We would like to inform you that according to new policies of Zomato if the order gets cancelled because of the customer being unresponsive at the time of delivery, a cancellation charge is levied as the food is already prepared/dispatched.

Our delivery executive as well as our support team tried reaching out to you multiple times but you were unresponsive to the calls. Hence, the order was cancelled. We would request you to avoid such incidents as it leads to food wastage.

I just have one question

I just got call from Zomato team 2 times when I was on another call and with in 5min he cancelled my order.and my number is contactable. Means you are saying that if I ordered from Zomato till order delivered to me I don't have permission to get calls or call anyone.

What a service you guys have.

In Zomato app it is showing that my contact as well as address is not reachable which is not correct .

You check my previous order how much time I ordered on same address and all time it got delivered.

I want my money back because it's not my fault.
And if you are saying your executive called me many times kindly share the details to me.
After got massage I immediately called him for same but he was shouting on me.
I will go and complaint to consumer court for same.
I need proper explanation on the same.
This is very bad experience I got from Zomato.
You find snapshot of your app it is showing that I was not available To collect food At mentioned address and also I was not contactable.which is not correct I will share my office in and out time details with you.
I was available there

I also attached snapshots of my previous few order which got delivered on same address. Food was delivered more than 15times on same address.
Then why it was not delivered yesterday.

Your peoples are lying. If you provide such kind of service to your customers then you will loos them.

I need proper explaination from you guys.

I can understand I didn't picked up calls 2 times but address was correct and anyone can easily reached their but still your rider lying.

    I have ordered food through zomato order no.[protected] dtd. 11.07.19 with restaurant name boxmeal noida by paying prepaid through card, but without even delivering the meal to the mentioned address my order got cancelled. When i called the delivery boy he refused to deliver as it is already cancelled due to non availability of customer outside the society. How unprofessional this reply was when a customer himself is calling and waiting at the address by paying in advance. I have been told by zomato that i will get refund as per customer care chat support but till today i have not recieved it. I have confirmed by the security guard at my society that no one entered inside the building from zomato. And when i have mentioned the full address including flat number why did the delivery boy mentioned that he visited outside the apartment only,
    If due to any reason if delivery boy is unable to reach the destination is it customers fault. I am utterly disappointed by this experience through zomato.

      Dear sir,

      We have booked the order from zomato with [protected] for the items listed below:-

      1. Dal tadka
      2. Paneer do pyaza
      3. Tandoori roti

      The total amount of the above is rs.208. Whereas amount had been deducted from our account at the time of booking and items were not delivered and zomato rider denied to deliver the item at the address mentioned in the attached pic and zomato is imposing some deduction on the total amount.

      As a customer, we do not expect such kind of services from zomato which has no meaning and during making the contacts with zomato, no response and given details of the phone number were not reachable/not in use.

      Hence you're requested to take up the matter seriously with zomato. We're looking for compensation against this misbehave.

        On 13 july i placed a order through zomato by making prepayment, i was waiting for my order after half hour i received message that my order got cancelled due to non responsive on call. I was shocked to see message in just 5mins i contacted zomato customer chat service as now they do not provide call support. They said delivery boy tried but did not got any response so it got cancelled i told him deliver it now as i have already paid but he said already got cancelled so can't do anything. I was not worried as i thought i will get my refund but i got message that a penalty was applied for the complete order which was shocking for me. I had tried getting in touch with them multiple times but they are just giving automated reply

          Today i order a food on zomato firstly i do current location on zomato and when i order the location will be change. I pay the money on paytm. And the dilvery boy was not come in my current location . He behave very bad on a phone call. And i also talk with coustomer care number. But noting do . And not dilver my food and not return my money. Return my money if i case on zomato.
          Please return my paytm cash.

            Hi placed an order on 16th july 2019 from zomato. I paid the payment for an order i'd [protected] via phone pay e but received a confirmation payment failure and order cancelled. But funds debited from my bank account. Again immediately i palced another order with i'd [protected] and received a confirmation but paid via google pay.

            Immediately after 30mins i received a call from zomato asking for confirmation on two orders. Informed first is an failure one and second is an successful order. Asked them to check and process as i don't have to pay twice for same order on same day.

            They said we will do the process and the refund will be given automatically. However sent a email to support by talking with your chat team.

            Support online team says no we cannot cancel and refund as per policy but chat team says mam it's a gate way payment failure and so we will do the needful to u in 24 hours about refund.

            Tell me both are working for same company but different answers. Whom i should believe and where i should check.

            No contact number to reach any body for explaining this.

            It's a worst service. Never had this kind of experience earlier.

            I need your assistance if not i will take legally and post bad review about zomato in all social media becoz i have all proofs of chat and emails.

              I had placed an order from absolute shawarma using the zomato app on 12th july 2019. At the last moment i was given a call that one of the items is not available and they will refund 149 credits. It's been nearly 5 days and i have got in touch with the customer care atleast 7-8 times and each time they say that there was a system glitch and that they have initated the refund and i will get it in 24-48 hours. Clearly that is not the case since i haven't received anything over the last 5 days. On pushing the representatives they provide a tab id which has also changed 2 times and just to evade the difficult situation of answering to customers representatives bluff that you will get the credits in a few minutes/hours. They have taken this entire situation as a joke. Please look into the situation

                Zomato food delivery service is pathetic and it is running a scam in the country. They are cancelling the orders without customer confirmation and immediately sending the orders back to the restaurant, profiting them.

                1) no notification arrives on the phone, when delivery boy reaches the location.
                2) if phone is not reachable, delivery boy cannot chat with the customer through app.
                3) no text message is sent to the customer with a timeline of 10mins (Like in swiggy, uber eats) before any order cancellation.

                I ordered the food for the first time from zomato [protected] and [protected] at my lunch time.
                While i was coming down from the lift (No network in the lift) to collect my order, i noticed that it got cancelled within few minutes of the time i reached my office front gate.
                I called the delivery boy, but he told me that order has been returned to the restaurant as my mobile was not reachable and he was unable to find my office location.
                I immediately took my bike and went directly to the restaurant to inquire about my order. But they denied to provide me the order and asked me to pay them directly (Again) for my order.

                This is a ninja technique zomato is following, benefiting the restaurant by paying them money even for not fulfilling the customer orders.

                Zomato should be ban immediately in india. They are doing fraud!

                  After i ordered i got a call from restaurant saying that they don't deliver at my location and it is not showing correctly in the app. They cancelled the order. But in app refund was not initiated and it still shows food is being delivered. And when i checked in app it says due to high amount of credit activity for disputed order zomato cannot make any adjustments. If a restaurant is not delivering this is my fault? Now it says food was delivered where as in reality it was never accepted by the restaurant.
                  Please initiate the refund process.

                    Stop ordering food from zomato anymore specifically if the amount is more than 500. If it is a huge amount please do not order it from Zomato.

                    I have ordered food from zomato (biriyani Zone restaurant) of Rs 5259.50(paid online with order no #[protected]) on 8th July 2019, neither the food got delivered nor Zomato is refunding the amount stating that the delivery boy couldn't reach me out however I was holding my phone expecting a call from delivery boy but didn't get any call.

                    1) Zomato had cancelled the order by its own without prior intimation and has not refunded the money stating that the restaurant had prepared my order and I was unavailable to collect my order in the mentioned address. so I was charged for a penalty of Rs 5259.50.

                    But my question is - where did the ordered food go?
                    Is this a strategy made in between the restaurant, Zomato and the delivery boy to do extra business ?

                    2)when I had contacted the restaurant, they informed that the delivery boy ran away with the food items. The delivery boy sell those items somewhere else to get extra money, which I got to know after reading the complaints online.

                    More over customers don't get customer care call - support from zomato. They give only chat support.

                    They are simply doing fraud with customers...

                        I placed an order to dominos through zomato and received the message that your order was not placed and refund will reflect in 7 days. After 20 days, i dis follow up with the team, they said dominos will pay and i checked with dominos and dominis shared the txn id and no. For the refund of amount to zomato. I shared same with zomato executive then he said no dominos has to pay and after some time zomato executive changed his statement that they already paid and on the request for tx no. And id, they repeated the same thing again and again. I think they deliberately wants that peraon should get anger and say something wrong. I was really shocked that for a small amount, they were behaving like this.

                          I have order for one meal which contains 1burger french fries and 1coke from mcdonald's and my order summary is 260 inr. I got only burger and i have asked to delivered remaining order or take this and release my full refund as its your mistake. He said he can refund only 65 inr for fries and coke and he will charged me 195 inr for a single burger and his actual listed price for only burger is around 150 inr. Then i disagree with this resolution and informed him that i will complain against you in consumer complain then he said that he will refund me 100 inr. Even i can't able to eat that burger also without coke. At the end this all amount is not big but conclusion is that they are doing fraud only as if i have placed and order and refused to accept that order then as a penalty they charged me full amount if i am canceling my order within a min then also i have been charged full as penalty then when their restaurant are wrong then also a buyer have to bare this loss and also a buyer is remain hungry then what's the use of this online food delivery if they can't manage it. There should be only two option that i got my order or i don't get my order. Partial order should not be accepted. Suppose i am ordering for a roti and sabji and they only delivered roti then they supposed to eat me only roti and refund me a small amount for sabji.

                            On july 12th 2019 had placed an order with order id [protected], the delivery boy didn't deliver the order but marked it has delivered, i contacted customer care and they said they will call him and take conference call with me, but they didn't do, later on said he is not picking the call. The next day when i again contacted customer service they again said the same thing and told they have initiated the refund process, but till today i haven't received my amount back. When i contacted them again they said they have given zomato credits. And if i check zomato credits are also not given in zomato wallet. Every day when i contact they say it will happen in another 24-48hrs, i am really fed up of contacting them daily. I am requesting them to refund my amount back but they are not refunding at all.

                              Problem is order is accepted in 2 secs if someone hits place order by mistake. Restaurant didnt prepare food for my order, even they didnt started on it as i have called them very same moment requesting not to prepare as order was not complete and i nee to re-order for which they accepted understanding my concern.

                              Then why false charges are been placed when restaurant even didnt started preparing order?

                              Rs 485 is not something small amount, if order would have been prepared i would have accepted these charges but try to understand this doesnt make sense to make pay for something which i didnt consume n even food was not prepared.

                                Dear team

                                I am working in zomato past two months. On the day of 9th july i logged in the system in zomato.

                                In one point of time my bike is repaired and not started so i put the offline in system... But i assigned by the order by the system.. This is not my mistake... It is purely technical fault.. I got one denials for me... It affected my account/payouts...

                                In one more point of time, i picked the order and delivered to the customer. On the way, my mobile get switched off by insufficient charge. Eventhough i completed the order i got dispute on this order. It is severly affected my account/payouts.

                                I have completed targets given by zomato also. But i didn't get my daily milestone pay & special ming incentives also for the day

                                I have raised complaints/tickets against these issues to zomato processing team. They promised to clear the issue on 14th july 2019 itself. But still the issues not yet solved. I have attached the screenshots of the conversation also.

                                I request you to resolve the issue and help to get my payout from zomato. Kindly do the needful

                                  I have ordered food at 12.30 am after 5 minutes i received a call from restaurant stating they are cancelling the order as they run out of item and i was told i will receive refund from zomato but in the morning after i emailed zomato for refund i received an email at 9.30 am stating food is delivered i am unable to contact both the restaurant and zomato over phone as and zomato is not responding to my emails i am attaching the proofs please verify the timings and resolve the issue kindly

                                    Hi, my order has not been delivered after confirming the order and taking the money saying delivery boy is not delivering coz its a black zone area. I hv been ordering food at this address for last couple of weeks, suddenly it is marked as black zone area and an insane delivery person told that he will not deliver and ur customer care told what to do if the delivery person is not agreeing to deliver, and we are refunding the amount, and when i asked that what to do now im hungry and waiting for the food. He gave a very sincere advice of ordering food from some other app. First of all i'm not responsible for all this if at all it is a freaking black zone or something then u should not accept the order in the first instance, and secondly if things were getting delivered earlier what happened this time, i want a proper action against that delivery guy and that idiotic customer care representative who did not took any initiative and acted helpless. My order number was [protected], if a proper resolution is not provided i'll sue the company, because it's a proper example of reckless and worst customer service. And this incident clearly shows that customers hunger and there time is of no value to you.

                                      They have blocked me from doing chat... I have order food on zomato right now and it is late... I don’t know where my food is... I already paid for my food online... Already have food quality issue with in past and i don’t have an option than ordering online... I don’t know whom to call now... If they blocked me from doing chat how can i order food from now... I have asked for credit for my last order but they didn’t response and blocked without my permission... I hope someone will take some serious action so that we don’t have to experience such issues...

                                        I ordered a vegetarian dish through Zomato and I received a non vegetarian dish. The customer care executive is not at all responding. I am a strict vegetarian and I received a non veg item and the zomato customer service is not even caring!!. Strict action needs to be taken against them to stop these kind of disasters from happening in the future.
                                        Zomato customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
