I had placed an order on Zomato from Empire Hotel on 8th Jan at 01:51 am #[protected] and it was canceled and returned because I did not respond to the calls. I think it was very unfair as the delivery executive called me at 2:26 AM and then the company called me at 2:39 AM but I called the delivery guy back at 2:44, it’s not even 10 minutes! By the time I had called him, he had already returned the order and said that he had to cancel it because he had called me a bunch of times, however, this is not true, he called only ONCE. Isn’t that a bit too hasty for a decision? I had clearly mentioned my apartment building name and number as well as the landmark but he didn’t even ring the bell. He simply reached downstairs and when I didn’t pick up his one call, he called the company and they canceled the order. I didn’t even get my money back due to the cancellation charges. How is any of this fair? If I didn’t respond within 15 minutes then it would be understandable but I responded within 8 minutes and yet I didn’t get my order. If I hadn’t answered the door then it would have been logical to cancel the order but without even entering the building he canceled it. Is this some sort of a joke? I was very very angry about this unfair treatment by Zomato. WHO DOES THAT? ONE CALL AND THAT'S IT? As you can see, I tried calling back at 2:43 but he had already returned the order till then.

Updated by Sugandha Verma They refused to refund the money as it's some part of their policy, I want my money back along with a sincere apology.
