I am trying to port my mobile number from vodafone(Vi) to BSNL. But, Vi is not allowing to send porting SMS. How to get the UPC for my number ?

Jio vs Vi. -- Jio is for economically wealther peoples as it provides only 4G services but other networks are providing 2G/3G/4G services so poor people chooses other networks as recharge plans is cheaper for 2G/3G. If they block SMS services then for people can never port their number because porting costs will be around 130/- but as per telecom rules porting is free of cost.

How porting costs 130/- ?
Providers block SMS services if customer recharges below 129/- so customers cannot port their number. i.e, if a customer who recharges below 129/- they have to recharge high price plans if they want to port..

Please Solve this issue for poor or middle class customers.

    I'm from Ahmedabad and I've 4 postpaid lines. On 28th August 2021 @10.00am I approached Vi store Grand Monarch, G-1, 100 Feet Anand Nagar Rd, Besides Seema Hall, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380007. I informed the need to migrate all my lines from Postpaid to Prepaid. Firstly, I paid unbilled amount for the month of August. Total for all the lines was INR805.00. After receiving credit notification the Vi supervisor started the process of conversion. I gave him my id proof and paid additional INR400.00 for 4 new sim and advance prepaid recharge amount total paid INR3550.00 All my transaction was done thru UPI payment so I have proof of payment to Vodafone India. I was informed that retention will call you to maintain the postpaid, I just have to refuse and within 24hrs my line will be converted. I received numerous calls from retention team and in all I refused to stay with Postpaid line. At 06.00pm I received SMS in all my lines that postpaid has been retained. At 06.30pm i approached the store and they checked in the system that my postpaid to prepaid has been rejected. Now i need to redo the entire process again on Monday the 30th of August. Meanwhile on 29th August i lodge a complain by sending an email on Vi customer care and to the appellate officer. On 30th August i was informed by the store that due to some technical issue i now need to approach on 1st of September to redo the entire process. I approached the store as mentioned above on 1st of September 2021 @10.00am and I met with store supervisor. At first he told me pay 1 day unbilled amount. I objected to it and made a call to the appellate office as my complaint was already registered. I spoke to the office and he then made a call to the store and spoke to the store supervisor. The process of conversion again begin after completion I was handed 4 new sim again and was told that will attach my complain email and send to backend team to approve my conversion. Later in the day I received calls for retention and I refused in all. In the evening I received SMS that my postpaid has been retained.
    This is outright harassment.

      I don't want to start the conversation politely for your service. This is worlds worst service I'hv seen. Have been raising multiple concerns on data network issue, now there is a new problem where for every 10 minutes 4g data gets down to 2g and then goes down to zero.
      Give me one reason why I should use your network. After I raised complaint few executives are calling saying" please send your location we will come to you and address the concern". I have been sharing my locations to multiple but non came. This is how your sight executives are working. Better close vodafone service in India. Whole my family facing the same issue.

      The second concern is when ever there is a power cut, network totally goest to zero. You guys cannot afford a genrator for the Tower. ### with you service.

      I will see for next 24 hours, then after will raise a port request. Done with this service ### .

      Get the ### out of the Country.

        Hello,
        I have a Vodafone prepaid number, and due to constant call drops, inefficient customer support and poor data network, i had decided to port out.
        The problem begins here, since the UPC has been generated, i am getting calls in almost every 10 minutes to explain the reason why i have decided to port out.
        I tried explaining on a few calls, but the calls got auto disconnected after 5-7 minutes, and then i receive a call again to explain from a different executive. Worse is, when i explain a problem, they cross question details like the complaint number, when did you face the problem, whom did you talk to, was it resolved and eventually they try to put the blame on for not following up or raising a complaint.
        Since morning i have received almost 15 calls from Vodafone, and i am already tired of disconnecting them.
        This is very frustrating, and distracting and hampering my work. I cannot be constantly looking at my phone, especially knowing someone is going to call and trouble me for the same thing over and over.
        I dont know what strategy is, if this is the way the customers are being attempted to be retained, then i am sorry i am never coming back to Vodafone.

              I am living in Jodhpur City which is highly developed. Regardless other network for Vi i faces the network issue many times. Forget about 4G they just transfer me to lower than 2G. If they can't even gurantee a good network than stop making consumer fool.
              I want my issue to be solved ASAP

                Hello team,

                I am Rashil Pradeep Shah, I have been a Vodafone user for a long time. I recently ported to a postpaid 699 unlimited plan.

                After that I got a call from a VI postpaid department from number: +[protected] and from [protected] (Same person).

                A female representative was talking on call, I cannot recall her name. It was Soni or Shilpi.

                She told me that VI is offering a free ad-on number on my 699 billing plan. On that, the primary number will get unlimited data and the secondary number will get 40GB of Data. I agreed to it as I found the plan to be useful for me and gave her permission to go ahead with the process. I shared the secondary number with her.

                After all the process of porting was done, I checked my VI app and found out that I was scammed by the representative by her false claim. I was given 40Gb in my primary number instead o[censored]nlimited data(which is my requirement).

                I have been an admirer of the company's 699 plan and I was looking forward to continuing for a long time as my average monthly usage was around 300GB approximately. But, after this incident, I have had doubts over my continuing with the company.

                I wish to revert to my original plan and switch back to prepaid for my secondary number if you can't offer unlimited data.

                I have proof of Whatsapp chat with the female representative and call recording. I will share them with you guys if it's required.

                  I am Madhukar Kale. My vi number is [protected]. I'm having trouble making outgoing calls I have trouble making outgoing calls to 10 to 15 people. Call after disconnect. This is bothering me a lot. Please fix this problem for me soon. Otherwise I will go porting to another company...

                  Asking me to make bill payment without bill

                  I ported from vodafone to Jio as their network services were very bad. After porting to Jio they started calling me and started sending emails saying I have to pay 734.87 rupees. When asked for the detailed bill they say they have already sent, I have not received any bill crom them. When asked to send the duplicate bill they say they cannot send, not sure what is the reason. Just for using 3 to 4 days after the port request will anyone charge...

                  I m trying to send sms to 1900 to port my number. But I m facing the same issue from last month. Sms can't be send to 1900 rest sms facility is working. I have recharged my number with all kind of recharge plan Vodafone have just to send one sms.

                      VI 59059 not working for activating sim

                      I've ported my contact no. from Airtel to Vodafone and I've also inserted new sim but the verification call to 59059 is not connecting. every time I try to call at 59059 it automatically disconnects....

                        I recharged ₹ 79 to keep the SIM running as usual. I did not send sms to try again and again. Then comes the msg from vodafone. Recharge Vodafone for s 219 or ₹ 299 for sms service. So give me back the recharge so I can do a bigger rechagre. Calls to vodafone center they not answer my call.

                          Again I Received this Message At 2:49PM

                          ( Hi! Your Vi SIM-related request is registered with reference number RTN-V[protected]. Your request will be processed within 2 hours. Please note, once your SIM is changed your incoming and outgoing SMS will be barred for 24 hours as per Govt. regulations.)

                          Now It's (10:00PM )

                          It's more Than 7 hours passed SIM Card haven't Processed, Restarted My Device Several Times.

                          This Is My primary contact number & How do i communicate.

                          Store Address: We're I bought the SIM Card.

                          1046, Avinashi Rd, Anna Silai, ATT Colony, Gopalapuram, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu 641018.

                          Second time I'm having the same problem with VI,

                            Hi team,

                            I am trying to connect customer care number of vodafone but everyone only listening the issue and not resolving.

                            The text message is not going to anyone from my number and I m complaining this from 3 days but still the issue is not resolved.

                            I have to do some important text messages but I am unable to sent it. There is outgoing call, incoming call and also incoming messages but outgoing messages is not going. Due to this i may be in danger because the messages i want to sent is very urgent for me.

                              I have tried to send SMS to 1900 to port my number to a different provider. But looks like vodafone has blocked any outgoing messages to this number to avoid customers moving out. This is just a bad practice from Vodafone. I need this resolved ASAP

                                I got a new Vi sim card. I was told that the sim will be activated within 2 hours and then I have to dial 59050 for tele verification. I have tried so many times but after selecting the language it quote that "this is only for tele verification call 199 for more details" and then the call getting ended every time. The network bar is full. I tried calling so many times but it happened every time. Then I called 199 but it said that i have to do tele verification through 59059 first.
                                I don't know what to do anymore. Hope I'll get some resolvement through here.
