This is in regards to my order number [protected] placed on jan 27th, 2019 placed at orange wok [chennai]. This order was cancelled by delivery person as he was not able to reach me on my mobile number.
First of all, i have an order history of more than 40 and never have faced this problem and i am completely disappointed by what has happened.
The delivery person has called me thrice, i was standing outside my home waiting for my order [had kept my phone in my home]. Since it was taking a while, i picked up my phone to see 3 missed calls and spontaneously gave ring back and got an update that my order was cancelled.
Now to explain about the timeline, i received 3 calls continuously and i had called back in 5 mins to be precise.
Total wait time = 3 mins + 5 mins that is not even 10 mins of your time. [ please refer my screenshot]
In 10 mins when i had returned the call, the delivery person mentioned that he had left and he cancelled the order. If i am right, in 5 mins he wouldn't have crossed the main road from my place.
Please also note that, i was standing just outside my house and i saw no delivery person during my wait time.
Also, my order has the address mentioned and i do not understand why the order never came near my house or even if they had claimed to have arrived why wasn't the door bell never called out.
To my surprise, this was called a penalty and i had to incur full loss of my payment and the food.
My lunch was also cancelled as it was too late to order another one.
I have never had such worst experience in any of the food delivery services and i duly need a detailed response on my query and pay my loss.
I had spoke with the zomato chat assistants twice and not even once was the user apologetic rather he was sarcastic enough to educate me on how to answer my calls.
I do not think this is how a service needs to be provided nor have i ever experienced anything this tragic in my experience.!
Zomato customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
