Chronology of events.

1. Dec 12 th cyclone varadh
2. Dec 12 th trees fell
3. Ticket raised to restore my connection [protected]
3. Dec 18th power back up.
No internet connection
Dec 22nd a message stating there will it will be up in 4- 5 days.
Dec 28 - called customer support for status- was informed by dec 30th, will be restored
Dec 28 - wrote a mail to appellate authority and nodal officer asking for updates was informed only will be done as soon as possible
Dec 30- called customer support for update, was informed will be restored only by Jan 5th.
Dec31st - wrote a mail to appellate authority stating breach of contract and customer disatisfaction, and denial and deficiencies in service. Reply stating will be restored on or before Jan 5 th.
Jan 3 rd mail to appellate authority asking for updates - no reply.
Jan 3rd - message from act stating "we have generated bill, but no charges applied suitable waiver will be passed on.
Jan 5 th - mail sent to appellate authority asking for full refund, of Jan, dec moth charges, and public apology for deficiency of services. Will be sending a lawyer notice to the company asking for compensation.

Disconnection will follow. A simple paper ad, along with website and realtime updates would have been the need of the hour. CTO, COO, CEO all are useless in managing this entire debacle.

    Act broadband transfer of connection.
    I had raised connection transfer request on 27 December 2016.
    Till 2rd January 2017 (Which is beyond SLA of 7 days), nobody contacted me.
    I had contacted ACT customer care multiple times and got the response that feasibility is done and very soon you will get but i have not received any update yet and the transfer is still pending.

      Its really horrible that I couldn't connect to ACT customer care via phone or email, No internet connection from Dec 12th 2016 and worst part even ACT customer care & their helpdesk (email) team is not working from Dec 12th. Really frustrated with the service provided by ACT & the customer care by ACT. I have no idea where to raise my concern so posting it here, it's worst that paying money for ACT but raising complaint in public forum that's the level of service provided by ACT.

        My act account no.[protected] and i am based in nanganallur, chennai.. For the past three weeks, my internet services were disrupted. I escalated to the concerned technical and customer care team about the non-availability of their internet services thro several mails, as contacting them over phone is highly impossible. They have developed a fine culture of not responding to customer's complaints and it appears that they have no intention of resolving their own technical issues. I reproduce hereunder, the contents of various mails escalated to them.
        While several govt. Departments, like, bsnl, tn electricity board and civil services have restored the emergency services, act people are still searching for some clues in restoring internet services. Ironically, they are unable to honour their commitment to restore our services within 48-72 hours as assured to us vide their mail update sent to me on 20.12.2016. The services which were partly restored on 27.12.16 were again disrupted from 31.12.16. My repeated requests to their technical staff, who are visiting and inspecting our area for carrying out repairs in the premises of my apartment, from 30.12.16 till date have not borne any fruit. Really, i am extremely sorry for this sorry state of affairs. I am just repenting myself why i am still continue to have trust with the company. Now it is clear that they are unable to rectify the technical glitches as i have totally lost trust and hope in their functioning and chances of resumption of the services are bleak and remote.

        Very very sorry for my fate and for not switching my loyalty to other players. I know pretty well that there would not be positive response in this regard.

        I am constrained to escalate this issue of non-cooperation and lethargic attitude of act in not responding to customer's complaints and seek your intervention in the matter.

          Hi,

          My mobile number is [protected] and my name is rajaram. I paid and recharged act broadband for the month of december. And my broadband went down on december 13. I raised two complaints and contact act broadband customer care several times but still there is no response and never know when my internet problem get solved because of their worst service, i lost huge amount in my business. Now i want they want to do proper compensation. They are totally absconded and cheated my money.

            After the cyclone hit in chennai, act fibernet is down. I do understand that it affected severely throughout the city. My question over here is :

            When all other isp can recover why act is unable to recover?
            Are the act people/representatives really working to get this recovered?

            When ever i call act customer care, they say madipakkam main hub is working correct and the issue is only with local hub, this is the reason why i am not getting the internet.
            How long will it take for you guys to rectify the issue? Waiting for 2 complete weeks and still the same status provided by customer care representative is really annoying.
            I called customer care - act 3 times, whenever i call them, they always provide false information informing me within 2 days - within 3 days - by jan 5, the issue will be resolved. All my hopes on act has gone completely.

              Right from dec 12th, i lost my net connectivity n raised enough complaints ([protected]) to act. I have a mail chain addressing to nodal officers and appellate officers.                 No internet connection from ( from Vardha Cyclone till today) 25 days. Staying in Nanganallur area in Chennai.
                Customer care number is helpless, always busy/. If connects no proper response, Gives wrong info. Always says will work within 2 days. But that 2 days never came till date.
                Someone from ACT calls up says, we will rectify today your issue, even that today never came. Always false commitments.

                ACT is fooling people, Really looking for disconnection of services. though i paid the amount for whole year.

                  Internet is not working from past 2 days and no action even after numerous complaints on app and SMS. Whenever I try to call customer care it's busy. I don't know if they are really receiving so many complaints or they don't have any employee in customer. I don't feel like continuing with them. I've always paid full bill properly on time but this type of irresponsible service will not work for long time. Airtel was not previously available in my area now it is available so I think of switching to Airtel. ACT is the worst service ISP.

                  Other people connected to the same modem in our apartment are getting internet connection but it's not working only for me. I don't know why they are doing this inspite of paying bills properly.
                  I have not used any internet but my data usage fup says u have consumed full data.. something is wrong.
                  Raised a request from mobile app and registered a request through SMS. As I was in hurry in shifting the house from Chennai to Bangalore. Needed the transfer as soon as possible.Nobody contacted me. No acknowledgement receipt at-least.

                    It's been 18 days since your service has been disrupted and you guys choose to sir idle?

                    Who do you guys think yoy are?

                    Who gave you the rights to terminate your call center lines or keep them engaged all the time.

                    How in freaking way does one get in touch with your company.

                    All numbers are engaged, not for one day, but for 2 weeks.

                    You don't smartly publish a number for the nodal officer as well. Scoundrels. Bunch of whimpers.

                      ACT broadband services (Customer ID:[protected] have been down since 12th December 2016 (Monday), due to cyclone Vardah. I contacted customer care on 16th December 2016 (Friday) to know when broadband services would be restored. The customer care representative assured me services would be restored by 19th December (Monday) evening. I contacted customer care on 20th December regarding status of repairs. They replied it would take additional 3 - 4 days. I contacted customer care on 23rd December again. They again replied it would take 2 more days since although services were active from their side since December 21st, local network box was down. They closed a ticket (ID: [protected]). raised on 19th December, on 22nd December without solving the problem. I again contacted on 26th December and the same above mentioned reason. I contacted today (30th December) and the representative told me it would be restored by 5th January 2017. The customer care representatives refuse to provide additional details, current status of "progress" or contact details of service engineers. This shows your professionalism. I haven't encountered such pathetic services from anyone till now. Please shut down your pathetic business if you cant provide services. Expect strict legal action for your callousness and nonchalant attitude towards customers if I don't get my broadband restored latest by tomorrow (31st December).

                        My ACT Broadband user id is 11410221. After the cyclone Vardah in Chennai, ACT sent out an email stating that their service won't be available for 4-7 days.
                        I waited for 1 and half weeks and tried to call their customer care. It's always busy. The customer service is extremely poor. I want my money refunded and possibly disconnect the connection. ACT doesn't have the courtesy to have the Customer care number online. My complaint ticket number is [protected]. If they charge the complete amount, i would like to sue ACT. There is no ETA at the moment from them. I cannot wait more than this.

                          I've been with ACT Fibernet for about 16 months in Bengaluru. My data usage over the last couple of months seem to have hitting my FUP limit far earlier than before. According to their portal, I consumed more than 115 GB till 27th Dec when it’s simply not possible because my data usage has been pretty much similar for the past 16 months. I'm seeing inflated data usage and hitting my FUP limit (85 GB) by the second week. I have checked my data usage stats in their portal and found that I have used ~20 GB on 8th December and there is no way I would have used THAT MUCH DATA. So I asked the customer care to show me the data logs as my data usage is highly inflated and exaggerated, they said it’s not possible and they are not willing to share the daily summary of the usage.
                          I’m very much convinced that ACT data usage software is dodgy with inflated data usage. I logged a complaint with the customer and see what happens.

                              India's 3rd Largest ISP ? Seriously ? When other 3rd class service provider like Rajjnet and Net Express have restored the service within a day, I considered ACT as the best, What's your problem exactly?

                              Request to take immediate action since already half month has passed and the customers aren't fools to stick with ACT, I'm on the verge of shifting back to Airtel. Very nice plans have been launched by them .

                                Denial of refund after disconnection of service.

                                I am a subscriber to broadband connection of ACT FIBERNET Broadband Setvice. On 1st of December 2016, I have paid for six months. Now I am going out of country for good and wanted to disconnect service and asked for refund of my money balance. My account was disconnected on 24th December 2016 but I was told that money once paid cannot be refunded. They are refusing to pay and bluntly denying my request....

                                Hello-My user id 11224857. I have raised a complaint 16 days back to resolve Internet connectivity still now there there is no resolution till now. Act Customer care is always busy and not able to reach any representative. According to me, stupid service for a such a valued product. There is no proper channel to reach Customer care. If this continues, I'm sure Act will not survive.

                                ACT Fibrenet connection under GX (ie) direct connection without any junction box is not working since 12thDec 2016. No response or no action taken so far!!
                                The product deserves 5 stars but am giving one star because of the poor customer service being provided in last couple of weeks. Customer care number has been set off. Only way to reach them is through SMS or App but both share same result stating that ticket has been generated already. Generating ticket is not swift response, acting on it and resolving the issue is real response. First ever email mentioned 2 to 5 days and then it was moved to 3 to 10 days and all of a sudden it started working in some areas for half a day and again the connectivity is gone. I can see bunches of cables lying around the street lamp posts and a wire left on our street over which all vehicles are passing by. These wires were not bcoz of Vardha cyclone. They were left like this when TN Chief Minister passes away. After that no one turned back.

                                JUST IGNORING EVERY CALL AND MESSAGE AND HIDING WONT HELP ACT FIBERNET TO GROW OR SHINE OR OVERCOME THE CONNECTIVITY ISSUE. AND MERE LIES ABT UNDERGROUND CABLES OR REPRESENTATIVES WORKING IS A MERE SHAM.

                                Have your executives to pick up the phone to respond or take cancellation requests. Just dont be sitting ducks doing nothing.

                                I always wondered about the product because of the high speed but now i regret that it is the hands of ppl who are so poor in handling customer and being run away CHUMPS
                                I too agree. Dont send bills, we are not going to pay it anymore for this stupid service.

                                  Our ACT Fibrenet GX connection has not been working since 12th Dec 2016. Thoroughly disappointed with lethargic attitude of ACT C Care as we are not able to contact them due to their busy line always. Alwarthirunagar Annexe no action taken so far!!

                                    ACT Customer care is not reachable. No internet connectivity for past 2 weeks. Unable to reach the nodal officers either. This service provider has the audacity to blankly restrict access to customer care and still prides about the best service. Heartbroken by their non-committal service, I wanted to discontinue their service. Now I am clueless about how to do that.
