I have provided my full house address and just my phone number was not reachable, so they cancelled my order. And now they are refusing to refund the payment. I could see on the live tracking system that the delivery guy was just standing 20-30 mtr away from my location, at that same time i tried calling zomato delivery guy, but his number was busy for a long time (I have proof of the same). So how it can be my fault. Moreover i haven't received what i paid for. I also forwarded a mail for the same issue to [protected]@zomato.com, and they replied - "we would like to inform you that according to new policies of zomato, if the order is cancelled because you were unresponsive at the time of delivery, a cancellation charge equal to the order amount is charged as the food was already prepared/dispatched.". For the same i asked, what if the delivery guys number was busy for a long time, is there any policy in that case. And i haven't received any reply against the same. If this is the case how can we trust zomato : -
1. What if the delivery guy is lying?
2. I provided my house number and full address, then why you are just considering number not reachable.
3. What if, i would have selected offline payment.
4. When did they inform me about the new policy?
Zomato customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

Updated by rv972 And if such are the policies adopted by the company, i would have never ordered anything form Zomato.
