Dear vodafone customer care,

My name is Manjeet Singh, I use vodafone prepaid service and my number is ([protected] )which is valid until[protected] .

I am writing this complaint letter to you because I received an unwanted call on [protected] at 6:08 pm from caller tune service and without my concern they deducted 15 Rs. From my phone and later I received a sms from them that my caller tone service has been registered and they asked me to ensure that I have more then 30 rupees in my account so that they can activate the my caller tone .

I have no intentions of activating this kind of any service on my phone and therefore I also called Vodafone customer care service and there also they did not had any solution to this and only thing they suggested was that I recharge my account and let the caller tone service deduct the next 30 Rs, and called them after that, I have to say I am very harassed and discouraged by all this and therefore I want you to take immediate action regarding my problem as soon as possible .

I would like to say that a big company like Vodafone should stop this kind of cheap pick pocket attempts of making money.

I also would like to know how can I keep my number away from all these kind o[censored]nwanted calls and I hope that you take an action as soon as possible and return all the deducted amount back to my phone if not I am willing to take action against this problem on my own by reporting this to TRAI(Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) and also CONSUMER COURT and News Papers if I have to .

      I am Abhishek Singh, using a vodaphone no. [protected].I have taken this no. two months ago at vodaphone store at ansal plaza.On this no i have taken a 888 plan in which they asked me to activate ECS service from my credit card (they told me inorder to take a 888 plan you need to activate the ecs service without this they will not activate this plan ) I activated the ECS service from my Barclays credit card, also given xerox copy of my card.Later I received the bill but as I have activated ECS so I did not make the bill payment . After few days of my due date they barred my outgoing service .I made a call 2 customer care and asked them why they have barred the service. They told me they have not received the ECS details so the amount is not taken out of my credit card .I told them that i have submitted the required document at vodafone store .I also told the name of sales agent who sold me this connection, his name is JAGMOHAN.They said you will have to visit vodafone store again .As vodafone store is faraway from my residence n this is no fault of mine I asked them 2 send someone to my redience, they said for this i need to mark a mail to corporatecare.[protected]@vodafone.com . I did mark a mail to them but did not receive any reply from them .I can say the customer service of vodafone is worse they only know how to take money from customers .After this i received several collection calls from their collection agent, i told the same story to them and asked them to arrange a call back from their senior, did not receive any call from vodafone .I m still receiving calls from them I told them i am not going to pay single penny n even i dont know whether they have taken money from my credit card or not, because i have not received the card statement yet. They told me they have not received any card details from me, I asked how they have given me this 888 plan .As stated above i have subimitted the card details n if they dont have the detailsavailable where the card details gone, that can be missused by someone .But even after telling the whole story to them so many times nothing is done till now. still my outgoing is barred . so plz take necessary action against them so that in future they dont harass their customer like this .

      Vodafone — outgoing bared without informing

      hi this kalpesh karangia from mumbai having number [protected]
      demo card billing i am using this number from 2past 2yrs have paid the bill regualary then to still they disconnceted the line without any prior notice, as i spoke to the toll free numer i was told as i am a demo card number so my outgoing is barred and to contact area account manager, i contacted the area a/c manager [protected]. but he said the mobile number wont start in demo plane as i did not sell the refill and told me that would convert my number in normal billing plan. but still after a week the out going is barred and have not started. when we contact the area manager he tell it will start in one and two days. and toll free number say u contact account manager.
      Please be kind enough to immediately disconnect my vodafone services as I am going abroad for three years. My Vodafone Mobile No. is [protected]

          I bought Hutch about 3 yrs back till it was Hutch I was satisfied with the network and the services. But from the time Vodafone acquired Hutch IT SUCKS.

          When ever I call customer care it takes hours to speak to some one, and when some one picks up the phone they dont give information I am trying to disconnect my number from past 3 months and no body is even doing that. I have to paythe bill.

          HOPELESS USELESS VODAFONE.
          Sir,

            i pranam salunke have taken the postpaid sim of no [protected] two months before nd i have paid all my bill but still my outgoing calls r barrred ... i have paid the bill 10 days before, , , nd i have also given the complaint regarding this to the vodafone stores in belgaum which is near goawas .. nd from last 10 days daily im going to the stores but they r not responding ... so please check it nd release my outgoing call... do it sonn .. u say vr happy to help but im not happy with ur service

            my name amandeep singh have taken the post paid connection [protected] i was changed owner ship of this number they barred my number for 15 days after so many visit at Ludhiana Vodafone store they start my phone services. Now again after one week they barred my services with out any intimation to me and I am facing lots of problem and lost my biz only only Vodafone poor service i lost my biz arrowed 5 lac.

            Vodafone India — outgoing closed after payment of bill

            i am regular customer of vodafone with mobile no [protected] with following address
            jaspal singh plot no 13/11 pawan nagar chownk batala road amritsar punjab

            1 That i have paid my bill on[protected] the bill was payable on[protected] but there was no fine for delayed payment because it was below rs 300/-
            2 That after payment the outgoing was closed but message was recieved that my bill payment has been recieved.
            3 That after my repeated requests they have not informed the reason of closing outgoing
            4 That i have sent them emails but till date i have not recieved their reply
            5 That i have recieved their bill from[protected] to[protected] and company has charged full month rent and i have requested them to charge rent only upto[protected] upto which out going facility was given till date the company has not replied nor they have ammended their bill
            6 That the company is harrassing me by one way or the other

            i therfore request your good self to intervene immidiately and ask the company to activate outgoing and amend the bill accordingly so that i may pay the same

Today i received a message from customer care, "Your document not reached yet to our related section. In that reason my connection has been disconnected. Please note that Attested copy of the passport, together with photograph hand over to the man who deal with me.

            So kindly re connect early as possible. Now i am in Qatar. My phone with my wife. She can't call me or i can't call her.

            I believe that you may enough proof and identification on above subject.Thanking you and best regards.

            My name Ravi Guleria have taken the Pre paid Connection in Himachal Pradesh[protected]. My no. was barred after few days then i had submitted my documents 4to5 times, then my connection started again but after 4 months againg suddenly my connection barred. I dont know what is the procedure of your company to barred numbers, then i call to your customer care executive on dated[protected]. 4-5 times they confirm my verification & suggest me to wait 24hrs to resolve problem. I wait but no solution occur. Then next day i call again your CCE but again they do the same things as before. So I would like to check my number & unbarred it as quickly as possible. I am totally unsatisfied with the services given by your CCE. My number is [protected].

              Hi,

              Vodafone has lauched new ad "Happy 2 Help" Which seems incorrect to me. They are happy to help. They are not bothered about email sent to them.They generally do not reply to emails even after sending reminders.
              I have couple of emails lying in my email sent to vodafone, but no reply from vodafone.

              So next time when you read "Vodafone - Happy to Help", Please read it as
              "Vodafone- Not Happy to Help "

              I have paid the Mobile bill on Saturday on 14th through internet.However still today i got call from Vadofone for payment. What is the issue. Please help.
              Agree... they do not seem to have a system in place ... the dealers do not submit the documents... the call centre gives a different version ... and the vodafone center gives and third different version ... Nothing to be happy about at present ... sorry ... did not want to write this ... but I dont seem to have an option ... they are not happy to help ...

              As per Vodafone office in Hadapsar Pune. The office staff said i will start to use same number in Vodafone network within one week.

              Now card disconnected from airtel service but still Vodafone network is not activated on new sim card which was provided from Vodafone.
              What is the issue. This number is very much useful to me and my business.

                I have taken Vodafone Postpaid connection recently and I feel sorry to say that they are the worst I have ever encountered. I was on roaming, first day it was working. But the second day tried to connect so many times but could not access the network. When I returned back to Delhi, Ithere was network but I could not make outgoing calls. I tried Customer care from 6 pm to 11.0 but could not get connected. finally when I got connected, they said my number showed negetive verification because of which the services were barred and since now they are positive it will get activated in 2 hours. I dont know at 11 O'clock at night how can they make a verification and that too positive. What were they doing for the whole day when they were told to activate the services as soon as possible? They were called so many times at day but there was no result.

                Dear Sir / Madam

                On 8th or 9th July 2009, i took Vodafone post paid connection from Vodafone office, Sector-18, Noida for my son who is studying in class IX in one of the boarding school in Noida. Madam Neha (Vodafone executive) advised us (me and my son) to go for post paid connection and assured Vodafone representative will come to school hostel for collection of payment and also in case of any problem she can be contacted over her mobilie phone which has never been replied. For id proof, my son's copy of passport was given to her and she informed within one week period, verification will be done and this number [protected] will be activated.

                After one week, i received a phone call from Vodafone who said the no. [protected] cannot be activated because my son is only 15 years old and asked to submit any other persons details (with id proof) who is staying in Noida to activate this number.

                I don't understand why this thing was not told at the time of giving post paid connection. I have been transfered from Noida to Orissa that i had told to Vodafone executive and she assured there will be absolutely no problem.

                From this incidence i understand that Vodafone is interested in selling connections and they assume, customer will run what ever way they want to maintain the connection .

                I am working in Indian Oil Corporation Limited, i can communicate to all oil companies through our intranet about this crooked style of selling Vodafone connections. Also if the connection is not activated in 2 days (by 20.07.09) i will put my complaint in consumer cell.

                I hope some one from Vodafone will act on this complaint.

                I have already submitted complaint on non activation of Vodafone no. [protected]. With this kind of experience with Vodafone, i do not want to have Vodafone connection. I can forget my Rs. 500/- paid for Vodafone post paid connection. I have taken another connection and that is working good. Now i do not want Vodafone to activate Vodafone no. [protected].

                Please help me to ensure there is no bill in future against this Vodafone no. [protected].

                While recharging my Mobile Vodafone No [protected] on 01.04.2011 at 11.09 AM, I was told by your voice in mobile that if I recharge for Rs.190, then calls for Rs. 200
                will be given, Immediately Rs. 170.26, and rest within 24 hrs. Today is 04.04.2011, but the additional calls have not been given. It is only Rs.170.26 and not Rs. 200/-. It shows that Vodafone is cheating the customers. Once before also, it happened with me but then I did not care to notice, but this time I have clearly noticed it. I would wait phone-cal from Vodafone why it is being happened, and charge it with rest amount.

                  People in india should know how this vodafone communication is going on in the commpetetive market.As i was using my prepaid card of hutch converted to vodafone sim they deducted the money for which i have not set a caller tune but still they activated the tune and immediately my balance of 42Rs/- was deducted as i had recharged for my important to some other person i have received a message from 56789 that your caller tune was set and monthy rental would be of 30/-.Suddenly when i have checked my balance it was 12/- left so these vodafone people are simply taking money from the pockets of the people.These type of fradulent activities should be taken care well before you choose a communication provider.

                  After sometime of deducting the call charges for the caller tune i called 111 to check why my balance was deducted?but still it says some options and i was unable to find the customer service option and hence i cut back the call after that i have checked my balance wich is supposed to be 12/- but it shows that a balance of - 3 /- is shown.I was shocked to see this as expecting free for the customer service still these people are deducting for the customer care centre which is absolutely a free call for the customer who is using this service.

                  I want to know how come these situations happen without the intimation of the customer.Each and every citizen of india please be careful while choosing this blady vodafone service particularly and when u use a postpaid service particularly because we will be selecting one tariff and put extra costs and increase our bill by saying simple reasons.

                  Please be aware of these situations and act accordingly and this is is the company which does not provide any king of quality service but these people will call when we do not pay the postpaid bills.

                  And henceforth please i hope that i will get a positive reply from any one if you people strongly react according to the situations and terms particularly before taking a vodafone prepaid/postpaid connection.

                  At last i want a best suitable or positive reply so that these people i.e vodafone should be sued and hence be taken care to not only provide the quality of service but to take of this situations which should not happen any more.

                    Dear VODAFONE's Sirs/Madams,

                    Today(15/07/2008) UNFORTUNATELY I have taken for the first time VODAFONE prepaid connection for my spouse and fortunately AIRTEL connection for myself.

                    AIRTEL was activated in 10 minutes of time .

                    But the great VODAFONE !!! I Am still waiting since 1 O'clock to get activated.

                    When enquired with the concerned authorised shop person he assured the activation in 10 mins. for eye wash sake I suppose.

                    You please be open regading your services and train the authorised agent with realistic times for activation.

                    And ringing to customer care ...!!! NO reply for the past 5 hours...

                    I had taken a vodafone sim from (nearI MT college) dorli, nagpur almost 15 days back. But surprisengly it can not be activated yet. My Sim vendor is asying he has send all d doc to vodaphone office but there working people r changing.. and no one responses. So plz if any thing can be done plz do that for activating my no.

                    Vodafone is truly mismanaged.

                    1. 24 hour stores are closed for most of time
                    2. Their executive calls for your personal landline no, so that you're eligible for a prepaid sim
                    3. Retailers are unaware of the process to activcate the sim

                    In summary, Vodafone s**ks especially in Kolkata!!
                    More than one year after the above comment its still the same case. I took a vodafone prepaid to be able to use Citi Tap and Pay service launched in Bangalore. The Vodafone store executive promised activation within 10 mins. its been more than 24 hours and still no activation.

                    I am currntly Airtel Postpaid/Broadband customer and used to their customer care, so when I called Vodafone I was in for a rude shock, they made me wish to forget about the Tap n pay service i wanted to try. God horrible, they reminded me of the talking parrots, repeating the same thing again and again.

                    When they put me on hold I even started hating the adv song, which I loved so much watching on TV.

                    Here's my Point: Don't make promises that u can't keep.

                      I have a vodafone pre paid connection [protected]. Vodafone advertises in its website for Lifelong special offer 195 plan. I got this recharged thru my citibank online account and I got 10 rupees talk time only. I called up customer care and spoke with a gentleman named Shiva. He does not have the flair to speak with a customer, he was rude and unwilling to listen. trying to diverse the topic. He says that amount of recharge is only applicable for new customers only and I have made a mistake and have to live with it.

                      In the above link it is no where mentioned that this is for new customers only. The website is misleading customers and fleecing their hard earned money.

                        Vodafone — want deactivation of lost sim

                        I had lost my mobile phone with sim No. [protected]. Now, i want to deactivate this number. so that nobody cannot misuse that number.

                        But customer care says that they cannot deactivate prepaid numbers. WHy not?

                        Then, how can they deactivate my latest phone number for just not brought forward my documents due to dealer's mistake and harassing me for 1 week.

                          I m using Vodafone number for last 4 years ([protected]), i was happy with their services, hence i have applied for a new connection, I have contacted my nearest Vodafone store some Tripti Naidu named girl who is Senior Executive - stores visited my office, taken signature on a New Number Application Form, Collected my Docs, collected One Cheaque of Rs 500/- (HDFC Bank Cheaque), blocked a number of my choice on same day i.e 4th July 2008, since than she is missing, while contacting her on her number she never picks her cell phone ([protected]) & no body replies on office number[protected], in her absence i have discussed this problem with Mr Saiket relationship Manager Vodafone, nagpur ([protected]), Saiket is giving his commitment for last 7 days that I will get my Cheaque & Docs refunded, Nobody is helping me, this is a real poor service from the company officers. Now I also wanna close my previous Vodafone number ie [protected], i have shifted my number to IDEA, which i feel is better in service.

                          I have paid the my April-11 Vodafone bill thru credit card on 11th April 11, however I cud not get confirmation from Vodafone
                          I have inquired with credit card bank, they informed me that they have process the payment & merchant ( Vodafone ) has to accept the request.
                          After that I have contacted Vodafone care they told me they didn’t get any request & asked me to wait for 24 hrs & make the payment again if request is not accepted by Vodafone ….
                          I have waited 48 hrs instead of 24 hrs but Vodafone didn’t accepted the payment & hence I have made the payment 2nd time on 13th April.

                          After that when I have checked my credit card statement online on I was debited twice … so again I made a call to Vodafone care for reversal of payment & was promised that same will be done & reflected in my account in 3~4 days time … however when I received my credit card statement on 26th April I came to know that Vodafone has not credited excess payment ….

                          This is literally harassment from Vodafone …. Fist off all Y vodafone has accepted the 2nd payment request from bank, same cud be rejected at fist instance as payment was already done.
                          2nd ly even after talking to Vodafone care payment was not credited back …

                          Now unnecessary I have to make the payment to bank …. This not the first event Vodafone pathetic service in past also same things has happened

                          But Vodafone didn’t care for their loyal customer & always feel HAPPY TO TROUBLE loyal customer.

                              I had taken 3 new connections from vodafone 2 on billing and 1 on pre pay however its been 4 days and non of them have been activated I called up the customer services they said that they cannot do anything in addition to that the advisor was so unhelpful and bluntly stated that its not a vodafone error its the Gallery error as if the gallery and the customer service were a part of the different organization; when asked for a manager the advisor stated that he cannot escalate the called, when I told him that as a consumer I have the right of escalation he put me on hold for 18 mins and disconnected the line. My Vodafone #[protected]/29 and [protected] have not been activated. In fully frustrated mood I went to the gallery and the advisor informed me that as there was no logo of my company on the identity card they need my sal slip I told him that the ID has an electronic identification number he stated that they don't recognize but the store manager said that the advisor was not aware and stated that he will log in my request ASAP and the line would be activated in 12 hrs its been 24 hrs and still no respite. I called up the Customer service again the same gyan no manager and please goto the gallery it has been a frustration start the only reason I have taken this connection is because of the group talk be its heght of inefficiency., their advisors are not bothered even to listen as soon as you say something they first reply that you get is its not our problem goto the gallery Hutch was anytime better..Can anyone help

                                    I am shocked and deeply disappointed by the policy of Vodafone and its dealers/subsidiaries. I am new to Bangalore and have recently taken a Vodafone prepaid connection for 333 scheme from "The Mobile Store" in Bannerghata road, opp Mantri Elite building, Bangalore 76.

                                    I went there yesterday and asked for Rs. 200/- talktime. Then I got SMS saying that "Processing request for a refill of INR 200.0 Transaction ID KK089/208689. Please pay to retailer". Then I got SMS saying that my account has been refilled successfully by INR 47.89. The shopekeeper was also confused or maybe was acting with malafide intentions. He is selling Vodafone connections and is in dark about your policies or has intentionally mislead me.

                                    I called Vodafone care and the customer care associate (Shweta Deshpande) first said that it will come after 24hrs and then later said that the remaining money has been taken as service and processing fees. I called up three times in the customer care number and got different reasons. When I requested to talk to the manager in charge they kept me on hold for half an hour. All were ignorant of the fact why I got Rs. 47.89 when I paid Rs.200/-.

                                    Later I came to know that if we recharge with Rs.150/- we get full talktime. Going by that logic we should at least get Rs.150/- if we recharge with any amount greater than that.
                                    You have not educated your dealers/subsidaries selling your products and have neither educated your customers. There was no pamphlet or any other tariff plan given to me when I took the connection.

                                    I wish to register my complaint with the strongest possible way. This practise of your company is highly illegal and unethical. If Rs. 200/- is not a valid amount then why do you allow your system to accept it. I request you to return my money or full recharge amount. I have never expected such "service" from an international company. If not then I wish to complaint against Vodafone to TRAI.

                                    Every month i use to go for a recharge voucher worth Rs.45 for which local sms are charged 10 paise for a month.On May the 13 the validity of the voucher expired & without informing me they automatically activited a service for which 2 Rs daily are deducted from my account.On May the 19 i called the customer care centre the 1 CCE put me on a long hold for which i have to call again the 2 CCE could not give a valid reason for the activition of the service.i requested her to give me the procedure for the deactivition of the service.She told me to send a sms sms no to 111 again i asked for the complain no for which she replied the no will come automatically via a sms i thanked her & disconnected.When i sms to my surprise i got the replied as wrong keyword.Again for the 3 time when i tried to call my no is blocked.So i am thinking to file a case in the consumer court.

                                    Vodafone — no amount credited on pre-paid account recharge worth 150 rupees

                                    i recharged my vodaphone pre paid account yesterday for 150 rupees.then I got the message instructiing to pay to the retailer with the transaction id as kk[protected].
                                    But I didnt get my account any amount credited to my account.
                                    When i called the customer care to 111 the representative Ms.Priya told that i need to physically go to their store at Koramangala and show the message instructing to pay to the retailer to them as in their database i haventbn done any recharge.
                                    I cannot do that as i am working .
                                    I asked her to give the transaction id of the recharge i did .But she told it is of of no use.
                                    Then i even suggested to forward the message to any of the number they suggest as the proof, but she refused to entertain that.
                                    She seemed to be helpless.
                                    The customer care department of vodafone seems to be there to tell the addredd of their stores for the customers to search and find and somehow physically go there to addredd the issue.
                                    It seems that i live in the old primitive world.
                                    We know about registering, processing and resolving it by contacting the customer care.
                                    they offer to do that but pretends to be ignorant of such options.
                                    I felt humiliated, dissappointed of loosing 150 rupees as it seems and unnecessary strss and strain associated with.

                                    If any responsible person from vodafone see this, pls do help to retail the prestige and credibility of your organization.

                                    they informed me of some other plan and are charging me for some other plan. they are not ready to refund my money or compensate my bill. i have tried their customer care executives but they dont respond properly neither does the store

                                    Then on contacting the dealer he told me dat a scheem of 1Rs to all STD calls is already given free for a month and dats why the new local 50paisa (75Rs)voutcher s not working.
                                    Solution -- he has put a new voutcher of 50Rs and refunded the balance now I HOPE DAT THE SCHEEME ON ALL LOCAL CALLS 50PAISA WL B ACTIVATED IN 4 HOURS CARD NO.[protected] WHICH HAS BEEN RECHARGED ON 18/11/08 TIME 5.00PM

                                      I am Sujit Kumar using the Vodafone no [protected] on 23 Dec 2008, I have got first bill on the right address that i had given after that i did't get any bills. when i contact on 111 He/She told me that the address is C-33 Radhey Puri Greater Noida. I am very much afraid with this so i requist you to please block the sim card till date

                                        wel...when i gave a request to convert my prepaid connection into post paid, the vodafone executive told me the 499 plans as
                                        rent - rs 499
                                        free mins to local and std mobiles - 664
                                        sms - 499 local
                                        but after the plan got activated on my no...an executive who visited my house told me that there is no such plan...and i would get only 499 mins free on local and std mobiles in place of 664 mins...
                                        i am very much agitated with the false comitment the vodafone employees make just to sell their connections...i have called customer care many times but they have no resolution and they dont bother at all after selling their connection...at last the customer has to suffer...

                                        Vodafone — Fake POstpaid Plan

                                        I have migrated from Prepaid to Postpaid plan on the plan conveyed to me by a vodafone customer care executive. The plan which they conveyed to me was:
                                        Monthly Rental: 125 Rs
                                        Local call: Vod to Vod -> 10paise
                                        Vod to others: 99paise
                                        Std: 2.40Rs
                                        SMS: Local 1Rs, STD 2Rs, International 5Rs
                                        Talktime: 100Rs every month

                                        i had took two connections for this plan. But when the number was activated they conveyed to me a totally different plan and said that there might be some misunderstanding and there is no such plan which was conveyed to me in the beginning. Till date they have not provided me any resolution for the same. and now they are forcing me to pay the bill amount however till now they have not confirmed me regarding my Bill Payment Plan. All the time i call the customer care they give me a complaint number and dont provide me any resolution. i have called the customer care 4 to 5 times. My recent complaint number is:[protected]

                                        Gaurav, actually, the executive who visited your place may not be properly informed about the tariff plan. It is a fact that the tariff of Rs. 499 plan and 664 free mins is applicable for local as well as STD. But there is a rider, the said plan can only be availed for new connection.

                                        This is the regulaf habit of the Vodafone. At the time of selling they will say something else but while using u will get something different.
