I had booked taxi to go to airport on 25/07 from home at 5 am. First got a message the taxi will arrive in 8 minutes. Then no response. Waited long and booked ola and reached airport (To board my 7 am flight). To my shock i get a message from uber that they charged rs.379.16 for a ride not taken. Much more shocking was that i did not take the ride and route was entirely different.
I want to file a criminal complaint against uber. They have not reversed the amount and apologised.
Also uber has now a nasty habit, you book a cab you will get a message that taxi will arrive in 2 minutes. When you call the driver, he will say that he is in midst of another trip, in opposite direction and will take atleast 15 minutes. If you cancel uber charges you.. This is again a fradulent approach.
User be aware and be careful, donot depend on uber for emergencies or airport.

There is a problem when I book...when I enter a drop location I get a call from the driver from the drop location instead of the pickup location..

    From last few days i observing that upon booking on uber strange thing happening, often showing different time before and after booking, and it happening multiple time.

    Just to say more about this, me and my friend goes to avani mall and we see cab 2 mins away from mall so we booked but upon booking it showing 15 mins distance from cab / waiting time. This must be stopped as they ware fooling user like us by this.

    I am trying to reset password since last week, as I forgot password but system shows your email is not recognised and when trying for sign up it shows ur mobile no already exist more than 50 msgs sent to help centre but no help provided by them pls help as earliest possible
    Pls help me. I search uber cab but reached the cab I see another driver. So I am not gone with us.

      Yesterday 20th july 2017 in morning 8.33 am I booked a ride with uber cab services during my journey driver made an unplanned stop without letting me know when asked about this he started talking non sense .
      Driver name is anil.
      I complained about this to uber india as well but not got any satisfactory response.
      Please do the needful.

      Offers and promo codes are send on nos, but at the time o[censored]se it says invalid .

        I cannot update my mobile number for my uber account, i have been connected with customer care on the app, but keep getting generic replies and no action.

        They also keep asking for a photo-copy of a government id proof, which is not covered under uber's privacy policy, i think.

        Do resolve this as soon as possible, i would rather stick with uber than move to ola.

          I am a uber rider for more than last one year. On 17.07.2017 i got a msg from uber regarding extension o[censored]ber pass option on my id till 28.07.2017. But suddenly on 25.07.2017 uber pass option has withdrawn from my id without prior intimation. How could a reputed company like uber back from his written service without intimating its costomer. I feel cheated.

              I booked an uber from 34 rnrc ghat road, shibpur to bika banquet. Fare displayed rs.99 during booking uber pass. I didnt ask driver to take any route. He choosed his route by himself. When i booked uber cab there was no surge charge showing. Time travelled was approx 70 min. Bt fare chart showing travelled time 106 min, 2.2x surge price and fare charged from me was 801/- instead of 99/-. When i asked driver (No.-[protected]) for uber service centre no. Instead of giving no. He misbehaved and asked me to give money and said 'rupya toh dena hi padega nai toh utarne nai dege'. Driver had dropped me brij dham housing complex instead of booked location-bika banquet. It was raining so heavily yesterday but he asked money and said leave his car. When i mailed uber customer service, their reply was pathetic. They said they have charged correctly, they are blaming me instead of blaming his driver. They said i had taken another route so they are not going to refund my money. I want my money back. My no.[protected] (Nisha joshi).

                I had booked from home to airport... Vehicle did not come, used by some one
                And i have billed rs.379.
                It is wrong, secondly it will create a false trip, this is criminal.

                Uber now has the habit of booking a trip even when the cab is used by some one else. It will show 3 minutes for arrival, if you contact the driver, hew will say that it will take another 15 mintues, as he is on another tip..
                This has ahppened so many times, if you try to cancel, the charge.
                Uber should pay the customer 5 times the amount if the driver accepts and cancels. We cannot rrely for aiprort or emergencies..

                  It happened on 24/07/2017. I was shown ₹59.10 when i booked my uber cab. I applied a coupon for rs 50 off and it was valid too. As soon as i completed my ride driver charged me rs 110 the trip fare shown in the receipt but actually the total fare is ₹0.00 according to the app's receipt as my ₹59.10 was debited from my uber credits also. Driver be fooled me as i didnt saw my receipt that time. Since i called him at the time of booking i was having his number so i messaged him but no reply came from his side. And this is not the first time this is happening with me. Its a 3rd incident in a row. I would like a refund by any how. You can clearly see in receipt that trip total fare was ₹109.10, discount for coupon of ₹50 has also been given and rest remaining charge has been debited from my uber credits ₹59.10 which in turn gives ₹0.00 so why the hell he charged me the trip fare ₹109.10. I would like a refund by paytm or by cash or by uber credits but i need it as soon as possible. Worst experience in a row for 3rd time.

                    He has visited our decathlon store in bannerghatta and while i was busy attending a customer, he has laid hands on my iphone which was on a shelf and switched the phone off and slid it into his pocket. He did not accept the fact that he had a bad intention (Theft) taking somebody else's phone and even switching it off. He was stopped at the entrance of the store asking to remove the phone from his pocket and he did. He claims to have taken the phone in order to return it to the watchman which he never intended to do. A phone found in such case is atleast expected to be returned to crm (Customer relationship management) desk but he was found outside the store with my phone. My phone was found switched off when taken from him. I require you take serious action on him and i shall follow up on the same. Such an act was totally not expected from your employees in this world growing with time. Please follow up with me on [protected]@yahoo.com. This issue shall be considered very serious to me. Please address it.

                      On 23rd july 2017, at 8:54 pm, i rode with uber from 12th cross, cubbonpete to ms royal apartment, arekere.
                      I had a rs. 100 off and before booking, the app showed me an estimate of rs. 77.91
                      However, when i got off, the driver showed me rs. 177 on his phone while my phone still showed rs. 77.91, so i had to pay the extra rs.100
                      The same issue happened earlier that day in the afternoon at 2:38 pm, while traveling from sg palya to arekere with the same offer.
                      I was charged rs. 124 instead of rs. 24, while my side of the app still shows that rs. 24 only was paid.
                      On lodging a complaint, uber credited rs. 100 to my account
                      And now since the problem happened again, they are not willing to refund the money.

                      I think this is a highly unfair action on your part
                      The promo code was applied.
                      The app showed rs. 77.91 on my side
                      But differed on the driver's side.
                      This is clearly the fault of the app and i will not stand it.

                      Attached are pictures of the trip taken before the ride at 8:53 pm, after the ride was complete which shows that the price was supposed to be rs. 77.91 and the response i got from the uber customer care line.

                      I'm sure if they check the driver's app, they would see that i was charged rs.177 instead of just rs.77 as he himself showed us his phone as i couldn't believe him when he said that.

                      The response i've received is pathetic, even after trying to explain the whole situation over and over.

                        When i book uber cab, on my app it says "request failed". I do not get any details of the driver/car. I try 2 -3 times and same message appears. After 10-15 mins i get a call from driver about my ride. By that time, i booked another cab and left. I got charged once rs 83 and another time rs 60 as cancellation charges. I do not understand why uber charges cancellation charges when i don't get any details of confirmation.

                        This is straight cheatting in my opinion. This happened to me multiple times.

                          Yesterday i booked a cab and i got a confirmation, while am calling the driver he said he got a another appointment so he guide me to cancel so i jus cancelled and booked a another appointment. But i charged extra of rs.52.. Reason conveyed by other driver if we are cancelling you get a charges but am not aware of that. I didn't get any notification also. I need that amount to be refund and that cab driver name is saravanan and his contact no is [protected] from chennai.

                            I am not able to link my account nothing work, uber support also just ask verify mobile number which i did several times but they are not taking any action and i am worried as my card is linked to that account, which i want to remove. But still no support from uber guys.

                            The only thing i want is to delete my account. And remove all my details from your database including my card details

                            I have advance booked ubergo on the night of 20/7/17 for 9:15 am of 21/7/12.While booking the cost of the fare showed Rs.135-Rs.150.But after reaching the destination the driver asked 333.57 which is too high.Please refund the excess money.Email :[protected]@gmail.com, PH:[protected].                               Sir, i go to jalandhar by pass chowk ludhiana from my house and same day i come back home from jalandhar bye paas chowk. Both times when i book the cab the uber go show me 49/- rs. Fare charges but actually first time they charged 49/- rs. & second time they charged me 99/- rs. Why the price is different of two fares of same distance? And can i get my money back?

                                Booked taxi from race course to ajmera infinity. Taxi allotted was in 3 mins reach taxi drove away to 28 mins arrival time driver did not take 8 calls from me and finally i had to cancel & rebook
                                Your first driver did not reach for 40 mins and now you want to charge me extra for poorest device given by you. Shameful indeed
                                Instead of feeling sorry for poor sevice provided by you / misbehavior of your driver by not reporting thus leading to cancellation now you want to charge me for new bookings

                                I got a promo code on 17.07.17 which was supposed to be valid till 24th July, 2017 and applicable to 10 rides. But, Uber has removed the promo code today itself (18.07.17) after using 2 rides. This is not the first time uber has done this. I have suffered the same problem couple of months back also. Uber should stop this kind of intolerable thing.

                                  I was travelling with uber on 23.07.2017 at 00:36 from netaji subhash chandra airport and was driving to new town. I missed my newly bought samsung on 8 phone in cab. While getting down from cab realized that i missed the phone in cab and tried calling the driver named swapan with tata bolt with vehicle no.337. Since the doors were closed and it was raining he did not listen and went.
                                  Then immediately i tried calling the driver but he said he did not find any phone.
                                  Then we told him to come back so that i can check once as i was sure that i left it in cab only. He came after around 20-25 minutes although it could have taken him only 5 10 minute to come back as we called him immediately and he was nearby.

                                    I booked 5 trips yesterday afternoon.

                                    All five trips drivers will start the trip without even picking me up and end the trip abruptly. I am waiting for me cab and it suddenly says your trip was completed even without me taking the trip.

                                    It happened 5 times in a row. On top of that, drivers even gave me bad rating for fun i believe. Point is i never called those drivers neither did i met them.

                                    My ratings went down and i was mentally frustrated because those 5 trips i got same driver twice who was mischievous.

                                    I complain uber and they are not doing anything about it. They just send me pre formed emails repeatedly on whatever i ask. They are not making things right.

                                      I am a frequent user o[censored]ber. I use it twice daily to go to my office and come back. But i had a very bad experience yesterday when i had to cancel uber trips for few times including both uberpass and ubergo and was finally showing error saying you have cancelled too many trips. Each time the nearby uber time shown was 5-6 minutes but the drivers refused to come and said they are too far and might take around half an hour or more to reach there. So in that case is there any other option except cancelling the trip. I relied on uber but this was really not expected from your services. I had a great experience with uber after using ola but now i think the services have degraded and really disappointed with this. If there are no nearby cabs available, the time should not be shown as such. Moreover this is not expected for your daily customers.

                                        I booked uber from hanuman camp for sardarnagar and waited for taxi, though it was raining heavily and there was no shelter so i was totally wet & shivering with cold, being 66years old.
