I have been complaining through email and over chat since long, but zomato is non-responsive. They dont reply over emails/chat. This is one of the worst customer service provider.
I ordered a cake on zomato app and my order id is [protected], which cost me 860/-.
Unfortunately, the delivery boy didn't deliver it and declined the order.
I am writing in this regard after chatting with the customer care agent, receiving assurance that 100% amount will be refunded.
The issue was 'while doing online order for cake, i gave the delivery address of gurgaon sector 45, and then searched for cakes. Your app showed up some restaurants, i selected one restaurant and paid the amount. After nearly 2-3 minutes, i got a call from the delivery boy that order was taken from a far off place and hence they declined the order. Now, my concern is that if i have given the delivery address first, then how come your zomato app showed up a far off shops for cakes. This is technical issue, and a customer should not be charged with that.
I chatted with the customer care agent, and i was assured that this a genuinely a technical error, and once i sent an email regarding this, my refund will be processed.
Even after sending emails, they say that they prepared the cake, delivery boy picked up, didnt deliver and it all happened within 3 minutes and they denied the delivery and swallowed my money against it.
Zero star from my side for poorest service available in india
