[Resolved] Vodafone India — International Roaming Did Not Work | |||||
I was travelling to China from the 17th to the 22nd of June 2017. Prior to departing for the trip, I had activated iRoamfree 2500 as a 5-7 day package through the My Vodafone app. This has been verified by your Vodafone Customer Care executives. From the time I landed in China to the time I returned, I was unable to latch onto any network. There are 3 networks in China that possibly I should have been able to connect to - China Unicom, China Mobile, and China Telecom. While scanning for the networks, these 3 networks showed up in the list, but on trying to manually select any of the networks, (or while trying to auto-select), I never received service, and my phone constantly showed 'No Service'. I managed to use an associate's phone (who was on Airtel thankfully), and asked my wife to register a complaint as well, which was duly done twice. As I am a tech entrepreneur, I was aware that I need to remove my SIM, restart my phone, manually select the network etc, and inspite of trying all the troubleshooting methods, I was unable to get access to any network. This can also be verified due to the lack of incoming and outgoing calls from the 17th to the 22nd. Immediately on my arrival in India, I lodged a complaint with Vodafone, on the 23rd of June 2017. Despite this, I was billed INR 2500 + taxes for the iRoamfree package. So, to cut a long story short, expecting me to pay for services not rendered, is a bit ridiculous. As a matter of principle, I refuse to pay for the poor network, tech, as well as support received from Vodafone. Was this information helpful? | |||||

Disconnect my Vodafone postpaid number [protected] and all its services. Vodafone is a greedy company. I am being billed despite not using the service.
