Hi, i was using Uber for last 3 years, but didnt had any problem except from last year which have been dragging for so long now that i had to discontinue my Uber Account. I am unable to use my credit card for payment of my trips because it says due to some activity it has been deactivated from the Uber server. I have already mailed 25-30 times but i got a single response that it is a system generated blockage and nothing above it can be done..

I used Uber for last 3 years and when i was closing my account it showed that i have done more than 300 trips on uber. But i liked Uber the most and reason was that i could pay for my trips through card which helped me from getting into the hassles of change cash and also enabled authenticated payments which i could submit to my employer since it was being deducted from my Credit card. Due to this being continuously being dragged on and also later my Mother' s account was also blocked for the same reason.

I have deactivated my account but if this thing is solved i would be more than happy to come back and start using Uber again.

    Dear Consumer Complaint Team,

    At about 15:00 hours on 25 Mar 2018, I had requested for a UberGo cab. The app informed me that the cab will take about seven minutes to arrive since it was dropping an earlier customer. I was monitoring the movement of the cab. When it was one minute away from my pickup point (my residence in Hill Top Colony in Sainikpuri, Secunderabad), I arrived at the gate of my multistoried building.

    I received a call at 15:12 hours from[protected] from Uber Cab driver who announced that he has arrived at the pickup point. Since I didn't see him anywhere, I asked the driver, where is he waiting for me. I discovered from my discussion that he was waiting in front of a Kirana shop on a parallel road to my residence. I requested him to reverse the cab and come to my road, as I started walking towards the main road to meet the cab.

    To my shock, I found that he cut the call and canceled the trip. Promptly, Uber sent me a cancellation fee of Rs.47.5 for no fault of mine. I complained to the Customer Support but got stock answers that did not address my issue. I refused to accept their note of cancellation fee, and also uninstalled Uber from my cell phone owing to their unprofessional and despicable behavior.

    Uber may also need to understand that when the pickup point is entered as Pin Location, it refers to a larger area (in my case Hill Top Colony) than an accurate point. The driver was rudely arguing with me that his position of parking was correct and not mine. It was a very sad experience and I was in a hurry to go for an appointment.

    Despite writing several emails to Uber Customer support - they only had an irrelevant stock reply that showed that they were not even reading my emails properly.

    I wrote to their grievance officer: [protected]@uber.com, and received a reply from their Support team thus:

    I then wrote an email to Mr. Amit Jain their CEO and received this response from the Support team:

    But somehow, the Uber Support team was tracking this email because they sent me this response:

    Uber has managed to keep themselves away from redressing customer's grievances by neither sharing their phone numbers nor having anyone from their end speaking to the Customer.

    I submit this complaint with a hope that the cancellation fee against my name will be revoked with an apology to put me into inconvenience.

    The customers appear to be at the mercy of the driver and the Uber Support team who take unilateral decisions.

      I had booked 2 seats in uber pool on 6th feb 18. On this ride there was another booking of 2 seats and one booking of 1 seat. So in total 5 seats were booked which caused a lot of inconvenience. When i raided the issue with uber they said i will be refunded for the trip. But i did not receive a refund and the issue was moved to archive and therefore i was unable to respond to it i raised a new issue and again i received the same response and the issue has been moved to archive without resolving it.

        1. Once the trip amount was Rs 253 when i booked. When the trip got completed, i asked the driver how much the bill was. He said Rs 253/-. I told him that i have credit balace, . The driver said but it has come as cash payment for him so i have to pay cash. Hence i paid him cash Rs 253 as i didnot want to argue in the main road. Now after half an hour, i am seeing that my uber credit got deducted by Rs 253/-. I was shocked. This means UBER HAS CHARGED ME TWICE AND MADE ME A FOOL. CASH AND CREDIT PAYMENT. WHAT A CHEATING. nOW i need refund OF rS. 253/-. I have followed up umpteen times but Uber has the same answer. Sorry we cant refund. This is utter nonsense. I am asking for return of my money and i am not getting it. What is the difference bet ween a Robber doing theft and Uber?

        2. The next instance was, i had to pay Rs. 196/- for a trip. When the destination came, I asked Uber driver what thebill amount came. He said Rs 196/-. I told him that i already had credit, he can collect from that. He said no madam it is cash payment and i have to give him cash and left. Fine, I gave him cash. Now, after half an hour, i am seeing that my Uber credits got decreased by Rs. 196/-.

        Driver asked to pay 196. Again I raised complaint with Uber for my credit. I got the same answer. Sorry madam, we cannot refund you. This is ridiculous. For my money i have to fight out so much??? Crazy. Havent seen such an unprofessional bunch of people like here in Uber. Now my complaint is to return my Rs 196/- and Rs 253/- back immediately.

          I sorry to inform you that the uber owned by mr. Krishna took me at 5.06 am today and drop me at domestic airport of mumbai. He could not close the trip and asked me to pay the fare as per my mobile information given during booking and according i paid rs. 370 in cash to him. He was supposed to close the trip immediately after recharging his mobile. But at guwahati airport i discover that sri krishna has not closed my trip and trip charge was shown outstanding in my account. He is very dishonest and unfaithful. Please carry a thorough enquiry and find the truth. Otherwise this type of driver will spoil the reputation o[censored]ber.

          On 17.03.2018 i have booked a uber go cab from adayar (chennai) to chennai central railway station. He enquired about address also but after 15 minutesh cab driver told me i will reject this trip. But uber levied cancellation charges on me. What action will be taken for my inconvience by uber india.

            Today 25th mar 2018 morning 7.09 am, i booked cab - uber from marathahalli to 19th cross, ramesh nager, cab/driver didnt cam to my location to pickup, driver him self cancelled booking from his end, but the amount of rs - 42.00 deducted from my paytm even i was not taken ride.

            Pleasesome one take care asap.

              I have booked a uber from 1292, tagore park, naskarhat, kasba, kolkata - 700039 to gariahat road on 24th march at 19:29 hours. A hyundai xcent car came driven by jitendra. However during the ride the driver informed that his mobile is not working and developed a snag. So when i got down he could not complete the trip. He completed the trip at a different location and i was charged extra based on that from my paytm account.

              I have raised a complaint with uber in uber hekp within 12 hours of the incident but uber is not responding to that.

              I am attaching the receipt of the trip.

                I had travelled from howrah station to tatini apartment, kaikhali chiriamore, on 20th instant.

                I booked the vehicle through your dedicated uber parking space opposite new terminal building at about 2p. M on 20/03/18. I used my account (Registered as sujata bhattacharya, phone no [protected]) for booking the vehicle through the tab of the person in charge since my phone was not receiving the signal. Phone no of the driver was [protected] and the vehicle registration # was wb23d 4781

                This trip was not updated in my records so far and i badly need the receipt for claiming the amount (Rs 317/-) from indian institute of technology kharagpur where i teach as an adjunct faculty.

                I hope you would understand my predicament and take necessary action please.

                  When i booked the ride, the fare shown was approximately rs 325/-, but earlier in the day, when i was authrising payment, i noticed that the charge was rs 802.56/-.

                  This seemed exorbitant, but when i looked further, i noticed that i have been charged from t3 at igi airport delhi, and back to the same location.
                  It is inconceivable that one would take a ride from the airport and back, with baggage, so i assume that it is an error - i do hope this is not something that has been done deliberately - and uber must refund the difference to me immediately.

                    Hi this is ashwini here i had booked uber from kalwa to kandivali west. Firstly driver ayub was driving very fast as i told him very initially that my dad is heart patient still he did not listened. Then when we reached borivali tata power signal his cng got over and then started arguing with me for fares. When i booked it showed me 580 then when he stoped the trip in between it was showing 578. I asked him why am i suppose to pay so much when i haven't reached my destination yet. Then he started arguing with me i called up police station as well. He did not even had atticates to speak to my mom. He started saying will see how you guys leave from here. He was very rude and very arrogant. Then he started using abusing words as well. I paid him 450rs. This is rubbish service and and too arrogant drivers. I want my refund back. And these drivers cancel the trips in between and then later on you guys charge 50rs from us why and that to on what basis. I want to know all this.

                      Driver name & vehicle number: debajit ; 2578
                      From & to: from dosti lily antop hill to endeavour society mulund east.
                      Mode: cash
                      Price net of rs.50 discount as per email from uber: rs.261.39.
                      Actual cash charged by driver: rs.310.

                      Reason for excess charge as per driver: fare of rs.261 was shown on his app, but figure of rs.310 was also displayed below that. Driver was adamant that this was the correct fare and he would not collect anything less than rs.310.
                      I had booked this ride for my uncle (Who is deaf) & his wife and thus was unable to intervene as i came to know about this overcharging after the fact.

                      On complaining on uber app, i was told that they would not be able to refund the excess amount as "they consider this exchange outside uber system".

                      The least uber could have done was call up the driver & inquired about his reason for overcharging. Two possibilities: either driver is unethical or unaware. If it was the second case, uber always has the option of deducting from his future payout and refunding the amount to us.

                      This is blatant carelessness & shrugging off of responsibility from this mnc.

                        I booked uber can tonight for ahmedabad domestic airport to prahladnagar, ahmedabad. I did speak to driver bharat ‭+[protected]‬ & he did confirm about reaching - he asked me drop location, which i shared in good faith. Thereafter, he didn't turn up & didn't pick up my phone call. After trying calling him couple of times for 20 minutes, i made alternative arrangements. Thereafter, i got sms & mail for debit of rs 36.75 from my linked paytm.

                        This was really very bad that in the first place, uber driver ditched & on the top of it, a deduction got made unilaterally eventhough i didn't cancel the trip.

                          My uber account have been showing an outstanding balance of 98 rupees and i had to pay that along with today's fare but the only thing is that i always pay my fare when my ride is complete then why does it show outstanding payments. And it is not the first time that it has happened. I've paid this way some 2 times before too... Please look into this matter. Thank you

                            We took an uber ride from bangalore international airport to our home on 18th early in the morning at around 2:30 am. We reached our destination at 3:15 am. Until we reached home, this was the scene:
                            1) driver by-passed the toll route which would have been faster, despite my request to take the toll route. Yet, i was charged the toll fee.
                            2) he drove recklessly, way above the speed limit. Touching speeds of 115 km/hr.
                            3) i requested him to slow down as my wife was feeling uncomfortable, yet he continued with his rash driving.

                            After we reached home, he refused to complete the trip on his app and was asking us to pay rs 1095. While the estimate shown on my phone was rs 643.46 (Which is the actual amount as per the receipt i received later).

                            I refused to pay anything until i could verify the amount via my app. He refused to show me his phone and kept demanding rs 1095 and made my wife and me wait for nearly 2 hours (From 3:15 am till around 4:45 am) in the middle of a street near our home. At around 4:45 am we paid him the amount and let him leave as there was no sign of him ending the trip.

                            20 minutes after he left, the trip ended and we received a receipt which said the amount to be paid is rs 643.46.

                            I have been using uber frequently for more than 3 years now and this is not the kind of service of experience expected from a well-established company that gives utmost importance and assistance to customers. Very disappointed with this experience.

                            This makes me question uber, has uber's priorities changed? Are they as good as they were? Doesn't look like they are professional anymore. Neither do they have any customer value or focus.

                            I raised multiple issues with uber while the driver was making a scene near our home. Yet, i got no response until around 9:30 am in the morning when a support person called and confirmed the events, however, later they refused to acknowledge the issue and indirectly said that they will not take any action against the driver or refund the extra amount (Even the toll) that i was charged by the driver.

                            I think people need to have visibility on how uber drivers take advantage of the riders (Especially on cash trips) and how uber does nothing to help the riders.

                            Uber's customer service is degrading day by day.

                            Attaching the screenshot having the details of the driver and his car, who caused this trouble.in fact, i don't think that the driver was the same person as in uber's profile.

                              I took the ride on uber dated 9march 2018*from noida. After my is over i paid the amount to driver expecting receipt will be available on there app. But on uber app trip receip is not available. It's showing error in this trip receip. Fate of mailing uber for this recipet from 20 days. Still not able to provide me my trip receipt.
                              I need my trip receipt or refund my money in case they are not able to provide my trip receipt.

                                I have taken a trip on 30-12-17. Due to few issues, money wasn't debited through paytm and i paid in cash. After 3 months of the trip, money was debited from my paytm wallet.

                                When ihave contacted the help centre they stated that they can't help me as the trip was completed 3 months ago. I asked them stating that if the trip is completed 3 months ago, why is money debited yesterday. After that, i tried contacting the uber help team. None of them are responding.

                                  An uber driver driving tn 11 v 3607 was driving recklessly on the road. He almost hit a bike and also was switching lanes without indication and driving fast. On top of it, he swore at us while overtaking.

                                  I believe uber takes actions against its drivers. I know i didn’t take this ride but he was having a family in his car. Not sure how far his passengers would complain about him.

                                  Please take action.

                                      First of all the driver arrived at 6.50, the uber was booked at 6.29 and showed 12 minutes wait... Second pick up was from belapur itself, the driver waited for 15 minutes for the second passenger to board in... The third pick up was from belapur however both drops were at koparkhairane towards the interiors. The expected arrival for me was showing as 7.40 however i only reached powai at 8.42, absolutely unacceptable... Why did the driver wait for 15 minutes for second pick up and then why were the other drops towards interior. I would like a refund... Delay of 10 to 15 minutes is acceptable... But delay can't be more than an hour... I already raised this complaint with uber... Initially they sent me standard responses apologizing however when i asked for compensation for the delay, they sent me a mail that other team would get back to me

                                      Post which i resent them my initial complaint, yet no one has bothered to replied till date.

                                      I understand that uberpool has certain delay associated with it since its a shared cab service. However it definitely doesn't take 2 hours to reach from belapur to powai, the estimated time of arrival shown by uber was 7:40, i reached only by 8.42. Can someone compensate for this delay of an hour. If we do not reach the uberpool cab within 5 to 6 minutes of the arrival, the trip is canceled and we are charged a fee, why cant it be vice-versa.

                                      Moreover, in this case, the driver came late for pickup, waited for 15 minutes at the location of 2nd pick up and then the drops of co-passenger loaction were in the interiors of koparkhairaine

                                      Worst part, uber does not take any action inspite of complaining apart from sending standard responses.

                                      Take action and compensate for delay of an hour.

                                        Uber charging from us toll fee twice. Drivers are asking us to pay the toll fee. But after the trip again we are charged by uber. And they are adding service fee also for this. For example for 45rs toll fee we need to pay 47rs. And looting 2 rs extra every time. For 135 rs we need to pay 141 rs 6rs this time.

                                        This is what they are doing. You need to create awareness about toll fee for your drivers or else leave it to customer, he can choose toll route or normal route.
