Hi,

I am a consumer of videocon d2h. My customer id no is 77943190 and my connection has been manipulated in the past for 2 to 3 times in the last 2 years. The below instances will highlight the issues i have faced:

1. My rtn (Registered telephone number) was changed from [protected] to [protected] (This is a delhi number as per the attached image).

2. D2h cinema and smart games add on pack was activated on my d2h account on july 22, 2015 with the consent & receipt of request form the changed registered telephone number [protected].

As per my conversation with the customer care of videocon d2h (E-mail chain attached) they have mentioned that my original rtn was [protected] at the time of installation dated october 04, 2012 which was changed to [protected] on july 22, 2015.

On august 22, 2015 i realised that d2h cinema add on pack was active for my connection as i accidentally visited the said channel and immediately i cancelled the subscription for d2h cinema. At the same time i changed my rtn back to [protected] as this is my number and not [protected].

On march 08, 2016 i realised that smart games add on pack was active for my connection when i was recharging my account (This was since july 22, 2015, when the rtn was changed from [protected] to [protected]) and immediately i cancelled the subscription for smart games.

I seek to receive refund for d2h cinema and smart games add on packs. Also the company should put stringent verification process in place such as otp before doing any said changes to the account or account information.

Hi team,
As you correctly mentioned my number [protected] was updated as registered mobile number at the time of installation dated october 04, 2012. I have not changed my number so why would i change the registration number.
Also to bring to your notice that your process of verifying the customer id, or satellite card number or serial number is faulty as anyone knowing a customer id of other user will be able to change the registered number at their convenience. Hence the fault is at your end that you changed my registered number.
Please improve the process by sending otp to the registered number or mail id for the account details to be changed.
Also i will have to raise a consumer complain if the matter is not solved.
Hence request you to please refund my money in the account at the earliest.

You should be having a verification code being sent to the registered mobile number or email id before changing the details.

Feedback : with great displeasure i am writing this letter to you. I am a consumer of videocon d2h. My customer id no is 77943190 and my connection has been manipulated in the past for 2 to 3 times in the last 2 years. The below instances will highlight the issues i have faced. In 2014/2015 my id got activated with extra add-on for smart games and d2h cinema automatically. I got the d2h cinema deactivated, but i was not informed that the smart game add-on is still activated. I would like to get the details of the add-ons being activated from my end. Please provide the log details of the same for me to verify that i had asked for the add-on services. In the meanwhile while talking to your representative i learnt that my registered mobile number was automatically changed. Can you please provide the log details of the same as well with details about how and when it happened? Just to bring to your notice i have also replaced my set top box as the earlier box used to give error message smart card not inserted properly (E04-4). I think my account has been manipulated and i have not received the services as per expectations. I have recharged my account on 8th march, 2016 with the annual new diamond package where i should be receiving extra 30 days and the due date should be 8th april, 2017 instead of 25th march, 2017 which is currently being reflected on my account. Request you to kindly look into the issue at the earliest. A prompt and quick reply would be really appreciated.     I have complain twice but they are not ready to solve my problem. Complaint No[protected] I have the recording for the same. 1st time they said will solve this in 24 hours on 23rd Mar. But till date they are unable to solve my problem. They have wrongly deducted my 900 rs. Spoken to - Surmal Solanki, Supervisor - Virendra.
    On 25th mar again i spoke to videocon and in between the conversation they disconnected the call.
    Today on 28th March, Mr. Dilip the supervisor again disconnected the call. First he kept me on hold for twice and then suddenly he disconnected the call.

    I am unable to understand why they are taking so long time.

    No one is helping me, please help me consumer forum.

    Yesterday again i received a call from Manager of Videocon Mr. Rehman.
    He said will solve the problem by today 4.41 Pm.
    But till now its not solved nor i received and call from them.

    They says that the call which i made for deactivating the service is not able to receive easily. so it will take time. Such a un reasonable excuse are received from Manager.

    Does Videocon take 7 days to solve one problem?

    Can you tell me why my complain is not solved from 7days?

    For one single complain I have received 4 complain number. Each time 24hrs is said and not solved anytime nor received any feedback.

    1st Complain No –[protected] – 23rd March
    2nd Complain No –[protected] – 26th March
    3rd Complain No –[protected] – 27th March
    4th Complain No –[protected] – 28th March

    Apart from this why Videocon Executive and Supervisor disconnect the call.

    Even Videocon Manager Mr. Rehman – Mob No – [protected], he said me will call back me in 24 hrs on 28th Mar. Till now I have not received the call. If the Manager fails after commitment where should we go?

    Request you to solve this ASAP.

      Iam Syed Noor Mohammed your customer who have purchased a refrigerator bearing Model No: VCL314/300 Ltrs, 2 years back. Iam very disappointed with your company product because after purchasing with in a year refrigerator got a cooling problem then your technician change some part then after few month again i got the same problem then again i repaired it by paying amount to the technician. Now iam facing same problem from yesterday refrigerator is not getting cooling. Iam unable to understand what kind of products your company is manufacturing every year i need to repair this product.

      I used LG refrigerator for 8 years not even single problem i got in 8 years but i made a big mistake by purchasing your product first time.

      Iam going to write in each a every paper about your companies product failure this is the worst experience for me to use videocon and iam going to make a complaint in consumer forum also for this issue. Videocon company is cheating with the customers by manufacturing this kind of products.

      In this summer season we are facing problem just because of your refrigerator iam very unhappy with your product.

      Please change this refrigerator as iam getting same problem again and again there is no sense for using your product if it is giving same problem other wise iam going back to purchase LG product.

      Please try to resolve this issue as early as possible waiting for your positive response

        Dear Team,
        As, I am using your service for the last 8 months and I am facing many problems from your side, my Card no. is"[protected]" in the name of Sumit Talwar.

        After complaining so many times and even talk to the Supervisor the result is "ZERO". No one whether your supervisor or engineer are helpful to resolve the problem. As per your Supervisor it will be rectified within 02 hrs after talking to her (Ms.Mansi).I had made the call around 16:00hrs, but still till now no respone from your side. As, per her the engineer will call me, but till now no-one has approach me.

        I have made complaint on 26th Mar'16, your engineer come to my home and rectified the problem, after he had left from my place within 5 mins the problem again come and its again show the same thing Single are not coming.

        So, after again the call center again they the engineer will visit you to your house within 24 hours.So, this the ridiculous thing when I am complaining within 05 mins it should be rectified at the same moment, as your engineer is within the same area. But the no one have taken such steps, if this is your customer care service than I will give minus point to you.

        If you are not able to provide us the service, than I will go for some one else (like TATA SKY or Airtel).

          I've subscribed for star sports package for a month.I don't need it anymore. Your agent is sayin that the package will be subscribed for 2 more months.I don't want this package for another 2 months. This package is unwanted for another 2 months so why would we give cash for that???????????
          I want this package to get unsubscribed for another 2 months right now. Otherwise I'm going to take strict steps against this.
          Give me my cash of RS 60 which you have taken from my recent recharge. And make sure that this package will be unsubscribed for another two months.

            This to customer service they told me that you had upgraded your pack.but my complain is that as soon as I recharge my DTH that time itself I got less validity, it happen on regular basis I have to call for my exact validity. Customer care executive talks very roughly.I asked for complain no. They told me they can't. Why it is so.if I need a complaint no. Or reference no. For my query Why they are not ready to give.?

                Location: Bangalore North (Yelahanka)
                Delivery on March 19. Registered same day with Videocon Service Centre for installation. Received a call from them confirming that the installation will be done on March 21. Every day since, we have to call them to remind that nobody has shown up. No response for one week. Filed a complaint (number BAN[protected]) with Branch Manager Mr. Bhaskar. No response.

                  Hi All,

                  I recently upgraded from standard definition box to HD box from videocon d2h. As per the offer from videocon i should get all the HD channels free for 12 months with d2h cinema free for 2 months. i am not getting neither of these. I am getting only few HD channels. I have called several times customer care and send emails for these and they are telling some terms and conditions which i was not aware of before installing. As per them i am getting HD channels as per my base package. Which they are telling after installation. Now i am ready to upgrade my base package to get all HD channels for 12 months, customer care denied this as well. I want to return the HD box and don't want to continue the service still they are not returning the product. I am experiencing a very bad customer service experience in this case. This is my last complaint for the same. Below are my problems in brief as a customer now.

                  1. Customer service did not inform me clearly about all terms and conditions before HD box up-gradation and they are not accepting their mistake.
                  2. I want to upgrade the package to get all HD channels free from videocon d2h as an offer but this option also they are not accepting.
                  3. I want to return the product which was installed on[protected] and want to return my money paid during installation, this also they are not accepting.

                  As a customer i was not aware the terms and conditions which i came to know afterwards and no where in the website also these terms and conditions mentioned. How a customer will come to know these things if it is not clear from customer care and website?

                  Please do proper judgement on this in my case. Might be many customers are facing the same issue.

                          Hi Sir i am using Videocon D2H, HD STB since last 2 Years. the time there was a Software Update from Videocon the box has started hanging up. it hangs up 4 to 5 times daily and we have to restart the box everytime. when i switched on my TV n STB after 10 min it stable n then giving service. its just time wasting. last 2 times i complained but ur engineers has not visiting there. that they will charge 170 Rs for visiting.we have tried calling the customer service and they say the engineer will attend but it will be chargeable.i dont understand why should the customer pay for the fault of the company.its Videocons issue as it started after the software upgrade and its their responsibility to provide better service and better solution.but the attitude of the customer service people is not good.
                          I would request someone responsible from the company to look into issue...or the government should step into issues like these where the Customers are being taken on a ride by Companies who just look to take money from the Customers instead of providing better service.or please take your box away and return my full money...

                            Many channels are not coming properly some for some time then stops.
                            Complaints to set it right, vidiocon asks me to pay Rs150/- service charges.
                            Having paid installation charges and paying regular channel charges is it not the companies responsibility to see that the channels subscribed are properly transmitted.

                              Growing concern over an unethical behavior to earn those extra revenue from a customer. A tendency is seen similar to VAS activations by mobile operators.

                              Instance 1.
                              After having opted for a plan change (from current to monthly 199 plan) which was confirmed by help desk could find later that it continues in the old plan and tried reaching call centre to understand what went wrong? typical reply was such request is not received. Later on requesting to have it changed their reply was since your balance is exhausted we cant do a plan change and you need to recharge for the same. I started recharging for only Rs50/100 post that instance with a thought of leaving this service and was planning to complaint on the experience. Post recharges also the plan change request is not seen processed. Till date it continues on the old plan.

                              Instance 2.
                              Since my parents often find the service interrupted since i keep recharging for minimal amount, off late of this nuisance this week i recharged for Rs300/- and to my surprise i could find my service is again interrupted now for the reason not even call centre is able to rectify. Now they have commented a technician need to visit the house and get the same rectified for which they will charge Rs170/-
                              This is a daylight robbery by the brand since no such instance occurred when i kept on continuing a minimal balance. Now even if i object for the payment they can deduct it from the balance i hold and also they keep deducting for the days of non operation as well.

                              With the service been offered a technical hitch cropped up _ should it be born by the customer??
                              Why would the complaint crop up only when my balance is sufficient enough for the brand to deduct??

                              This as a layman feels like being cheated and also breach of customer contract where in unethical practice is been followed by the company to earn extra bucks for their benefit.

                              Looking forward to a reply and how would the issue be addressed

                                  Must say the customer care of videocon D2h is only super active when the subscription has to be renewed. post that there is absolutely no after services provided. the customer care number is always busy, i have been trying that customer care number for a month now. post putting a mail there was a response and confirmation that an engineer will be provided. the engineer called after a days time and confirmed that he will reach on time to the location. but post that have been trying to call the engineer but he is also not answering calls.

                                  PATHETIC customer service they have, i have never witnessed such a low level of service with any of brand services that i have availed so far.

                                    Here is the message I sent the company people:

                                    I and my family own a Videocon Smart tv LED VKG40FH, serial no:[protected] with a 3 yr extended warranty that we bought on 14/7/2014. Since more than a month, I have been experiencing some problems with the display of the tv. I first lodged a complaint with your service centre on 2/2/16 and was given a ref no MUM[protected]. A technician was sent over to identify the problem and do the needful. He told us that the service centre would get back to us within 10 days. On 19/2/16 we called the service centre again to find out why nothing was done yet. To our surprise we found out that our complaint was lodged under the name of Vicky (no such person exists in our house) and was already closed. So we had to register another complaint with ref no MUM[protected]. Another technician was sent over and identified a panel problem. He told us the problem would be attended to within 10 days and gave us the number of service in charge, Jitu. After a couple of days, I got a message saying that my complaint has been closed. I got in touch with Jitu who requested me to get in touch with the service centre and request them to re-open my complaint. As if all this was not troublesome enough, now your agent calls and tells us that our tv can be replaced with another tv that costs 40000rs, while we bought our tv for 30000rs. He forgot to mention that we had given an old tv in working condition in exchange. He said we would have to bear the extra cost. This would suggest that you are unable to honour your own warranty. Extremely unsatisfied with your service. If you want to cancel the sales deed return our old tv with the paid amount and take back your goods, otherwise honour your warranty without any further delay. We have had enough of Videocon!

                                      Hi, on 28th Jan'2016 I've raised a request for shifting the connection to new address and till now it's not been done. I've followed up with the customer care and assigned service engineers and they made me to wait hours after hours almost 7-8 times at the previous address for the un-installation process. But not a single time they turned up at the place. I waited and came back home.
                                      However, the customer care did not forgot to mention every time that I need to pay 300 rs and I need to carry the dish antenna and cable myself whereas no apology/action was shown towards resolving the request.
                                      I demand full refund of my money (deposit+ set top box amount ) else I'll be moving to Consumer Court within a week with all the evidences and call records. I'm ready to return set top box/ antenna(I'll not take the responsibility o[censored]n-installation/if stolen from old address)

                                      After 40 days finally the d2h is shifted and installed at the new address. So much harassment, false commitments, and the irritating promo calls that recharge your account..blah blah. Never ever will recommend Videocon to anyone.

                                      I got a call yesterday from [protected] number and then they told I'll get a call today after 8.30am for the uninstall and install which never happened I called them again and they have given another number of a person called Girish ([protected]) who told me he'll call me after 1 hour. I'm sure he won't call me smile emoticon Oh and he also mentioned I need to carry the Antenna myself and need to pay 300rs . Bravo Videocon d2h you surprise me everyday smile emoticon.
                                      Update: Waiting from last 2 hours and as usual no call from Gitrish.

                                      Finally the D2h was shifted and installed at the new address. It hardly took 2 hours to complete the process and you guys took 40days to complete it! Hope someday you'll understand the term Customer Satisfaction.
