Complaint No. DEL [protected] dt. 21.07.09 reg. videocon referigerator Model C30 ltr and also complaint No. DEL [protected] dt. 28.07.09 registered witht he Videocon Service Centre
I have videocon referigerator c30 (300 ltr) and had been working to my satisfaction. Recently, it stopped working and I lodged a complaint for the same on 21.07.09. An engineer attended to the complaint on 22.07.09 and the compressor was changed & gas refilled on 23.07.09 on payment of Rs 4000/- vide cash memo No. 1963 dt. 23.07.09 of Videocon, Naharpur, Delhi. The referigerator stopped working just after four days.
On 28.07.09, a complaint was again got registered with the service call centre. An engineer visited on 29.07.09 and told that the compressor is not working. He was requested to get the fault rectified as the compressor, as per cash receipt above mentioned, was under guarantee for one year and a three months guarantee was also provided for the refilled gas.
Thereafter, the trauma began. We have been making calls repeatedly to the service centre and also to the videocon office. Even a personal visit on 01.08.2009 from my residence at Rohini to Videocon office at Okhla has been made by husband, Shri H.C. Grover who is a senior citizen, only to get fake assurance by one Ms Ritu that the fault shall be rectified latest by 8th August. On 9th August also, I called her up to remind about the promise so made and also got to speak to Shri Subhash, Area Sales Manger (# [protected]). Shri Subhash assured that the problem will be sorted out by the evening i.e. 9th August evening.
Today is 13th August. I probably have exhausted all the channels at Videocon. Wherever I call, my phone is not picked. When I called from a new telphone number, my phone was banged the moment I was recognised. The only course I am open to now, is to move to the Consumer Forum and media. It seems that the authorities at Videocon (at all levels) have failed to realize how difficult it is to remain without a referigerator in this scorching weather. The money has been paid by us but service to my satisfaction is not being provided by Videocon. Kindly register my complaint.

Videocon Color TV — Dealer asks ransom for early service delivery or wait infinitely for free service depite TV stopped working in just one month
I had bought Videocon color television Model CTV VID-29 CTVK29 3084 on Aug 30, 2008 from Next retail showroom, Murbad Road, Kalyan(w). It stopped working on October 14, 2008. I registered complaint on the same day at Next retail Showroom.my Complaint number is[protected]. Technician had visited on Oct 16, 2008 at my home and had taken Television board to service center. He again came to place that board into my television on Oct 18, 2008 but after attaching board he came to know that problem was not solved and TV was not working even after second visit. He claimed that circuit was burnt because of lightening despite the fact that complaint was lodged on the same day the problem occurred when sky was dry and there was no rains at all.
Now the Videocon Dealer (Agra Road Kalyan) is saying unethically that if you want this get repaired then pay Rs. 4000 or wait infinitely to get repair for free.
His technician is not so technically sound to analyze the problem in my TV. If it was lightening case then his technician should have noticed in first visit. Why he took 4 days to come to conclusion that it is a lightening case, Since he was not able to analyze the cause he is just describing it as lightening case without any proper reason. This case is nothing but the faulty TV delivered to me by NEXT outlet
This is pathetic experience with Videocon on the eve of Diwali.
one more complaint i have against Next outlet as following up with Videocon is their job as I had bought from them and they had committed for service. Next is not at all helping me in this case.
One of the Next employee had also commented that why did you buy Videocon these are cheap and that’s why doesn’t work after few days.I don’t have any proof of this but this is dangerous comment I had received over the phone while doing follow ups. If someone just trace my calls from AirTel then one would get its proof.
