I have placed two orders on Zomato app one with Pizza house bakery (prepaid the bill) and the other one from Bahar Biryani cafe (cash on delivery – Order Number: [protected]) on 26/12/2022- Hyderabad, Telangana.I had a very unpleasant experience with the zomato delivery agent for the order number [protected](pizza house) which was just 23 minutes away from my location. This area has two routes, when I placed the order, the app has taken captured the current location and unfortunately the route which was closed due to road repair work and I came to know about it only after getting the call from the delivery agent.
Delivery agent called and started shouting on me rudely that I have not shared the correct address and disconnected the call without listening to my words. When I tried calling for the first 5 minutes, he did not pick the call. Later, he picked the call and again started shouting on me and I was trying to guide him to the main gate to which he is not ready to listen to me at all and he told me in a loud and rude voice that “you don't call me and I cannot deliver the food to your address and even i[censored] call I will not pick your call and will cancel the order. For this order, I had made the payment already of Rs.402.55. When I requested him that, we have guest at home and they are waiting for the food then he rudely demanded Rs.100 and said otherwise he will not deliver the food. After all this drama he gave his mobile number and asked to share the current location and to my surprise he was there at my doorstep within a minute. When I question him how he reached now so soon, he started arguing with me in a very loud voice. I can scold him and avoid giving him the Rs.100 but I did not do that and gave him Rs.100. After taking money, he still keep on saying that “what mad people are there they don't have brain” to which I raised my voice to question him. Then again, he said I am getting late for the other deliveries and I don't want to waste my time here.
This was really unpleasant experience for me with the zomato delivery agent. I did not feel bad when he demanded Rs.100 but his rude and unprofessional behaviour made me so.
I am hereby providing his the contact number that he shared to me for current location (Delivery agent Number: [protected]. I request the Zomato to take restrict action against these kind of delivery agents and Zomato should give proper soft skills training to its agents.
I hereby requesting for the refund of Rs.100 and also an apology from the delivery partner for the mental trauma caused to me because of his unprofessional and uncultured behaviour.
The other delivery agent did not find any difficulty in finding the main gate and the money was given was not voluntary it was by force taken from me.
I have voluntarily given Rs.50 to the other delivery agent for this polite and calm nature.
Zomato customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
