Yesterday when i was booking for a cab, ride was confirmed, and spoke with the concern person (Cab driver) he said he is on the way. After some time the cab driver cancelled the cab without any intimation.

So, i tried booking another cab but got a pop up saying that extra 42/- has to be paid.

The thing is that the "driver cancelled the cab" after i waited for 10 mins.

See i think the money has to be paid when the person booked the cab (Rider) has cancelled. Not when the driver is cancelled. If driver has cancelled the ride then the necessary actions action should be taken but not collecting extra charge from the rider who was the victim.

I am on way to hurry to close a deal with a person. Because of this issue i have to book another cab and wait extra time to ride. Because of this issue i had to make the other person to wait for so long. This is not at all appreciable. Please go through the issue.

    Please refer your mail of 17 march 18 and my emails of 6, 7, 10, 11, 12 and 17 mar18. Mr rudraraju r had sent the last mail from your side on 17 mar.

    Today i received an email from uber saying that due to inactivity of 7 days, the technical team did not receive my mail. As i was informed by uber on 17 mar that technical team is looking for a solution and will revert, i think it is safe to assume that the reply was expected from your side. It is really surprising that an efficient organisation like uber finds difficult to resolve the issue even after almost 3 weeks.

    I assume my message has probably not been conveyed properly. I am once again forwarding the details sent to you earlier.

    Fare paid -947.35

    Drop off point - kempegowda international airport, bengaluru
    Distance - 66.95
    Time taken-1:28:54 (05:52hr to 07:21hr)
    Fare paid -1687.27

    It may be seen from above that distance is same, the time taken same, route taken same but the difference of fare approximately inr700/-. How this is possible is beyond my comprehension.
    Can you pl clarify. If a different pickup or drop off point is being claimed, that is the problem of the navigation /diver. Action to rectify the same is required to be taken at your end

    For ease of comprehension, i am once again attaching the screenshots of the to and fro travel details from kempegowda airport to my destination.

    I hope now issue is amply clear and your technical team is able to find out a solution to my problem. I request expeditious action to the refund excess fare charged credited to my account.

    A complaint has been forwarded to UBER by you on 01 Apr18. However, till date neither there has been any response from UBER nor the issue has been resolved. Request UBER be notified to resolve the case ASAP.

      March 30th i was traveling in bangalore, and knowing the traffic woes, i booked a cab in advance @ 5:15pm to go to the airport. At the moment of my travel a cab was assigned to me however this guy was 25 mins away and when i tried to reach him he had switched off his phone and was unreachable!
      Suddenly i see that the trip has been switched on and the cab was moving! I desperately tried to reach out to the driver but couldn't.
      Eventually i see that #uber and #paytm has charged me rs 525!
      I tried booking another cab and this guy was also 25 mins away! Since i had a flight to catch i had to cancel the new trip.
      When i raised a complaint with #uber they seem to be very oblivious to the data that is in front of them!

      My question is this:
      - i am sure they will, if they do the analysis correctly, see that there was an advance booking that i had done and second booking after the fraud trip, that i had done. Can't they see what it tells them? Isn’t this part of their analysis?
      - if you know the cities in india well, i am sure whoever is processing this can see that a 6 min ride you cannot reach the airport in that time (Isn’t this logical!?) and that the charge of 525 is ridiculous!
      - they have access to their driver, are they even trying to talk to him or analyze his behavior? He seems to have a very bad track record! (2.1)
      -the vehicle was a maharashtra license (I found this from my app), what is that doing in karnataka?
      Finally as a customer, i am stating that i have not taken the trip. I can prove it that me and my colleague were waiting at capgemini office in bangalore along with the center head for the cab.

      I have now made up my mind to fight this out. I have clear evidence that i did not take this.
      Taking money without asking isn't it tantamount to #loot #fraud and #theft?

      Would like my friends to update that After "1 follow up every day" @Uber has finally refunded the money today. My suggestion, if you think you are right, please followup meticulously! and Raise issues in multiple subject lines. Thanks Consumer Complaint for your efforts too!

      Trip on sunday25th march2018 by Hyundai Xcent No MH05DK1571with driver pravin, from tisgaon, kolsewadi, Kalyan east To Samved, Rajendra nagar Borivali east.pickup 2.20pm and droptime 3.56pm .i paid cash Rs 859.35 to driver and again Uber deducted same amount, directly from my paytm wallet so uber should give me refund.
      I want refund of rs 859.35 for double payment of one trip

          Hello.
          I am dinesh. Using uber as business. But i got low fare on same distance ride.
          On 29th march 2018, domestic terminal 1b chhatrapti.. To vasai west. Time 8:52pm to 11:30 pm. This was ride on that i got fare of rs.1472 and from that i got 1140 in my account. Distance was 53km. 2hr 24 min this was trip time. Okay. Keep in mind this situation.
          Now hear this on 30th march 2018, time was 7pm to 9:12 pm, ride duration was 1hr 48 min. Bhivandi to borivali stn. Fare was 931 and i got rs736 for 50 km.
          Now the question is i got 400rs less in my acct. How this can be happened?.
          Your computer system does not how to calculate fare for us???
          What do you think o[censored]s?
          We are here for make business not for social services.
          So please keep your data up to date. And don't cheat us.
          And do the justice for us.

            On 30th march i booked uber around 10:10pm to travel from pachalam to my house near south station, after conformation driver didn’t come to pickmeup, when i tried to contact him through phone, he didn’t pick my phone call, after 50 min he cancelled the trip, so he wasted my time about one hour by not cancelling the trip early. So i request uber to take strong action against the driver

              I, asha krishnaswamy, on march 30, in bengaluru, india had booked a uber pool taxi from wilson manor jogging path, 13th cross, wilson garden, bengaluru 27 to rajaneethi political consultants, 13, 6th main, sadashivnagar, aramane nagar, bengaluru. The driver phone nos — [protected]. When i called the driver to find where he was located, he said he was near a metro station, jayanagar. I asked him how much it would take to reach my destination. I had to know the duration becasuse i had a meeting to attend and the distance from my residence to jayanagar is far. He began abusing me saying i am a fool and none can tell as to when a drive can reach a destination! I tried to correct him. He used choicest kannada words and said do what i want. I told me he can't treat customers so badly.in case he was not in a position to come, i requested him to cancel the booking because it was he who was complaining. I had to warn him that i would have to lodge a complaint for his abusive langauge and rude behavior. He said i can go ahead. He threatened me.
              I had to miss my official work as a journalist because of him. He never bothered to cancel the trip or turned up. I got scared even to talk to him let alone get into his taxi. It was raining in bengaluru and i had to suffer mental agony as well as financial loss due to him. Is this the way uber wants to provide secured service to citizens of bengaluru, especially to women? On top of abusing me, your company is expecting me to pay cancellation fee of rs 42. Why should i pay for a trip which i never used or i cancelled the trip? B
              I am a journalist. I would like to throw light on this incident so that public especially women do not get harassed by such rude drivers o[censored]ber. How dare the company sends me a notice saying i have to pay penalty for the crime i have not committed? Should i pay to uber for hiring a rogue driver?

              My phone nos is[protected]. You can call me anytime. You check your records and take stringent action against the driver. Failing which i would have to rush to police to lodge a harrassment complaint. I need quick justice from uber. This unethical behavior of the driver and uber cannot be accepted. First remove the driver from your service and secondly do not penalise me as i was the one who was inconvenienced and tremotised.

                I have booked a ride on 26.3.18 in uber in schedule ride option on that time that are showing estimated fare between 480-560/-rs. After completion of ride i have been charged 1011 /-rs. It was 2.3 times than normal but they have not informed us before the ride about higher rate. It was a terrible experience. I request uber please review fare and refund.

                  My ph. No. [protected] & regd. Email id: [protected]@yahoo.com - from this ph. I booked a ride at 12.52 pm my pickup location given was 'panchtantra ii' off panch marg, off yari rd. Versova andheri (W), and this being my home location, i have regularly been choosing this as my pick up point. There has not been an issues in the past with this. However, today, driver ajay with hyundai xcent - was assigned this ride. He did not come to the correct pickup location, instead waited at some parallel road location for 7 min and then my ride got cancelled by uber - i was charged rs. 47.25 from my paytm account by uber!
                  When the driver has not reached my location, i cannot be held liable and cannot be charged cancellation fee,. It is your app and driver's fault that he did not enquire or call to reach the correct location. He says my no. Was not reachable, which is totally wrong, i called and got through to him from the same no.

                  Also, when i made a complaint through the uber app and pressed on 'problem with cancellation' i got a message saying that i have been given credit for this cancellation fee charged, but my app does not show this credit.

                  Please look into this urgently, not only did you charge me an uncalled for cancellation but also wasted my time - 10 min, wait time, where neither the driver contacted my leading to delay in reaching my office, totally unprofessional method.
                  I need a refund of the cancellation immediately and need to be reimbursed for waste of my time and effort in waiting and getting delayed in reaching my location as also having to put in more time reporting this issue through various means to uber.

                    We booked uber today at 4.40 am at my resident point of siddha xandadu rajarhat. Driver, named irfaan having contact no. [protected] contacted us over phone and asked to know our destination. But immediate after he cancelled his trip without any information and we were unable to contact him because he deliberately diverted his phone. And the net was showing that our car will be available in 3 min. But after 45 min another new driver came to pick up us. For this type of incooperation of your driver we missed our scheduled train. We faced very bad experience today.

                      I booked an uber cab at mumbai domestic airport at uber booking counter at about 6 pm on 24th march. While booking, i gave the person at the counter, my full address, complete with the near by landmarks. (Evertop appartments, azad nagar, andheri west, mumbai).
                      I did not receive any message on my mobile. So i was given the car no. And mobile no. Of the driver and as suggested, i phoned and met the taxi driver at the pick up point and got in.
                      When we entered jogeshwari area, which is beyond andheri, i was surprised, but kept to myself thinking that the direct, shorter route may be closed for repairs. After about 1.5 hours, he told me that he had arrived at the destination. When i told him that this was not the address i had given at the booking counter, he showed me the destination sent to him on his mobile, which merely showed andheri west. Further he asked me to get down since he had received a call for a new customer and was required to fetch him.
                      he then asked me to pay ₹460 (Which i paid to him) which was way more than the ₹220 showed to me at the airport. Moreover, after leaving the taxi, it was very difficult to find even an auto. What with my aged mother in law with me as also the luggage, i had to call my brother in law from evertop appartments who then came to pick me up
                      To summarize, the following points occurred,.
                      1. I did not get the message on my phone at the airport.
                      2. As learnt later, the driver was given the wrong address of my destination.
                      3. This lead him to take a wrong, longer route.
                      4. This resulted in my reaching home after 2 hours, a distance which is normally covered in 45 minutes even considering the evening traffic.
                      5. I had to miss my scheduled program that evening.
                      6. I was charged ₹460 as against the ₹220 told at the booking counter.
                      Considering the above, i request you to refund the full fare charged to me.

                      I consider uber a world class company, and have travelled with uber a couple of times earlier too, but never had such an experience. I therefore expect uber to refund the full fare charged to me. Further i also expect uber to take necessary measures to avoid similar incidences with any other passengers in future.

He told me he is on the way and we were waiting for him suddenly he cancelled the ride and why should i pay 36rs for tat. This is happening to me many times. Im so much irritated and upset and heartbroken. I hate uber with loads of worries in my heart for uber. Do the needful as possible. Help me out in my outstanding payment.

                          Today around 1330 hrs i booked Uber pool from my home location in Chembur East to SNDT WOMENS College Churchgate Mumbai.It indicated driver to reach after 10 mts.In the meantime i got friends car.Within 3mts of booking i cancelled trip with Uber.There was some net problem also .I tried to contact driver Shakeel but couldnt get through to him.Within 5 mts at 1340 hrs my trip is shown completed with Rs99.75 charged and debited from PayTM.In fact i am being asked to rate driver Shakeel for the trip which didnt materialise with me.This is totally wrong. Amount of Rs 99.75 should be fully refunded to me.

                              Hi Team,

                              I have raised complaint regarding fare issue 28 March 2018 through the Uber app to help.uber.com but I did not get any response till today, when I book cab my location to destination location fare showing 45.75 RS but after complete the trip go to payment it was showing 75 RS as well promo activated, so kindly look into this issue asap.

                                I hired cab from bengaluru airport to cunningham crescent road on 23rd march 2018 at 11.30-11.45 pm. Reached destination around midnight (Around 12.15 pm i presume) or so. Since it was late i paid the driver and rushed out. Perhaps i forgot my mobile in the cab. After 10 minutes i realized that the mobile was missing and called my phone no. ([protected]) from another mobile. But my phone was not answered despite some 15 calls. Thereafter the call was disconnected and finally it was disconnected.
                                I tried contacting uber support but was not able to report as over phone your rep was saying that it was not the right mode. Online i sent two messages / complaints to your support uber. But that was also rejected, despite my desperate attempts i was not in a position to file a loss complaint to uber.
                                Today i am registering here hoping it would be accepted.
                                I have lodged a police complaint on 24th march 2018.

                                Kindly look in to the matter.

                                    I booked an uber and driver straight away denied to go to my location. I asked him to cancel and he did and i was charged a cancellation fee. I informed uber help but they did not refund the amount.

                                    Today i was charged rs 59 for no reason and neither there is any track of this payment on the app. I contacted uber help again they did not provide any help on the chat.
                                    Uber India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
                                    After repeated requests screenshots and complaints Uber is still not clearing my account. Inspire of repeated requests no one is ready to help. Customer centricity for uber has gone down the drain. No hope anymore

                                      I had booked an uber cab dated 28 march, 2018 at around 3 pm, vehicle number was 7778, a wagon r car whose driver's name was ambika... I was getting late for new delhi railway station and as soon as i asked the driver to drive a bit fast than he started misbehaving with me.. He said why didnt u take uber go and started shouting on me saying get out of my cab... When i tried to get out he caught me forcefully saying pay me and then get lost... After i got out anyhow i started making a video of his misbehaviour.. As soon as he saw me making a video he tried to flew speeding the car... I even have a short video where he tried to flew after his misbehaviour... My contact no. Is [protected].. I am going to file a complaint as soon as possible

                                      The driver added that ' ase complaint maine bahut dekhe hai ukhaar le Jo ukhaarna hai, uber wala v mera kuch na kr paega ... I am such an old uber customer and I had never expected that this would happen..

                                        Dear Uber and Uber Support Team I book cab[protected] in Uber pool Today Morning 27 March and fare was showing 129. Before my drop, there is one more drop somewhere near Ghitorani. After that driver dropped me at Unitech Infospace, GGN. Driver did not complete\End my trip after dropping and he moved away from GGN to Delhi. That time I was in hurry, So did not check weather driver stops my Ride or not. After few mins I realized driver did not end my ride, so I called several time but he did not pick my phone. So he went to his home without ending my trip. Because of this, Uber charge 1341 INR for this ride. Driver intentionally did this to make by money by cheating customer(me) and uber as well. Uber can check this cab’s route and this was moved by Infospace. I contacted uber several time but uber is not refunding money. I chosen card payment in that’s why Driver did this. Uber helping in this matter to driver. Uber is not listening to me. No customer care number or complain help line number so that we can if case of issues. Driver doing whatever they want to do, and we are paying them. My account is associated with email “[protected]@gmail.com”
