I am having ACT Fiber Net Connection for the last 4 years. At present I am having CHN Blast Promo package under account No.[protected] . The package is valid up to 22/10/2022.
We now leaving Chennai, on 07/10/2022, for New Zealand . We will be returning to India on 05/04/2023.
Hence for arranging our period of absence, among other things, for suspension of the ACT connection, I began writing to their office on 25/09/2022. I have been closely following up with their Support ACT Chennai as well as Help Desk, ACT Chennai . As usual they only raise complaint tickets. Two days before one official by name Mr. Anand talked to me. I clearly told him that I am agreeable to avail the facility of ' SAFE CUSTODY ' and requested him to send the online link for making the necessary fees with only one condition that the safe custody should start from 08/10/2022 only as I have to use the broadband up
to 07/10/2022. He was agreeable to that. But there has been no constructive follow from their side.
It seems they are bereft of ideas. It seems that ACT people are ill at ease in properly serving customers smoothly. For this purpose can I go on follow up with them till the date of my departure ( 07/10/2022 ) ???
In comparison for the same type of service I wrote to TATA PLAY For SUSPENSION OF TATA PLAY CONNECTION during the period of my absence . As usual there was an acknowledgement mail from them . They informed that their people will call me within 24 hours. Within, 24 hours ( today ) a lady executive discussed my need and resolved my need within another 5 minutes. My TATA PLAY CONNECTION is suspended from a particular date preferred by me !!!. I also received the intimation to that effect.!!! THIS IS SERVICE PROPER.
But ACT Fiber Net ????. Very poor Service. Very poor follow up. They could not think do beyond their APPS ?????. In the service angle they are wanting .
I am herewith attaching the trailing correspondence in this regard with ACT for easy reference. Kindly pull them up and get the service quickly.

POSITIVE BUT NOT COMPLETELY FINISHED. FOR THE TYPE OF SERVICE SOUGHT FOR THERE IS A CHARGE INVOLVED FOR THAT. ACT HAS NOT SENT ANY LINK FOR PAYMENT ONLINE BY ME. THANKS TO YOUR KIND INTERVENTION THE SERVICE PART IS OVER AND THEY HAVE, IN WRITING, INTIMATED TO ME. BUT STILL THE CHARGES PAYMENT PART REMAINS PENDING.

    We registered for GX box installation on 15 sep 2022.. The customer service people told me to pay ₹2200 for installation to start the process..They said box will be installed by 21 st September.. But they closed the ticket without installation.technician didn’t contacted us..whenever I spoke to customer service they said we will escalate ur request..but work is not done..I need an installation asap…ticket no isSR[protected] it’s really frustrating as we need Internet for WFH.

        ACT network connection is good till we gets problem on their network. I have made complaints to customer care for low hanging network cable on my road on last Saturday. I got sms that ticket will be expect to complete on Tuesday. But no one turned back. Finally Thursday night that cable got disconnected due to vehicle crossed and my network got disconnected in my home. Friday again raised another ticket for this cable issue to fix my network issue. I got sms this ticket will complete before Friday evening 7pm. Saturday i called customer care multiple times and got again sms saying issue will fix on Saturday before evening 7pm. Finally Engineer came at 7.30 pm and informed that I didn't bring machine to fix this cable issue. Sunday I will fix this issue. He just came Saturday just for record purpose he told us what I already informed to customer care. Today Sunday and waiting for engineer to fix this cable issue. They are very irresponsible. I will not face network issue if they align the cable properly when I raised ticket and acted on or before their SLA. Even small network will turnback before this act network engineer come. Worst experience. It fully damage Act brand name. Finally I decided to switch to other network company.

          I am forced to right here as i had lodged two complaints and ACT closed them inspite of asking them to keep it open. Their switch that supplied excess power has caused damage to my Router and the CCTV DVR. I had to pay for a new router and service of the DVR. The DVR company clearly mentioned that the network port caused the damage to the mother board. ACT network cable which directly comes from the switch has suddenly supplied high voltage. The team did not provide any resolution and have closed the ticket

            I have been using act Fibernet with prepayment for 3 months. I had made complaint as my internet wasn’t working for more than 4 days after several complaints to cc it still wasn’t resolved and they kept on changing the timelines. I had switched to another connection on aug end and they said I will not have my money refunded for the. Month of sep which I had already paid. As per their them, unused usage for an entire month which dint even start can’t be refunded. What kind of fraudulent is this ?
            Also remove your box from my premises.

                  It has been more than 3 days. The wires have been installed but the internet connection is not active. Neither has ACT installed the router. On calling the customer service, they say it would be done immediately and someone would call back. But nobody calls back. The sales person conveniently avoids my calls. Pathetic customer service

                        Dear Officer,

                        This is to bring to your kind notice that, today my internet connection got deactivated because I raised below 2 concerns failing which I requested for disconnection of services:

                        1. For the past 7months I have been facing internet intermittent problem with zero battery backup(Raised almost 20+ SRs), I requested for permanent fix with at least 1-2hrs battery backup.

                        2. Requested atleast 2-3months waiver for the internet issues I faced, which was promised by the customer support agent and technical support team, that it will get adjusted in billing cycle. But was offered only 15days compensation.

                        When I requested the above points to get addressed else process disconnection then the team has selected disconnection process and deactivated my internet connection.

                        However, when your team selected immediate disconnection of services after communication and without any notice within 5-10mts then why removal of boxes is not done in the same time frame??

                        When your technical team deactivated my connection without providing permanent fix then how will I get my compensation for service disruption??

                        When I faced an issue with the internet for long time I was promised by customer support team, technical support team that compensation will be adjusted at the time of billing cycle.

                        I don't understand why power consumption charges are being considered as discount and why unable to understand that iam paying electricity bill on behalf of ACT. Nodal team is considering power consumption as discount?? I don't understand the standards and where interruption services had been compensated in the bill.

                        Request to intervene in this on priority and resolve at earliest.

                            Dear Sir,
                            I have asked for the disconnection of the service and I am repitedly receiving calls for non payment of dues !!!

                            I have paid my dues and raised for disconnection. This is prepaid services and I have not obtained for the extention of services. Then why the bill is getting generated ? Even after raised the disconnection... I have Even thought paid Rs. 397.23 what the hopeless service this is ...

                            I am hereby requesting your support regarding this matter...!!!

                            The ACT FIBERNET is really not at all good for the connection for internet.. they are not at all understanding the Customer issues ...

                            The initial days they have asked us to pay amount for 3 to 6 months in one go then our wifi router will be free ... now they are asking the router back... I don't understand why they are lieing to there customers ... !!!

                            I request your support to refund my amount of Rs.397.23 and close this issue, unnecessary calls needs to be avoided from ACT Fibernet.

                            Pls help .

                            Kindly cancel my subscription permanently. This is really irritating services which I have ever took. I have got the msg for subscription cancelation .but now also I am getting calls from your company.

                            This is really unacceptable ...!!!

                            I have handed over my wifi router also ... why again it's showing outstanding balance...

                            No one is responding...not Even nodal officers ... pls respond.

                              I was using ACT fibernet connection and due to service related issues I have cancelled the subscription and raised request for refund. But the amount have not refunded fully. For the same I raised the request again and company acknowledge to pay back in full as I have surrendered the router also. But even after multiple requests no one is responding back.

                                The salesperson promised to provide split bills for every month on taking 3 month rental plan of ACT fibernet but he didn't do so after the installation no proper response from him. I need this split up bill for my reimbursement from the company. Y should someone cheat the customer by giving false promises..

                                    I purchased ACT internet plan on 4th Sep. 300MBPS plan for 6months (1 month Free).
                                    1. I already have a Router but it is basic one. The Sales Executive and Installation guy said that we can try with the Router i have and if it is not upto the mark, I can raise a change request and instead of 1 Month Free they will give me a Free Router.

                                    2. Also, if i am dissatisfied with the service there is a trial period within which i can cancel the plan and they reimburse the whole amount.

                                    I am not getting proper speed. The speed i am getting is 3MBPS. Now when i asked them to provide me a Router instead of the Free Month, they are not accepting.
                                    So, I am asking them to cancel the plan since it is only 1 day (Sep 5th), they are saying there is no option to cancel or no such thing called Trial period.

                                    On top if it, when i asked the Customer Executive 'Shahjahan' to transfer the call to higher authority so that i can request, he is denying it and saying there is not process to cancel.

                                    This is pure misselling by ACT

                                      I am using ACT Fibernet since 8+ years and never had such problems. Until now.

                                      First problem:
                                      I needed a transfer of connection to Bangalore from a different city where I am using ACT already. Despite being a leading internet services provider, they don't have ability to transfer a cnnection between cities.

                                      Second problem:
                                      I raised a new connection request and paid money for 6 months advance (which amounts to 7600+). Quick and smooth payment and online verification process. No problems until the money is paid.

                                      After payment, the connection installation went to an internal team. They contacted me and they said they are not responsible for connection at our location and transferred ticket to different internal team. This second team did not contact me until 3 days (all previous instances of Act installation) happened on the same day or early next day!

                                      By the time second team contacted, I am not available in city for 2 weeks. Instead of holding the request, they cancelled the request and said the amount will be refunded within 7 working days. About 15+ days later, nothing is still refunded.

                                      Third problem:
                                      Now, after I returned, I contacted ACT and they said that easiest and quickest way to get new connection is to go through verification and payment process again. I made a mistake trusting their words and paying 7600 amount again to get a new connection.

                                      This time, I have been promised that connection will be done next day and originally paid amount will be refunded the following day as well. But here I am. Even after 24 hours, paid Rs15000+ and still no connection.

                                      I am wondering if I had to struggle this much for new connection itself, how worse the support would be. Lots of miscommunication between internal teams and false promises at various levels, which are not good signs for a company to sustain. Until the payment is done, the things are moving in matter of minutes. After payment is done, I had to call at least 20 times to different teams and still trying to sort out the connection.

                                      It has been more than a month now, and despite multiple levels of customer support and sales members assuring the amount would be refunded, it still has not.

                                      WO[protected] is the one that is cancelled with incorrect information.
                                      Amount of Rs. 7682 is paid on 17 Aug 2022.

                                      But the work order is cancelled on 24 Aug 2022.

                                      Today is 22 September 2022, and till date the original amount paid, that is Rs. 7682 is not refunded. This is more than a month.

                                        The internet is constantly being gone. And everytime I raise a complain they take atleast 2-3 days to resolve. For a person working from home that is the biggest trouble to go through. And the frequency for lost connection is a week. That's how frequently I'm having network issues. And everytime I raise a ticket, the resolution time just gets increased gradually. At first they say that they'll resolve it in next 24hrs and then later I get a new notification saying the resolution time is extended to next day. Very bad service and bad customer support. I'm not complaining just over a single instance. This is my 5th network issue in just 6months span. It's almost like I have an issue atleast once a month.
