I have paid Amount Rs.7238.00 for new connection on[protected] and ACT Sales executive told will provide connection within 2~3 days. Installation person called me after two days and then never showed up and never respond to my call. It's already a week and till now connection not given.

    I am from Ramapuram chennai area. I took ACT broadband on Nov 2016. in December after the Varada Cyclone all the networks/broadband were down in our area. When I called ACT support, they told that it will be back online by 4 days. So after 4 days when It was not back I called them and again I got the response that I will be back within 4 days. And then after whenever I call them, I am getting the same answer and it has not been restored yet.

    There were other networks that has been affected by the cyclone, but was recovered within a week. Currently because of ACT's negligence I and suffering a great loss in my business.

    Also the customer care people were not so friendly. After few minutes of call, they will ask if you want you can cancel the connection.

    I want a solution for this and a compensation for the loss i acquired.

      No Internet Connection since Cyclone Vardah. Got SMS from ACT to register complaint but is of no use, No update on ticket too. Getting system generated mails every three days with false promises.

      I registered a ticket through SMS Ticket# [protected], still now it is open and no response for that.

      Then I registered a ticket# [protected] on ACT Support portal for Internet connectivity issue. Still they didnt restore the connection but the ticket was closed as RESOLVED. I don't know how come they close the ticket without any work.

      Tried to reach customer care center and field work personnel's a number of times but they are not even ready to attend the call.

      This is really a poor service from ACT. Airtel and BSNL are far better atleast we will get to know what is happening.

        Respected Sir/Madam,
        Its being a month after the cyclone hit . Still act internet facility hasn't been restored in my area . I am residing in 290, 2nd main road, natesa nagar, virugambakkam, chennai 600092. Every week when i call the customer care, they keep repeating the same words without fulfiling their own promise . My complaint numbers are [protected] and [protected]. Other internet providers in my area like cherrinet, ticona, airtel have rectified and restored the net connection 2 weeks ago . I really wonder why its taking so long for big corporation like ACT to solve the issue or our area has been neglected by the ACT ? Kindly look into the issue and pls do the needful .

          I live in R A Puram and have had no connectivity since the cyclone. The customer care no is not reachable. When an SMS is sent, the reply has been constant 'A ticket number has already been generated against your service request. We will update you with the estimated time for resolution soon.' So far I have got mails saying the connection would be restored on Dec 17th, Dec 24th, Jan 3rd and Jan 10th. Mails to the nodal officer also go unanswered. The service of ACT has always been poor. They have now sunk even lower if at all that is possible.

            I work from home and I am not able to do so since a few weeks post cyclone. Though all my colleagues has their connection up from your rival ISP's, I haven't yet had a stable connection. My wifi router is fine. Had it checked. The ticket no's are [protected] and [protected]. that I raised for the same issue. No response from your side. Now I need to opt out from your service And please fix your customer care number. I am not able to get an update from you by any means.

              Even after multiple complaints, my internet service has still not been resolved in Chennai. Its almost one months since the internet connection got disrupted. Still there is no proper resolution or correspondence from their side. Nobody even responds when i complain. Every time they just give a deadline of 10 days later which never happens. They just keep increasing the deadline.

                My ACT fibernet is not restored after cyclone vardha. My account number is[protected]. But to my surprise, I am getting a meager waiver. The service has been down for almost a month now. Everytime I call, I get a deadline that keeps extending. No intimation on what is happening in my area to fix the issue . I am in Chennai city ( Mylapore) and pathetic to see the service is not still up in a densely populated area . ACT sends a routine sorry automated email now and then that is of no use.

                My internet connection has been down for almost a month, but I get bill close to RS.900 and no response from ACT on what they are doing to fix my connection. No use sending automated sorry emails saying they are working round the clock. I am spending a lot of money in recharging my mobile data.

                  Due to cyclone Vardah, the internet lines were down since the start of Dec. The consumers have been patient enough to give almost a month's time for the service to resume. But it still has not been activated yet. Every phone call to the customer care, there is a postponement of repair date. I have sent 3 mails to the support centre and multiple calls to the call centre, and still this issue has not been addressed yet. Every call, there is a new excuse. I am not happy with their service at all. They do not understand their customer and wrongly estimating the tolerance/patience of theirs.

                  My ACT Broadband Not working for last 18 days. After the cyclone Vardah in Chennai, ACT sent out an email stating that their service won't be available for 4-7 days. I waited for 18 days and tried to call their customer care. It's always busy, they never pick up the call always need to send SMS only. Very bad Customer care
                  I Referred a friend of mine ( referral ID 146216) on 27th December 2016. The ACT fibernet serviceman has installed the connection and my friend got the Internet service working on 29th. I have not yet received any notification regarding the referral benefits (KFC meal For two) as promised by ACT fibernet.

                    I am from Velachery. My internet was down for past 3 weeks.
                    Raised a ticket on 15th Dec - Ticket no. [protected].
                    On 19th Dec got an SMS, "Complaint no.[protected] is resolved. Kindly reply No to [protected] if the Internet is still down."
                    Replied No to that mentioned number.

                    No response from the team, so raised one more ticket on 20th Dec - Just got a message on 20th, "We have taken note of your query. You will receive a ticket number shortly". Ticket got generated on 23rd Dec - ticket no. [protected].

                    No response from ACT team, tried to generate new ticket on 29th Dec & Jan 3rd, got same reply "A ticket number has already been generated against your service request."

                    On Jan 3rd, they generated new invoice, saying waived 259rs for the downtime and asking to pay 890 rs for the wonderful brilliant service they provided.

                    Customer Care number always Busy. Executives never pick up call.

                      Chronology of events.

                      1. Dec 12 th cyclone varadh
                      2. Dec 12 th trees fell
                      3. Ticket raised to restore my connection [protected]
                      3. Dec 18th power back up.
                      No internet connection
                      Dec 22nd a message stating there will it will be up in 4- 5 days.
                      Dec 28 - called customer support for status- was informed by dec 30th, will be restored
                      Dec 28 - wrote a mail to appellate authority and nodal officer asking for updates was informed only will be done as soon as possible
                      Dec 30- called customer support for update, was informed will be restored only by Jan 5th.
                      Dec31st - wrote a mail to appellate authority stating breach of contract and customer disatisfaction, and denial and deficiencies in service. Reply stating will be restored on or before Jan 5 th.
                      Jan 3 rd mail to appellate authority asking for updates - no reply.
                      Jan 3rd - message from act stating "we have generated bill, but no charges applied suitable waiver will be passed on.
                      Jan 5 th - mail sent to appellate authority asking for full refund, of Jan, dec moth charges, and public apology for deficiency of services. Will be sending a lawyer notice to the company asking for compensation.

                      Disconnection will follow. A simple paper ad, along with website and realtime updates would have been the need of the hour. CTO, COO, CEO all are useless in managing this entire debacle.

                        Act broadband transfer of connection.
                        I had raised connection transfer request on 27 December 2016.
                        Till 2rd January 2017 (Which is beyond SLA of 7 days), nobody contacted me.
                        I had contacted ACT customer care multiple times and got the response that feasibility is done and very soon you will get but i have not received any update yet and the transfer is still pending.

                          Its really horrible that I couldn't connect to ACT customer care via phone or email, No internet connection from Dec 12th 2016 and worst part even ACT customer care & their helpdesk (email) team is not working from Dec 12th. Really frustrated with the service provided by ACT & the customer care by ACT. I have no idea where to raise my concern so posting it here, it's worst that paying money for ACT but raising complaint in public forum that's the level of service provided by ACT.

                            My act account no.[protected] and i am based in nanganallur, chennai.. For the past three weeks, my internet services were disrupted. I escalated to the concerned technical and customer care team about the non-availability of their internet services thro several mails, as contacting them over phone is highly impossible. They have developed a fine culture of not responding to customer's complaints and it appears that they have no intention of resolving their own technical issues. I reproduce hereunder, the contents of various mails escalated to them.
                            While several govt. Departments, like, bsnl, tn electricity board and civil services have restored the emergency services, act people are still searching for some clues in restoring internet services. Ironically, they are unable to honour their commitment to restore our services within 48-72 hours as assured to us vide their mail update sent to me on 20.12.2016. The services which were partly restored on 27.12.16 were again disrupted from 31.12.16. My repeated requests to their technical staff, who are visiting and inspecting our area for carrying out repairs in the premises of my apartment, from 30.12.16 till date have not borne any fruit. Really, i am extremely sorry for this sorry state of affairs. I am just repenting myself why i am still continue to have trust with the company. Now it is clear that they are unable to rectify the technical glitches as i have totally lost trust and hope in their functioning and chances of resumption of the services are bleak and remote.

                            Very very sorry for my fate and for not switching my loyalty to other players. I know pretty well that there would not be positive response in this regard.

                            I am constrained to escalate this issue of non-cooperation and lethargic attitude of act in not responding to customer's complaints and seek your intervention in the matter.

                              My mobile number is [protected] and my name is rajaram. I paid and recharged act broadband for the month of december. And my broadband went down on december 13. I raised two complaints and contact act broadband customer care several times but still there is no response and never know when my internet problem get solved because of their worst service, i lost huge amount in my business. Now i want they want to do proper compensation. They are totally absconded and cheated my money.

                                After the cyclone hit in chennai, act fibernet is down. I do understand that it affected severely throughout the city. My question over here is :

                                When all other isp can recover why act is unable to recover?
                                Are the act people/representatives really working to get this recovered?

                                When ever i call act customer care, they say madipakkam main hub is working correct and the issue is only with local hub, this is the reason why i am not getting the internet.
                                How long will it take for you guys to rectify the issue? Waiting for 2 complete weeks and still the same status provided by customer care representative is really annoying.
                                I called customer care - act 3 times, whenever i call them, they always provide false information informing me within 2 days - within 3 days - by jan 5, the issue will be resolved. All my hopes on act has gone completely.

                                  Right from dec 12th, i lost my net connectivity n raised enough complaints ([protected]) to act. I have a mail chain addressing to nodal officers and appellate officers. Till now the issue has not resolved.                                     No internet connection from ( from Vardha Cyclone till today) 25 days. Staying in Nanganallur area in Chennai.
                                    Customer care number is helpless, always busy/. If connects no proper response, Gives wrong info. Always says will work within 2 days. But that 2 days never came till date.
                                    Someone from ACT calls up says, we will rectify today your issue, even that today never came. Always false commitments.

                                    ACT is fooling people, Really looking for disconnection of services. though i paid the amount for whole year.

                                      Internet is not working from past 2 days and no action even after numerous complaints on app and SMS. Whenever I try to call customer care it's busy. I don't know if they are really receiving so many complaints or they don't have any employee in customer. I don't feel like continuing with them. I've always paid full bill properly on time but this type of irresponsible service will not work for long time. Airtel was not previously available in my area now it is available so I think of switching to Airtel. ACT is the worst service ISP.

                                      Other people connected to the same modem in our apartment are getting internet connection but it's not working only for me. I don't know why they are doing this inspite of paying bills properly.
                                      I have not used any internet but my data usage fup says u have consumed full data.. something is wrong.
                                      Raised a request from mobile app and registered a request through SMS. As I was in hurry in shifting the house from Chennai to Bangalore. Needed the transfer as soon as possible.Nobody contacted me. No acknowledgement receipt at-least.

                                        It's been 18 days since your service has been disrupted and you guys choose to sir idle?

                                        Who do you guys think yoy are?

                                        Who gave you the rights to terminate your call center lines or keep them engaged all the time.

                                        How in freaking way does one get in touch with your company.

                                        All numbers are engaged, not for one day, but for 2 weeks.

                                        You don't smartly publish a number for the nodal officer as well. Scoundrels. Bunch of whimpers.
