unexpected delay in delivering the food.

I am a student. I had ordered from fasos through zomato. I waited food to get delivered till reasonable time. However, it was not delivered at time. And zomato also did not respond responsibly. I stay at hostel and can't get out after 10 and now i am sitting hungry writing this complaining. They are not even returning my money back. I ordered food worth rupees 601 rupees from apni rasoi. Being a zomato treats member I didn't get the complimentary dessert as promised. Called the restaurant and they said they haven't received any such order, called the delivery person, he denied as well. Tried contacting zomato as well, but there customer care number doesn't work and zomato chat always show loading even when I'm on a good WiFi connection.

    Hello,
    I applied a friends promo code for the Zomato gold membership and I guess when I went to pay with Paytm it took me to a link account page and removed the promo code. I contacted zomato less than 5 minutes after payment and they are neither willing to apply it or cancel the membership so I can redo this.

    The code was applied and accepted, it was the app that reset it during payment.
    It is not a matter of the money or the extra time it is about customer service not being helpful or a company not able to offer a solution to a simple problem and concern immediately raised.

    The promo code is RITW3698 and without this person reaching out I would not have even bothered to subscribe.

    Please help me correct this small matter. I will be following up and escalating the matter where possible to ensure that this glitch in the app or rigid non-refund no change policy is not just a way to cheat customers out of a promotion you offered. Even big ticket items like flights and hotels work with you on accidental bookings or issues if approached immediately.

    This seems deliberately unhelpful.

    The matter was escalated in zomato and they responded within the same day and applied the promotion as well as called me to discuss the App glitch. Great attention to detail and service. Much better than chat team.

      I ordered two pizza through (Zomato app) from pizza park (A square, sector 73, near sector 72, noida. I ordered pizza around 12:57 pm the delivery time was around 1:57 pm. I got the pizza around 3:00 pm. Zomato executive where very rude to me. And your location system is worst ever, and the restaurant people didn't even care about it. And the food was not hot and the pizza was soggy.

      I placed an order at Enoki on 27th January 2018, at around 10:00. My order was for 876 rupees. I paid using a debit card. My money got deducted but the order was not placed. I demand a refund immediately. You will find email confirmation attached below.

        I had a harrowing experience with zomato recently. I ordered food from 5 spice restaurant in kandivali east through the zomato app. Unfortunately, i paid the money through credit card assuming everything to be alright. After placing the order, i was notified that the food would arrive in an hour's time. However, after an hour when i checked with zomato, they mentioned that the order would take half n hour more to deliver. Therefore, i asked them to cancel the order; my guests and kids were too hungry to wait for any more time now. So we decided to cook some instant food available. Of nowhere, the delivery boy knocked my door and handed over the food. I had no choice but to accept the order; didn't wish to make a fuss in front of my guests. I raised a complaint with zomato for a refund and unbelievably they denied it. I am taking this issue to consumer court and would raise awareness on social media as well.

          I ordered food from vasudev adiga through zomato yesterday morning. I payed 267 rs by card. It was a prepaid order but my food was never delivered.             I bought a one plus 5t in december with a one year free subscription for zomato gold and had my location as hyderabad. Zomato gold wasn't available back then. When it did become available i was asked to pay for it. If you ask zomato they give you bull # replies saying location was ncr blah blah all that rubbish stuff and think about themselves as cool professionals. They think that customers are fools and they can play around with them.

              We have ordered food from the restaurant 'tandoor nawabi', last night. The food was not only ill tasted, but decomposed, rotten. We started feeling sick, soon after we swallowed the food. It was followed by a prolonged stomach disorder, all over the night.
              We want you to be aware of these sub standerd food joints, who are taking the oppertunity of connecting a large sec of people through you. If you do not cancell their snlistment in your esteemed site... I am afraid, you may face legal & social hastles. So please do the needful.
              We recently placed orders for 2 burgers (beef & pork) from Plan B solely relying on their ratings on your site, but once we consumed the food we had to endure diarrhea for 2 days. Please ensure to issue them a warning over the quality of the food that they serve to customers. It is truly poor ethics to subject us to sub standard food which results in stomach ailments, considering the fact that we are paying quite a substantial amount to procure these orders. Kindly do the needful of issuing this restaurant a warning so that this incodent does not repeat henceforth. We thank you in advance for your cooperation in the afore mentioned matter.

                On 1st jan i placed an order through zomato for lunch... After an hour i get a message no delivery agents available hence cancelling your order... I tried again in the night same thing waited for an hour and then they cancel... Disappointing service..!.. If they dont have delivery agents they should have informed the very first instance itself... You make people wait untill lunch time or dinner time is over to release u are not equipped to handle the order... What is worse is their executives who are supposed to help us are not even apologetic... Banu and ashish... Ashish went as far to lie... Both these agents were least bothered... Horrible service... Zomato should close down their business or hire representatives who understand customer service... They have also refused to grant a refund for food i havent received
                I ordered food via zomato website..its been 2 days i didnot get the food or money..pls help no one is helping and you guys are even not reachinh out.

                  I had ordered the food from zomato on 29th december and after a good wait for an hour (Which is way long from the claimed time) i realized that on the app it shows "delivered" under my order. My obvious reaction was shocking since i did not receive any food and called the zomato customer care, though he was reluctant and was hardly bothered all he did was told me that he will be back (Or rather the company) with the proof that they had tried to reach me and that is why the food was not delivered.
                  Two points here :
                  1. I never received any call from the delivery boy to which i had asked the zomato people to send out a proof of call list where they had tried to reach me for 20 mins (Thats what was claimed by the customer care guy)
                  2. Giving the benefit of doubt i assume that the guy could not reach me then on what circumstance will he mark the delivery as "delivered".
                  Well even if i ignore the entire episode the bare minimum justice i could get is get my damn money back which i had already paid but its the third day from the incidence happened and they do not give your money back. Great!
                  In any case they have acted in the most unprofessional manner and yes off course i am not the only victim to this nasty game the so called popular food app is playing around. With this not only me but on this continuous act many out there will uninstall the app right away just like me. So stop cheating people this way!!

                    I have faced 2 times for the same issue that zomato not following the order times! Last time i have made an order but they don’t deliver on time and informs the rest and zomato that it’s too late if they don’t deliver they ve to cxl it but an hour later i received the order when i was goin to bed so i did not accept it of course but zomato refused to pay the amount back! That’s so unprofessional! Enervating ever use this app again!
                    The worst service I had ever seen..plz don't trust this app they will make you die with hunger. To know my bitter experience you can call me on [protected].

                      Zomato. Failed a million times and yet stays a favorite for many!!

                      I haven’t received my refund for 450 bucks for an order placed on 26th october. I was being casual all this long and just checked in between and forgot all about it.

                      Beginning of month when i checked my statement, i realised the refund still isn’t there. I asked zomato who told me i need to check with bank. I never bothered thinking it would reflect.

                      Today i call the bank for some work and a delivery from a restaurant with a zomato tape made me ask the bank about the refund. They had no information. They asked for a mail to be sent at the disputes id with a screenshot from zomato mentioning the initiation of the refund.

                      Now comes the horror. I ask zomato to mail me regarding the refund and i am told, they can’t. Instead, i need to mail them my bank statement from 1st october onwards so that they’re sure that i haven’t been refunded in real and they hey could manually do it. I asked for an email address to escalate the hilarious demand of theirs and instead i am repeatedly given the email id to mail the statement at.

                      Really? Is this even real? Pinch me please!!!

                      Ps, this isn’t the first time they’ve asked for an evidence!

                        I have ordered food online from Zomato and my money got deducted. After sometime, I realised that it is more than 45 minutes and my order did not get delivered.When I went back and checked, my order got rejected.When I reached their chat they don't have any resolution. No food and my money is deducted.

                        These people are not resolving my problem and there is no message that my order got rejected and there is no message about my refund.

                        Indeed they are simply saying to order from another restaurant and asking them to understand.I have been waiting for 2 hours and there is no sympathy from them.

                          I ordered food from Zomato, Chowpatty restaurant.

                          The food arrived one and a half hour late, was completely cold and soggy and overall inedible.

                          Their support staff was very unhelpful and unapologetic. They kept saying that I should talk to the restaurant to resolve the issue and they would call me.

                          The restaurant neither called me nor picked up when contacted.

                          Zomato refused a refund for the order and insisted upon adding 25% credits which are completely unusable for me since I have no intention of ever ordering from them again.
                          Had ordered a sub from subway through zomato, the sub was too spicy, i immediately contacted zomato and informed them.They took me on conference call with the outlet where the manager clearly said u have placed ordered through zomato so ask them to resolve your issue we have no say in this.But zomato failed to resolve they just said sorry.

                            On contacting the chat support team upon non receipt of my food, the support associate simply wrote that the same will be delivered in 10 — 15 mins without a slightest hint of apology for the delay. When i stated the same to the associate, that person sent a sad emoji as if he/she was making an informal chat. Such unprofessionalism was not expected from zomato.
                            As i write this conplaint, i still havent received my order!

                              I ordered some food from the app.. I used paytm as a payment method but the restaurant cancelled my order.. And the amount was refunded in the zomato wallet instead of paytm..
                              Also i asked the customer care.. They told they will refund in paytm wallet in 24-48 hrs
                              And today when i contacted them.. The customer support is refusing to initiate a refund in my paytm wallet..
                              Plzz help me to refund my money and take strict action against zomato app..

                                Used zomato 1 year back. Due to pathetic support i have uninstalled the app.
                                Again installed it 2/3 months back and subscribed zomato gold, reached level 8.

                                But every time i raise a complain i receive pathetic support from zomato team.

                                I want a proper investigation of the chatting history with your support team.

                                Just few min back i received my order without zomato treat. When i informed support they kept me waiting for stating i am contacting the restaurant. After around 25 min support informed me that restaurant said they have delivered the item. I have shown the proof but support kept telling me that restaurant delivered. And told me to contact support if i want anything else!!
                                What kind of gesture is this!!!

                                Later i called the restaurant and they informed delivery guy mistakenly delivered the item to someone else.

                                Support was not responding to my queries.
                                For last 2 days i have experienced 3 bad incidents. Every time support let me down with their communication skills and poor manners.

                                  I have sent some 20mails and 100tomes chatting but again zomato people are asking me to check with my bank for money but I have escalated in bank and they have clearly mentioned in mail that merchant ie, zomato agreed that they received amount. Even on Nov 24 zomato people told in chat that I will receive my money to bank in 5-7working days. I checked with them again on Dec 3 and they asked me to wait 2days. Now again they are asking me to check with my bank. I need this company to get close to cheat people

                                    This feedback is regarding order no. [protected] from burg beez name restaurant i placed the order @ 1.16 am and the order should be delivered before 2.16 am but i kept trying chatting to the executives o[censored]r management they kept sayong 10 min. 5 min. At 3.10 am a delivery person came to my door and said "u ordered from top floor i am tired of coming to u this is the person of this area" being listening to him i was trying to reach zomato...

                                    Hi,

                                    I have recently purchased a mobile (One plus 5t) from oneplusstore.in on 24/11/2017

                                    An offer was going on as per which zomato is offering gold membership subscription for 12 months to every buyer of one plus 5t.

                                    Today on 27/12/2017 my phone was delivered to me by one plus team. I went through the steps mentioned in the offer details to register my complimentary zomato gold membership subscription and was unable to find any such tab in zomato app.

                                    In chat support section initially zomato team communicated that zomato gold membership is available only for one plus 5t users. Younger brother (Anuj agarwal)

                                    Now when i took the chat support from my one plus 5t mobile i was kept on hold for about half an hour post that they communicated that it was a lucky draw offer in which one who order maximum number of one plus 5t on friday will get the subscription.                                     In the offer details lucky draw is nowhere mentioned at all. Pdf attached

                                    Zomato is misleading customers of oneplus to download it's app.

                                    Such misleading offer alongwith such premium phone is a matter of big shame for both zomato and one plus

                                    I hope oneplus will take action against this
