The following complaint was repeated sent to Videocon last year but no response is there:

I purchased a color TV of VIDEOCON MAKE model No 5303 R way back in 1991. The set was excellect and gave excellect performance. With time, of course, its performance declined and it went for repairs a few times at various authorised centres of Videocon (it was never repaired at any local repair shop).

Last October it was given to an authorised Service Centre designated for our locality at Curewell Electronics at Shakarpur, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi, which the Company one fine day later denotified from its list of "authorised centres". This Centre charged us Rs 1500/- for some repairs which it promised it will execute in Rs 1000/- (approx). The work done, to use a euphimism, was utterly shoddy, and old troubles kept on recurring till the set totally stopped functioning. I had been drawing the attention of the Company officials to the unscrupulous dealings of the Centre - they (the Centre) attempted to sell me a remote for the set in which many functions did not work and the ones that worked were not related to my model. The repair work did not last for even 3/4 months and the Set was back to ICU in another 'clinic'. I had paid Rs 1, 500/- for NO JOB DONE AT ALL. The Company's area officials did not help either. The Centre did not even issue a proper receipt!!!

In the second 'authorised Clinic' at Swasthya Vihar, where I had to carry the Set personally, as they said that my residential area did not come in their purview, after examination they advised me to go in for a 'conversion' (not religious, of course) of the set whereby they will replace everything inside except the picture tube for around Rs 4, 000/-. And the work will be over in 2/3 days.

I agreed for the conversion and understood that I will collect the CONVERTED SET in 2/3 days. I stressed on this since I was scheduled to proceed for official work out of Delhi for a month and I will not be able to come to collect the set if the Centre took more than more than that period. The Centre assured me that 2/3 days is all it will take to complete the job failing which they will undertake to transport the set at my residence without any cost to me.

However, here again, as things go with these Centres (& tailors too), after 2/3 days they told me that the conversion kit was in short supply and it will take a week more.

To cut a long story short, the final delivery was done after 3/4 weeks and I was NOT IN DELHI AND THEY DID DELIVER THE SET BUT CHARGED AROUND Rs 250/-.

Now for the quality of the converted set:

- The Cabinet is of very poor quality - the power switch really needs to be pressed hard to on/off the TV.
- The picture quality is poor
- After switching on initially for 3/4 seconds there is a reddish/blue tint which vanishes after sometime
- The remote is not of a good quality, it appears that an old one was fobbed off
- The panel buttons get jammed sometimes
- There is reddish tinge on horizontal lines
- The picture size is defective, and some more...

When told of the problems their service engineers made a visit but could not rectify them & the Clinic coolly informed me that the set would have to be brought to the Centre again.

The complaint which was registered has not been closed by ME till date though I understand the 'clinics' close the files UNILATERELLY if they find themselves unable to deal with cases.

Well this is SOMETHING!

Imagine, the Centre made me spend Rs 4, 000/- and then again Rs 250/- for transportation... (THIS IS IN ADDITION TO THE EARLIER Rs 1, 500 SPENT BY ME WHICH THE COMPANY SHOULD REFUND TO ME) Now again I must take time off from my office & spend on petrol to deliver the set again for a rotten work done by them for which they should take full responsibility. When they should have ensured that a defectless new converted set is delivered, they have no compunction in demanding that I should bring the Set.

If there are defects relating to THAT work done it should be their responsibility and the consumer should not be put to inconvenience.

What I would like to know is if this is the official position of VIDEOCON or their "CLINICS" are taking us for a ride.

And charging us for it.

Sir, the Organisation mission expression “To delight and deliver beyond expectation…”, excites when one reads the words, but the step motherly treatment given to ordinary customers like me is indeed quite disheartening and when we talk to our acquaintances & other circle and the talk veers around to gizmos we own, brands like Sony, LG, Panasonic, HP etc are mentioned as a matter of pride. But (we own two CTVs of Videocon make) it becomes difficult to mention VIDEOCON in the same genre and one generally tends to keep quiet...

Sir, I am constrained to send the CC to the CEO as I have frankly reached a point of no return with the local service centre which handled my problem as it just refuses to own up any responsibility for the poor work done by them. I also do not have the time to spare for pursuing the matter with the local office as the Centre refuses to divulge the address and I have office to attend to. My complaint is still pending (as I have not put my signatures on the "satisfactory column") I would like to request VIDEOCON TO ADVISE THE CENTRE TO PUT A SATISFACTORY CLOSURE TO MY GRIEVANCE/COMPLAINT.

    Not working properly since date of purchase.

    I have purchased the above mentioned product on 22/04/08 from M/s HI-TECH SYSTEMS in Bhubaneswar. From that i am running from post to pillar to get the AC worked properly . Till now i have already registered complain about 12/13 times . Every time mechanic are coming and repairing it and after 1/2 day's, again same story repeated. This process is continuing for last 1 year. The latest being complain no . BBS[protected] dated 05/03/2009.br...

    I purchased a semi automatic washing machine on 24th Jan 2009 (book no. 21, Bill no. 2022) from Jain Enterprises, F-24/11, sector 3 Rohini Delhi-85. From day 1, we noticed a break in the wash tub. In spite of several complaints to the company, service centre and dealer, nothing has been done to replace the wash tub. My last complaint no. was DEL [protected] dt 3-3-2009. Twice the technician came and noted the details of machine but nothing has been done yet. They say that the part is not available.

      my complant no is CHE[protected] all moust 40 days gone. till this day the above complant was not solve. i have given saverl reminder to you call center. as follow.

      all saying one your complant will get slove with in 2days,

      how many 2days gone..

      Washing Machine, model Multi 6000 — Washing machine is not working

      I had purchase Multi 6000 washing machine in 2007. Recently the machine is not working. I already lodged a complaint at customer care centre vide no. VAI[protected] on[protected]. I tried locally also. But nobody responded still now. Hence I would request you please look into the matter and rectify the problem.

        Dear Sir,
        i have purchased a washing Machine, of Vediocon/Electrolux in the m/o may 2007, the timer of and spin selector of washing machine is not working since the m/o nov. 2008, i have registered the complaned with the call center of vediocon on 30th nov. 2008, the complained no. is 5A[protected].

        videocon / electrolux — not working

        not working properly
        Hi, I have purchased the washing machin elactrolux in last Oct'08. I's not working as expected . Please see to it.

        To my knowledge videocon washing machin come with 2 year warranty. Since your warranty has expired company is no longer obliged to repair it. Although u can ask for repair by calling thier center

          Dearsirs,
          I have purchased a ctv Videocon set bearing.no
          on 27/2/08, Along with someother items in this regard, i recieved warranty asssurance from the dealer M/s Galaxy, vizag.

          After a time certain defects were cropped up for Tv set and i lodged complaints from time to time and the rectification prolonged for six occassion and yet the service centre M/s Quality electronics Vsp, Authorised service centre couldn't...

            My videocon 29 inch tv when v had brought in 2006 it worked just fine .It developed a problem in 2008 july, which was a kind of buzzing sound. this sound was initially less but then this sound graduaaly increased now its very irritating there is echo of the voices also. we cant hear the dialogues etc clearly.
            my tv is under extended warrentyso i called for the service man who said he will get the damaged part replaced from the company and had come 13 days back with the part. but while fitting the part he noticed another problem with some other part after which the tv is not starting only. i have been calling this idiotic service man who switches off his phone once i call or if he picks up he says it will be repaired just then he is on his way to my house, but never turns up.
            please help me.

                I have bought a fully automatic Vediocon Washing Machine (model K5800) on 9th February 2007 from Vedecon Plaza, Panaji, Goa vide invoice number 3547. There were several occassions that the machine stopped working and then repaired. Its control panel was repalced. Now the drum is shaking wildely when the machine is operating in SPIN mode which end up in aborting the program and discontinue the washing process. All this happened during the warranty period. The warranty is still in force. We have used an earlier version for more than five years without any problem before we procured this fully automatic one. It looks that the machine has manufacturing fault and hence no meaning in repairing further. So would like to request you to replace the machine at the earliest. I have tried to register the complaint online by calling the toll free number suggested by the local agent. But the toll free number, as usual, will never get through. Kindly do the needful to avoid further steps from our part.

                  Dear Sir,
                  We are very sorry to inform you that we have purchased one Videocon refrigerator Product Code No. 8 REF D240SGR REF_VID-230LTR-D240SGR-SILKY GREY[protected] from NEXT RETAIL SHOP, Sector-9, and Panchkula vide Bill No 556788 Dated 25-05-08.
                  This refrigerator got some fault on[protected].Accordingly, we made a complaint at service center vide complaint No 5D[protected]at phone no[protected].Again reminded them on[protected] and then every3-4 days regularly. But every time we got a new excuse. Finally I made a phone call on Date:[protected] but the customer care made me wait on phone for another half an hour and them no one replied.I really fail to understand the poor quality of service that a branded and reputed company like Videocon is providing to its customers. I would be obliged if an early action is taken in this regard to help me overcome the mental torture that me and my family is facing. You are requested to take an immediate and serious action in this matter or I would be forced to take action in court of law.

                    Dear All,

                    I had purchased a Vediocon Semi washing machine at Bhaiya Dooj 2008 occassion from *Dealer M/s. Bharat Electronics, Najaf Garh, New Delhi *

                    When we opened the box we found Machine was DEFECTIVE in starting only. On complaint they came after 3-4 days and repaired. After it within these 3 months it got defects 9 times and now the SERVICE BOY is saying HE NEED MONEY otherwise HE WILL NOT COME TO REPAIR THE WASHING MACHINE and so he is doing the same. AFTER our so many calls they are not sending any service boy after 10 days or so.

                    What is that? if company is providing free repairs or service then how they could DEMAND MONEY from us.

                    I hope u will take action for this complaint.

                    Other wise I will take a action for the company and would sure go to CUNSUMER COURT< BAHADUR GARH< HARYANA.

                    sethi electronics — Very poor services

                    we have contacted sethi electronics, gurgaon through just dial services. First they sent out very unskilled service engg to rectify problem and left without even checking if problem has been rectified. Even though I requested them to check it and they confirmed that problem has been rectified and the reason they gave it further that let m- seal be dried up which was totally baseless. I called them again next day that problem has not been rectified and they keep on giving excuses that they are working at other important sites and are coming in another hour. They did'nt turned up on that day and came another day with the same set o[censored]mskilled people. They open up the whole ac and gave the reason of default(finally) and left with saying that they will arranging the faulty part. To add on all, the unskilled labour mishandled the whole ac and distroyed the remote mechanism. I kept on calling these people but they did'nt even picked up their phone. This is the worst service I have ever revieve from a company. Just dial should maintain some grading system for such companies so that we can call some serious companies than those who are just interested in minting money from customers. I would never recommend this sethi electronics to any body and will ask everyone to stay safe from calling this company.

                    This much I can say form my last 10 months bitter experience with Videocon-Kolkata chapter.

                    I should specify this that – time to time the actions they have taken, most are bull-sheet. This time, the Machine they have re-fitted – if you see it,
                    this is just to say ‘Worse’, looking like just a second hand – ‘kawara looking’ Machine.

                    Moreover, now, on point out ‘the bad type of re-fitting’ over telcon, some of youe Kolkata team are started to say like – “what is your harm….is it effecting your wash………” .
                    At this edge of Professionalism, is it a way to maintain the ‘Brand image’ like you?

                    As per my opinion Ms Sethi, which I am really sorry to say this to you, that – let us close this chapter, let us stop our bitter fighting on a day to day basis.
                    You better take back your Machine, return my money back and shut down the window in-between us to avoid further bitterness.

                    The sooner the better.

                    Above machine was purchased by this writer on last January'09, from Sales Emporeum, Raja S.C. Mullik Rd, Garia, Kolkata 700084

                    At the begning, I like to specify that I am an user of Videocon Washing Machine for last 15 years. I have used VNA400T for last about 15 years and after that I hv taken this Machine with an exchange offer. That earlier machine was fantastic and needless to say, on basis of 'That' good experiance, this time also I was stick on Videocon.
                    Though - some of my well wisher advised me not to take Videocon at present.

                    Now, tragedy is such, that right from the installation, I am facing trouble with this machine.

                    Spin-lid was not closing properly, spinner-tub was tilted and not spinning smoothly. Water lickage sometime form down of the spintub.

                    I complained to your local office, mechanic attended (form some Agency named - VarsaRefrigeration, 101/C, Raja Rammohan Roy Rd, Kol 8), did something on it, and the machine was rectifed someway.

                    Next few weeks after this, the unfair episode came back again. Again I complained, mechanic attended and Again it rectifed someway.

                    Now this is 3rd time, at the early June this year - there was no other way in front of me, other than logged another complaint. They (your representative as well as Varsa) told me that the machine has to be taken to workshop for through-out and Final rectification. I agreed, machine went there and I got it back on mid June'09. With rectification of those problems - But the machine came back to me with an Old-lid of was tub (which must be a set of some other Old-machine).

                    I should share with you one information, that, in between these about 5 months - time to time different persons came in the picture to take care of this baby - Mr Sutanu Basu ([protected]), Mr Anal Mukherjee ([protected]), Mr Balai De ([protected]).

                    From end of Sept09, those cronic symptoms came back again, I spoke to your Liton Street office, they referred me to Mr Sutanu Basu
                    ([protected]), I logged a formal complaint (docket ref: KLB9A08054) and this time Mr Sutanu Basu forwarded case to Mr Gopal Mukherjee ([protected]).

                    With this job docket, technicial attended on 16.10.09 and told that Videocn will revert me back on next course of action. I got a call on 21.10.09 form your land No[protected] by Mr Gopal Mukherjee ([protected]) - informed me that this case will be resolved very soon.

                    Again got a call on 26.10.09 (from[protected] and I was re-informed that the case will be resolved very soon.

                    On 9.11.09, form my side, I called Mr Gopal Mukherjee and this time Mr Mukherjee forwarded me to Mr Amal Goswami ([protected]). I spoke to Mr Goswami on 10.11.09 and he reverted me that the Machine has to re-pick-up for workshop.

                    I agreed.

                    The machine has re-collect by them for workshop after a week. This time, I hv clearly written all the draw-backs on a paper and handed over to them to avoid further to and fro.

                    I got back to 'rectified !' machine on mid of last week;
                    - with that same mis-matched old lid of wash tub
                    - re-fitted, looking like a second-hand machine
                    - the wash propellar, when rotating clock direction - one very bad
                    sound is being generated.

                    I spoke to Mr Amal Goswami, they logged this a a new complaint (docket ref - KLB9B27016), . I got a call on last saturday (28.11) evening and came to know that my machine will be re-collected soon for workshop.

                    Now I am sick and tired with your product.

                    If your persons are right, then I am wrong. I am wrong in the sense that this time I have not chose a right Brand.

                    But however - one simple question to you, is there any way out?

                    Will you please look into the matter once - so that this shame-full episode get closed forever, so that I may come out
                    from this jigsaw puzzle.

                      i have bought KENSTAR washing machine last year but after some time the machine becomes a headache for my wife because of daily wear tear in that after complaints to the dealer from which the service personnals came and re[pair the same but it is a matter of surprise whenever they people comes they creat a new problem and finally they broke the washing tub from the bottom for that when i complains to the dealer he strictly asks the service centre in the city and they people came again and fits an screw in the bottom of wash tub which nail was came out in the wash tub when my wife washed the clothes in that the screw nail torn the clothes again in anger i complains to the dealer he send the people again send the service persons they cut down the secrew nail from the wash tub but my wife insisted to chenge the tub which they refused then i went to the dealer from which i bought the same in front of me he asks the service centre franchise about the problem they told him that there office have to be shifted in Karnal so the tub can not be replaced soon then he (dealer) look at me i allow them to take a reasonable time in the meanwhile my wife got afraid to the washing machine and did't wasg the clothes in it because last time the machine torn the clothes after near about two months a phone call comes from the number [protected] and ordered me to send the machine to their service centre immediately otherwise they will not replace the tub when i asks him about the address then the person again talked rudely after which i am forced to lodge the complaint.                       videocon washing machine fully automatic — water fault

                      water is not coming from its pipe . it is coming from its bottom like we use a flash.and no body hear my complainfrom dealer.
                      i am having a similar problem of parts not available and machine not being attended
                      My washing machine bought on 12th October 07 model K5800 fully automatic started giving trouble on 13th June 09. water leaking from the bottom of the machine. The technician told us the bowl had cracked and had to be replaced. Till date i.e 19th July 09 the spare part is not available. More over the service centre is not responding to the phone. To make matters worse every time the complaint is made the same is cancelled saying the machine has been attended to. But the fact remains that for the last one and a half month my washing machine is not working causing us great difficulty. The washing machine is still under warranty.

                        I have purchased a Videocon LCD TV - 32 Integra classic model on 14/12/08 at M/SHome solutions retail(India) ltd-Chennai-60. Delivered on 16/12/08. Inv.No :[protected]
                        I had contact the Ezone persons for no picture on television, there is no response. Finally have called videocon customer care and lodge the complaint on31/12/08 (CHC[protected]) . After 3 days, one person from videocon has came and checked the product and said it is related to mother board broblem, will be cleared in an another 3 working days. No response for my daily phone calls for next one week . Again I made the complaint to customer care on 08/01/09 (CHC[protected]).
                        Finally on 20/01/09, the person from videocon has replied my phone call that he will replace the product on 21/01/09. Yesterday again he replied to my phone call that he will deliver the new product tonight 8pm!
                        No response till now.
                        I need my cash back from the poor concern.

                            We have bought a washing machine combi 6800 from Snehanjali Retail Shop at Mumbai, having two years warranty. But the machine starts troubling since one week. I called customer care. My complaint no. is Mum [protected].                             I called up at call center who says that their work is to forward the complaint and they had done it and now there is no role for them.
                            Now the question comes WHY VIDEOCON IS GIVING THE SERVICING FRANCHISE TO IRRESPOSIBLE PERSONS LIKE MR. JAISWAL???
                            or COMPANY WANTS THAT PARTS IN WARRANTY PERIOD SHOULD NOT BE REPLACED???

                            in regard to your complaint, i totally agree because i am facing a similar problem from past 4 months, they have their customer care number which does it part by taking complaints & forwarding the same to the franchises, they are least bothered, the best answer they have is they say now the franchisee is changed because he was not giving a good service, I am put up in bangalore i have a problem with my videocon semi automatic washing machine till date the spin dry knob to the washer which changes has given way 4 times looks like it is made out of a very bad quality material ( sub standard quality).
                            my complaint number is BAN [protected] this is the 8th complaint number i think in 3 months time till date they have not rectified, nor they call & tell you the status if we call them & ask they ask for the complaint number & they say cooly that this complaint does not exist now because it is almost a week or fortnight now since you have lodged, so give another complaint now for further action.
                            See how our celeb's for a certain amount they endorse products & we will have to take pain.
                            if anyone by chance can paste this on Mr so called King Khan blog i will be really happy.

                                  I read an adversiment in paper about free Videocon service & 25% concession on original parts accordingly I hinformed on your phone no [protected] that the heater ( for defrosting) of my Electrolux refrigerator is not working & it chokes after 4to 5 days & works well after one days rest.
                                  A service man came to my house on 5th April and confirmed that the heater was not working and it will have to be taken to workshop.                                   To my surprise The machiene again choked after 5 days again complaint was lodged vide No LUD [protected]. Again Machiene was sent to workshop this time it was returned after 2 days & was assured that it will not give any trouble now, Again, it started choking after 5-6 days. I again lodged a complaint. A machnic came to my house who opened the machiene and informed me that heater is not working and the quality of heater is poor & is not original.
                                  The fridge was again taken to workshop this time for 8 days but third time the problem again surfaced after 5 days.

                                  A complaint was lodged on 29thMay No LUD[protected] and action is awaited.

                                  Meanwhile I have paid Rs 750 as cartage charges for 3 times to & fro cartage.
                                  They also do not have proper arrangements for repair of your branded products. Even the do not have trained manpower. Power cuts are very frequent in Ludhiana, they do not have any alternative arrangement. .

                                  I request you to kindly intervene & ensure that your service centre uses only original parts. One goes to original manufecturers with high confidence.I am sure you will not let your service provider betray this confidence. .

                                    My ac is not working for so many days.we bought it from the dealers nanthilathu g mart karamana .thiruvananthapuram kerala.it has stopped working.we complained about this in the videocon ac service centre .Inspite of my repeated reminders and complaint, the service center in my city[trivandrum, kerala India], is not taking any notice of it. All I am repeatedly told is that my complaint will be served on the same day, but no body ever came. I keep on calling 2-3 times a day, daily but other than assurance, nothing happens.

                                    My ac is just 6 months old and under warranty. I don't what should I do further. i am fed up with this .that is why i am e mailing .please take necessary actions otherwisw we have to complaint in the consumer court and service

                                    This is to bring to your kind notice that I purchased 1.6 ton Videocon A/C split on dt.17/5/07 and it was under 7 years warranty. At the time of purchase I was told that for every 6 months the servicing people will come and attend for the servicing upto the warranty period ends. But unfortunately, after installation only once your people attended for the said servicing and we do not know their contact nos.also for even contacting. When ever I try to contact to the dealer where we purchased, they will never lift their phones. This is the prevailing situation at Vizag for your A/C servicing.                                     I purchase one ton split A.C. serial no.8009715ID from Bansal Sales Corporation, LUDHIANA-8, Dated.[protected]. After three months there is problem of water leakage in indoor unit .I log my complaint to dealer where i purchase my a.c.on[protected] & register my complaint on Videocon customer care centre on[protected], Complaint No. LUD[protected].But till today nobody attend my complaint.                                     These people are not responding properly to any of the consumer compliants.
                                    I bought my AC from Nandilath G Mart Ernakulam 6 months back and now it is not working properly. The complaint No. is COC[protected]. Since last one week i am calling every day 3 to 4 times and the response is that will send their service engineer today. Till date they have not sent any one to clear the problem.

                                    It’s really sad to hear that this dealer gained so many frustrated/cheated customers. May be – “This Dealer” has got some ties with Manufacturers to procure factory damaged items for fewer prices to there showrooms.

                                    So enquire generally before buying a product with other dealers, friends……Also there are many small dealersagencies all over Kerala who can provide better customer /Product service but with out big offerdiscount & show offs.

                                    DONOT GO BEHIND OFFERS / DISCOUNTS ALWAYZ.

                                    Am also having bad experence with videocon A/c i given complients 4/5/2011 service person came and collected Rs350/ and told that another team will come & collect the a/c. Till date no responds from the service center and i called many time. But no responds. I dont know wat to do? A/c buyers please think of service and the go for any a/c. Service is the must.
                                    I have purchased A split A/C of Videocon but gas leakage problem persist from the time of installation. I have register a complaint to customer service but a silly answer given by call centre staffs. Here nobody is taken care of customer grivances/problem.
                                    My complaint no is IND[protected] for dt 22/05/2011 but as on date 25/05/2011 nobody have taken up my complaint.I have so many electrical/Electronics equipment of various company but the videocon company service is extremely poor.In future I never suggest anyone to purchase videocon product.
