close my connection yet and even not refunding my amount, , i don't know where to connect, i tried multiple time but no one is responding

                i have all the recording and mails that i send to tikona for this issues as proof if required

                    I received a Tikona bill of rs 2400 first after stopped using 2 months in sep 2021 then when I contacted customer care they said it is postpaid connection, not a prepaid connection (I kept saying that i was informed its a prepaid service) then I sent mail for disconnection before and after paying the bill they did not reply and again they generated a bill saying if your service is suspended u will receive a bill. Then after 4 months I am receiving a call that your bill will be kept generating from any legal team .. i guess they are a fraud company you can see many complaints on all social media. When I contacted Tikona person who gave me a connection he told me the company has closed its business and few people are calling in their name to pay bills. All the employees have already left and no one is responding to them also. I have sent almost 10 email but no reply shows they are fraud and in wiki, it shows Airtel have bought that company don't know if really they have bought this fraud company.

                      I applied for broadband connection in your tikona website I paid the money also 3533rs for 40mbps 6 months with zero rs installation fee and the website said that if connection not done in 7 days it will refund it. So I paid it.
                      When I recahed to customer care then they told me your request is not registered so I gave all details then they said service engineer will call you.
                      Service engineer called me said it will charge 2000rs extra for installation in your building CEP device. I said him your website mentioned free installation charge and he refused it. Then I said that cancel my request and refund my money in payment source so

                      He said mail to [protected]@tikona.co.in you will receive reversal in 7 days

                      Still it been 3 weeks or over 1 months not received my refund in my credit card

                      Payment source is my credit card

                      Please revert my money to credit card and call me asap

                      I didn't got any user Id

                      I got receipt when I paid

                      Customer care holding my number for 10 minutes when this call is chargeable and not connect to anyone in the customer support representative
                      I got my main balance of vi sim deducted

                      I have all call recording also as proof to show in court
                      So please refund my money and call me asap

                            We emailed and called and WhatsApped also to disconnect the wifi after completion of the plan of seven months they didn't disconnect it even after telling and then sent a bill and then blackmailed us saying that they will take us to court and will make a case .we payed the amount then they started the wifi again we didn't asked for and we didn't wanted that .we WhatsApp and called and emailed too we don't wanted to continue.they called and asked about the reason of disconnection and ended the call with ok we will disconnect .then too after one month they are sending a bill we have removed all the connection router everything haven't used any of the internet full month so what kind of bill is that they are sending. We searched the office also there is no such office of tikona. They are a total fraud.For billing and all they call everytime but for this no one is receiving and the customer care number is showing busy.what to do .

                              I had opted for Tikona couple of years back but due to issues with the service I chose to discontinue it before my half yearly payment got due.

                              So in the month of April 2022 I spoke to the customer service and they raised a ticket for the same. But soon enough I started to get calls for non payment of the bill due which I ignored as I had already raised this and was relying on the ticket I had raised for disconnection of service.

                              Later the matter became worse as I got a letter from Halai & Co with very harsh words saying I need to pay the amount partly which came to around 1162. I mailed many follow up mails to the Customer Service and did not get any reply another than their standard machine reply.

                              Then the next day I called the customer help desk and that person did not have any replies to my queries nor was he able to let me know the SLAs when my request would be entertained and closed.

                              After a frustrating repeated attempts to call again, one executive ensured that the service needs to be activated to be de-activated and asked me to pay the said amount of Rs 1162 to which I agreed. That person also raised a ticket 1-[protected] and ensured that it would done in next 24 hours.

                              This was on June 25, 2022. Now to this date my request for disconnection is still not addressed and since couple of days I have started to get reminder calls to pay the next part payment which amounts to 1427.80.

                              This is a clear case of negligence and a huge fraud on Tikona's part to demand money when not even a Kilo Byte of the network is used.

                              I had paid for the modem while installation so I am also not sure why I need to return it or pay 1500 in case its not done.

                              I am not worried about the later part, but still I am following up with a highly unprofessional company like Tikona with no immediate surety of getting my complaints addressed and the network disconnected once and for all.

                              As as per the note from Halai & Co, which contradicts my present staus as i would say "yes there is a dispute with the network provider which needs resolution".

                              I am still getting payment reminders. The issue is by connection is not deactivated still and I am following this since June 2022. I also noticed that suddenly as of yesterday there was a.0.30 GB used which till yesterday was un-utilized as the modem at my place is long been disconnected, from March end to be precise.

                              Not sure what is happening in the background. Tikona team please look into this and let me know when this can be settled in good faith.

                              "Dear Tikona customer, TT no. 1-[protected] is attended.Refer email sent. To address any other query, chat with our support team on WhatsApp http://tik2.in/?wa"

                              I wanted to inform that I have not received any emails, at this point of time/
                              I would also like to know the status of TT no 1-[protected] and when the connection would be disconnected.

                              I tried to chat on Whatsapp, but it's equally pathetic and frustrating.

                                This is the 4th day that intern access has been disconnected. There is a problem with the modem/router and despite repeated requests, no engineer has been sent to check this issue. I keep getting messages that the connectivity is fine till the rooftop but still I am unable to have internet access.
                                I have mentioned to multiple representatives that the router or modem is malfunctioning.
                                Tikona Digital Networks customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

                                  Hello,

                                  Past many months I am facing issue with tikona net connection. I have complained about this issue many times but still this is not resolved. Engineer comes fix it and then again in next 2 days same problem. I don't understand what kind of service they are giving.
                                  I am planning to discontinue tikona now.
