After repeated calls and visits, I couldn't succeed. But after posting complaint here at www.consumercomplaints.in, I really got the result within 2 days.
The communication was forwarded by this forum to the VODAFONE, of which I got the intimation also.
And within 2 days, my plan was changed back to the previous one.
Though the charges for the period of changed plan were charged to me and the bill was sent accordingly, at least for future period I got my previous plan restored.
