Hi,

I am having vw polo car no. Mh12 lv 8857. I have purchased the car in may 2015. I have also availed extended warranty for additional 2 years.

Everything was fine till last month when i started having problem in starting the car. I had gone to vidyut motor pune to get it checked. They had asked me to visit after 2 days.in the same visit i had asked service advisor to check my car key because i felt it might have damaged due to issue in starting the car. Service advisor told me it is fine.

The very next day it got broke while starting the car and stuck inside. Somehow i managed to take it out and started using the replacement key.

Next day i went to vidyut motor as per appointment. I met my service advisor and told him about car key. He said, he will get it done. Since my key got tempered due to starting issue and it is not my fault.

Next day car was delivered to me at my office but i was surprised to find that my car key was not repaired. After checking with service advisor, he said it cannot be done. I told him that it got damaged due to issue in car manufacturing and it is not my fault. He said he will check and later on told me it can’t be done. If i want i can get it change by paying 12k.
I had provided the same feedback in call and mail also but till date i have not got any revert.

It is very disheartening to see the response from customer service side. Why would i pay 12k if something got damaged due to vw manufacturing defects. Similar issue happened with my friend who is having hyundai car and they got it change for free. Vw parts cost highest in the similar category and you expect customer to pay for it without giving any service.

I have even raised complants to customer care. I got 2 calls from them. Later on i got mail from service center but they refused to honour my complaint and did nothing.

It is very frustrating experience from such a global brand. I am surprised the way my query was handled by customer care.

    I had given my polo reg numbered ka03mq 1419 to singasandra service centre, bangalore on[protected] coordinating with mr. Naveen. I had opted for pickup and drop facility. After the service, when the car has come for delivery on[protected], i found the front number plate was broken and exactly behind the number plate there was a damage (Hole) on bumper. Immediately, i took the pictures and video of it, sent to naveen and the vendor and i denied the delivery of the car and returned. On 5th, naveen called me and said, shall i mold the bumper and replace the new number plate and give you. I disagreed and asked him to replace the bumper as the damage was quite big

    Again, today i got a call from service centre and the response from them was sick. Instead of replacing the bumper, they are trying to manipulate the things and saying that the damaged on bumper is a old one and it’s not their fault!!. They are not ready to give explanation on how number plate broke!! This is so annoying and didn’t expect this kind of service from your company.

    I need a clarification on how the number plate broken and damage happened on the bumper and it should be replaced immediately without any delay.

    Find the attached mails before and after service sent from your service centre.

    I would demand immediate response and delivery of my car asap. It is already crossed 48 hours in service center after the damage.

    I am interested in buying vento. But many suggestion coming out is that maintenance cost is high at Volkswagen. Please do something so that you can get more customer. I am not asking to reduse huge amount but asking to put minimum maintenance.

      1.March 13th: Car was dropped by me for a service at rear right door
      2.March 27th: delivery of car after First Service. At a glance, it looked okay.
      3.March 28th: Reported issue at right rear side window. Reply was prompt
      and technician visited car at my office address.
      4.March 31st: Second Pickup, from my Home.
      5.April 2nd: Asked by service center to receive my car. The issue was
      reproduced and left my car there.
      6.April 3rd: Second (3rd attempt of) delivery, As per the service center the
      issue is resolved. I disagree. Wrote unsatisfied in the feedback form and
      took the delivery. Asked by service center to use the car for ten days and
      they will get back to me after 10 days whether the issue was resolved.
      7.April 20th: Service center mailed me for pickup of vehicle on 21st.
      8.April 21st: Nobody showed up.
      9.April 23nd: Mail(knock knock) from me to service center. Replied by asking
      for another convenient date.
      10. April 23rd: Escalated to customer.[protected]@volkswagen.co.in
      11. 05/04/2018 was the next date
      12. 06th May: Issue wasn't solved.
      12. 06th May: Called VW customer care, came to know that there was no
      communications between VW india and Kolkata service station(under
      OSL Exclusive)
      13. 7th May: Spoke with Williams(customer care executive manager who is supposed to have control over customer.[protected]@volkswagen.co.in).
      14. 7th May: Again called VW customer care at 15:30 for help. No communication back. Hope this complain doesn't fall in William's(or whatever his name is) hand.

        Went to vidyut motors, shivaji nagar, pune for a suspension problem. They replaced the suspension boot and front wheel bearing and told me the problem is solved. Infact there was no change in the problem during the test drive. The problem remained as it is. They told me they will fix the problem during next visit. Very unprofessional service attendants and they told me two days delivery and after 5 days of frequent calling they gave me the car, that too without solving the issue. Volkswagen is a good car but the service centers are the worst. Please look into the issue asap because the service centers are ruining the reputation of vw. Please keep trained mechanics and service center executives to save vw reputation. No value for time. Please deliver the car in promised date and time.

          Sorry to inform that i have called 4 times to the customer care but no actions has been taken yet... my complain id is CCR117239.. i have been promised that my complained will b escalated to the seniors and vl b resolved asap bt sorry to inform that nothing has been done yet... this is the last msg from my side now... very politely i waited for my problem to get resolved but no actions has been taken from your end...plz look after the matter or else i hav to go to the consumer forum about the cheating from your end.

            I hv 2012 polo diesel. Til now 3rd tym thr my car egr creating problem, giving black smoke, and consume all coolent from radiator.
            Car is run only 27000. Km.
            I much care my car in every manner.
            But totally dissatisfied ur poor product. Why u r launching this wrost product in india?
            First egr problem i faced when car was run 6000km only.
            It is not possible for me, to change this part of cost ₹ 50000 again n again.
            I never seen this type of problem in another company product.
            Thinking to register complaine in consumer court now.

              delay in the service said time

              I am an owner of an vw jetta. I had a problem with my gear shifting. So i have given the car to evm kochi on monday morning 10:00 hrs. No doubt they have entertained me without an appointment as this is a breakdown case.
              Around 15:00 hrs the service representative gave me call and conveyed the problem which i agreed to them. So as per there instructions the part was to be ordered and will be replaced within 3 working days. Since 1st...

              I chandan pednekar, owner of car mh 05 ch 4782 vw polo gt tsi had given my car for body work and painting at nerul work shop and you will b surprised to see the work carried out at your station.

              So far i had impressions about you for precision jobs.

              Weeks before i had given my car to nerul work shop for forward bulkhead and grill work also on aft bumper repair. I have attached some of the pictures of your job carried out on my car, which are self explanatory about standard you are maintaining.

              Your service manger called me on 30th april and inform the work has been completed including car wash and polishing of car.
              Since i was out of station and 1 st may was holiday, i reached on 2nd may to work shop and found out that aft bumper work was not done and car was not even washed forget about polishing.

              Your service manager apologies for the incident and confirmed that car will be delivered on 3rd mrng.

              Car was delivered on 3rd 1800 hrs with such pathetic work standard.

                We are using 2013-november model volkswagen vento highline (Kl 02aq 9594). Last 4 years, we don't have any compliant. But before 6 months, they have called us for a pollution problem. After this, in one month (1st week of april) the coil warning light started to indicate due to some engine malfunctioning. Only 30000km is covered by the car and was in good condition before this pollution test. Thus we contacted the kollam service center and they told to replace one engine cylinder out of the four. It cost ₹23000. Also two abs were changed, which cost a total of ₹33000.
                But after two weeks, again the same defect occurred and now they are telling to replace the 2nd cylinder.
                As this complaints are due to your own manufacturing defects. I am not responsible for this. So i am not going to pay for it, as i cannot afford it. So you must repair it, as it's your responsibility. Maybe the remaining two cylinders may also show the same defects soon. This may leads to a more financial crisis for selecting your brand, i can't afford it.
                You must return the vehicle in the good condition, as the problem occurred due to your own manufacturing defects.

                  I bought a new car (Polo petrol, high line) last december. They called me for general check up 22nd april and i left the car in morning and they returned me by evening 5 pm. The next day my car key was not working, i was able to open the door only through keys and as soon as i insert the key car doesn't start. Then i opened the bonnet and closed it with a force the key started working. This happen in front my house. Then yesterday i took the car for a trip and when i turned off i cant able to close the doors with remote then again opened the bonnet and shut then the key worked. The lights are flickering when the car is idle if i give accelerator they are normal and time gets changed when the key doesn't work. Infotainment gets stuck. The next biggest problem was one of the nut was missing from the wire connecting the battery.

                    I have purchased my polo 1.5 tdi in april 2015 and have enjoyed the experience with the car so far. I appreciate vw for making such a superb product.

                    However, i have a complaint that no body at vw service center are able to rectify. My front left door keeps ebbing out of the car and looks like i haven't locked the door at all. I told this at vw coimbatore and they said that the car got hit somewhere. I knew for sure that it was not the case since my car does not even have a single dent. After that a painter at vw coimbatore simply hit the door hinge with a hammer and then the door locked properly. But only for a few months and then the door started ebbing out again. I insist vw to look into the matter immediately and give me a solution. I consider driving this way a big hazard to me as well as others on the road.

                      Since last half hour I’m sitting in their workshop to keep mine car in service but till yet no one had attend me cause . Their is no employee in the service station . Though the service timings are from 9:30 am but till yet no one had come. And even though I way on highway and I had called the company person for help but they didn’t respond anything. They just give a mouth of word they won’t get up to their mark and the worst service provide by them still now by any of the company . We have Toyota company car they treat their customers as their family members but in Volkswagen for every service we need to fight with them and they just delay their works the worst customer feedback

                        Hello i am vijay vijay from visakhapatnam. I have vw vento tsi 2014 model and i have facing a problem of jerk in gearshift and engine rough noise. Due to lack of knowledgeable and efficient people in vw workshop in visakhapatnam my vehicle is still in workshop for 12 days. This is not the first time earlier also my vehicle in workshop for 50 days. The dealership and the company create lot of problems for their customer. Their customer service is very poor and they don’t maintain spare parts, toolkits, infrastructure in vw workshop, vw workshop in visakhapatnam is filled with most useless, irresponsible people. Due this vw customers facing lot problems in repairing of their vehicles

                          Dear concerned,

                          With very disappointment i am dropping this complaint.

                          From 2012 onwards i am giving my vento car for periodic service in mannuthy showroom, thrissur dist, kerala.

                          One time i met with an accident and car rear side was damaged. Vw assisted for claiming insurance and i got the claim amount. But, when i taken the car from service center the front bumper was not mine and it was replaced (I. E. Front bumper in my car is some one else and not my old one, moreover there was no damaged happened to the front portion).

                          I complained in the showroom and they replaced me with a new bumper.

                          Now, last time i given my car for service in the same mannuthy vw service station and they replaced my headlights without my knowledge and fixed a duplicate one.

                          Now only it was noticed that water molecules & vapors are inside the headlights. I complained several times and no action.

                          I need vw india to take action against this and replace my car with 2 new headlights. Treat this as top urgent.

                            I have already logged many compalints..
                            I had purchased a ventro diesel highlineplus16’ on 13 march.. I have purchased my car from capital delhi sarita vihar.. But when i got delivery of my car i didnt find it the same as i have already a vento diesel from 5 years.. And the showroom also gave me the testdrive of automatic car.. And the executive there mr. Prince told me while taking the testdrive that there is no difference between manual and automatic as compare to thier smoothness engine noise and other factors as they said only gear system is different.. But i found a lot of difference.. And now they are saying yes there is lot of difference..
                            So i dont want this car as the sales executive uses diff statement to sale and i never wanted this car.. This car has a lot of engine voice no pickup and power..
                            Now they are demanding a amount of 5.80lacs to replace the car..
                            So

                              My vento is in the service station for the past 40 days. The service personnel says they are unable to track the root cause.
                              Details of my complaint sent to customer care on 5th April is copied below.

                              My Volkswagen Vento KL57 G 2424 bought and serviced from Calicut phoenix showroom has been having persistent problems. It was purchased in 2013, and for the last several months, we have not had good drive with it.
                              We showed the service personnel the glowing 'coil' indicator and the ' engine' indicator on the dash board, but was not corrected saying there is no issue. That was almost a year back. However we noticed that there was considerable sound in the engine. We reported it several times but the service personnel returned the vehicle saying their scanner did not show any problem.
                              Slowly the pull of the vehicle came down considerably. We suspected injector problem, and took the vehicle to the service station but they say they dont find any issue. It is the 3rd week the vehicle is with Volkswagen Phoenix showroom Calicut. I AM NOT ABLE TO USE THE VEHICLE FOR THE LAST 3 WEEKS.

                              I am really disappointed with the service of Volkswagen. I cannot throw away a vehicle in just 4 years. My santro from Hyundai is working fine since 2002 and Ford Fiesta since 2007. Really sorry about this state of affairs.

                                Hi,
                                I own a volkswagen vento and it is less than 1 year old. Surprisingly, the paint of the vehicle has started to crack and the body is getting rusted. Pictures attached.
                                When i sent the vehicle for service and asked them to pay attention to this issue, they spent 2 days with the excuse that technical team is reviewing the problem. Ultimately, nothing was done. I'm really worried about this now. This is the quality of a german car, which is know for the quality of its products.

                                Moreover, they charged my 600 bucks for washing as well and the car was not cleaned. This service was done by automarks, mathura road, new delhi.

                                  Referring volkswagen india complaint status update [id: 1799393]

                                  Based on above complaint status i attend for service on 5th jan 2018. Vw technicians replaced exhaust manifold gasket and charged 3k for their service, after running of 2000 kms still i found oil leakage in exhaust manifold and attempted 3rd time for same complaint. This time service manager told that there is crack in exhaust manifold and have to replace entire manifold which cost aprox. 32k. This is completely not acceptable. If there is a crack they should inform me at first visit while they replacing gasket and am sure manifold was cracked by while vw technician replacing gasket at first time.

                                  I need a permanent solution for this problem and i can't attend to vw service center each time for same problem.

                                    I have done booking and payment for vw ameo in vw coimbatore ramani cars. I paid first emi but still thay did not register my car, thay did mentioned wrong bank name in form 20 now thay are saying form 20 cancilation take time. Try to improve those kind of mistake this is not local made brand. Vw pls maintain customer satisfaction and try to get my car soon

                                      I have given my car vw cross polo for servicing on 13th march for 3 year maintenance service at the hosur road branch bangalore. The only problem i was facing was vibration in brake when speed is above 70km/h which was very well explained to the engineer (Vijay) while handing over the car. I was promised to get the car back on saturday 14th. When i called on 14th afternoon, i was told the service is still in progress, no problems detected, and i will get my car on monday 16th afternoon. I had already struggled 3 days till now without a car which i was supposed to get back on day 2. After repeated calls on monday to the engineer and the service center, they come back with a list of problems in my car on monday afternoon. Till now they had not fixed the brake which was intimated to them on the first day and gave me a list of problems with the ac, wiper, the sheet covering the radiator etc etc. I asked them to fix the brake which was primary which they said would take another day and promised to handover the car back on tuesday. Now, today, after repeated calls and multiple follow-up, they are again telling me there is a battery issue which needs to be replaced for which they don't have the part and will take another day to get-it and fix it. On showing some disappointment, they checked at some other service center for the battery part and said they have it there but since it is already evening, they can't get it today. I wanted my car asap as i am facing lot of difficulty in commuting to office, i proposed to get the part from that service center and handover to them so that they can just fix it and i can get my car today, to which they refused. The manager of the center patrick is very insensitive about the whole situation and just not responsive. This is very unprofessional and not at all expected with this brand name. I am also skeptical with what is happening with my car. I am really frustrated and request for your intervention so that i am freed from the harrassment i am going through.

                                      I took my car to vw service center .. and insteat of fitting my timing belt cover they put in back seat of car due to which my car engine got some problem in starting.
