Zomato food delivery service is pathetic and it is running a scam in the country. They are cancelling the orders without customer confirmation and immediately sending the orders back to the restaurant, profiting them.
1) no notification arrives on the phone, when delivery boy reaches the location.
2) if phone is not reachable, delivery boy cannot chat with the customer through app.
3) no text message is sent to the customer with a timeline of 10mins (Like in swiggy, uber eats) before any order cancellation.
I ordered the food for the first time from zomato [protected] and [protected] at my lunch time.
While i was coming down from the lift (No network in the lift) to collect my order, i noticed that it got cancelled within few minutes of the time i reached my office front gate.
I called the delivery boy, but he told me that order has been returned to the restaurant as my mobile was not reachable and he was unable to find my office location.
I immediately took my bike and went directly to the restaurant to inquire about my order. But they denied to provide me the order and asked me to pay them directly (Again) for my order.
This is a ninja technique zomato is following, benefiting the restaurant by paying them money even for not fulfilling the customer orders.
Zomato should be ban immediately in india. They are doing fraud!
