I'm a 3g data user..my 3g data already expired 2 days ago but still i can use the service but with the lower speed without my credit being deducted..when i want to recharge the 3g data, the transaction always failed..what should i do to deactivate the service so that i can recharge the 3g data plan?

    I wanted to complain about the Airtel postpaid service. I registered a request to terminate my mobile connection as i had some signal issues and i was not satisfied by their service. I registered the complaint on 9th may for the same. They said i will get a call from their technical team and my number will be terminated. but they keep on calling me to convince me to not to cancel the connection. I am really frustrated with this and i just want my number to be terminated. The Service request no. is 50447045

    AirTel — not closing the connection

    i have taking a new connetion on 11/08/08 no is [protected] sim no is[protected] but it is still not ACTIVE so i visit the AIRLET borivali west branch THAT i want to take connetion i have visited 3 times but they are not able to solve the responce over their is very bad insted of the manager is saying that that we can not help you she is not redy to HELP to solve the problem so what should i do &

      Hello,

      I had registered for a new broadband connection from airtel in the Electronic City area last month. One of your representatives came to my house on the 17th of April and collected Rs. 500 from me as enrollment fees. They then informed me that they could not provide me with a connection and that my money will refunded before the end of April 2013. Then, last Tuesday (30th of April), I got a call from someone called Sekar (ph. [protected]) saying that the connection was available and that he had come to do the installation. I was travelling to Chennai then and I asked him to finish the installation and collect the money (for the wifi router) from me the next day. But he said that he can do the installation only if I paid him and that he will come back on Thursday. I called him on Thursday morning and he confirmed that he will come to my house at about 7 pm that day. But I waited for him till 9 pm and he never came and didnt answer my phone calls either. The same thing happened today as well and when asked when he will give me the connection, he said that he will not come for at least two more days.

      This is extremely unprofessional and irresponsible behaviour from Airtel. I have lodged numerous complaints since the 17th of April and so far nothing has happened. The people at the customer care services dont have a clue as to what is happening and they actually disconnected my call after asking me to wait.

      I understand that your services are in a lot of demand and that you dont really care about an individual problem like I have. If you cannot give me the connection, can you at least give me money back? What you have done to me over the past 3 weeks or so is nothing short of cheating.

      My airtel account number is [protected].

      I had sent a mail to the Nodal team a week ago and I still havent got the equipment and the installation has not been done yet. I had called the customer care and they informed me that the installation manager Manohar (Ph. [protected]) would call me and figure out when I will be comfortable to get the installation done. He never called me and after trying his number for almost 5 hours (why do your employees never answer calls??) I got through to him at 5.30 pm. I asked him if he could do the installation at 6.30 pm as I wouldnt reach home before that. He then asked one of his subordinates, Kiran (Ph. [protected]), to do the installation and he told me that he will come to my house at 7.15 pm. I then waited for him to come to my house, but he never did. I repeatedly called his mobile, but he had switched it off and Manohar didnt answer my calls either. Kiran finally came to my house at 10 pm and then told me, arrogantly, that he didnt have the necessary equipment to do the installation.

      Obviously, I still dont have a working broadband connection. This is appalling, considering the fact that I had paid for the connection almost a month ago. Is anything being done to inform your engineers on how to behave with the customers?

      I am still having problems with Kiran. He came to my house at 9.30 pm yesterday and did the installation and showed us the broadband speed on his laptop using an ethernet cable. We then asked him to show us the broadband speed using the wifi network. But he told us that his laptop battery had suddenly drained and that he didnt have a battery charger with him. We told him that we can pay him only after verifying the speed on the wifi network after which he talked to us in a threatening manner and uninstalled everything and took the equipment with him.

      This has been an extremely unpleasant experience for me and I have had enough of your so-called services. Please cancel my enrollment and refund the money (Rs. 500) I had paid, as soon as possible.

      Airtel Broadband — Installation Money

      I fillup a form for Airtel Broadband connection at my house in pahar ganj on 22/01/2010 and gave Rs. 1947/- Cash to the Executive comining from Airtel. After 2 days a call came and he said to me that there is No Visibility in my Area and your money will be refunded in 25 days.

      But my money yet not refunded by the Airtel.

        Hi,

        I am using broad band internet connection of Airtel company . Every thing was working till yesterday . But today phone was dead and internet stopped working . After 6-8 hours phone started working and internet as well . Unfortunately 80 % sites ( including yahoo.com , facebook.com and many more ) can't accessible after this , while we can access those sites using other network / connections .

        After facing this issue whole day when I called customer care[protected] . in first call their executive kept me on hold for 30 + minutes .

        I disconnected call and tried again this time I got executive but he told me if google and youtube is working every thing is okay we can't help you with specific sites even those are all . if a single site ( google ) is working . We can't help you at all .

        I have asked several times executive to help me out as this kind of issue happened to me few years ago as well and airtel helped me that just for a single site .

        Please advice me what to do now ?

        AirTel — Internet connection not working

        Airtel — braodband coonection not working properly

        My broad band connection is not woking properly and i loose the connection very often, while using broadband. Moreover i am not getting the requisite speed as according to my plan. It is at his worst. please do ensure its repairing or i will be compelled to surrender my broadband connection.

        i have taken airtel brfore 1 week this is the worst network that i have ever seen, the signal is not at all good in this network and they are telling to wait for one month to get uninterrupted network connection. and the mobile office is also not good in connecting internet in my mobile. and after activation of sim they are sending message that my proof that i given was not enough. this thing they should look before the activation of this sim. hereafter i never ever use this useless network in my life

        i am user of bsnl phone number i.e 2481727 for the last more tahn 20 years and using your broadband services for the last 2 years. i had been lodged more than 10 complaints with your department in last 3 months and every time they used to gave me these two mobile number to contact which are 2000867and [protected] and both these numbers arre always not reachable specially in working hours which you can also try at any time. Till today my complaint is pending and nobody bothers to check the same. So my humble request is to contact the concerned person and asked why their phone is not reachable and why they are not looking into my complaints.

        Airtel — Frustrated with the internet services,not working properly.

        I'm highly pissed off with AIRTEL'S broadband service. Internet is not working properly,every now and then i make calls in the customer care department and instead of helping me in context to the same matter their executives are not ready to listen some times they just misbehave and hang up the call. I'm highly dissatisfied with their services. I request to the authority to please help me for the same as soon as possible.

        Hi,

        This email is with regards to complaint number 33839146 lodged by me on June 14, 2010. This complaint is regarding my Airtel internet connection which is not working since the last 4 days. I have been repeatedly calling up Airtel Customer Care and each time I am given a false assurance that someone from Airtel will attend to the problem shortly and it will be resolved within 2-4 hours.

        It is the same case today as well. I had called up in the morning and spoken to Airtel Customer Care. I have been given an assurance that the problem will be resolved within 4 hours. 4 hours have elapsed but I am still not getting the internet connectivity at my place.

        Please let me know the escalation path so that I can escalate this case to the appropriate level. This kind o[censored]nprofessional behavior was not expected out of a reputed organization like Airtel.

        Airtel should take this case on priority and resolve the issue immediately.

        Airtel Broadband Connection — Not working

        Dear Sir ,

        This is regarding AC 15553255 for an Airtel Broadband connection.

        I had been repeatedly asking for last five months about net connection. But beyond my complaints raised the connection was never restored but Bill used to be Raised always.

        It is really heartnening to see Company like airtel is not worried ab services but about charging customers unwantedly.

        Three months back I told your people to disconnect the connection and Pay back my security amount of 1500.

        Till that day I am only called for bills , which has now gone for 2 months o[censored]nused services to 5 months and that too because of delay from your side.

        This ispurely humiliation the way your people call and expect the customer to be fool . They say to pay some money and close it.

        I will request you to look at my compaint and seek a solution.

        1. Am getting unwanted calls even after i registered do not disturb menu.
        2. If i register any sort of complaint in 198 then for the next 2 to 3 weeks cal to 198 is not connecting.
        3. There is no proper response from customer care executives.
        4. Deducting my balance for the unwanted services. No refund they are giving even i tell that i doesnt used that sort of applications.
        5. I registered for network change (i.e. PORT). The very next day airtel customer care executive called & told that they will activate some low tariff plan for my no but no such plan activated.

          I purchased an Airtel DTH connection in March 2013, but my STB had some technical fault within 2 months of purchase. When i called the customer care the provided me the services within 2 hours, but they replaced my new STB with an old repaired model, which i think Airtel does not provide anymore. When the company charges for new STB and Dish, they ought to provide new models, and if it has some faults, the company should be responsible to replace the faulty model by new model, and not by any outdated, repaired one. please response.

            I have requested for Black Berry services two days back on my mobile [protected] on 121 facility from my Airtel connection. After several minutes of transferring call this person number to that number, one lady informed to contact next day morning. Again ystrday morning, i..e.13 May 13, I have contacted for which the reply was to sent a mail as it is corporate CUG connection. Yes my IT admin has sent a mail to activate BB service on my mobile ystrday. It was informed that within 4 hours it will be activated.

            Today till 6.25 pm nothing happened and everytime we make a call, the stock reply was pl wait for 4 hours. Ulltimately, at 6.15 pm when I again contacted through 121 one Mr Susheel informed that the technical department has not received any mail from CUG department of AIRTEL.

            It is nothing but killing time by AIRTEL officials and When I wished to speak to NODAL Officer, nobody is picking that number and the response is "Due to Technical reasons this phone is not working for now".

            Could somebody inform the status as I am a CEO and will get and needs to respond atleast 50 e-mails for which I am taking this connection.

            REALLY A MOST DISGUSTING EXPERIENCE WITH AIRTEL. SOME RESPONSE PL. EVEN IF AIRTEL OFFICIAL SAYS IT IS NOT POSSIBLE IT IS OK, SO THAT WE CAN FOR OTHER PROVIDER. BUT ANSWER WE WANT PL.

            I have registered for Blackberry service on my mobile phone [protected] by sending SMS < airtelbb > to 121 and done the procedures as they have directed. The instant activation is offered in their website and I've been waiting still for its confirmation.

            I appeal the concerned persons to look into this matter and resolve the issue. I've sent the email to [protected]@airtelindia.com and got an automated reply offering the settlement in 24 hours. I have seen the same problems facing by others also. I do not understand why they offer this service instantly through their websites.

            Dear Mr. Rakesh Ranga,

            My issue was solved automatically when I again tried to register the BB services after a day. My need was only for a week, and I'm back to the place where I've been deputed now for my official duties.

            I was getting messages from AIRTEL that my blackberry device was not compatible for the services, even 7 days after my problem was solved. It was through the sms from an origin that I could not reply ot contact the concerned person. Nobody from airtel could resolve my problem or nobody had contacted me to hear what problem I was facing. I'm really sad with the support you are offering to your cutsomers who pay for your services. What is the benefit for a customer, if you send the sms with an origin that the recipient can never call, or send back a reply? I'm also the part of a company that serves thousands of customers.

            Anyhow, thank you for responding to my concerns, even though via a third party provider.

                I called up 12150 to order Airtel DTH. they asked me to pay online, which i did at 11:10 AM on 12th may 2013. No body has ever responded back to me till now. They said it will be done within sometime.

                I have called 12150 atleast 50-60 times but getting no where they dont have any proper answer. They are also not returning my Money.

                They have just screwed up. I have all the evidences of the statements made above.

                  I have recharged with 10 GB pack of 3G but i am getting speed of 77-82 Kbps at max from 2nd May 2013. Had given complaint to customer care centre on 121 numerous times, even i received call from their end that the problem is resolved, but still speed is same, finally they told me to change handset( i am using Nokia N-8, and had been using 3G from Oct 2012). I used sim in samsung galaxy but was getting same speed, went to nokia care centre also, there they checked my mobile and told it was not in fault.

                  Already 12 days of numerous complaints have not given the result, feels frustrated with the quality of technical support provided by Airtel.

                  Hope to hear from your team soon and getting my problem resolved.

                    This is to notify that as per my previous complaint raised against the internet speed of 2g Airtel for the pack of Rs 149 the has not been any satisfactory feedback from airtel.The executives had been asking for time to resolve the problems and latr on the day of the resolution they are speaking nonsense like how are you using 3g on your 2g net pack this and that.The main thing is that they have been killing my time from 8th of this month and the problem that i am facing is not resolved.My problem is that airtel terms and conditon says after 2gb consumtion of data they are to provide a speed upto 40kbps,but i am only receiving the speed of 1-2 kbps and sometime 2-5kbps.

                    After long waiting as i have not got any resolution to the problem stated on 8th of may i went to AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE office at SAIMILE GUWAHATI.There i had a chat with the senior supervisor named Mrs SANJAY TALUKDAR,this man is so rubbish he being a manager doesnt even know how to talk to his client.He without giving us any feedback on our issue says "Y dont u shift to 3G Plans".I replied Perhaps it would have been possible to pay the rate of 3G i would have surely done that so as i can pay only for 2g i am presently using that.
                    After a long conversation he left us behind asking some of his junior name PRITAM to handle the matter.The Manager behaviour is so ill that he has forced us to belive that for the amount we pay we shall get only 1-2kbps.My question is if they cannot provide the speed why do they mention is so in their palns.Being having so much of harrasment already before this man is again speakinG rubbish.


                    I would be helpful if you strictly look into the depth of this matter and take a positive step to solve this problem as soon possible or else ask airtel to refund our amount of Rs 149.

                    AirTel — regarding speed of the internet

                    i'm using airtel broadband of 512 kbps nearly 1 1/2 years and i'm not satisfied with the speed given by the airtel... the downloading speed should be around 100 kbps something but i'm geeting only 40 kbps... please give me solution for this matter,, broadband speed which i'm using is just like a dial up connection...............

                      Hi,
                      I am sharing my bad experience of the airtel 2G unlimited plan in Maharashtra. My airtel number is [protected].

                      I had enabled airtel 2G plan of Rs199 which offers unlimited 2G data for 30 days. This was done through online recharge on 22nd April. The plan was valid till 20th May. The fair usage data of 2GB ended on 12th May, after which the speed should have reduced but free data usage should have continued.
                      However, I could see that my balance had suddenly dropped from Rs90+ to Rs49. I kept browsing on the 2G plan to check whether my main balance was getting deducted due to 2G usage, and found that balance kept dropping. I finally stopped usage when my balance got reduced to Rs34.
                      That is despite an unlimited plan, my balance still got reduced by atleast 55Rs.
                      On talking with customer care, an executive told me that the plan of 199Rs had been cancelled on 27th March. He told me to go for a plan of Rs 149. When I insisted that the online recharge site of airtel has this plan, he transferred me to his senior who heard my complaint, took time to understand it and agreed that balance was wrongly deducted. He said that they will check the details and refund the appropriate amount back.
                      I'll be happy when this complaint gets resolved. However, I am still disappointed by this occurrence. My concerns here are:
                      a. How Airtel has not ensured that it sticks to the parameters of its plan and delivers as promised.
                      b. Why Airtel does not monitor for such incidents proactively? Does it hope to make its profits by cheating customers unless they are vigilant?
                      c. Customer care executives at lower level are unaware of Airtel plan details and are misinforming customers blatantly.

                      Incidents such as these have led me to consider switching to other service providers.

                        I am writing this complaint against Airtel to bring this cheating to your knowledge that they are constantly stealing money from my Airtel prepaid account i.e. 50 Rs. on 11 May 2013 and 150 Rs. on 12 May 2013. This might happen to all of you also, so please track your account through *123# for prepaid clients. My Airtel prepaid number is [protected] and it belongs to Delhi NCR.

                        When I called their customer care they started giving silly excuses and told me to call afterwards. When I called again they didn't pick up my phone. Now I am switching to another operator for tackeling this cheat organization which steals money.

                          My name is Jeevan Kumar and I was using Airtel Broadband Internet at [protected] landline number. I requested to disconnect the connection on 23th Feb 2013 and my request id is 29139146 and I got an confirm intimation from Airtel customer care that it will take minimum one week to disconnect the connection.

                          Today on 13 May 2013 I am getting a copy of e-bill amount 379/- which is unexpected as I have paid the my due amount worthing 2935/-. I called Airtel customer care to resolve the dispute and got a reply that I have requested to continue the service on same number on 28th feb 2013.

                          I want the report against Airtel customer care about giving false information and not updating consumers requests in there database. It is very unfortunate for me to comment against company like airtel that they have very poor customer care service.

                          Airtel — Billing after close the account

                          I had Airtel mobile connection [protected]. That was a corporate connection with IBM. I requested for stop service and did couple of mail communication. At last account closed when vist Airtel counter at Indiranagar, Bangalore. As per advice I had paid the unbilled amount and close the acount. Same i have confirm over phone with customer care (121). Also send couple of mail to confirm the account status and they mentioned account closed permanently. In those mail Airtel dosen't mention any due ammount. After these formality I leave the country and now sattled in Belgium. All of sudden after almost 3 months Airtel send a demand notice for Rs 2453.07. Please note I am not in same assignment and that connection was not for personal use. So who will pay? Why Airtel close account if there was pending ammount (beleive there was no due)? Why customercare not aware me before the due ammount if there is? Why my internet account not showing any due ammount? I will not pay any ammount, please advice.

                          Airtel Broadband — Generating bills after submitting for closing the account

                          Hi,

                          I put the request to shift my broadband to on last week on Nov 2009 for 30/11/2009.

                          After a week when I call to customer care at 121 I came to know that there is no network in that area and then itself I confirmed to close he account. Customer care told me that he put the note and my connection will be closed.
                          On 14'th Dec I received a call from Airtel about the connection and then too I confirmed him to close the account. I received inflated bill of whole billing cycle.
                          I visited sec 57, noida office and met with help desk there She told me that on till 14'th I have to pay as the confirmation was given on 14'th Dec 2009.
                          I paid the bill thinking that it will close the account.
                          But I again received the bill of Dec billing Cycle.

                          I informed again called to customer care and written too. I again received the reply with new ticket ID for closer.
                          I called customer care again he is not giving any info.
                          I am feeling harassed and cheated.

                          Please do let me know what are my options.

                          Airtel — Being billed even after connection closed

                          Hi,

                          I used to have a Airtel broadband connection with number [protected] and customer id: 16114329. I gave in a request for cancellation of this connection on 21/09/2011 with request number 4428136. But still I am being charged ridiculously every month for Rs 386.05. I called in customer care to settle this and it has happened again. In my airtel profile(when I login into the airtel website), I still see the telephone and the DSL connection as active. I paid all my dues and I am still being billed.

                            They have closed my prepaid account, but not activated my post paid account even after two days. Also I online recharged with Rs 105(txn id 448006), but the cell was not recharged with that amount. When I tried to contact [protected],121 &198. nobody is responding.

                              Sir my name is saif and my company name is Anthem Realty and investments Pvt.Ltd,
                              We recently planned to buy a airtel leased line of 4mbps.
                              I filled out an online application form for the connection from airtel.in.

                              After a weak a representative has come to my office with the list of documents i need to provide.
                              I took 5 days to arrange the documents and the check of Rs 71,610. Every day he was calling me like about 5 to 6 time for the Cheque.

                              Now its been 13 days now i have submitted the cheque not the account manager is not picking up the call.
                              I have submitted the cheque in the name of BHARTI AIRTEL LTD.

                              Its a terrible experience with airtel . Is there any one who can resolve this issue,

                                I dropped Airtel DTH(UID [protected]) because they changed my plan without informing me. So I decided to drop Airtel DTH and it has been dropped 6 months ago. But still I am receiving SMS and called for addition of channels daily. I reported multiple times by person and customer care but no use. Can anyone tell me, where/how to stop these kind of calls/SMS

                                Today Also I received SMS from airtel to recharge my AIRTEL DTH account. I have submitted the necessary document six days back and Mr.Ankur called me and informed that it will be stopped 48 Hrs. But still I am receiving SMS and calls too.

                                  My name is kamal kant and using airtel number [protected] since the past 2 years. I use a blackberry handset. Since the past one month airtel Has been deducting my balance when I surf the Internet even when I continuously pay for blackberry Internet service, which is again costly not to mention.

                                  I have called the customer care executives and lodged several complaints to them regarding and they assure me it won't happen again every time I call but they deduct my main balance again. Half of the times they hang up my call or put it on hold and don't pick up again. .

                                  I have lost more than 600 rupees in this and the airtel people are not even returning my balance.

                                  I am already paying a handsome amount for the blackberry Internet services and over that they keep deducting my balance. This is pure harassment. Please help

                                      AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Poor Service and Response

                                      I am unable to add a new package in my account. They say the account is not active but I am able to watch the channels. They re-installed the connection in a new location after that they the account is not active. They have taken Rs.600/- from my account and they the account is not active. I have spoken with the Manager of the Call center of the Digital TV. He promised me the service will be active with in 2 days but even after 10 days they say its not active. The same manager has also promised that he will call me back with in 2 days. But he never kept his promise.

                                      I had recevied a massage on 8 nov 08, saying that all my std calls will be charged Rs 1/min. but when I called on std nos. they charged Rs 1.5/min. Then i Went to customer care for the same they listen & added the extra charged amount to my mobile balance & said the service will be activated soon. but this service is still not activated. I had talked to the customer care several time regarding this but they don't respond to this, even they cut the phone, while they can say that they can't solve it or forward to seniors.

                                      AirTel — Poor customer response

                                      I have been an airtel customer since 1999. In 2003, I took up their offer of 'lifetime connection' paying a whopping Rs.999 then. After migrating to UK, I used to use this connection intermittently. In 2007, I realized the connection was deactivated. On my immediate trip to India, I visited the Bannerghatta road where my request was met with a pathetic front desk. After several communication including copies to Mittal, the chairman and reminders by email and phone calls from India and UK, finally one of the nodal officer agreed to issue the number to my cousin, so I can still hold the SIM. I hold this SIM card and continually have flushed money into this SIM. However for whatsoever reason not known to me, I can never make outgoing calls. I could sent text messages. After this realisation, my cousin and I have sent out at least 30 communication to customer care, nodal officers, appellate officer. Besides the automated email, we have had zero response. A message

                                      We tried contacting Amrita Gangotra, via email and social media with a responsible officer as her who is at the helm of affairs refusing to connect.

                                      The AIRTEL customer relations have become so very structural and pathetic, it has bottomed out to the worst possible mobile service provider ever I have come across. It clearly reflects as to how much we Indians can be treated to bureaucracy and cheating by such providers. Standard email responses without any customizations, irresponsive staff right from bottom-line to the top. My personal opinion is that one must try other service providers who spent much less on Advertisements and focuses on quality people to interact with customers to cater to their needs. I am big follower of Shah Rukh Khan, but pity that he is not aware as to what his image is up against recommending a brand that stands to me for structural bureaucracy and holds a penchant to harass customers. Should India have had a number migration, I would have been moving this number to other suitable providers.

                                      Airtel DTH — Poor Response

                                      Hi

                                      This is Mahesh here. I got a situation.
                                      For past 1.8 years i am using Airtel DTH i got a issue with signal so raised a request and could not be resolved, complained of an issue with the Clamp in the reciever. Since that was an old version of DTH they said " they dont have the clamp entire DTH has to be changed" this was fair enough.

                                      I got a new package this guys tried installing it couldnt get proper signal and complained of the wiring issue and installed a new wire. He tried something to get it work temporarily and the signal goes down intermittently its freaking me out to reach to customer care. Other than raising the compliant request number i don't see any action in this regards. Some Please help in this regard on how to raise the complaint to a manager. Customer support executive is cutting the call when i ask for a manager.

                                      Please help me registering a complaint. I am completely pissed with this issue.
                                      I am without a connection for more than a week.
                                      I have opted 2nd time for Airtel DTH for their customer service but you guys are proving it wrong.

                                      AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Awful service

                                      I have Airtel Digital TV connection(id no. [protected]) for the past 8 months and have been recharging online every time before time always for maintaining the connection. However, for the last two times
                                      even though I recharged well before expiry, I kept getting sms from Airtel suggesting that my connection would be disconnected. Called up customer care (which is again difficult to get through!) and explained the issue. The first executive was adamant and wanted my debit card number even when I kept on insisting that it was a netbanking transaction and I gave him the transaction ID. Call got disconnected and the next executive was better and I was told that the complaint has been raised and it was a glitch in the software that probably did not update the info. Problem was resolved but recurred again the next time. My expiry date was 22nd march and I recharged with Rs300 on 18th March but still I started getting sms from Airtel. Initially, I ignored thinking that it might be the same software glitch problem however the sms continued and I called up the cutomer care number. It was hell getting through that number. had to wait for 15 minutes to talk to an executive. Again explained him the situation and was given the same response that it is a software glitch and that I should not worry. But alas on 24th march my connection was discontinued!!!!!!!!
                                      I have decided to get away with airtel digital TV and would advise others not to venture into it as well. They spend lot of money on filmstars for promoting their product, it would have been better if they spent the money on better software and product !!!

                                      AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Poor Product & Worst Service

                                      I've bought 2 Airtel DTH connections in hope that I'll be able to view good quality TV. These are bunch of crooks. There have been problems since starting and it is the worst service provider. I've faced so many problems with Airtel DTH that i can write a complete book on it. Here are the details:

                                      1) Installation time provided 24 hrs. Installed after 5 days due poor internal coordination
                                      2) Everytime there is some wind the dish stop getting signals from satellite and TV is down for 24 hrs.
                                      3) Customer care gives 24 hrs time for complaint to be attended and they appear after 48 hrs.
                                      4) May 21st i registered a complaint, a message came that engineer will visit tomorrow before 2 pm while the engineer did not come and I received the message that your complaint has been resolved while DTH was still dead. I had to register the complaint again and it got attended to after another 24 hrs.
                                      5) Yesterday there was some heavy wind and my TV is dead since then, called up the customer care yesterday and as usual the server is down we can't register the complaint. Called up today and the response is that we'll attend to your complaint after 24 hrs.

                                      Worst service Airtel DTH, Product Airtel DTH. Third class customer service Airtel DTH.

                                      AirTel — Poor Response/Service

                                      It is amazing how Airtel still survives. I lodged a complaint on 14th May and again on 16th May as well as after two weeks on 31st May that my landline cum broadband is not working. Amazing customer services which hitherto unheard of was doing the rouns assuring"Give us one more day", "Give us one more chance",etc,. and I visited their Indira Nagar Office near the Footbridge. Amazing scenes witnessed at the queue of Broadband/Landline with atleast a dozen customers with similar complaints. Each one asking they wanted to see the Manager. The lady at the counter was helpless and to add insult to injury, their Manager-Ms.Barkha comes peeping out every five minutes and whispers to the counter to get rid of the customers as soon as possible with little attempt even to care for the horrible situation faced by Airtel customers. Such is the state of affairs of Airtel and I finally cancelled my landline and went for another subscriber telecom company.
                                      My advice to one and all- "Once upon a time there was Airtel but not any more as it is HellTell"

                                      On 26th june i have requested to migrate to have movies now activated in my channels; for migration possibility i have confirmed my availability on week ends (saturday & sunday). but nothing got shaped up. finally i was forced to withdraw my request on movies now.

                                      With no prior information on 16th Aug 2011; an service engineer arrives my resd & in presence of my wife he got the migration thing done; whle he left we found that only 3-4 channels were active while almost all the channels were not Working error NO SIGNAL = B001

                                      Complaint was filed and was assured to get this complaingt resolved by 3:30 pm on 17th Aug 2011.

                                      On 17th Aug 2011; NO SOLUTION
                                      A message was made to my registered mobile reading as problem resolved; but nothing happened. On checking with the customer service desk i was told as wrong mobile number and wrong adress. I have crosschecked the same with the dealer M/s Hitech and find that my resd at GT road Sahibabad is not a part of his execution territory. this was again updated to the customer care supervisor.with a complaint on the dealer too.
                                      Again it was comitted that the problem will be resolved by 3:30 on 18th Aug 2011.

                                      Bharti Airtel — Poor response and service

                                      My Airtel number is [protected].

                                      Paid Rs 98 for GPRS connectivity on June 21. The service did not get activated inspite of calls to 121, 198, 12118 and mails to [protected]@in.airtel.com and messages to 52212, 543210.

                                      The mail response was to seek time upto June 29 to do the required setting on Airtel side for activation of the service which should have been automatic on payment of the fee!

                                      Two vists to the Airtel Shop in Banjara Hills where I paid the amount were also unhelpful.

                                      Finally, after many misdirections from 198 and 121 a supervisor resolved the very simple issue by taking approipriate action. A simple matter required hours of effort spread over two days!

                                        Hi, I had asked Airtel to disconnect the connection on 11th Oct 2012 because I was not in India since 11th October 2012 and I'd sent email for discontinuation on the same date to [protected]@airtel.in. I did not got any mail failure when I sent the email hence I assumed the email was correct and also I was using [protected]@airtel.in for all communications till then.

                                        I only realized your email got changed (Please note I was never intimated of the change anytime) when I sent another email on 22nd December 2012 to [protected]@airtel.in asking for clarification as to why the bills are generated when I already sent email for discontinuation on 11th October itself from my email Id (which is registered in my account profile) rahul.[protected]@yahoo.com.

                                        From that period I'm constantly getting reminder emails and despite of asking to call me to clarify/settle the issue no one has called and for every reminder email I have sent my clarification each time.

                                        Recently I got another email of threating me to take legal action against me. I'm asked to pay for the services I never used and for which I contacted Airtel to disconnect.

                                        I would really appreciate if I could receive some assistance in taking this complaint forward and stopping such harassment from happening in future.

                                        Airtel Broadband — Incorrect Billing

                                        Hello All,

                                        I had requested for a Airtel 555 Broadband plan. This was provided at my residence on 29th Dec 2008. I have very limited use of broadband .. Inspite of limited use I have been billed Rs 3746 as unbilled usuage charges. On complaining to the customer service desk @ Airtel I did not find a sympathetic listening from the supervisor. She put the onus squarely on me to prove the fraud and misuse. In frustation merely 2 weeks after subscribing to Airtel Service I have requested discontinuation and will be filing a case againt the company in court
                                        We have been using airtel broadband connection for the past 5 years. We used to get bill in the range of 1500/- to 3500/-. Last month to our shock we received a bill for 51, 858/- which is exorbitantly high. We launched a complaint on 22nd June, 2009(Complaint no.[protected] and informed the customer care that there is some mistake at their end we know for sure our usage and our downloads are also limited. The issue has not been sorted out till date.

                                        I Jagdeep Shokeen r o H.N. 3642 Sector 23 Gurgaon is using Airtel Broadband for last 1 year.

                                        I was using Rs 250 combo plan with night top up. In first week of july I requested for plan change to Rs 899 unlimited. I have been promised that speed in my new plan is equivalent to my previous plan but I found out that was not the case. So I requested for my previous plan (250 Combo + night top up) to be re-activated.

                                        In second week of july I got the confirmation that my previous plan is reactivated.

                                        now when I get july bill it is around Rs 10 000. Charging is done without any top ups and free time.

                                        This is highly unjustified.

                                        I was using 128 kbps with unlimited download with Rs 599/- plan.

                                        But at the monthend while i was calling to customer care to pay the mothly rental fee, that pepole said that You are in Rs799/- plan how is it possible.You pepole are automatically entry the Rs 799/-plan without my information.Means You are cheating the customers.

                                        And second thing is my landline bill is Rs1800/-.Its totally impossible.As i am single user, i didnt call this much amount as per my knowledge and also when i was checking my landline without i call toa ny number the landline bill is increasing.Why this problem is occuring.And i also give complaing to customercare in the middle of the month they said dont give complain now, at the moth end give complain to us.At the month end i came to know my bill is Rs1800/-.So what should i do.Really i am dissatisfied with airtel service .I didnt expect this from airtel.

                                        Please i am requesting to do verification for my internet speed and also landline bill as soon as possible.

                                        This is highly unjustified.

                                        Airtel — Unjustified Rent

                                        I had an Airtel Internet connection.I asked for a yly bill as against the mthy. During the period the service was very poor hence requested to convert into mthy or disconnect the service.They disconnected the service & now after 6 months they are asking us to pay rent for the entire yr for the service we have not used,They are telling that as per policy we are suppose to pay for the yr & if we disconnect no refund.Require your help in knowing whether actually we are suppose to pay for the yr for the service we have not used.We are being harassed with legal notice.

                                        Airtel Broadband — Harrassment by Airtel

                                        I have a Airtel number[protected].This is to inform that i was billed for Rs. 1550 which was paid on 16 September'09 through online transfer.Errouneously it was transfered to[protected]it was typo error). I have informed Airtel the same date and till date we have made more than 20 calls to reverse the entry..We are also ready to provide bank statement as proof which would reflect the amount debited from my Wife's account (Rashi Sinha). but its in vain. Airtel helpline number always provide a new complaint number but no resolution. Each time we call they inform that the problem would be resolved and amount would be credited within two days but its been more than one and half month and amount has not been credited back. Now their collection agency is harrasing that they will disconnect our line if payment is not made for the month of October'09. My question is wht kind of service Airtel go gango about when they cannot even resolve simple issue. Would request strict action against them..one reference number provided by them is 24424280..there are many more reference number which can be provided on request.
                                        I had a broadband connection (my account No.[protected] and requested for safe custody on 24 February 2010 and gave request for cancellation of the connection on 26 April 2010. There were no dues from my side to Airtel. (I have all the bills and receipts ever since I took the broadband connection). However on 11th october while I was travelling, I received a call from a Lawyer Sadhana Koushik (Mobile No. [protected]) as well Mr. Rajvir Singh from Tis Hazari Court (Mobile No. [protected]) from Delhi to immediately pay airtel Rs. 60,000/- in their nearest office or else be prepared to get arrested and we are sending papers to Secunderabad Court.
                                        Ever since the above episode, I tried calling airtel(Nodal officers, appelate authority through their telephone Nos.[protected] and[protected] but gets no response and could not get connectivity to the so called officials who are supposed to be available for clarifications.
                                        I would also like to highlight here that there are numerous e-mail correspondence on this and none of them are able to give me a satisfactory reply.

                                        I hope atleast through this forum airtel will be able to sort my issues at the earliest and will allow me to live peacefully. I has undergone bypass surgery and this agony created by airtel is causing me severe depression and sleepless nights.

                                        Several complaints on Airtel Broadband.

                                        Airtel representatives do not take note of all requests.
                                        Reference numbers were issued only for change in plan but not for disconnection.
                                        Paper Bills suddenly changed to e-bill without my consent ( and sent to wrong id inspite of repeated corrections).
                                        Aitel was to revert with clarification of bills( bills more than Rs300 of the agreed on plan per month ). But since they did not get back on time i am billed for two extra months. The reason their executives have not taken down my cancellation request. Then i have to pay for an additional month as Airtel needs 7 working days to cut the connection.
                                        And while i wait for them to revert recovery agents harrass me every day. Issue notices. Threaten to take me to Lok Adalat!
                                        What does Airtel take us customers for. Can we not be treated better? Would appreciate help to get this attitude of airtel stopped.

                                        My grievance here is that neither till date my connection has not been disconnected nor my bill genration/rental has stopped.
                                        Till date the same has compounded to Rs 3044.

                                        Why should I pay for not using it since 6 Dec 2010 when I was assured that my rental has been stopped?

                                        My name is Srivatsa MR, and I am a resident of Bangalore. My mobile number is [protected]
                                        I have been facing problems regarding billing and payment from Airtel.
                                        Airtel has been regularly calling and sending me sms and email reminders to make a bill payment. However, I have repeatedly pointed out to them that the amount mentioned in the bill (Rs. 1424) is different from the amount they have asked me (Rs. 1774).
                                        The problem is that the bill they have issued does not have full details. How can I pay without first receiving a bill that has all details of total amount to be paid?
                                        I have already expressed my readiness to pay if the correct bill amount is furnished.
                                        I have repeatedly asked them to understand this problem, but they have made NO efforts to do so.
                                        Further, they stopped outgoing calls and sms from my number yesterday (June 13, 2011), which has severely affected my freedom to conduct my professional duties in a normal manner.
                                        Despite my repeated request to them to call me and talk to me, there has been no such effort.
                                        Airtel must apologize for causing trouble and inconvenience to me and for harassing me with payment demands. Further, adequate compensation should be considered for cutting off normal services to my number, which adversely affected my freedom to do my work.

                                        I am sorry to inform you that absolutely nothing has been done by Airtel to resolve this issue and make me feel that I am really a valued customer.
                                        The only thing I have received over email is a standard apology mail.

                                        Do you have any idea what is the extent of trouble and loss I have had to go through because Airtel suspended my outgoing services WITHOUT prior notice? And all this due to NO fault of mine!
                                        It was Airtel that first issued a wrong bill, which prevented me from making payment.

                                        And again today (June 21st), outgoing services to my number have AGAIN been suspended. Again, this has been done for no reason, and without any prior notice.

                                        The only thing that Airtel offered to me was a waiver of late payment charges, which I wasnt supposed to pay anyway because the whole fault lay with Airtel.
                                        Then, there was no effort from your side to even find out if I was satisfied with your half-hearted effort to make amends.

                                        And without confirming all this, you have again suspended outgoing services to my number.

                                        So, right now, I can only receive calls and smses.

                                        On what basis are you telling me that my concern dated 14th June 2011 has been resolved?
                                        I refuse to accept that it has been resolved.

                                        AirTel — Airtel broadband-wrong bill and harrassment

                                        Dear sir/Ma'am,

                                        This is with respect to the broadband connection which we had taken from airtel in the end of march.

                                        Starting: 23rd march 2011

                                        Plan requested for : Unlimited

                                        The plan given was: impatience 799 with 2mbps of speed, and free dsl limit of 5gb - stating that there is not much difference in download limit, but speed was much better with the Impatience and that for our requirement this plan was ideal.

                                        And the airtel representative helping me said that this plan was enough for daily 1-2 hours of internet browsing not involving regular downloads and we could always switch to unlimited plan but speed was not good in unlimited plan, taking an advance rental of rs.799 from us.
                                        When we asked for a receipt for the modem they said it is not issued and they refused to give any receipt. Later I found that airtel is issuing illegal modems!

                                        for the first 15 days of normal usage (1 hour daily of checking mails and social networking websites) they sent a bill of rs.4802! also the speed was extremely poor! when we asked them to justify the bill they said that even if you check mails it takes up to 2 gb per day! we are not technical people and trust the representative to give the right information. When we asked the representative about the ideal plan he should have told us that even mails use a lot o[censored]nits instead he misguided us.

                                        Also they never issued us a detailed bill in time so we could verify this.

                                        Then we immediately put in a request for change in plan and opted for an unlimited plan. They assured us the change will be done asap. We continue to use our internet assured that now no fraud can happen. At the end of the billing cycle they sent a bill of rs. 10,463! stating the previous balance and current month's usage. When we checked on the plan it had still not been changed!

                                        also they disconnected our connection without a proper resolution. We kept trying to get help to resolve it but to no avail. How do we as consumers prove that the airtel people are issuing escalated bills? how do we prove we DID not use as many units as quoted in the bill. While we are not very adept at telecom technology, basic knowledge refuses to believe that checking e-mails and social networking can cost so much! if that were the case the telecom companies would never make profits with unlimited plans, public browsing cafes would not be so cheap!

                                        to add to this different people from the airtel department started harrassing us without giving a proper resolution. Recently one man tried to force himself inside our house, and started threatening us over the phone.

                                        We have no problems in paying the correct amount if it is just and proper resolution is given.

                                        Telecom companies are misusing the system and also resorting to illegal means.

                                        This company issued a modem to us with no registration papers, receipt whatsoever!

                                        please help us in resolving this as airtel people have resorted to harrassment.

                                        Bharti Airtel — Mental Harrassment

                                        Need to file a consumer case against Airtel Broadband.

                                        In April 2011, we shifted from BTM to HSR layout. We lodged a request to transfer the land line and broadband connection to our new location, however we did not receive any communication from them for next 3 weeks. Then we called on April 30th and requested them to cancel the connection and they said it will be done within 2 working days. We never got any call from Airtel customer care or anybody else after that. In the month of May we started receiving calls that we have not paid the bill for the month of April and we have an outstanding amount. We went to Airtel office in Bannerghatta road and lodged the complain there once again. We got the same reply that this will be done in 2 working days and will be communicated to us, but we did not get any communication on it.

                                        Last Month we have received a legal notice saying that we have not paid the bill from April’11 to till date. After this notice we again visited Bannarghatta Road Airtel office , they asked us to lodge a complaint and we did that. But once again we have received a Airtel Bill yesterday stating that we have an outstanding amount of Rs 3,000 approx in our account. The bill clearly states that the outstanding amount is for the month of April 2011 to Nov 2011.

                                        We wrote emails at Airtel customer office but received no response. Please help.
