This is with reference to the order I placed. My payment got stuck in the first attempt, however, it was paid later.
Still, your delivery guy came with the bill which had "PAYABLE" mentioned on it and my father paid him Rs 1543/- since the delivery guy informed him that he has to pay in cash.
This is totally wrong and I spoke to the customer care yesterday evening, with the delivery guy and my father on conference call. To my surprise, he straightaway DENIED TAKING CASH, and also spoke in rough language !!
Is this what you do to customers ?? And please check I am a frequent buyer and there have been no bad experiences untill this ruckus happened.
I am disappointed and need resolution at the earliest. I have already shared the scanned copy of the wrong bill sent.

I HAVE BEEN WRITING TO YOU GUYS CONSISTENTLY ASKING FOR MY MONEY BACK AND NOW YOU HAVE SIMPLY BEEN AVOIDING MY MAILS, ABSOLUTELY NO REPLY ?? ARE YOU THUGS ??

    My name is ashish dash. I live in malad west, mumbai, maharashtra. I am writing this complaint against the online shopping portal big basket whose loyal customer i had been until the fateful day of 24th of june 2017 when i was victimised by their pathetic service and completely unreliable employees.

    This is regarding the order number: bmo[protected] that was placed on the 24th of june 2017. I had selected the delivery time slot between 07.30am to 09.30am and had opted for cash on delivery for the amount of rupees 1025. Have attached a copy of the order along with this complaint for reference.

    I had selected that time slot because i had to pack lunch with the ingredients and carry the food with me for work. I leave for work at 10.30am. But the order arrived 2 and a half hours late. The delivery boy rang my doorbell at 12pm. Noon. Now this is a company that is proud of its punctuality and even awards a 10% cashback if they do not deliver on time. But in my case, all i got was further harassment and unprofessional conduct by the customer service representatives. During the 2 and half hour delay, the customer service representatives did not even help me get in touch with the delivery guy and casually kept insisting he is on his way and that he is stuck in traffic without ever telling me exactly where he is. When i insisted that i will forfeit half a day of pay if he doesn't show up soon, they confessed they are not able to catch a hold of the delivery person because the person is not taking calls and that they can do nothing to help me. I asked for the guy's phone number so i can try myself but their officials steadfastly refused to give me his contact details. Stating that they cannot do even in case of special situations like mine.

    This is abysmal service and support that i did not expect big basket to give me. Their customer cell also handled my questions very casually giving little or no importance to the trouble caused owing to their delay. They did not provide his location or how much longer is he going to take.

    And then, as if the scenario wasn't bad enough their delivery person did not even have the forethought to carry spare change. The total cost for the order was 1025 rupees. And he did not even have change for ten rupees. I am not asking the delivery people to carry change for 500 or even 100 which they ideally should. But not even for 10 rupees? That's awful. He even told me that i was one of his early orders so he did not get change till now. It was 12pm. If he did not carry change, why did he not get change from somewhere? I had to dig out all the change i had. And when i payed him a total of 1030 and asked him for five rupees back, he said he will get back with the change and never returned.

    I have attached the biggest selling point of this fraud company that they proudly display on their website: quality you can trust and on time delivery. This is not quality anyone can trust and two and a half hour delay is not being on time. I thought this was a deemed chain run by individuals committed to their jobs. But they turned out to be duping tricksters.

    I am horrified by the sheer unprofessionalism of this company. I would urge one and all to never trust their quality of service or rely on their time slots because these are people who are never going to meet them. They have no respect for their customers and have hired a bunch of duping tricksters who fleece money from people instead of doing their jobs.

      Bigbasket sold turmeric pack with dead insect inside:

      My frined /neighbour asked for reverse pick up of sealed poly pack but it has been 5 days but big basket has not done anything on the matter;
      Shame on bigbasket..

      They are not ethical and cheats... I condemn hem. Them and suggest others to not shop from them

      I am a bigbasket user since 2016, I am writing this Article out of immediate grievance that bigbasket blocked my account.

      I am a North Indian and usually speak in Hindi but bigbasket had BAD English speaking duffers who do not understand simple things until you write them abuses for selling damaged or expired food stuff.

      these big basket professional suddenly behave as they are not understanding HINDI WHEN YOU COME WITH A COMPLAINT ABOUT THEIR PRODUCTS OR LODGE ANY GRIEVIENECS.

      BUT AT THAT MOMENT WHEN YOU YOU ABUSIVE WORDS THEY START TO UNDERSTAND HINDI SUDDENLY.

      Sometime YOU HAVE to abuse BIGBASKET and after abusing them they accepted the mistake of selling bad food stuff or expired food stuff and then they agree to take it back.

      sometime, these bad English speaking fools do not understood any complaints or issues with your orders.you have to shout and abuse to make them listen to you.

      I COMPLAINED ABOUT BAD QUALITY FOOD OF BIG BASKET AND THE BIG BASKET CLOSED BY ACCOUNT AND I WENT EMOTIONAL TO ABUSE BIG BASKET PROFESSIONAL FOR SELLING EXPIRED PRODUCT TO ME.

      AS THAT THEY BLOCKED BY ACCOUNT WITH MOBILE NO [protected] WHICH HAD MORE THAN 100 RS WALLET BALANCE .

      AND BY NOT ALLOWING ME TO SHOUT AND USE 100/- RS.

      SO I CALL BIG BASKET AS 100 RUPEES THIEF OR CHEAT,

        The order below when i have placed was shown not successful and the payment mode was changed to cash on delivery.
        I have paid the full amount for the order on online also which was from your end showed as unsuccessful payment but the amount of 2218 rs was deducted from my account.

        When i have enquire to big basket customer care, they said they have not received the amount.

        So i have enquired the bank and raised complaint,
        Now i got the report that big basket has received the amount by may 2017 itself and
        The transaction no is [protected].

        This was not expected from big basket.

        As i have paid cash on delivery for this order why you are cheating me by telling you have not received the amount?
        I need the amount back with in 2 days or else i am going to file case against you in cyber crime and fraud list.
        And i am going to tell all my social media blogger friends to write about how you guys are cheating people.

        I need update asap.

        Same thing happened with me Rs. 4238.53 was deducted from my bank account and received by big basket, but they converted my order on Cash On Delivery and now my money is gone from my account and i have to pay again for the same order in Cash. Daylight fraud it is.

          First of all i ordered my item yesterday and it was scheduled to be delivered today.I asked them about my order status this morning and they replied as 'sit back we will deliver it at the right time.'But my order was not delivered and then i get a call from bigbasket that it can't be delivered right now please cancel/modify ur order as your phone was not reachable (Bigbasket called me on my not reachable Number i.e. my not reachable number become reachable instantly wtf.).So i want a serious action to be taken regarding this complain.

            My order number BMO[protected].Received stale French bean with fungus on it. Only realized after the delivery...and also one item missing... Got to know they had no stock of it...very bad service ..they don't let customers know about it...only a name big basket showing sharukh khan...very bad pathetic service from big basket. spend twice the money to get thru customer service to complaint about a vegetable worth rs.20/- and waist of time...

              Following on my experience today, it appears that big basket is a bunch of cheats masquerading as an online grocery portal.

              I was cheated by their misleading, fraudulent offers. Also, i had a most horrendous experience dealing with big basket today (Pune purchases).

              Do not trust the offers that big basket displays on their website. It is only to cheat and mislead unsuspecting customers.

              I was cheated today by big basket's fraudulent bogo offers for mother's bemisal basmati 1 kg rice + bogo offer for india gate feast rozzana basmati 1 kg rice.

              These bogo offers were visible on the big basket website, but did not show on my invoice at the time of payment. I have attached the screenshots with this complaint.

              Later, these bogo offers mysteriously disappeared at the very moment i was speaking with their customer service tele-operator based in pune. If that was not all, this guy, aniket, sneakily emptied my basket as i was talking to him. To get rid of the evidence of course!!!

              Then it has been a nightmare with other customer service agents called hamsavalli and kishore. They kept insisting these bogo offers have expired, but the bogo offers are still on the big basket website.

              Then they refused to give the email addresses of the head - operations of pune (Mrs. Lalita aggarwal) and also of head - customer service (Rohil ahmed). Why???

              In fact, when i was trying to search for the email addresses, i discovered that many so-called senior employees of big basket have posted their personal gmail and yahoo email addresses. Is this professionalism?

              I feel completely cheated and mislead. They have ruined my sunday

                Happy evening...! The big basket company wont support for pf claiming, everything we should do from our own, more then 4 to 5 times we should go to the company, but then too they will just ignore saying some reason like we are busy at present, the particular person is in the meeting...! Very unhappy with it. Every organisation have the format and even they will guide us on the same. Its not about only me am taking, am taking about everyone who are joined the company has a fresher and they wont be familiar with it. Due to which they wont be able to claim the pf amount, my humble request to the company is that kindly help everyone so that it should not effect to us and everyone will be more satisfied with it. Live examples am giving about myself because if you guys have helped me the rejection would have not been. I have visited the kr puram pf branch office and submitted the documents, then after 2 weeks i got the sms stating that the pf settlement form has been rejected. My humble request to you guys is that i want to know the reason for the rejection of my pf form. The pf details are mentioned below.

                  I have purchased organic brown sugar from big basket. But it is not really organic. When i put that brown sugar into water it becomes white. I have attached here all the images for your reference. I usually buy organic dhall from big basket monthly. But i really doubt now whether these are original organic or duplicate. The attached is the one for proof. I completely stop now believing big basket now.

                    Not delivered till 10.15pm till i cancelled the order even after complete payment of rs.1504/-

                    Customer care agents have passed time by asking me to wait for 10 minutes and so on
                    I wasted 3 hours of my precious time
                    Preparation of dinner has been halted coz of insufficient ingredients which are supposed to be delivered by big basket
                    Now we have to throw all the food which is not fully prepared and we need to go out for dinner st this hour around 11pm

                        The product delivered especially meat is with poor quality. They never deliver on time and the delivery charges is levied for purchase of products over 1000 rupees. Vegetable and fruits will always be in a differential weight and they always charge extra for it. Am surprised there is never been a day, where the weight is under weighed.
                        Very poor service and the credit to wallet is considered to be a dead money.

                          1 kg fish has 4 tail pieces that's online shopping for you, the bigbasket.com way!

                          I bought 1 kg Hilsa fish from Bigbasket.com - MKOO[protected].

                          The order details mentioned it would be cut pieces from whole fish weighing 600-800 grams. I expected mixed pieces as they would be different weights. However as I opened the packet today I found it contained 4 tail pieces, I wonder how and why. How can one or two fishes have 4 tails! Isn’t this duping the customers who can’t cancel food orders after receipt?

                          Is this the way people will trust online shopping for daily grocery and other food items…

                            I have ordered few items @6:45 pm on 13/06/2017 from my registered mobile number [protected] and the same has supposed to get delivered by 8:35 pm but i got my items delivered @9:00 pm. Regarding this i have called to customer care number and i registered my complaint and the executive asked me to put the call on hold for some information and i did the same. But after keeping my call on hold for almost 5 minutes the call got disconnected from executive side and i didn't get the call back again. Instead of this the delivery person has come to deliver the items @ 9:00 pm and he was asking for cash instead of opting for card payment. And the reason that he gave me was that there was some issue. So now i don't understand that do you guys have only 1 swiping machine for card payment? If it is so then i am requesting you to close such kind of marketing that you guys can't handle. Also expecting that i will get some proper response from your side or else give some other complaint no.

                              This is a issue of great concern and misfortune that the ordered and delivered chicken on 04.06.2017 for bbo[protected] was of low quality and of foul smell which on preparation also become further non eatable. Earlier also, we received yogurt of low quality with expired date delivered on 18.05.2017 for bbo[protected]. This is a serious issue of consumer health and trust. After repetition o[censored]nhygienic food item supply, we strongly protest your attitude of taking customers granted and overlooking the hygiene of items supplied. Refund is not the solution of all such cases as we have to expend more with your item which also went in vain together with damage in our expectations and planning.                                 I ordered items from big basket and the delivery team was so unprofesional. Delivery guy was so bad that i had to guide him 10 times and still he could not find the place.. I was getting casual type calls from big basket customer care banglore asking me to guide the delivery guy.. And it just went on and on and still the guy couldnt find the place.. These guyz without even apologizing cancelled my order. Very bad experience with them.. Hope their team improves..

                                  We had placed order for fruits from the big basket of 26 May
                                  The basket was delivered on twenty seventh morning around 10 or so.
                                  The pine apples slices were sour and stinking, the grapes were (black variety) were crushed and emanated a foul smell. Mangoes with black dots. Watermelon, we didn't dare to cut fearing the worst. The sapotas were as hard as pebbles. All these unfit for consumption. Besides these the litchis were dry and hard with no taste. For all this big basket charged us a big hefty amount.
                                  Earlier on, few weeks back, we had ordered guavas, which had small worms oozing out of the fruit!!
                                  Instead of buying from the market, we chose big basket, as we thought, we will get stuff which will be non-carbide ridden since, these fruits were meant for an elderly patient. Will big basket be responsible if the patient falls sick after consuming this rotten delivery of fruits?
                                  The quality of the fruits delivered is zero and unfit for human consumption. Does the big basket pick their from the garbage bins near the fruit markets thrown away by the sellers after they deem it to be rotten ?
                                  I am adding few pics of the rotten grapes delivered by the big basket... they can be seen ...few crushed and broken, unfortunately, cant be smelled, believe they stink. One can only use them for making copost.

                                    May 20th was my wife's birthday ordered cake on 19th May through bigbasket.com.Delivery time scheduled between 7pm-8pm. Without any intimation cancelled the order. Did not supply. Refund my money. But i faced lot diffuculties and to arrange cake from another vendor.i had gone through serius mental pressure and insult infront of my guests. Anyway i have managed. When i enquired about this response from bigbasket unsatisfactory. I need compensation from bigbasket

                                      Hi,

                                      I have my Big basket order delivered on 1st May, 2017 at 8:45am amounting to Rs. 946/- for which the payment had been done online via net banking. There has been deduction of Rs. 946/- twice i checked my account transaction.

                                      Post connecting with BB customer care they told me (via email) that the payment has been credited only once and i should contact my bank.

                                      I contacted my bank, raised a complaint where in i got the confirmation from the bank representative that the money has been credited twice on 1st May 2017 to BB bank and i should rewrite a email to BB customer care plus the Bank representative. Its 17th May 2017 today i haven't received any resolution nor my money (Rs.946/-) back.

                                      Don't know between the Bank and Big Basket who is going to revert my money back.

                                        I had ordered Cauliflower. It came wrapped nicely in a package and was delivered to us. That evening when we cut open the Cauliflower a large black worm was inside and it had laid innumerable eggs inside!! We had to throw it away immediately. My money was wasted. This raiaes a severe question on the quality of fresh vegetables delivered by BigBasket. I have been ordering from here for a long time and was genuinely shocked.
