I purchased ACT internet plan on 4th Sep. 300MBPS plan for 6months (1 month Free).
1. I already have a Router but it is basic one. The Sales Executive and Installation guy said that we can try with the Router i have and if it is not upto the mark, I can raise a change request and instead of 1 Month Free they will give me a Free Router.

2. Also, if i am dissatisfied with the service there is a trial period within which i can cancel the plan and they reimburse the whole amount.

I am not getting proper speed. The speed i am getting is 3MBPS. Now when i asked them to provide me a Router instead of the Free Month, they are not accepting.
So, I am asking them to cancel the plan since it is only 1 day (Sep 5th), they are saying there is no option to cancel or no such thing called Trial period.

On top if it, when i asked the Customer Executive 'Shahjahan' to transfer the call to higher authority so that i can request, he is denying it and saying there is not process to cancel.

This is pure misselling by ACT

    I am using ACT Fibernet since 8+ years and never had such problems. Until now.

    First problem:
    I needed a transfer of connection to Bangalore from a different city where I am using ACT already. Despite being a leading internet services provider, they don't have ability to transfer a cnnection between cities.

    Second problem:
    I raised a new connection request and paid money for 6 months advance (which amounts to 7600+). Quick and smooth payment and online verification process. No problems until the money is paid.

    After payment, the connection installation went to an internal team. They contacted me and they said they are not responsible for connection at our location and transferred ticket to different internal team. This second team did not contact me until 3 days (all previous instances of Act installation) happened on the same day or early next day!

    By the time second team contacted, I am not available in city for 2 weeks. Instead of holding the request, they cancelled the request and said the amount will be refunded within 7 working days. About 15+ days later, nothing is still refunded.

    Third problem:
    Now, after I returned, I contacted ACT and they said that easiest and quickest way to get new connection is to go through verification and payment process again. I made a mistake trusting their words and paying 7600 amount again to get a new connection.

    This time, I have been promised that connection will be done next day and originally paid amount will be refunded the following day as well. But here I am. Even after 24 hours, paid Rs15000+ and still no connection.

    I am wondering if I had to struggle this much for new connection itself, how worse the support would be. Lots of miscommunication between internal teams and false promises at various levels, which are not good signs for a company to sustain. Until the payment is done, the things are moving in matter of minutes. After payment is done, I had to call at least 20 times to different teams and still trying to sort out the connection.

    It has been more than a month now, and despite multiple levels of customer support and sales members assuring the amount would be refunded, it still has not.

    WO[protected] is the one that is cancelled with incorrect information.
    Amount of Rs. 7682 is paid on 17 Aug 2022.

    But the work order is cancelled on 24 Aug 2022.

      Internet not working

      Internet was not working from Sep 2nd, have raised SR[protected] .After multiple calls and mails to Nodal officer got information like the below

      The internet is constantly being gone. And everytime I raise a complain they take atleast 2-3 days to resolve. For a person working from home that is the biggest trouble to go through. And the frequency for lost connection is a week. That's how frequently I'm having network issues. And everytime I raise a ticket, the resolution time just gets increased gradually. At first they say that they'll resolve it in next 24hrs and then later I get a new notification saying the resolution time is extended to next day. Very bad service and bad customer support. I'm not complaining just over a single instance. This is my 5th network issue in just 6months span. It's almost like I have an issue atleast once a month.

        Dear Sir/Madam,

        Here with Primotex Labels Pvt Ltd ordered for installation and which amount has paid through net banking to ACT Fibernet Ac No[protected], amount of Rs. 5027/- on 25th January 2022 which has cancelled from your end due to non service area. After that we have got refund message on 31st January 2022 with reference No SR[protected] committed by your end to get refund by 4 working days.

        As discuss held with your representative on today they said amount has refunded on 1st February 2022, but still we have not get it.

        Hence, we have shared our bank statement from January to till date lot of time with customer support through mail and whatsapp. Still they have not taken any action regarding same. Every month we are raising complaint regarding same.

          Hello

          This is regarding the issue with the power backup - user id :[[protected]]

          There is no power backup in the building for act internet. I dnt know where Act is taking power for their distribution box which is installed in our building.

          But i am loosing internet when the power goes out. I need a permanent solution for this. I do have backup at my home and my router is working even power goes off. I need a power back for ACT distribution box.

                Declining the request to downgrade my plan

                Hi Team,

                I took a connection with ACT fibernet - A max 1075 plan for 6 months this August 1st. I wanted to change the plan the day i took it and got in touch with the service provider (ACT Executive) on the same day.

                I was told, As the billing cycle has already started for the month of August, I was asked to wait for a month to change the plan to 40mbps where the plan would reflect from September start and...

                I have purchased router from act as the sales agent suggested but it is not working with other broadband, now I want to return it and get refund for it but they are not agreeing.my account number is :[protected]

                  My neighbour disconnected his service on Aug 16 2022 due to shifting. So I had agreed to place the junction box in my premises. Nd today is 28 Aug 2022, still there is no solution.. I've been calling there customer care daily atleast 3 times and they are saying it'll be resolved today (for the past 13 days) and their service persons are the worst in the world. Not even picking up the call for answering..only the complaint ticket which I raised gets postponed to the next daily. Fed up with your services act. and the email address you have provided regarding your nodal officer for TN is a joke

                    First, The complaint was raised for the problem " When power goes off - the broadband connectivity goes off immediately" . ACT opened a complaint ticket Number.SR[protected]. But without resolving the issue they sent Complaint Ticket Closure Message on 22 Aug 2022. After I took up with Support and then Nodal Officer, ACT again Complaint Ticket No..SR[protected] was registered and I was again assured that the complaint will be resolved within 25/08/2022. On 25/08/2022 there was a phone call from ACT staff claiming to be Mr. Srinivasan. He told that the complaint has been resolved. He told that the complaint has been resolved. He further told me to contact him in the number [protected]. Today morning (26/08/2022)I tried to ensure that the Broadband connectivity by switching off the Power Main.
                    Alas !!! Simultaneously the Broadband connection went off.??? I tried the above said number twice but there was no response at all. I am herewith attaching my Mail dated 26 08 2022 sent to Nodal Officer, ACT, Chennai as an image for ready reference. Fake closing of Complaint Tickets.

                        Refund request

                        I closed my act account they need to refund my money. From my side, I cleared everything thing submitted the ONT device. But still refund is not processed, it's been 15 days from the day of submitting the act fibernet devices. When I am trying to connect with customer care they are telling that it will be resolved in 48 hours but there is no progress from 17 days...

                        With transactions of rs. 4, 195.00 spent on card 7171

                        Transaction numbers: 506552

                        While Rs 4195 is adjusted for the new connection at my current account (3 months plan). I am yet to get the refund of rs 4195 spent on my citibank card. Please process the refund as soon as possible. I've been following up on this multiple times.

                        For both of them, I've paid Rs 4, 195 on 26th May'22. One of the account has been refunded to my existing account, while I am yet to get the refund for another.

                            I requested the order, After that, a million Act fibernet agents called for the plans. Everyone is like I called first you should take my offer and ignore others. Very unprofessional. I paid the order fee. They promised installation within 48 hours. I work from home, so it's really important for me. They never responded after that. It's been 6 days, I called them many times they simply say they raised the ticket. No use of it. I lost two working days, I took two unscheduled leaves. worst service ever.

                              I had installed a new connection in Act for a total of 5, 300 with the plan (ACT basic 6M + Router) in July 2022. On August, they sent payment notification and received a call to complete the payment. But I had paid for six months, so I opened a ticket for more clarification, but I never received a response.
                              After a few days, I called the toll-free number, and they informed me that static ip is charged.
                              However, I did not request a static IP address and was therefore unaware of its existence.
                              A few hours later, a service representative called to explain that they had added a free static IP address prior to the VPN problem.
                              The billing team has charged for the free static IP address.
                              I had continued to create the ticket, but the actual issue had not been resolved.
                              From the 15th to the 21st of August, internet service was very poor, with even Google pages taking a long time to load, and from the 21st to today, they suspended my connection.
                              They informed us on 22 August 18:44 that our account had been reactivated and that the billed amount would be refunded. They disconnected my connection again a few hours later due to an outstanding bill.
                              I sent emails to helpdesk.[protected]@actcorp.in and helpdesk.[protected]@actcorp.in, as well as raised a ticket via Quick Chat, my app, and calling customer service, but none of them resolved the issue.
                              If you are unable to resolve the issue, please refund my money and disconnect the connection and also please don't cheat the customers.

                                I paid for 6+1 months plan, i was facing a lot of network issues recently which is causing me a huge loss in my official work, hence I asked for disconnection, they disconnected it but they are not ready to refund my amount back to my account, when asking customer care, they are saying to transfer it to some other ACT account or use the amount whenever you reconnect your account, I request TRAI to please take strict action against ACT Fibernet to stop such irrational loot from consumers.
