I have traveled to uae on international roaming pack of rs 149.in the 10 days since my arrival, i have received exactly one call. However, my vodafone bill has reached an alarming 9226 rs! The reason cited is data usage.
First, absolutely no internet has been used on the phone.
Second, we got an sms from vodafone care on the date of travel saying that mobile data services on this number have been kept off. Further, it said that if i wish to activate the data services while on international roaming, i have to send an sms to a given number with a given code. I did not send any such message. So, even though my data services were off, vodafone has applied a gigantic sum on this number.
Third, for the last 3 days, we have been calling/ emailing vodafone customer service to get this issue resolved. However, no responses have been made other than asking us for screenshots of this message. We sent the screenshots, but they have made no action not it.
Fourth, the outstanding amount has been rising even though the phone is switched off, and services suspended (Number blocked).
We would like the bill to be revised as soon as possible to remove the fraudulent charges and reflect the real usage.
The user of this number is a senior citizen, and is very stressed due to this issue and the subsequent lethargic behavior of vodafone's customer service employees. Our entire family has been vodafone users for more than 10 years. This is how loyal consumers are rewarded by vodafone!
Vodafone India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
