Hi,
I booked suzuki swift but as it was unavailable, i was given mahindra kuv 100. While picking up the car from parking site, i inspected and submitted the inspection form on mobile. Surprisingly, i could not find any zoom car staff member. The condition of the car was not kept good. There was a dent on the rear left door and minor scratches almost 50 % of the surface. Also, from inside the condition was no better. The seats were torn out and the rear seat was displaced from its actual position. Music system was crap. Left side speakers were not working. Handbrake of the car was loose. Many a times while driving the light used to flash up in the display panel. If the attendent would have been there i could have made him aware of my concerns related to the car.
The parking site was half dig and hence the parking of cars were not proper. I took few pics and videos of the car and drove off. When i came back to surrender the vehicle, the zoom car staff told me that the dent has happened by me and need to pay for that.
I was imposed a fine of 5000 inr as damage fee. Their investigation almost took a month during which they asked me to pass the pics as evidence. Which i did but still for no reason they came back saying i need to pay the outstanding amount. Till now, i have received two legal notices. Surprisingly, i got those when the investigation was going on. Which should not happen in ideal circumstances. Issuance of notices should happen only after the outcome of investigation.
I declined to pay any fines as the damage has not happened by me. I have got the pics as evidence if this goes into a legal route.
There are a lot of areas wherein the company should improve rather than troubling customers like car maintenance, customer care, mobile app etc. Suggestion to zoom car is in mobile app form it should be compulsory to submit pics/videos to avoid any dispute like this to happen.
I am very disappointed with the way this case is handled by zoom car. Anyways, this was my first and last experience with the company. Its not the company i will recommend others to go for.
