By mistake order was being placed and even it was cancelled within seconds of order due to direct paytm option which had money in it. So after i cancelled whole money was charged as cancellation fees of whole amount which is i think not appropriate also it was being cancelled within minutes, so zomato could not give my money back for small thing ànd even i so many orders in past.

    I am running a take away restaurant located a gorakhpur, uttar pradesh. A zomato representative visited me and asked to tie up my restaurant with zomato and told me the benefits of the same. I readily agreed for the same and did all the necessary formalities. After few days i got a mail from zomato that my documents has been approved. The same day the representative visited my restaurant and installed the zomato software on my mobile and gave me the demo as how to use and illustrated about the software functionality. The very second day i ordered extra perishable food items that includes vegetables and non veg items worth rs 14358/- because as per the condition we have to deliver the items within 20-25 mins of time. To my surprise i started getting calls from my own clients whom i have told to order via zomato, as they tols that my restaurant is not showing live on zomato. Since then and it has been now more than 12 days my restaurant is not showing live on zomato. I have made numerous complain to customer care and to the local account manager of zomato but all in vain. The best part of zomato is they take the complain and they themself close the complain also without solving it.

    Dear concern request you to please let me know the status of partnership application with zomato. Till date my restaurant is not live on zomato. I am trying to call the local representative mr. Vivek shukla, even he is not responding to calls and texts.

      I was waiting for the food i ordered but i got a message that "you were not present at the given address and due to wastage of food you are charged by amount you have paid". But i was present at home and was waiting for my order. I didn't get food and even my money was not refunded.
      I registered complaint twice. But they replied me only once. There resonce is as below:

      Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the order id-[protected].

      We would like to inform you that according to new policies of zomato if the order gets cancelled because of the customer being unresponsive at the time of delivery, a cancellation charge is levied as the food is already prepared/dispatched.

      Our delivery executive, as well as our support team, tried reaching out to you multiple times but you were unresponsive to the calls. Hence, the order was cancelled. We would request you to avoid such incidents as it leads to food wastage.

        I had placed an order from zomato, due to some reasons i wanted to cancel and replace it so i immediately cancelled it within maximum 1 minute despite of the fact that the order wasn't confirmed from the restaurant. So, zomato levied the full order charges to my cancellation penalty amount. Hoping to get justice here after repeatedly talking to zomato customer care.

          I placed an order with dominos. My order got declined by their end after my money being deducted. Their automated chat service helps in no way! And they never bother to sweat about their customers. I have been writing to them but they don't budge. Lately, zomato has been very disrespectful & opposite of customer friendly. I read about the other complaints & the people are raged. I know this is not going to bother them at all but i hope they get attentive.

              I has issue with my order placed on 16th august at 5.20 pm of order no. [protected]

              Placed on pizza hut..
              The rider did not reach the location and he did not call me also.
              And i called him first from my end then he said that he is on the way..
              And after 10 minutes when i called him he says that i am at the location then i asked him about where was he then he said that he was at wrong location then instantly he said that the order is cancelled from zomato's end
              Now i want to ask one thing that if he was on location, can't he wait 5 minutes then call back if i was unresponsive..
              He did not wait also.. Nor he tried to contact me
              I can send you the screenshots of my calls also. This all happened in the time span of 10 minutes..
              At 17.53 i called him for the first time to which he said he is on way
              At 1800 hours i again called him to which he said that he was on location but that was wrong location
              At 1805 hours he did not pick up the call
              At 1811 hours i again called him and then he said that the order is cancelled from the company side because i was unresponsive and then cut the call.

              After that call he ignored my every call..

              At last i want you to please check the matter seriously and do the helpful

                I made an order in zomato and paid the whole amount through wallet. While the order was on progress, i made another order but it was taking too much time for order confirmation. So i decided to cancel the first order but mistakenly cancelled the second order. I unmediately tried to contact the customer service agent but my zomato app was not working properly and i couldn’t see the msgs from the other side. Even though i couldn’t see the msgs, i explained my scenario that i mistakenly cancelled the order but no actions were taken. Also my amount was not refunded. The food was not delivered. They can charge cancellation fee but taking the whole amount is not fair. A middle class person like me who struggles to save penny need justice from these “money eating devils”. I tried to contact zomato support team with screenshots of the issue i faced, but they were not ready to refund the amount. Then they should have atleast delivered the food. If zomato describes themselves as a service provider, then that shouldn’t be partial service. They say the order was prepared and that’s why i was charged with cancellation fee. If so they should have contacted both sides and check the issues and deliver the food which was prepared according to zomato. If i had opted cash on delivery, what they would have done? Just because i paid the amount in advance, i’m facing this injustice. Zomato service is in bearable. Now they are not even responding to my emails. What a wonderful service provider

                  I order my meal from burger king on 14th aug, somehow i did't received any call from your zomato executive or later he himself cancelled the order. When i received a cancellation message then i called executive and asked him to deliver the order on same address. For reference you can check with your executive also.
                  But my complaint over here is when i checked my order it was incomplete, on my complaint to your executive, he refused to help me and said call to burger king.. On call there number was switched off.
                  Neither your executive marked my order successful in order history due to which cancellation fees is showing in my cart.

                  This is something not done, first i didn't received any call, later my order was incomplete and rather then refunding my money you guys imposing cancellation fees.

                  I complaint on customer care again n again they are asking me to mail on [protected]@zomato.com when i am sending mail to them they are just sending me this 1 reply again n again without going through my grievance. This is an clear case of harrasement.

                    Since last 6 months money from my paytm wallet is being regularly deducted by zomato when i am not placing any order. Even mailed zomato of same but no response.
                    I have raised complaints to their escalation mail addressed also but no body is caring about it. Pls refund my amount immediately and pls let me know why money is being deducted

                      After ordering a dish you guys didn't even bother to update your app. The restaurant that took order from me informed that the order is ready and your delivery boys didn't even come. If you want i can place the snapshot attach it and send it to your operations manager. Who the hell is your operations manager and how you guys deliver the orders?? Is that how you serve your prime customers??

                      I'll make sure the entire incident is being shared in social media. Go guys break some eggs and enjoy your negative publicity. Losers!

                        I was assigned zomato valet Uday - [protected] for the above order and he refused to deliver the order to me to the delivery address provided and though I was on chat continuously forever with the chat support the resolution provided was to send an email and after sending email resolution provided if the order gets canceled due to the wrong delivery address, a cancellation charge is levied as the food is already prepared/dispatched. I do not understand how you can charge me for not delivering the food to the delivery address, ??

                        Never expected this kind of service from esteemed organisation like ZOMATO.

                          I ordered in Zomato khadai paneer from mittal hotel (hisar)for delivery sundar nagar(hisar). I paid in advance by paytm.The ordered will have reached 9:[protected].
                          But order was not reached and my money time and had waste. I loss my money. Customer care was not responding. No replied by customer care chat centre.

                          Where is my money?? Who is responsible for it. It is totally harassment. It is the best example of Poor management poor Service. I am still hungry due to bad service.

                            Zomato has turned to be a cheater app looting customers money.
                            I have placed an order [protected] worth 398 rupees.
                            I paid the same. After placing i thought of ordering from nearby restaurant as suddenly nearby hotel was visible.
                            I thought of cancelling and went to cancel.
                            Before i cancel, i can notice there was a message that 'it would cost me full amount of i cancel'. I was just reading it. Neither i accepted nor did anything. Suddenly my order was showing cancelled. Really patchetic and it is a glitch in zomato app.
                            I immediately asked zomato to deliver my food if cannot be refunded. But zomato had declined to deliver the food.
                            They declined refund as well despite there was no mistake from my end.
                            Why would one cancel if it costs full amount.
                            Very worst service by zomato.
                            I demand zomato to refund my amount immediately.

                              On 12th august i had place an order from amritsari foods and caterers restaurant through zomato app. The delivery person just cancelled the order without even coming to the address mentioned by me and i had already paid the amount they didn't bother to even give the refund. The customer service person even told me that i would get my refund within 3-4 days but as of now i didn't get my refund nor they are reverting my phones and mails

                                On 31st july i had place an order from machali restaurant through zomato app. The delivery person just cancelled the order without even coming to the address mentioned by me and i had already paid the amount they didn't bother to even give the refund. The customer service person even told me that i would get my refund but through the mail i got reply from zomato that i have been charged a cancellation fee. I have been charged the cancellation fee without even me cancelling the food.

                                My account is blocked. I'm not able to order food on online.So please let me know how to solve this problem. Because some money is there in zomato wallet.

                                  I placed an order with zomato, the delivery boy called me and said he cant reach me due to water logging so i should come and collect the order. I refused then he said, okay i will call you and you should not pick my call, the order will get cancelled on its own. I did as he said. Now for the next order i am being charged last order amount as penalty.

                                    fooling and cheating customer

                                    I was using zomato very frequently, but now i realised that i was a fool really, let me tell you two such incidents where you can clearly see how good it is

                                    I've received incorrect and orders with things missing 3 times. No response from th zomato support. Then why do you guys even have a support if you don't wish to do so? They always end the chat by saying you've reached zomato credit activity something. Is it my fault that you guys mess up my order each and every time? Now that i can't use support anymore, it's like they're deliberately messing up my order.
                                    P. S the shawarma had uncooked chicken so in case i get salmonella it's on you guys.
