Yesterday i had ordered biriyani. The potato was burnt. Chicken feathers found in it. When i complained zomato they assured for a refund and thereafter 4-5 hours they blocked my account. When i approached them. They told that my account cannot be unblocked. Beside providing poor service and quality they have also blocked my account without any prior notification. I had 230 rupees in my wallet. But they have blocked it.

    I was supposed to get a discount but zomato charged me before applying the discount the moment i changed my mode of payment. Extremely sick customer service. They haven't resolved my issue yet and i think companies like these who don't care about their customers should shut down. I tried to reach them through chat, i tried reaching the restaurant and that guy lied to me. The people on chat were hoping my issue was resolved after responding 40 mins later. For something as general as food, an industry in which these piece of craps have made so much money. They loot us. Expecting an action.

      So i ordered pizza from onesta chennai, i specified not to put mushroom in it as i am allergic to it.
      Still i got mashroom in both of my orders.
      When i tried contacting zomato chat there was no response. I couldn't eat any of it.
      For one slice i tried removing mushroom and eating it which gave me a bad stomach ache since then.
      It costed me 400 rs for something that i couldn't even eat.
      I want my money back.

        I ordered food yesterday (04/05/19) and received a wrong order.
        I complained and they gave me zomato credits.
        However, since today morning its showing that account is suspended because of suspicious activity.
        I have mailed them also, but did not get a prompt reply.

          Hello,

          I am working with a company where we don't have right to access our mobile phone. I ordered food from zomato and they showed me eta time of 20 - 30 minutes. I have checked my phone in 20 minutes but i was in utter shock that they have cancelled my order l. Yes they called me i understand that and i also understand their cancellation of the order though they delivered before committed which is a great thing but not for our job people. But the policy of not refunding customer's hard earned money is a question raised from my end. I talked to the restaurant and they informed me that delivery man has not returned the food to them and they normally eat up that food. And this has been observed by them most of time. As a customer experience the restaurant guy have given me free meal because he understood that me and even the restaurant is cheated by zomato people. Now the zomato people saying that as per their cancellation policy they take all money of customer's if the order is cancelled. So i don't think that this is at all logical policy. I am not just complaining about the money but its the way that zomato have behaved and they've treated me as their customer. I chatted with its csr agent through its app and i complained about this incident so do you know what his answer was?? He said that mostly customers have problem with delayed delivery but you have problem with early delivery. He also said that i can't help you, you can send e mail to [protected]@zomato.com or refund and even they denied to honour my case. I asked that chat csr his name and he said that we are not allowed to share personal details. Now come on even i am working in mnc customer operations and we have to share our names. I feel cheated. I didn't had problem with early delivery. I have problem with its after service. No one have crores to waste. It was my hard earned money and i really feel that they should have helped me out of the box like that restaurant guy did. Even i am working in a customer service and i do understand terms and policies but there are also terms like customer experience, courtesy, respect. I really need help from you guys and i want justice.

            I placed an order on zomato under which i select some other place but place wasn't select and i placed the order after which i realised the place selected was wrong and within seconds i cancelled the order. And they denied to refund. Even i request for chat on the spot regarding refund or delivery even after 40 min they were unable to respond. This is a cheating... They are looting people.

              I had ordered biriyani last night i. E 4th may and initially the payment failed due to there site issue and i made the payment again as i thought it was an error.
              Today i saw that the amount of 226 deducted twice. Please sort this out and order details can be found below-

                I placed this order on zomato at 8.52 pm on 04-05-2.019, but i was not able to use the discount code, and hence i cancelled it within 1 minute of placing it. After i cancelled it, i received a pre set message that your refund will come in 2 days. Later i cross checked, i got another message that the penalty of rs.198.50 has been charged and the rest of the amount shall be refunded. I felt cheated at the overall incidence because of the following reasons -

                1. The order amount was rs.198.50 so how can zomato say the rest of the amount shall be refunded.
                2. Before processing the cancellation, no warning pop-up was shown on the screen, they claim that they have sent a message on the chat room, but i am quite sure, that was not sent earlier. I find it dubious.
                3. Why such a hefty penaly, which is equivalent to 100% order fee, that too when the order was placed and cancelled in the margin of 1 minute?
                4. I ask, that should a customer be charged so brutally for an error made by him or her that the entire amount is forfeited, even when the order is not prepared, but only placed.

                I need a refund and an apology from zomato.
                Since i cancelled my order immediately, i am willing to pay certain amount of penalty for that, but that should be justifiable and not so unreasonable to the amount of 100%.

                  I have placed and order and it was wrongly cancelled in chat option. Now i am neither getting refund nor delivery. How it can be done. Plz process the ordee or refund the amount. I am a zomato gold member. My no. Is [removed].
                  Waiting for reply to chat service since 45 minutes. It is showing wait time as 1 minute since last 20 minutes. Nobody is bothered to reply.

                  Further, plz cancel the gold membership and refund the amount if possible because i don't want such a pathetic customer service. Swiggy is much better than zomato.
                  Now there social media team is calling and saying that refund can't be initiated as orxer cancelled through chatbot. Why they such a pathetic chatbot for cancellation. Who would cancel the order if there is no refund. This is way to cheat people. There chat support team never replies.

                  I want refund as well as compensation because i have to sleep hungry and angry because of these pathetic people.

                    The order was from kfc of 2 small buckets n they gave only one n costed for both n the delivery guy said there is no bill to be given... It's the worst behavior... This is the most biggest bluff by kfc n zomato guys... They need to be sorted... The bill was of 633 rupees of 2-5 pcs smoky red grilled. N the guy gave me one tint bucket n said that they don't give bills... N no one is ready to respond

                      Hi, i have placed orders regularly on swiggy and zomato. On zomato, once i had placed an order, the delivery executive hadn’t even reached my area, he called me, i didn’t answer but i called him back within 3 minutes & he cancelled my order. Zomato has charged the full order amount as cancellation charges and to get that refunded i had to follow up for 2 weeks. Now, they served me bad quality food for which i claimed refund, they processed for some orders and then they blocked my account. I have also paid for gold and i cannot order online even after paying a premium for their services.

                      They’ve not taken any action in this case.

                        My zomato account has been blocked. I am not able to using online order service or gold service, anything.

                        I have been a regular customer and there has been no suspicious activity from my account, it is a mistake from their side.

                        I request them to restore all my service so that i am able to online order as well as use my gold account.

                        I have emailed them 10s of times, but they are not replying.

                          I ordered a food from zomato and it got cancelled from me only by my mistaske. Instantly i contacted to them zomato team and restaurant and explained that it happened from me. I asked them for my order at that time only as it was done erroneously by me. The zomato team didn't even responded to my query timely.

                          Eventually, they deducted my whole amount as cancellation amount and now they are stating that it is as per their new updated policy.

                          And, moreover they are adamant on their excuses and delayed responses.

                          Now, they are not refunding my money back.

                            Dear team,

                            As per the telephonic conversation with the rider and customer service team, the address mentioned on the app while placing the order was right however the rider refused to deliver at the location n insisted to come n receive the order where he had reached which is totally in opposite direction.
                            If zomato was unable to deliver the order why in first place did the app allow to place the order, the behaviour of the rider n customer service was very rude.
                            They refused to deliver the order n suggested to cancel which will cost no refund of the order amount i. E rs408.
                            Very pathetic service, i want refund of the entire amount or else the case will be further escalated on social media as well along with the call recordings. Prompt response is highly appreciated

                              Hi,

                              I've ordered food from zomato app and cancelled the order with in one minute as i realised that i did a mistake. The ordered was cancelled by zomato very fast but amount was not refunded. No response from. Zomato chat support. There is no customer care number to call and talk about issue.

                              Kindly take action against zomato and resolve the issue.

                                I was planning to order from abhiruchi hotel and searching few more items to order .suddenly it get placed order for 430rs and immediately I cancelled, they are saying within two days it willl get refund but including toady it's 4th day no response from zomato such nonsense app this guys are using big beggers in India. If you don't have skills to manage why you guys are wasting our time. This is not fare enough. What kind of policy do you guys are having such a nonsense, go and learn few things first and run a company, without knowledge without understanding about customer how you are maintaining chuteyey. Bludy nonsense.

                                    You answered my message after 50 minutes i requested for cancellation and order was not accepted by restaurant until 5 minutes order was placed within which i communicated my cancellation but it is you who didnt responded until 50 minutes. So its communication gap from your side for which i cant be charged cancellation fee when i communicated it before acceptance and when your executive who call me said no cancellation fee and now you're charging few. You can see when i requested for cancellation and when the reply was given. I requested for cancellation before it was accepted so i made request from past order which u can see in screen shot for requesting. Also ur executive said no cancellation charges.[protected] order id, mobile [protected] for which i cancelled order that was placed unintentionally. I requested for cancellation as soon as order was placed. But none responded from your side for long time. But as soon as order was accepted and delivery boy assigned, i called him and ask him to cancel order which he communicated to restaurant. After some time one of your executive call me and confirmed cancellation and he said no cancellation fee. Even i made conversation through delivery agent he said order was still not prepared but just accepted by time cancellation was done and even your executive who called me also said no cancellation charges. But now it is showing cancellation fee. I request you to solve this issue as this is my first cancellation and that too after proper communication from my side but miscommunication and late communication from your side regarding late reply for message i kept. Because i passed information regarding cancellation before order was accepted which you can see through screen shots. Also ur executive said no cancellation fee. If he said there is such i wouldn't but he didn't say that. Mobile [protected].

                                    When i requested cancellation at 11:30 order accepted at 11:35 and you gave reply at 12:20..its ue communication gap but i communicated cancellation before acceptance. When ypur executive said no cancellation fee when he cancelled when j pass information through delivery agent and further confirmed food ia not prepared but just accepted you cant charge me cancellation fee

                                      I have placed a order where zomato agent called me & said he will come in next 10 minutes as he wanted to fuel his bike tank but he didnot come nxt 25 mins & update in the app order deliver after taking the help of chat np 1 reverted my query my money has been deducted from the account but food is not delivered no 1 is bothar to reply from zomato on my query.. So zomato is a poor deliver services.

                                        I ordered biryani from kumbakarnas tarnaka hyderabad. One of the worst restaurant i have ever and that biryani i got was tooo cold and i think that was from yesterday's. I called to restaurant no one picked the call and no customer service for zomato # service swiggy is very very best compared to zomato. They have good customer support and response towards customers.
