I have taken an ACT connection plan of 50 Mbps 60 GB plan and during the same i was assured regarding the speed stating that they were Fibre net. This is second time in a week wherein speed of the net has gone to 0.23 Mbps and even after repeated calls to customer care this issue persists.
In addition as per the service provider they have upgraded their system after which the speed is very slow and to reach out to their customer service it is very difficult since the call never gets connected since it is always busy and there is no alternative number to reach out.
Please note that this is not a free service that is being provided we need to pay the monthly rental on a pro-dated basis before using the service and this is the service quality.
Complaint number in regard to this issue is [protected] and i had received a message from ACT stating that within 48 hours the issue would be sorted out. 48 hours is a long time since we do not use the internet for entertainment purpose. Will ACT take all the loss and time lost i have incurred due to this issue. They would not provide me a service if i am 48 hours delay in paying the bill.

    I am facing internet connectivity issue from past 15- 20 days and internet connection is getting cut multiple times throughout the day. I have re-opened the ticket multiple times, called customer care, mailed act team and even called technical team but no permanent fix is done till now even after raising this issue multiple times.

    ACT is fooling customer by sending false message without rectifying the issue completely. It is really time consuming and frustrating to see this type of repeated connectivity issues and hearing the same things from them. They are wasting customer time and money by providing false messages. Whenever I call customer care they are repeatedly saying lies like fiber cut, box issue and so on. After raising the issue several times technician provided their mobile number to contact again in case this issue occur again, but they are not picking up the phones now. It seems like ACT does not care about their customers and it is utter unethical and unprofessional behaviour in their part. I have spent my money and time in following up with them and it seems they do not bother about it. I am raising this issue to this forum in the hope to see quick and genuine reply and fix from ACT.

    I have not received any permanent fix on my issue and they keep on sending false messages that internet is fixed without resolving it completely. I must agree with all other ACT customers view that they are "BIG LIARS".

      These guys have the worst customer support. I recently relocated to a new place and ACT is not feasible in my current location. So to get back the prepaid amount I paid. They have been pushing me around with messages and email just saying we will get back to you soon and have escalated the concern since long time now. I still haven't received my money so people be careful before you opt to use ACT. GIVE BACK MY MONEY ACT. I have tried every medium and no one is acting on this request to get back my own money.

        I did not even use anything very much.. Not even a film got downloaded. Even for basic usage and simple searches they detected 5 gb on a single day. Such a ridiculous thing. I called them and nothing got resolved. I wanted it to get clear or il cancel the connection. I thought i was the only one who s dealing wth the pblm until i see this page. I wanted to get this cleared to the earliest if not will deal this problem in some social forums...

          Hi ACT team,
          Last month i was informed i had used 100% of my 60 GB quota on the 26th of February - for the previous 5 months, I had never crossed 40 GB. I was offered the Flexibytes option which I rejected. Now on the 1st of March, on still seeing my speed was 512 Kbps and FUP reset had not taken place, I called up Customer Care and asked them to do a FUP reset which they confirmed - this was at 4 PM on 1st March - now about 24 hours later my usage shows 10.5 GB in 24 hours - I am pretty sure I have not used above 2 GB.

          ACT is the most fraudulent company in the Broadband/Cable domain - TRAI please make note.
          I have not had 6 days of internet in October, 3 days in November, 2 days in December, 2 days (separate days) in January, again 1 day in February but I have only received INR 120 as refund even i though i was promised 35 per day of non-availability.

          Since i see many other ACT customers also complaining about such fraudent usage statistics against their account post FUP reset, I almost feel like starting a change.org petition to shut down this useless company.

          ACT - this time it is do or die - I have suffered every 5 months since I joined you with connection disruption almost 2 days every month and now this - this is the last straw - get your act together - else the appellate, consumer forum, everything legal in my capacity, i will throw at you!

          Seriously ACT is acting too smart now, they are actually forcing us to purchase flexibyte stuff, never ever till date i crossed data usage, but since flexybyte scheme has started .
          when i complaint abt usage, they say it is clearly mentioned in usage stats, but they fail to show ip address den stuff, they say change wifi password nd stuff, open fraud they r running in name of broadband .
          i am using act from around 5 years faced multiple problem . but this latest one is just too much irritating .

          I have brought act fibernet broadbrand and 15 days had completed and it is showing 400 gb is completed its just tooooo much im very angry i would file case against his its becoming more n more serious issue i have payed 6000 rs and i only get 15 days data

            I installed ACT FIBERNET connection on 5th Dec 2017 every time I have made not working or slow speed after some time in chennai VARDHA CYCLONE again there is no connection ok that was genuine reason for the month of December we paid 850/- INR again in January month the same issues not working or slow speed every time we are making complaint. We receive bill for 1299/- approximate for the month of January. I called to customer care regarding the bill issue.till yet no response . Why I want to pay if the connection is not working. I suffered so much problem from ACT FIBERNET connection . It should take action on this type of companies if they don't have the proper way how give customer service and product. I need my refund amount which I have paid initial.

            My Sincere advice to all please don't installs ACT FIBER NET connection they are fraud initially they needed money after no response form company sides. After I complained in consumer ACT person camed to my residence and they shown the speed for 70mbps and they collected 422.00 as billed adjusted.after next the same issue I went to the ACT office to complaint they replied due some junctions box issues will solve as soon as after from yesterday the same issue. The miracle is its shows 75GB has consumed with in 6days and the connection is not working. Please don't take this connection. They are doing day ROBBERYS...

            You have exceeded your monthly data limit.But you don’t have to worry – just reset

            your data and start surfing at Incredible speeds again.Log in to the ACT Fibernet portal or open the

            ACT Fibernet app, select the ‘Reset data’ option, pay for the extra data, and get back to surfing at an ... Kindly check my previous emailed for consumed 75 GB with in 6days and after 6days its consumed another 75GB data . And I recieved SMS for monthly invoice on this month April . INR 1957.00 . Till yet I don't get any response from consumer you have complete details .

            I'm very disappointed with your ACT brand every time you have new reasons. Initial I paid advanced one month payment and other thing is I reactivated on 15th March that time your executive has collected 422.00 INR . Form 15th to 31st March you consumed 140 GB data from my monthly plan instantly I personally visit your office to complaint the broadband connection is not working. So kindly advise me how could possible to consumed 140 GB data with in 12 days. And check your email as account details you send me. For this reason only I called your customer care to disconnect my connection. I don't now how many customers are suffering like me.

              I have been experiencing partial internet outage on december 2016 and full outage for january and february 2017.

              I was billed for both january and february 2017 and since been struggling with act customer care and appellate authority for restoration of my services and waiver of my bill.

              Many mails have been exchanged but still there is no solution. Their local customer care number was always busy and they won't reply to any mails.

              Appellate authority has promised a waiver within 15 days but what in the world they require 15 days for? I have been waiting for 10 days but still there is not even one sign of any work related to waiver of my bill and restoration of my services. I wasted enough of my time with these # and i don't want to wait anymore.

              They just generate a ticket after ticket and post that its full of silence. Act is getting on my nerves and i am thoroughly frustrated with their negligent attitude.

              I have reset my FUP and i have got 3 gb which is over in 30 mins luckily i have recorded whatever i have used in an app so that i can pass it through the media now get ready for some fun act.I will not go through law because i know you do scams and can bribe anyone..

                Post Vardah restoration of service, the ACT connectivity we have has been coming down frequently. Works for 1 week, down for 1 week. We faced a similar issue last month when it was down for almost 3 weeks. Have raised a complaint in the forum last time. But this issue keeps occurring.
                My Account ID is[protected]. Always receive fake promises on customer calls. Real tired with the behavior of ACT. Would not be recommending this to anyone.

                  Pathetic Service
                  We recommend NOT to opt for ACT fibernet if you have a choice. Its Pathetic Service. We have lost productivity recurrently due to no internet. In addition they promise to "fix" the issue within 12 hours only to find out nothing has been done. I called up the technician by name Bharath responsible for this and he made us wait for over 2 hours yesterday and did not turn up. He said he would get around to it in the late evening. Today we come to find nothing done, on calling he said he is "still at home" and will look into it later.

                  Last month we lost productivity for 1 week due to the bad service. After that for another few days. Now again there is no internet. The recurrent issue is "fiber cut".

                  As compared to this we have Airtel connection in an adjacent office and do not face such issues. We are thinking of shifting completely to some other Service

                  We recommend NO one to OPT for this pathetic service unless you dont have critical issues and can wait without internet repeatedly,

                    Hi,

                    I am Rudra Prakash, ACT Fibernet Account[protected], user id : 11940622

                    I made frequent talks to the ACT customer service (in Dec'16) for my previous cycle (Apr'16 to Dec'16) and requested to disconnect the connection once the subscription is completed (6 months + 1 month free).

                    Without any intimation, they have turned the 6 months plan to 1 month plan and sent a mail/message to pay the one month due for Jan'17.

                    I again called ACT customer service, ACT representatives promised to pay 6 months subscription fee and the bill generated for Jan'17 will be forfeited from the subscription (Rs 5994 payed for 6 months + 1 month free on 23rd Jan'17). Please see the attached proof of the bill payment.

                    Now, from the past one week, ACT sent continuous messages that the service will be disconnected and today it is disconnected.

                    I called the customer service and today the connection again reestablished at 8pm, 21/02/2017.

                    My question are ...

                    1. Why ACT not having a common communication within the representatives.
                    2. Dont they have any discipline to follow the request raised by the customer. (I asked to stop the connection after my initial subscription is completed, but they didnt, changed from 6 months to 1 month subscription without any intimation).
                    3. Why ACT asking me to pay the bill of Feb'17 as I am already in new subscription plan (6 months + 1 month free).
                    4. Customer representative doesn't know what are all the plans showing in the app.
                    5. Why cannot ACT maintain a toll free number, where their representatives are always busy and wasting our hard earning money to reach every time to ACT. Holding the call for many minutes.
                    6. ACT will pay the money for today's disconnection fee (21/02/2017)???

                    In Chennai, we had the cyclone on Dec, 16 and a rebate of Rs 200+ was provided to me on the top-up of my 6months subcription. In that case, obviously my tenure should increase ... But it is not happened. As per attached message (ACT_message1), i received a message from ACT to pay a bill of 811/- on 18/01. After talking to the customer service of ACT, I paid a subscription of Rs.5994/- (6 months + 1 month free) on 23/01 and received a message for the payment.

                    Agian on 24/01, as per the attached message (ACT_message2), they messaged to pay 1091/- as last invoice amount and also showed a due amount is Rs. -5183 (means they reduced 811 from 5994) ... So it tells that they deducted the earlier 811 from it.

                    Again on 16/02, I received a message (ACT_message3), saying I need to pay Rs.1378/- immediately, otherwise my they will disconnect the service. It is also mentioned, ignore if already paid. ... as normally we receive fake messages, I ignored the same ... I didnt received any call from the customer service too to intimate on it ...

                    On 21/02, received a message as "Your service is deactivated due to IV-Payment over due. Your last invoice amount is Rs 6893/- and due amount is Rs 1378". ...

                    I didnt understand, where ACT knows all the magics of numbers ... how come my due increased to 6893 and also due amount to 1378 ...

                    I strongly recommenced, these business people sucks all the blood of customers ... where these type of companies should be sacked as in Western countries ... As we are poor Indians, we need to near these kind of business making people ...

                    Lets take an example of advertising in APP -- Airtel gives a offer of 200 talk time for 200 rupees in APP... This includes the service tax and other taxes ... They dont advertise as T&C or some * ...

                    In the same I can see in your app, you never advertised T&C or * ... and you want me to pay extra money ...
                    you want to loot money from the trusted consumers ???
                    Do this is the way you are doing business until now and will be in future??

                    Kindly, resolve the case, I am not willing to pay a rupee for all your problem in APP and Website... I paid as you were advertised ... Now you should provide me the uninterrupted connection until July end (6+1) months

                      My name is jayaseelan i am a resident of west tambaram, chennai. I subscribed to a new act connection on thursday16th feb 2017 (New account connection id:[protected].
                      The connection was working 2 days only (Thursday and friday) after that connection not working. I informed customer care many times whenever call them they simply told "please unplug the cable and put it again" over 30 times per day i tried but not connected. 4 days gone till no one response the connection problem. Very very very worst service act. Please, no one buy act. Plan to deactivate the connection.

                      Today morning received a call at 10:30 am from ACT Chennai customer care people after they deactivated request is accepted. She told me "Sir please give me last chance we rectify your problem within 2 to 3 hours, we are arranged physical technician he will come to your home and fix you problem before 1:00 pm". Now time is 5:15 pm till now no one will not come. ACT people provide fake promises. I am very very disappointed and mentally disturbed going to file a case to consumer court.

                        This has never happened to me before while i was in airtel or tata docomo.
                        in ACT we dont do any thing not even youtube i am exceeding 100 Gb in 20 days . I definitely suspect a Foul play. My modem is MAC filter enabled and unless i enter the MAC address manually people cannot access my network.
                        So some hacker stealing my internet is impossible and their usage stats is not reliable.

                          I have opted for new broadband connectiob on 31st jan 2017. On 1st feb 2017 one of the act member visited my house and i paid 1600 for 1 month connection. I got connection setup on 8th feb 2017. I was able to use that service for only 2 hours. After that i called customer care, they took 48 hours + 48 hours+ 48 hours + 24 hours to fix my issue. But finally there is no resolution has been made to fix my issue. I want my money refunded and please disconnect my internet connection since it is useless. You people wasted lot of time.                             Hi Team,

                            I am facing Network connectivity issue for the last 6 days (11th Feb-Present) and I have raised a complaint for it. But till now there is no action taken from your end. I have reached customer care about this issue and I got irritated from your customer support. I am facing this issue for the 3rd time and there is no proper communication from your end.
                            Today morning I reach out to the ACT service center office located in Pallikaranai, Chennai to check regarding my complaint but I got shocked by the response from the center. They are saying that they don't know the current status of the ticket and this will be handled only by the customer care and not by them. I don't know, this is how you will treat your customer.
                            I am upset with your customer support. I again called to the customer support for escalating it to the higher officials but center is not providing me proper information regarding the escalation procedure. I am fed up with the response and now I have decided to wind up your service and move to other service provider.
                            So please disconnect my service and provide me the waive off the amount for the last 6 days and provide me the final bill.

                            Dell Laptop Speaker output not coming but throw Headset it's working fine, I try drivers uninstall and install and also updated and also did diagnostic test it's shows all are OK.

                              I have raised a request on 23rd of Jan to remove from the auto pay for the account and got the confirmation also.

                              even after that Feb 13 they have deducted again for 1206 amount and when I spoke with the customer care we will raise a request to remove from the auto pay but amount won't be refunded.

                              this is ridiculous service from the ACT and I never expect this type of issues from the ACT atleast.

                                ACT FIBER NET connection has never been stable since post vardah. Every week there has been a problem with the connection and it gets disconnected.
                                Despite the several complaints made, they do no prioritize them at all and tell us that it would be restored in 72 hours but take almost 2 weeks time . It is very essential that we need this service to be restored within 24 hours of complaint and that they would also insist us to pay our bill without even proper internet connection. this kind of disconnection has been happening a lot of times since vardah . so we would request you to take action against this complaint and would ask them to restore the internet connection as soon as possible.

I have been ACT fibernet customer from past more than 18 months. From recent days i have been facing frequent issue of CX port down. The services provided by ACT fibernet Chennai customer care is really pathetic. It is taking them 6 days to resolve the issue. The chennai customer care service employees have very bad tone and attitude of speaking to customer. We can really judge the service of a company where the floor manager himself has very bad attititude. I am sure that MR. KUMAR S (FLOOR MANAGER) will surely help in reducing the issues in ACT as he will make sure that people are forced to quit ACT and look for better service provider. When any customer will talk to him, he/she will quit ACT. So invariably when the number of customers will reduce, the issues will reduce and MR.KUMAR S can sit relaxed. I have raised ticket on Thursday for CX port down issue but it has not yet been fixed yet.. Yes i was angry when i called because i have been following up from Friday morning but still issue is not resolved. Whenever i call, it takes 25 rs for a call as they always keep me waiting and also they always say that the ETA is tomorrow EOD. The Chennai customer care service is so bad that they never pick up calls. I guess they take the receiver and keep it on table so that no call is received. I have been experiencing it from past two months and that is why i have been reaching Bangalore team. I am not surprised to see this happening in Chennai customer care office after speaking to floor manager KUMAR .S. Very soon i am going to shift back my internet provider to Airtel. Chennai customer care service people put us on hold for a long time so that we get irritated and disconnect the call. On Feb 4th, Chennai customer care service was not at all reachable and that us why i had to call Bangalore number and get the nodal officer number and reach him. But still it made no use. My question is that when i dont have services for atleast 10 days in a month then why should i pay the bill for one month service? Also for a service why should i keep calling and following up being a customer. When you people dont value customer, then neither i value your service. I called in today as well for an update and the status is still same. They were asking for 48 hours ETA. Finally i have raised request to disconnect the service. I will now move to better broadband service provider. I know that this email will never reach concern team nor it matters to you guys of one customer has deactivated the ACT service. But i will make sure that i put up my experience in social media and blog about this for sure. I will try my level best to make my friends to avoid such pathetic service

                                    On 11th Dec 2016, I have subscribed to ACT Broadband and I paid the subscription amount Rs.1649 for User ID:[protected] on the same day. I almost waited more than 10 days and I haven’t received my broadband connection. Well, I do understand the problems faced by ACT Fibernet team in Chennai due to the natural disaster. And I was calling the Customer service team on daily basis. No response from them.

                                    On 19th Dec 2016, From Chennai Helpdesk team, I have received an irresponsible reply saying that “We will activate your connection ASAP”. After 3 days on 22nd Dec 2016, I have received an ensured email saying that the connection will be activated before 31st December.

                                    But nothing happened and remain silent till 4th Jan 2017. In the meantime, I kept calling the Customer support executives to get the status of my connection but none of them responded properly and reaching them over the phone is like doing impossible. All I was expected is a call from the team stating your connection will take so & so date and time or you'll get the connection on so and so date. But nothing happened and no one replied from the team.

                                    Finally I got frustrated and I forwarded the conversation email I had to Chennai, Bangalore Helpdesk team & Nodal officers on 4th Jan 2017. And I requested them to stop activating my profile and line and I requested them to refund my subscription amount. On the same day, I have received an email from Appellate Authority of Chennai saying that “We would like to inform you that we have registered your request to refund your payment. Your request number is [protected]. As per the process maximum with in 20 days the refund will be initiated through DD.”

                                    I posted my issue in ACT facebook page to let them know. They haven’t responded properly, Instead they have deleted all the posts which I have posted and they treated me very badly by giving some rude replies. Still I’m waiting for the refund and In the meantime on 4th Jan 2017, I spoke to one of their Sr. Customer support executive Mr.Venkatesh and he collected my Bank account details and ensured that he’ll resolve the issue by refunding the amount within 2 days. On the same day, I drafted them an email saying If the amount is not refunded within 2 days, I will file a complaint in Consumer court. Still I haven’t received the refund and they are not even bothered to send a reply for that email or not even a call regarding the refund request.

                                        Post Vardah cyclone, we had our ACT connection restored after 4 weeks. The internet was working for 2 weeks till Jan 21st after which it failed. We made a customer support call in which they mentioned it would be restored in 2 days. We called post 2 days and they said that it is a technical issue and would take another couple of days to restore it. We called after 2 days again and they said it would be restored tomorrow. They have been promising this till date and there is still no action taken. What is surprising is that the connectivity for all our neighborhood is still intact and working fine. They had even done a regular check up on those buildings during this time.
                                        Since yesterday when we call customer support to enquire they have been hanging up on us repeatedly. Appalled at this kind of behavior.
