On the 16th of September, I logged a complaint because the internet in my house was not working and I was assured that the problem would be resolved in 24 hours. Since the problem was not resolved in the assured time span, I called up the customer service the next day and I was told that the junction box had failed and I was asked if they could place it at my house and I was told that they would arrange for a call back by the external team and that they would come and place the junction box in my house and hence I took a half day off yesterday so that I could monitor the work. The sad part is nobody even called or came home yesterday. I called the customer care again this morning and I was so convincingly assuredo that the external team would definitely come today because of which I took a full day leave today waiting for somebody to come and resolve the matter. It is 6pm now, nobody has called me yet.
This is really very disappointing. I have a job, I can’t keep applying leaves.
When you promise something, you have to commit to it without troubling the customer to this level.
How much longer am I supposed to wait?

    Act broadband has installed a broadband junction box at my home and has not paid for the electricity charges that they agreed to pay.

    I contacted their chennai customer service to ask for the pending electricity dues, but no action was initiated. The issue was escalated to the chennai nodal team and they are also not acting on the complaint.

    Both, act customer care and their nodal team are not replying properly to questions specifically asked related to the issue. They only want to drag the issue without giving a resolution. Even after 3 weeks after raising the complaint, the status of the issue remains the same.

    Their actions seems deliberate to avoid paying the electricity charges to the customer.

    It seems act wants free electricity to their equipment (S) from customer.

    Has anyone experienced similar situation with act. Do they do proper paper work for installing their equipment at customer premises.

      I am subscriber to this internet service provider for the past three months.. I paid roughly 3700 odd ruppes for 3 months promo plan.. Or something..
      I regret the decision till this day i made to go with act.. Its the most unreliable isp i have ever come across.. And the so called 'technicians' working for this company are the worst of the lot..
      They are the first ever 'technician' in the world to say that configuring internet via router ie configuring wifi network name and password can cause wifi disruption.. And asked me to only configure via act fibernet selfcare portal which is the most unsecure way in my opinion.. And i find myself asking the 'technician' how about those who bought their own router.. He bumbled like a stupid fellow
      I have been facing wifi disruptions since the day one i signed up for this service.. With 30 odd tickets raised for the issue.. Still no end in sight... If ppl from act are looking at this complain please help me or i will have to leave your service and do a bit of bad publicity to your service in social media.. I do not have fb but i will create an fb login if i have to.. Just for you guys ;)

        I have shifted my house from hyderabad (Chandanagar) — hyderabad (Kphb)

        So i have raised a shifting request on 13th sep 2019.

        Till today act people have not responded, they didn't even called me for my request. Up to now i have called act customer care nearly 10-15 times but the agent keep on saying the same will take your request and our agent will call u by the end of day and will help you kind of words daily i am hearing the same. But the # fact is none of the agent called me up to now.

        I have raised the ticket regarding this...

        Below is the one ticket for re-allocation request,

        So please take a serious action on this complaint and make act person to visit my address to give my connection.

        I want my connection to be shifted from CHANDANAGAR TO KPHB but I don't know why the chandanagar act people are calling me but not KPHB People . I am keep on saying that the connection need to be shifted from chandanagar to kphb. The new address is LIG 914, ROAD NO 5, DHARMA REDDY COLONY, KPHB, 500072, HYDERABAD.

        Wait Jio Fibernet is coming in to the market then only you people will listen to the customers complaints...

          Dear act fiber, i didn't receive any response from your team,
          Im from kanaka durga colony, karwan, hyderabad.
          On the day of ganesh visarjan 12/09/19, due to the lorry electric pole got damaged, electricity people responded within an hour, arranged a new pol in 3hours. Lodged a complaint, still your team is not working on it. Till date your act fibre didn't turn around.

            I requested act to downgrade my 6 months plan to monthly plan when the recent 6 months plan completed. Since 1 week, i am tired of talking to them, but no action is being taken. My account is suspended and not receiving internet for the past 3 days. Each cust. Representative gives different answers, our back end team would downgrade, it can not be downgraded in between month and so you have to pay 6 months fees now, we will call you back in 4 hours etc. I never expected act would trouble customers like this.

              I had raised a broadband relocation request before 15 days. The new location is very nearby my older location. It pasts around more than 15 days, and they have never processed my request yet. I have called their customer care service more than 10 times and every time i was told that we will follow up you issue, but nothing happened yet. I have not received a single call from them regarding the status of my request.

              I really got fed up from their service and customer negligence. Finally thinking of switching to another service provider.

              While raising the relocation request, i was told that this will be done within 7 days.
              It now more than 18 days. No response and action taken from your side.
              Every time your customer executive told that your issue will be resolved within 24 hrs.

                Hi All,

                I had multiple calls with the customer care team, every time they give a different response. Now the account is disconnected, they are giving any confirmation on the Refund. Now they are saying, they will not refund any money. It will be more than 7K, it seems to be a lack of awareness in customer care. Please take care of this ASAP.

                Could someone guide me on how to lodge the legal compliant, It is purely cheating if they refuse to refund the amount.

                Any guidance on this greatly appreciated.

                  I’ve disconnected act internet connection on 31aug2019 since i’ve moved to another location. They said they’ll remove the box within 7 days but it’s been 15 days it’s not been removed. I’ve raised my concern via email and phone but no luck. My house owner is pushing me to remove the box as the next tenant awaits. I request the consumers not to allow the junction box inside the house if you’re a tenant.

                      Hi,

                      Clearly there should be action taken against act fibernet. This is my 5th month in the new location at benson town and this is my 6th disconnection. I've subscribed for a 6 months payment and now i have to try and chase people to support. If you can't provide service then you should shut shop. Why do you provide a customer support number which one can never reach. One has to wait on for 12 mins before the call gets disconnected. This is not a one time affair, this is frustrating.

                      You have taken the money to provide internet connection and you should have the minimum courtesy to inform your customer in the event of a failure. You lack professionalism.

                      Looks like legal action is the only language act would seem to understand.

                          This is nisha. I have an act connection in my name which i requested for transfer to my new loaction (Mana tropicale, sarjapur road, bangalore). I raised a request 1 month before and your customer care representatives with out even checking the feasibility told me to cancel that request and raise it only 5 days before we shift. Reason she mentioned is act already have a connection in the new place so 5 days is enough for the new connection.

                          Now when i requested for transfer 5 days before again they are saying our tower doesn't have access so it will take again 1 more month. I am not getting the logic behind this. Why they didn't check this when i requested 1 month back. Why they told me to cancel and raise it 5 days before. And its almost been 15 days since i requested second time

                          And now even after 1.5 months still act people are just closing what ll requests i raise and behave so rude. Even asking me not to raise any more requests.

                          This is not what we expect from such a good isp.

                          Since we don't have any other options, please consider this and process the request asap.

                          This is not our fault. We raised the request 1 month before only. Just because of your customer care representatives, please don't make the customers suffer.

                            I would like to express my disappointment from your unsatisfactory level of service. I have expected much more from a prestigious and reputed company of your standard. Unfortunately, i can't help but submit this letter of complaint hoping for fast and adequate resolution.

                            I have registered under the account id:[protected] by paying 3700/- to act fiber executive mr. Venkat on 5th august 2019 promising to get installation on 7th august 2019, as they failed to install, i raised a complaint to get installation as possible got a assurance to be done by 48 hours but failed the same way, again raised the complaint and received a call from technician saying installation will be done by 12th august without fail but till date people are not responding to call or any update for installation from mr. Venkat, mr. Madhu, mr suresh.

                            I have waited for more than a month and kept patience, but due to your poor services and not responding to calls or update, requesting to refund my money at earliest.

                            I have shared the refund details to refunds. [protected]@actcorp.in, nodalofficer. [protected]@actcorp.in & [protected]@actcorp.in. To be wondered no any calls from the team. After continuation of complaints finally gets a call and saidd that money will be transferred by 10-11th of sep but still no any update from this worst company.

                            People over there just fooling us and am the one who fooled in their trap. Worst ever service company i have interacted with.

                                I had requested for disconnection of act broadband service since their service is pathetic, form past one month, and the internet service was disconnected due to unknown reasons, so i requested for a permanent disconnection, but not getting proper response or guidance for disconnection formalities, rather the customer care executive is asking me to do the payment. Day by day the bill amount is increasing, for the service which i'm not using any more. Kindly help me out and solve the issue at the earliest.

                                  I was trying to reach them since 2months through customer care but never it gets connected. They said they will send their representative to disconnect but they have not turned up. They ask me to pay bill for 2months but they don't suspend the account. There is no internet connectivity too but still they are billing us. Please resolve it we have been waiting for suspension since 2 months.

                                    I am staying at marathahalli, bangalore, my login id 11030666, am sorry to say offlate your service has been detiorating, in a week of 7 days 5 day my complaint will be raised and your call centers are loaded with calls having queue of 50 calls in pipeline, with great difficulty after waiting for 24 min, i got to speak with your csr but when i asked for escalation no, she dropped the line.

                                    I think subscriber like us are all waiting for jio to come in and what they have done for telecom sector should happen in isp sector as well.

                                      This with reference to ticket # sr[protected] associated to account number[protected] and mobile number [protected]. My internet has been down since yesterday due a faulty router power adaptor!

                                      One of act's field technician called kumar visited yesterday, he claimed that the adaptor wasn't functional due to water damage; i had explained to him that there's no source of water around it so it's got to be something else. He won't acknowledge that and insisted that i pay for the new adaptor. I request him that to put me in touch with his supervisor or manager, for which he wouldn't call them or give me their phone number. Later he just walked out asking me to call the customer care. He wouldn't provide his full name or employee number; this is totally not acceptable behaviour by your staf[censored]

                                      Furthermore, i had reached out tp link service centre and they informed me that the liquid leaking from the adaptor was result of the damged capacitor and this is a common occurrence.

                                      I had called nodal officer today, a guy called kishan answered (Sajala won't come to the phone) he couldn't understand the sense o[censored]rgency and said it would take him 72 hours to resolve it. Are you kidding me??? In today's day and age this is just ridiculous.

                                        Yet another service request. Nothing had changed and i continue to loose internet connection. Raising complaint on this forum did not help last time. The old ticket was closed starting the rj 45 jack was faulty when i had recieved message when raising ticket that the link was down.
