I am a regular customer of zomato, the online food delivery service. Although i had chosen to ignore shortcomings in their service in the past, i humbly seek redressal of the 3 grievances mentioned below as disservice to the customer seems to have become the norm with zomato, rather than exception.
1 - order placed on 17th july 2017 : there was food spillage but zomato's response was that "we cannot fix what happened, we fail sometimes but give us another opportunity to serve" to which i replied back but there was no response

2- order on 28th july 2019 :
While ordering i was unable to apply the promo code and hence lost 40% discount. I wanted to cancel the order but there is no cancel button so i tried chatting with their cs rep but the window did not open for a long time, by which time the restaurant had started to prepare the order. Also, their cs helpline is not published anywhere. Again, the response to my email was unempathetic and failed to acknowledge their shortcomings

3- order placed on 1st aug 2019 :
Condiments were missing so i chatted with their cs exec online. The exec was least helpful, refused to disclose his name, refused to pass on my complaint to the supervisor and did not provide any resolution other than asking me to write a bad review on the restaurant so that other customers could be alerted. What a waste of my precious time and money!!!

I have raised the above concerns with zomato but i felt failed as they did not seem to care about either understanding or resolving the issue. All i received were "cold" standard "cut and paste" responses from their unempathetic staff. I would be happy to share the emails and chat screenshots.

    I have received a call from zomato food order ([protected]) that dealer asked debit card details, we are unexpectedly given details, within 5min my accounted is fully transferred to cirtus pat etailng account mumbai from indian bank chennai
    First amount - 88₹
    Second - 16000
    Third - 900
    So please take a legal action
    And we need support to avoid this situation

      I am Milan Umesh Dave
      I am a zomato gold member,
      i am supposed to get 1+1 food in hotel,
      When i said to hotel people (Hotel Nirvana Thakur Village) they said Zomato gold is not applicable on Platters, thali and Combos, .
      And during my staytime in hotel, I called customer care I did not find proper resolution.
      I called the manager too, but he also refused to give benefit of Zomato Gold.

      I got billed for 2 Chole bhature instead of one.
      I don't know whether it's whose mistake but I got billed.

      After going home i mailed a complaint to zomato gold email id, they said they have taken strict step and when i asked that whether i will get benefit of what you have stated in zomato gold membership, they are are not responding.

      I dont know what to do so i am posting my complaint here.

        I have placed an order with Zomato with Order # [protected] and it has been more than a day and a half that I have reported the issue on Twitter, but somehow, nobody at Zomato seem to care! The order was supposed to contain "A sunny Thali to beat all kinds of blues! Enjoy our delicious, zingy lemon rice with some authentic Sambar, subtle Masala Aloo, two fulfilling rotis and fresh onion salsa" - but what I have received was a joke of it. Neither Have I received the "Masala Aloo, onion salsa and rotis" as quoted, but the lemon rice that I have received was a joke. I have immediately taken pictures and have sent on twitter. I still have the pictures if you want! I was sick in bed when I ordered and it just added to my day! I had no response from Zomato from so far! and they do not even have a customer care number to talk to anyone about what went wrong and there is no response when I tried to reach them on twitter! I at least should know how to go about reaching to someone about what I have paid for!

We have ordered a ice cream at the time of 10 clck, but the guy is waited for 5 minutes, the mobile is silent, cant able to pick the call at last the guy was left the place and again we are trying to call the person... He came and behaved very rude with us like why you delivered very late and not picking the call.
          But the guy, who was discuss with me was rude behavior and as a girl who was waited for the place in front of the pg in mallleswaram, every one was bad with bad words and i cant able to talk with him. Really i was shamed infront of everyone, cant able to bear that moment.

          Kindly please take care of this canditate who delivered the ordered should have to be replaced as of now... Its is very much heartful condolence of me...

            I did an online payment of rs 373 for my food (Including rs 5 tip to the delivery guy and rs 20 for longer distance convenience fee). 10 minutes after ordering, the delivery guy calls me and says that he will not deliver the food because it is far. I requested him and told him that i am about to leave house for an emergency and my mother is waiting in home. I also told him that i have paid the convenience fees of rs 20 and tipped him rs 5 as well. He still denies at my face and disconnected the call.

            Now, i started chatting with the customer service guy and after a long struggle of 15 min he tells me that food cannot be delivered because of long distance issue.

            Now i asked him to refund my money back and he says me that you have to call the driver and ask him to cancel the order to get the refund. I called the driver and asked him to cancel the order from his end and the driver again denied stating that he is not able to cancel the order from his end.

            I again had a chat with the customer service guy and this time he tells me that he can not do anything. I will only get the refund if the driver cancels the order. If zomato will cancel the order from their end then i will be charged the cancelletion fee.

            I have taken the screen shots of the detail conversation that happened with zomato customer service. I need to know whom to contact and resolve this issue.

            I have few questions for zomato:
            1. Why you guys accepted my order when you have such a mega plan of denying the service
            2. Why you charged the convenience fees of rs 20 for long distance
            3. Why you hire such unprofessional people in the customer service team if they are not able to reslove such a minor issue.
            4. Don't you provide any training to your customer service executives.
            5. Do you hire anyone who wants to be a delivery guy?

            I am currently in a bus and my mom was waiting for the food. I trusted this guy to deliver the food on time. I didn't even get the money i paid for the food. I want to raise this issue in every platform possible along with the screen shots of the detailed conversation with the delivery executives.

            Zomato should be ashamed of harrassing your customers in such a way.

              I had placed a Zomato order from eat.fit on 21 Aug for a bowl of Thai Curry. The Thai curry had spilled from the bowl and into the sealed packet, and was dripping from the side of the packet too. I raised a complaint with Zomato support and they apologized and said they would refund it in Zomato credits. I informed them that I was unwell and would prefer if they could have the order sent again instead of refunding because I had to take medication....

              I ordered a cake on 21st August, 2019 for my friend's birthday but it was delivered in horrible state, being spilled all over the box.

              On sharing the picture of cake with the customer support, I was told that payment will be reversed in 4-5 business days and 100.85 credits will be added in zomato wallet. But its been more than 7 days, I have neither received the payment nor credits have been added wallet.

              Kindly look into the issue and initiate payment reversal at the earliest.

                Mein zomato bahut use karta hu but muze is bar bahut kharab experience mila hai. 1 he hotel wala 3 hotel ke nam se food de raha hai. Ye galat hai aur bill muze dusre he hotel ka de raha hai. Aur zomato ise ignore kr raha raha hai. Please legally action. Nahi to mein police complaint kar dunga. Food quality bhi acha nahi tha. Aur ye to bahut bada fraud kar raha hai. Please isee ligaly action karo. Muze ye acha lag he nahi raha aise tipe ka fraud ho raha hai.

                  I had ordered food from zomato yesterday and the employee who came to deliver was very rude and behaved inappropriately. Even though we paid him for the food he threatened me. Tonight at around 12 he came with other zomato bikes and threw stones at my car and broke the rear glass of the car as well as the side glass. We are filing a complaint against him as this is sheer act of violence.

                  Services are pathetic, I have charged for an order which was rejected through an app error. Asked for the refund and they had promised but so far got nothing, I had followed up with the customer care agent through chat services and via email but no success. Please don't use Zomato

                    Hello, today I have ordered 2 sets of parotta, 1 mutton briyani, 1 mutton masala and I paid it through COD. But I got it only 1 set of parotta, 1 mutton briyani and 1 mutton masala. So 1 set of parotta was missed in that. After opening the parcel I got shocked. I dunno whose fault and who should be responsible for this either the restaurant or the delivery person. I need to book complaint on this to rectify it and no further problem should attain to anyone who were using Zomato. And I am frightened to use Zomato app anymore for food ordering. Within a few minutes, they took my entire money rs.474/- not even refunding the amount to the customer, i chatted with customer service. They said we will escalate to a higher level and they did not even respond. Because of this, i am tensed
                      I got anxiety and i couldn't able to control my frustration and with depression.

                      This is my hardened money how can you guys just take easily. I can go to top extend to get that money.

                        I have ordered desserts worth 385 rs and by mistakenly cancelled the order with in 2 mins.

                        After that I came to know from zomato chat team that I will not get refund as it was cancelled post order accepted.

                        Please note that I have ordered desserts which is already prepared and it will not b wasted. I have sent mail to [protected]@zomato.com and haven't get response up to now.

                        May I know when can I expect the refund ? If not I would like to order the same items with money which already deducted.

                        Payment was done by Google Pay.It got cinfirmed and was paid to zomati.But zomato showed it not complete. I again ordered n this time everything was ok.                           On 20th august, i placed an order from pudding and pie for rs.181. The delivery guy who reached had no change and took my rs.500 note and never returned. It has been a week and i have spoken to chat support on zomato day after day after day with them promising me 319 credits and that they will fire that delivery guy. I have received no proof of action against that man and have received only 181 credits. Everytime i open a chat, a new executive asks me why i am asking for 319 credits instead of 181. It has been a week and zomato is incapable of issuing something so basic and after that the chat support signs off telling me to have a great day ahead and stay blessed. Not only have i been cheated of my money and the delivery guy gone scot-free, zomato has done nothing to fix it and are completely incompetent.

                            I placed an order today from no [protected] on zomato app
                            I cancelled within seconds
                            It did not give me any option to say yes or no
                            I immediately got message of cancellation.
                            My money is deducted. When asked they messaged that money could not be refunded as food started getting prepared.
                            This is not my fault zomato app is not proper
                            Anyways i ordered sweets which cannot be prepared its not pizza or other food. Total fraud app

                            I ordered from zomato and the order was cancelled where i already paid again the same thing happened with the other order and when i raised the issue the customer services were non responsive and negligent.
                            They were just getting rid of my complaint by giving me some credits and ending the conversation

                              I ordered food using my rupay card on dat.13/9/2019 due to unavailability of some item my order rejected by hotel.. Again i ordered food with another item then also my orders rejected by hotel by reason is restuarant closed for delivery. Theny i talked many time with customers support of zomato they keep telling me wait till today tomorrow but after waiting 15 days long still not received my refund amount total: 315 rs. I also inquired to my bank for refund with zomato rrn number but bank clerk said me that we dont received refund with this rrn numbers.

                                I had received a call from zomato gold department to renew my membership along with infinity dining service. I git the service renewed on 5th of august but as of now there are no infinity dining service being provided by zomato. I requested to return my money or pause my membership ir atleast extend my membership. But they r not at all helpful and resolution is being provided. Can i expect any help from here?

                                  I am writing this today august 26th
                                  Yesterday i ordered 2 cotton candy and 1 vanilla choco chips scoop on zomato mobile app
                                  Order # [protected] at 2:14 pm sunday 25thaugust
                                  The status showed "food is being prepared" for many hours
                                  The order was not delivered but in zomato app today it said "order is delivered" on today 26th august
                                  We were trying to chat multiple times but no proper response was given by zomato chat and also it does not have relevant options at all to properly communicate the issue to zomato
                                  So we tried reaching the restaurant and they said no zomato person came to pickup the delivery
                                  Zomato app still shows status "food is being prepared"
                                  When we called the zomato delivery person he says he has delivered it to another customer
                                  We called restaurant again they still keep saying no delivery person came for pickup and food was already ready within 15 mins o[censored]s placing the order in zomato app
                                  We called delivery person again
                                  The zomato delivery person says why are u calling so lately he should have been informed at that time even though we called him once earlier
                                  And he also stated that u can file a case against zomato but he has done nothing wrong
                                  Left with no other options
                                  Finally i sent an email to to: [protected]@zomato.com today (26thaugust2019) stating all these mentioned text here
                                  So tell me what have we done wrong?
                                  Placing order on zomato is our big mistake?
                                  I want strict action to be taken on delivery person and an apology from ur general manager on phone call and also refund amount immediately a proper email stating proper reason for this shocking negligent chat process followed and overall service provided

                                    I have placed an order through zomato. Because of some reasons i had to cancel the order just after 1 min of order. Before cancelling they didn't indicate that i will be charged penalty. To my surprise a reecived a message after 2 seconds of cancellation that whole order amount will be charged. I also requested executive to deliver the same order now if whole amount will be charged but they rejected the same. Why zomato can't revert the cancellation just after 2 mins and deliver the order if customer wants. Also charging full amount just after 2 mins of order is insane.

                                      I have placed an order of amount rs366 on zomato app. (Order id - [[protected]]) ph no - [[protected], date - august 05, 2019 at 03:40 pm
                                      Within a minute i accidentally cancelled the order to which i got a reply from your team that "as you had cancelled your delivery, neither we can received the money be refunded".
                                      I posted a complaint with zomato regarding this but no action has been taken till now. This is very unprofessional from zomato. Hope this will be resolved asap...
