First order had over spicy dum biryani, complained, got refund. Restaurant apologised, gave 2nd chance, oredered same with pre instructed, to improve and not to make over spicy. They gave over spicy again, are we taken for granted, my money is wasted, one food is still kept unopened. To proove... Asked on the spot to verify with customer support. I asked to take back and pay my amount.. Since u both cheated me... Looted my amount in the name of being a customer oriented service... Pre instruction were not followed, my hard earned money is looted here... They refused to pay back... My family slept without eating... Who is responsible for the situation... Mentality it has made upset and depressed. Kindly take it seriously, take action and compensate my loss

I ordered food which was cancelled by zomato.
They took the money but didn't refund it after cancellation.
I make an order through zomato...and he didn't pick up my call and then zomato declined that order but didn't refund my money and give useless reasons

I have ordered Dosa in Sangeetha restraunt last week and it got cancelled due to some reasons.And it was mentioned that money will gets refunded within 5-7 days in my bank.account.But I hope I haven't received it yet.

Ordered on Jun 15th.

Could you check and confirm me whether it has been refunded or not ?

    I placed an order on 28 Jun for an item and a coke worth 90 INR, the coke was never delivered, I had a chat with their executive who told me to write a mail, which I did.
    All that happened after that was an apology mail from Zomato 3 days later.
    No refund was issued.
    This is basically stealing customer's money, today I had a chat with the executive again and he said he can't do anything and abruptly closed the chat.
    Stop scamming people and refund my money right now.

    I recieved a call today sayong he was from zomato and will refund my amount, I am pretty sure he was a scammer as he insisted that he will require my paytm login details to refund.
    I told him to refund using zomato credits, he said it's not possible, then I told him that my paytm account is already linked with zomato, still he insisted that my login details are necessary.
    Basically a scammer.

      I ordered food via zomato. But i foregate to us promo code. Within a minute, i contact to customer care and told him that i foregate to use my promo code and i have paid payment via paytm. Now i want to cancelled the order and refund the amount. The officer confirm to me that i (Officer) cancelled the order and your refund will be transfer in your vallate within 24-48 hours.
      Now today i saw status of my compliant. There are a message show that "we are not able to refund your amount.

      I request that pls take action and refund my amount.
      Amount is not big. But trust is trust.

      I continue contact on zamato app via support chat. and they were saying that there is some technical issue. due to delay of refund. but after three days they not solve it.
      Zomato customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
      Red pasta was smelling really bad that i can't even eat it. Garlic bread has no garlic in it... Burger was bad and French fries were oily. They are not refunding my money. My Money is wasted and food was untouchable.

      I ordered some stuff on zomato and they debited my account but showing payment incomplete in order details.my order number is:[protected]
      I have been sending over tons of emails to the customer care, however they were unable to resolve the issue. How a customer is supposed to avail the services when the company is blocking unnecessarily. Please take it forward.

        Hey i am order some food on 20-june 2019.

        I m order some food from your appliaction but there is no communication between dilivery boy an me and from your side my order was cancelled and my money was not refund to my account. Please refund my money as soon as possible otherwise i will go for legal proccess against this.
        And dilivery boy was not wait for a while to contact again

        This is 3rd time I am suffering from it. they send me high salt, uncooked, foul smelling food, even I write a Mail regarding this but didn't dolved my issues. They brive me 150rps but I want my full money back. Now I want my full money back 385+172(previous order) total 557 ruppes.

          I placed order on zomato at 6:42 pm and didn't get any update till 7:20 pm so i contacted customer care and they told me that your order is marked delayed and you will get refund. But when i didn't get any refund and contacted customer service again then he told me that we can't give you refund and can only give 50 rs zomato credit.
          Third class behaviour of customer care.
          And this happened to me for the second time.

            Details: order number - [protected]. Food ordered on 19th june 2019 of rs 165.50. Paneer banjara dum biryani from restaurant known as dum matka from goregaon east. Phone number [protected]

            I ordered veg biryani from restaurant in goregaon mumbai known as dum matka. Order was supposed to be delivered at work place. So chances are rare that they can reach me on my cell phone. That's why we mention office landline number with delivery address. Instead of calling me on landline they tried few times on cell phone and said order got cancelled as you were unresponsive. Zomato and swiggy deliver so many order daily in my office and they don't have to call us. Just reach reception and security will call us to pick up order. Delivery guy said he is new in malad area so he went to some other premises which i mentioned as landmark. I spoke to restaurant manager vinod he said delivery guy didn't return food back to restaurant and they don't know what he did with the parcel. Zomato customer care on live chat said refund is already been processed but now email received from zomato says they won't process refund as per policy. I have screenshot of chat proving refund was promised by zomato.

            Ordered 2 chicken biryani, one egg Biryani and one chicken kobab but not received one chicken biryani... Not received any invoices for the order
            Despite cancelling order in couple of minutes i was fined the full amount of order by Zomato which i have to pay along with next bill. this is outrageous i am paying ofr nothina and had a valid reason for cancellation.
            Why should i pay for something i didnt want or received.

              I am writing this complaint for the issue with the refund. I ordered food from abhinandan hotel on 21st june 2019 from zomato app of rs 335 (Debit card payment). The restaurant was closed. So i had call received call from zomato representative that the order has been cancelled and refund will be initiated between 4-7 days. But it's 30th june today and still money has not been credited from my account. How can the app allow to order and debit my money even when the hotel is closed?

                I don't understand this logic. I am ordering something for 200 rupees and when i want to cancel it, you are asking me to pay the same amount just for cancelling?! The minimum amount for cancelling an order is 75 which is understandable. But how are you jumping straight to 200? Now i can't even cancel my order because it literally does not make any kind of sense!!

Maine job ke liye nayi bike li thi company ne rojgaar dekar hmko dhoka kiya apna kaam nikal kar hmlogo ko baitha diya.. Kya humlogo ke paas koi rights nai kya... Kripya karke majboori ko smjhe meri bina notice ke kisi ki job chin lena galat hai..

                    My name is santhanam. First of all please find the attached snapshot of my order details. I am the one who has planned to celebrate this sunday with my family and i thought to order food through zomato. However everything has been spoiled with in 2 minutes by your team. Because your delivery person has called me at 10.02 a. M that time i am in some other work. I have called him back at 10.03 a. M but he said order has been cancelled but he is in my location only. I have asked him is it possible to deliver he said no. Then i have convinced my family to prepare something. Can you imagine how it affects the happiness over here. All happened with in 2 minutes. I need immediate refund of my money which i have paid for that order along with your escalation matrix.

                      We placed an order through zomato order number is[protected]; it was an ultimate bucket from kfc. We kept waiting for order delivery since last 30 minutes and after 30 minutes they told us that kfc rejected the order but when we checked with kfc they told us that zomato cancelles the order themselves. We made an online payment and we requested for refund they told us that we need to wait. It is such an agony that we first waited for the food and now we have wait for our own money customer care executive who spoke to us was rude and acted more of a robot than an active sensitive human. This is a worst website to place an order. Guys just uninstall this app these guys fool you specially when you make an online payment.

                        I am writing this complaint regarding one of my order placed on 21st Jun 2019 from Biryani Blues.I have never experienced such a bad experience from Zomato earlier.Due to some technical glitch from your end, the order was placed twice and the money got deducted from my account. I have made an order amounting to 1627.30 rupees.Just after that I immediately called the Biryani blues outlet and asked him to cancel the order as there was some error in the server while ordering.The person asked to contact Zomato for the same.I called the outlet directly and the guy there informed me that he has not received the order and within seconds I saw that the status changed to "Food is being prepared".
                        This is extremely sad that Zomato having such a big name does not have a customer number to contact. I struggled getting the agent on chat, as to which I had to answer few of your objective kind of questions.After getting the order cancelled, the agent told me that the amount will be refunded and to send a mail to [protected]@zomato.com. The agent confirmed that the money deducted will be refunded because there was some technical glitch faced by zomato at that time.
                        I request you to kindly refund the amount or else ask your agent to refund the amount who so politely informed me that he will refund the big amount from his pocket.
                        I do not understand as to why the customer should suffer between your so called policies and why zomato is not having a customer care number for resolving queries. The contact email id([protected]@zomato.com) is completely useless as I could'nt find any satisfying reply from there end.
                        I request you to kindly work on my complaint as soon as possible.

                          Order placed at 7.40PM and cancelled within a minute at 7.41, due to change in plans, on chat support they said to drop email to customer care they'd help with refund, till day I'm waiting for the refund. They've totally unexpected, and unfair trade practices and exploit customer's trust, this is not the first time I've faced issues here.. kindly help

                          The information of refund policy or no refund was also not clear during cancellation.. it seemed as if it'll be refunded.. and it should be due to such minuscule span of order placing and cancellation.. chat support mentioned don't worry it'll be refunded.. please email to support.. n support in reply is denying and runninge policy statements.. when the matter isn't that complex

                          2. not like it was prepared or dispatched, not even delivery guy assigned,
                          3. during cancellation no proper detail of no refund shown,
                          4. no refund is totally unfair and unacceptable here,

                          kindly provide resolution instead of providing template response in emails which doesn't mean anything and is no help at all.

                            For what reason zomato is working if we ourselves had to go to collect our order.
                            I don't think so i will continue my association with zomato, not only this i will warn people and make sure people in my known don't take your services.

                                I called up the rider ph :[protected], arshad but his mobile was switched off.

                                I contacted your customer care but got no help, they told the rider has switched off his mobile (Attaching the conversation and also location of the rider when it is being shown as delivered)

                                  I have used this app a lot of times but at least 4-5 times i have ordered food and after waiting for a minimum of an hour in each case i have been told my order is cancelled and the amount will be refunded only after 5-7 working days. If they cant delivery why the hell do they accept the order in the first place. They cut the amount for the order immediately but then cancel the order and refund the amount only after 5-7 working days. They make people wait for their orders hoping to get their orders and then after all the wait they say it has been cancelled and may a times that has caused the other restaurants to shut due to which the person ends up remaining hungry because of the screw up of zomato.

                                    I have ordered from KFC unfortunately my phone number don't response. I go to KFC with in 20mnt I collect delivery boy phone number and I call him but he do very bad behavior with me he said he don't know about my order because my phone number don't respond. I have one question why he don't back the order in KFC why he don't wait atleast 30mint for me...why he ate my order.

                                      My order has Not been delivered by the restaurant FIRANGI BAKE in Secunderabad. Its cheating and pathetic service and not expected from ZOMATO. Despite speaking twice with Firangi Bake call center they said of refunding amount after few days. I have ordered food, what will I do with refund?
                                      The delivery boy has called me thrice and now says that he cannot come to deliver.

                                        People pay attention please, if you dont want to loose large amount of money to zomato please read.
                                        Tldr: zomato is asking people to pay cancellation fee for the order i already paid for and ate. Delivery boys are scamming people and customer care is ful of kinds who do not want to help you one bit.

                                        I have been zomato customer for long time and i order from them here and there, 4 days ago i ordered from hong kong restaurant. The bill was for 690rs
                                        After 30min app showed order is out for delivery, i called the delivery guy and he said its just an error and order is still being prepared. I said ok. Then when the food was still not delivered after 1 hour i called him again, he said still no food, i thought maybe they are taking time to prepare some fresh item (I can empathize with other restaurants as i have run my own restaurant, so i usually dont pressure them to hurry up)
                                        After 1 hour 30 min called again and delivery boy said just got the food from restaurant and he is coming. After reaching my home the guy started rambling about the restaurant being late, i was really loosing my patience as it was hot standing in sun and my food was getting more and more soggy (Golden fried prawns get soggy very fast) i just gave him 700rs and said 10rs is tip keep it. I would have given more if the order was on time.
                                        He gave me food and then to my surprise he asked me to put my phone on airplanne mode, i was like wth? He is so late and now he has audacity to ask me to switch off my phone, he kept requesting me, telling me that he will get paid more, also me and him will get bothered by the customer support. I was so frustrated at that point i just put my phone on airplane mode and showed it to him, he said ok sir now please keep it this way for 10-15min. I did not suspect anything as i was tired and just wanted to eat my food. I just went upstairs and ate the food.
                                        2 days later i was watching a video on youtube about a day in life of zomato delivery guy, there the guy said we get 10rs for every good rating or something like that. I was happy to hear that and so i though let me rate all the orders i have got till now so delivery guys gets extra money.
                                        When i opened my zomato order list to my surprise my order of that day was showing declined, i was confused as i already ate the food and paid for it, then how come it is showing declined? Then i checked the list and some of the orders i already got and paid for were also showing declined. I contacted chat and asked them why was it showing declined when i ate the food, restaurant did not get the food back and i paid for the food? The chat was as helpful as a monkey can be, the guy took 30mins of time to tell me that i will have to pay the cancellation fees as i rejected the order. I was dumbfound, the order was so late, the delivery guy was hell and now i have to pay cancellation fee for an order i already ate and paid for???
                                        I contacted the email support and got the same bot reply from them, but one important thing was exposed during that, the reason for order rejection was that i was unresponsive to delivery boys calls and zomato customer care calls. Thank god i have call logs where i called delivery guy so many times and even when i got the order. But now i understand why that delivery guy asked me to switch off my phone. If you are as polite as me then when a person face to face asks you to do something, you would usually do it even when you do not want to do it. This resulted in me having to pay 700rs for an order i got and i already paid for.
                                        The incompetence of zomato customer care is beyond any measures, simple solution for this was that they could just ask the restaurant if they got the food back. As i got the food it will have not gotten back to restaurant and hence proving my innocence, but no the customer care will send you automated replies asking to pay cancellation charges for an order you already paid for.
                                        700rs is nothing, i would have just paid the amount to them if they had tried to help me instead of asking for money like greedy bastard without any though and without reading my mail even for a second.
                                        My main reason for writing here is that i want everybody to know what kind of scam is going on here, just think if you ordered for a party and bill is around 20000rs, then you pay for the order and next day zomato asks you to pay for that order again as the order shows declined (Even when you got the order and paid for it) what would you do?
                                        Be careful, i have already posted this on many social media platforms and have taken my business to swiggy, i advise you to either be careful or switch to swiggy as when your time comes these so called zomato executives will not help you one bit, they are kids working in call centers just there waiting for the paycheck to arrive. They dont have 1% motivation to help you. Worst customer service i have ever seen and the delivery guy should be in jail for scamming me.
                                        The main problem here is he knows where i live, i am from a good family and if i complain about him and he is of criminal mentality think what he can do?
                                        Will you take the risk? He looked like criminal and was accompanied by other guy, which was unusual as delivery guys are usually alone.
                                        Think before you order next time as you dont know what these guys will trick you into.
