I have made request to deactivate service and before deactivating i made full payment 2299 for the current month. However as i used fot only 13 days now my account shows a credit of 1409, which is caluculated as per pro rata basis so i requested them to refund the balance amount.
They say we dont have refund option.

But is this not malicious pratice being in service sector. How can we enforce they make sure they refund balance amount.

I have raised a issue in this same forum, for some reason this issue was tagged as resolved and closed.

Re posting the same issue again.

    I am using net connection from past 8 months, 10 days back got
    disconnected, because of somebody box power disconnected, one week on wards
    i am giving complaint to customer care, but after 10 days also there no
    connection activated. Prolonging every tomorrow, tomorrow from that box
    having 5 connections, i have suggested to them to take the connection-they
    scolding me. Why this much big company, doing like this, practically after
    giving complaint 24 hrs you want to rectify, but already 10 days completed,

    [protected]...Still now not rectified, what we do- Can we suggest anybody
    to take the ACT connection after facing the problem, can you suggest for
    anybody-after suffered. I asked them to give me connection from near by
    another box. They don't care about that.

      I bought a act Fibernet last month in my home singanallur.. They installed a box in my home and never told us any details that time...it started working..15 days later they came suddenly to My home and without our knowledge they started working on that box to give one more connection without even letting us know wat was it. We obejdcted meaning that we wanted to get it clarified as we were not told about this anypoint of time.. Now that person Mr.moorthy from act Fibernet has again come today inside our home and harassed my mother..telling he will make sure this connection will be discontinued .. We have paid advance rental plans...issue i s that this kind of customer harassment is highly unacceptable.. From act..Fibernet...

      I have requested to disconnect my connection . But no response was given for 10 days . Kindly disconnect my connection . I requested on january but now its february and now i received the bill for this month.

        Hello ACT Fibernet,

        I need a quick resolution for the issue I am facing since last 6 days.

        1.I have raised ticket no. [protected] on 26th January 2017 to shift my connection.
        2.On 27th January I got call from your customer care team that connection is feasible at new location.l was assured that someone will come on same day to collect address proof and shifting charges of rupees 500.
        3. I have been following up since then, but there is no progress. I was told that within 7 days issue will be resolved.
        4. Today 31st January is the 6th day and no one has approached till date.
        5. I am loosing my work due to no connectivity. I need a quick resolution.

          I was using ACT for past 7 months. After the recent vardha cyclone their restoration work was very poor. I made close to 100 calls and sent constant emails. Every time they asked for 4 days but never made any effort to restore it. Finally after close to 50 days of no internet I called them and said please restore the connection on the deadline you have given or I have no other option but to surrender the connection. ACT without making any efforts to restore simply disconnected my connection. I'm deeply saddened by their approach and feel cheated by ACT for making false promises and making me wait for 50 days. I know my request you to look into this issue and get me fair compensation for all the troubles I have suffered because of them. My customer ID is: 11818441

            This is happening every month and now we are fed up. I reset the FUP and got 30 GB flexybytes this month. But in matter of 4.5 days.. it was exhausted. This is impossible as 3 out of the 4 days were weekdays. Maximum 2 people can exhaust 2-3 GB MAX MAX in a day on a weekday. You guys are surely cheating. We have had enough and after this month I am cancelling the plan and opting for some other Broadband.

            Go to hell ACT. Bloody cheaters.

              I have taken connection in month of November. I taken plan of 40 gb with 10mbps speed. My usage is very less and i have another broadband connection with 30 GB in my office (You Broadband) in which data left every.
              This Act broadband is showing wrong Data usage. My usage is very less and its telling data completed. It is showing fake data usage.

                I have never seen such poor service as ACT. My connection is yet to be restored after Cyclone Varadah. I understand it was a natural calamity and hence waited patiently for a month. After that we keeping going to their office in person to complain. Every time they keep stating it will be resolved in 48 hrs but that 48 hrs never came yet. 5 times they kept giving dates that was never met. I made two more relatives install ACT and now all o[censored]s are in trouble. This is the first time I am facing such poor service. No one responds and even if you force them to respond, they make commitments that they can never meet. It is during crisis that the real nature / preparedness of a team can be assessed. From that standpoint ACT has scored -ve ratings. Every other service provider was up within a week and ACT is struggling even after two months. This shows their infrastructure.

                Finally yesterday ACT came to rectify the issue. They said, the need to make some backend change which would be done in 1 hr. But until now the issue is not resolved. Does ACT not have qualified technicians to resolve issues. If there is a natural disaster, not sure how much to time is needed to get back to normal. Too pathetic.

                  I stay in Adyar area, since 12 Dec, it went down, and I am following with ACT customer care.They given dates of 24hrs, 48hrs, 23rd Dec, 28th Dec, 3rd Jan, 10th Jan, 15th Jan, 25th Jan, and still no progress and update to resolve and fix.Now customer telling about 30th Jan to fix which also I doubt...Escalated to their team and spend so much time in calling and mailing them with no luck..48 days internet is out and not sure when it will come..I am stuck now by paying 6 month advance and seeing poor services from ACT.. Is there any regulatory authority who can review and help this company to resolve my issue..
                  And probabaly I will promise and recommend folks never to take this and if someone's having it, switch to other reliable providers asap, all other internet providers are working in my area since last month except ACT.I do not think any refund can come from this improperly managed company help desk.so Will need to wait if they really fixing my problem this week.

                    My ACT connection not working from December Cyclone. No one is bothering and responding to Customer call. It is one of the worst service which I ever had. If you want to waste your money, you can go with ACT service. I know all service has some problem. But ACT has full problem with little service. This is not only to me..to all my friends also.

                    Avoid ACT(Always Creating Tension) as much you can.

                      compliant logged 1 month before struggled to log compliant itself after logging till now no response and documented important dept nodal officer itself but no support and they automatically closed the compliant without any support

                        I never seen such a useless service provider. They have withdrawn the 'Act SWIFT" plan which I am using without any proper intimation. They are not able to provide the full services for the subscription I have done for January 2017, nor refunding the amount.
                        I have contacted several times their customer care, but no use.

                        Never recommend Act Fibernet for anyone.

                          It's been two months since cyclone vardah and i haven't still got my connectivity back.
                          Tried calling the customer care number and have mailed them a couple of times addressing the issue but have not received any reply. The customer care number seems busy, if they can't receive calls they why the hell do they have customer care numbers? That to its not toll free i waste nearly ₹5 on each call i make. Have tried calling them nearly 5 to 10 times a day.
                          I'm disgusted at this service provided by the act fibernet company which claims to be a better service provider than the others who can't even receive calls nor restore the connectivity. Cyclone hit the city there were various other wifi connection across the city but they dint have any network issue lasting for more than two months it's only act which has been disrupted, how poor there quality is then!
                          I hope at least this complaint is taken seriously and worked upon.

                            I was using the connection for the past 6 months and suddenly Internet stopped working on Saturday the 21st January, 2017. I called up the ACT broadband callcenter and they said that it would be resolved by evening. I called them again on the same evening, they said that it would take another 24 hours, still no Internet. I then got a message that the Internet service was disconnected due to VD-IV-HET/CX PERMISSION NOT REQUIRED. I called up the Callcenter and they bluntly denied helping and said that nothing can be done and they have disconnected the connection as no line was available. THIS WAS THE KIND OF RESPONSE I GOT EVEN AFTER PAYING THE MONTHLY RENTAL WELL IN ADVANCE. I work from home and getting this kind of a blunt reply was never expected. I am feeling helpless with NO INTERNET now. My account number with ACT is 1343894. I am sure that they would not refund the amount that I paid in advance and security. Please share e-mail or address where I can log a complaint against them.

                                I went to the banjarahills ACT office behind GVK to get the TFR of ACT account from my Dad's name to My name (Same address).I met this executive Nagaraj, who filled the application and have charged me Rs.4k+ for upgrading the plan and has promised that the existing account and the credit will get TFR in 24 hrs.Its been 2 weeks now, when i call Nagaraj he never picks up the phone.I have called[protected] and have spoken to Customer services for 2 times in last 5 days, they have promised it will be resolved in 24 hrs both the time and 5 days have passed.
                                Pathetic customer service and staff.Even after paying for 6 months in advance, i have to face this issue, its costing me time and money.I would see for few more days, if not sorted i need my full refund back and would get a different connection for another provider.

                                  Am writing this complaint again, in this month. not even a month they rectified the issue 15 days back, now again issue. since last 3 days i dont have connection. i get weird response from your support. Thursday 19th i raised complaint ( [protected]). support team said within 24 hours it will be solved. after 24 hours they say we need max. 5 days to solve issue.

                                  i dont understand what is the problem with ACT.in a month how many days their internet cable will get cut ? ( this is response from support team) Is ACT unprofessional and unorganized company? Well my next house is getting Net connection, am not . hope this sentence understand the issue

                                  I dont know how many days they need to solve a issue . Whole company behave like politicians, always they go back on commitments.
                                  i feel even management is not bothered to look at customer issue.

                                    Irresponsible Staff, no response on the queries and installation. Delay delay... and keep on delaying.

                                    Its been more than 7 days, i have following on installation of new connection, the entire staff looks so irresponsible. They did collect the form one on Thursday which seems to be invalid because of some internal issue they have. One more time i submitted the forms yesterday after which i got an assurance to get the connection on the same day evening, but its all in vain. The Area Rep doesnt answer calls, and revert on queries. The entire process is so disgusting.

                                      I'm a Act BB Customer with ID 10777653 for close to 5yrs. I usually pay my monthly bills and never trust the offers act bb offers whilst I pay the bills.
                                      For a change, I got the pop up asking me to pay 6 months up front and get a free WiFi router and I wanted it too so I decided to pay the upfront.
                                      To my surprise none of them came back to me after so many days. Today the 16th Jan I called up and the advisor over the phone carelessly says I'm sorry the app is newly developed and we are not giving any routers for old customers and it's only for new customers. His communication manners beyond average.
                                      I NEED MY ROUTER FREE OF COST. I also have screen shots of the app saying free router.

                                        I'm writing on behalf of Mr Muthuramalingam (my father), complaining that the connection is not yet restored. I have made numerous calls to the call centre to check on the status but its not fruitful. Each time the call centre agents are giving multiple answers that is completely out of sync.

                                        I'm really upset with the service and not sure what should be done to speed up the process. Mr Muthuramalingam is a senior citizen (aged 68 years) and is using ACT broadband since 2014.
                                        This is definitely not the way you should treat an aged customer.
                                        Atleast there should be some priority basis that you should consider to provide the connection as the network/port is down only for him and its working fine for all others in the locality.

                                        I'm hoping at least this complaint will lend a helping hand in sorting the issue.
